The other two episodes are just completely awful and without any merit whatsoever; it's only the English dub that keeps them afloat. Trust me on this. (Plus, the soul snatching literally happens within the first minute of the first episode. What you see in the beginning of the video is shot-for-shot the first scene of the OVA.)

If I watched it in Japanese, I'd probably stab myself halfway through.

Loved this episode, and you did a lot given the limited resources. (Skype trying to ruin Christmas!) The "Christmas Cake" song segment is especially well produced; great work there. And I am indescribably happy that Hans von Hozel's great works of literature will reach a wider audience.

    Finished the [b]Patlabor[/b] OVA a few days back. Third episode is still my favorite, but the ones after that are pretty cool too. Goto is my hero. Also watched the first [b]Patlabor[/b] movie today. Definitely a bit more serious than the OVAs but with some good humor here and there. I loved it about as much as the OVA. The budget's a bit bigger for this, too, so there's some wonderful animation, especially at the climax. And NOA~ <3

      I know this is predictable coming from me... but I'd love for you to review the Evangelion Rebuilds (maybe 2.0, which hasn't yet been released on DVD? Maybe 1.0 and 2.0?)

      I'd be keen to hear your take on them - as well as the general idea of doing a rebuild in the first place.

    Yeah, I was told that [b]Patlabor[/b]'s approach -- at least when it comes to mecha -- is much more down to earth than most series, to the point where the mecha are basically like any other machine. I like the characters so far, though, so that's no biggie. I especially love Goto. Dude's awesome. The order I'm going through them is original OVA --> movie 1 + movie 2 --> TV series --> New Files. I heard the third movie sucks, so I don't know if I'll watch it.
