1. I have the exact opposite problem. I've played Power Stone 2, but I never played Power Stone. PS2 is a really fun game and really deserves some credit for inspiring the insane interactivity of Smash Bros. Melee's levels. After all, PS2 did come out 2 or 3 years before Smash Bros. Melee.
2. I just thought of another good game: Power Stone 2 for the Dreamcast. Power Stone 2 was a very good Smash Bros. esque game that had some very good ideas. This was the game that included the intricately interactive levels that I really hoped (and luckily, they were) would be implemented in Super Smash Bros. Melee. If you've ever played this game, you know that some of the levels can get pretty intense. Whether you're running from a giant boulder, climbing up a waterfall, or trying to avoid lasers shot from cannons, the action never stops in these levels. The actual battles are very fun as well. Power Stone takes Smash Bros. weapons-based gameplay and bolsters it with about 50-60 odd different weapons that you can use. There aren't as many fighters in this game as there are in Smash Bros. Melee but the matches never really get too repetitive. Overall, if you still have a Dreamcast and you've never played this game (and you're bored with what's out right now), then this would be a very good pickup if you can find it.
3. Congrats! I hope the baby does very well! I'm sure he'll have a good life ahead of him!
4.
Originally posted by Shinobi1827 Cell has the saiyan cells in him. So, he would have the saiyan arrogance. That's what i think.
That's very interesting. I never thought of that before. It makes a lot of sense that Cell would inherit the traits of the people who he absorbed/was built from.

Bj

I'm not really much of a Bjork fan, but I don't hate her either. But I will say this: her videos are some of the most amazingly weird (in a good way, that is) videos I've ever seen. You just can't take your eyes off of them (though not in the bad, train-wreck kind of way).
6.
Originally posted by The Getaway Man Well, like mirai_torankusu said its a lot easier to lose well, I wouldn't want to spend $100-200 on something that I might lose!
Hey, I just put that in there as a joke. You know, a little self-depricating humor that makes light of the fact that I'm not the most responsible person in the world. The statement I made should in no way be used to deter people from buying a GBA SP if they want to. Besides, not everyone loses small things like me anyways lol.
7. Actually, I quite enjoyed the busy levels. They reminded me of Power Stone (I think that's what it's called - please correct me if I am wrong) for the Dreamcast. I'm hoping that Nintendo will make the levels even better for the Smash Bros. sequel.
8.
Originally posted by Desbreko Oh, one thing you didn't mention, though, is the flip-top screen.
Man, I forgot about the flip-top screen! I don't actually have a GBA SP myself (costs too much for me right now because I have limited funds) so it was kinda easy for me to forget about that. But I have played it at Best Buy and that screen was pretty cool. Knowing me, I'd abuse it like nobodies business and flip it open non-stop to show how cool it is.
9.
Originally posted by The Getaway Man Ok I've only played S.S.B. once or twice and it would be really cool to be able to have a "GameCube Live" thing like with the PS2 and XBox and play S.S.B with people around the country! That woulb be sweet!
That would probably never happen seeing as Nintendo would never go third party, which would be the only possible situation in which your idea could happen. Although, I do admit that it would be pretty cool. Unlikely but cool. Edit: Whoops, my mistake. Sorry. Thanks for pointing it out to me, Desbreko.
10. You wanna know what's so great about it? Well, here goes: 1) The light. Sure, you think it wastes batteries, but the light is probably the most important addition to the GBA SP. The biggest problem with the GBA was that the screen was way too dark and it was nearly impossible to play certain games (Castlevania: Circle of the Moon is brought up a lot) unless you're in direct sunlight. The light enables you to actually see what you are doing, which is pretty good, one would think. 2) The rechargable batteries. This has been a long time coming. If you're like me, you do not like buying a new pack of batteries for your GBA every couple of months. The rechargable batteries deal with that problem quite nicely. For a few hours recharge, you can play your GBA SP for 13 hours with the backlight and for 18 hours without it. I'd say that's a pretty good deal. 3) The size. You mentioned the size, and I happen to like the smaller size. The smaller size makes the GBA SP that much more portable (although, for people like me, it also makes it that much easier to lose lol) and easier to hold in your hands. Thankfully, Nintendo made a decent button layout to go along with the size change. Hope that answers your question.
11. One sided religious devotion for sure. Even though Legato knew that Knives hated all of humanity, he still worshipped him like a god. Legato bought into Knives' stuff about him being a higher being and was really obsessed with the arm that Knives gave him. Of course, Knives does not share the same devotion. I think Knives hated Legato just as much as he hated any other human, regardless of his powers.
12. I don't know, maybe it's just a social commentary showing that nobody can be truly perfect. Or it could be something completely different.
13. What I'd really like to see, and I have no idea if Nintendo would even think about this, is that the next Smash Bros. should be two discs. One disc would be solely dedicated to single player and the other disc would be dedicated to multiplayer. That way, the multiplayer disc could have as many levels and characters as possible. Also, on the single player disc, Nintendo could finally realize my Adventure mode dream: character specific (or at least series specific) Adventure modes. Just think about it: When you're playing as Samus, you could play through a bunch of Metroid-like levels, the bosses you would face would be from Metroid (just thinking about fighting Kraid or Ridley gives me goosebumps lol), etc. A game like that would keep me in my room for years...not that that's a bad thing...
14. Here's something I'm curious about: If you have the portable screen for the GameCube (sorry, but I can't remember its official name at the moment), would you then be able to use the Game Boy Player as a portable system?
15. I was never scared by any of them (if I was, I sure don't remember it), but most of them were pretty good. But I can't help but realize how short they are now...I can burn through any of them in about 20-30 minutes...
16. I like the regular Goosebumps but the Choose Your Own Adventures were always my favorites. I still go back and read them even though I know all the right way to go.
17. I hope to get one soon, but it looks like I'd probably have to save up for one myself to get it (I only have $30, so it'll take a while). From the looks of it, it could end up being even better than the Super Game Boy (which, behind the Game Boy Camera, is my favorite peripheral of all time). This could defintely help with the games that are way too dark to see on the GBA's screen (the Castlevania games come to mind), although the GBA SP also helps with that problem. Hopefully, it will end up being a high-quality peripheral.
18. Hey, hey. Don't let those comments get you down. If you keep practicing, you could probably become pretty good at drawing. Just don't completely give up on drawing like I did. I gave up on it and lost any talent I had (which, admittedly, wasn't that much).
19.
Originally posted by Solo Tremaine Um... it's spelt 'Pensieve', by the way ^_^;
Thanks. I didn't have the book with me and I wasn't sure of the right way to spell it. Of all the times for me not to have the book...
20.
But damnit! If only Harry'd kept up with his Occlumency lessons... There are so many mized feelings about all the characters in the book- we see so many different sides to everyone in it. Sirius, Harry, Dumbledore. It's fantastically diverse.

Hey, don't forget about Snape.
The little peak into his memories we get in Harry's first Occlumency lesson and when Harry sees into the Penisieve (is that spelled right?) really show a different side to Snape. In the beginning, he's really the character everyone loves to hate, but you end up really feeling sorry for him (at least I did).
21. I've never heard of Clash at Demonhead, but it sounds pretty cool. I'll have to look it up somewhere. Battle of Olympus, however, I have heard of and it's a very good game. I played it once and it is much better than Zelda II. Although, I think that's just because I never really enjoyed Zelda II all that much.
22.
Originally posted by WW2 I read in one EGM mag that one of the creators of FF would like to make another game based on the adventers between Cloud and Aeris.
I believe that was the issue of EGM with the FFX cover story. Personally, I would like to see a FFVII remake, but only if it can further the story without complicating things. Square could also smooth out the difficulty because there were a few bosses in FFVII that needed a couple hours of serious leveling up to beat.
23. Boy, this is a thread where Semjaza's idea of one gaming forum would come in handy. Me, I've always been a fan of the game that got less than their due. The games that were really good, but got overshadowed for various reasons (whether high profile games came out at the same time, it came out when a console was almost "dead," etc.) have always appealed to me. So, I decided to make this thread, seeing as I haven't seen one like this. For me, one of the most underrated games has always been Kirby Super Star. Kirby Super Star had nine extremely enjoyable (albeit short) games included on one cartridge. If that isn't a deal, I don't know what is. Both Revenge of the Meta Knight and Milky Way Wishes could easily have been stand alone Kirby games. I really enjoy this game a lot, and wish I had bought it when I had a chance (I saw it for $10 once at a game rental store...I'm still kicking myself). Too bad it came out at the end of the SNES' life cycle or it would have received a lot more attention.
24. Well, I think that you only need one to beat the game and that is the Garo's Mask, which is required for entry to Ikana Canyon. But if you count the boss remains as masks (you do give them to the skull children after all), then I guess you need five to beat the game. I'll wait for the okay from Desbreko before making a question.
25. The thing that makes me smile the most, personally, is waiting for something for a really long time, finally getting it, and realizing that it's better than you ever hoped it would be (be it a book, video game, movie, etc.)
