1.
I find tennis incredibly hard. I don't know why, but I can't get that freaking fourth target in the third training level. All I've managed to do is put holes in the tiles.[/FONT']
The first two traning levels aren't that difficult, but, yeah, the third is tough. I was awful at it in the beginning lol. I kept hitting the ball WAY too hard. Damn ball kept flying everywhere except where it was actually supposed to go. I've gotten better but my high score is still only eight targets. :(
  2. Like everyone else, I'm also loving Wii Sports so far. I'm not sure yet whether I like tennis or bowling more, but they're both great. With tennis it's weird at first to not be able to control your character... I got used to it quickly though. Much tougher was stifling the instinct to make long, hard swings as though I were playing real tennis lol. I quickly learned that simple swipes work for both backhands and forehands, haha. It's cool that you can impart topspin and slice on the ball as well. That'll make for some interesting games when I play with my tennis pals. :P Bowling definitely offers the best combination of accesibility and depth. My sister does not bowl at all, and yet she got the hang of it quickly enough to cream me with a 150 game lol. Aiming the ball and putting spin on it is easy too. It's nice to be able to hit shots that I couldn't dream of hitting in real life. :p I think boxing is a bit more fun than reviews indicate, though it does have its share of problems. The controls aren't exactly accurate, so it's somewhat difficult to hit your opponent exactly how you want to hit him/her (especially with body shots, I've found), but it's fun (and tiring) in short bursts if you go all out. My dad unleashed a flurry of fists on my brother in the first round of one of their battles and knocked him out right away; he's yet to hear the end of that, haha. It was hilarious. Baseball I'm actually a bit disappointed with. Hitting is kind of fun, but just doing what is essentially batting practice gets a bit dull after a while. Pitching is a bit more enjoyable; fooling the hitter with different pitches is cool, though like boxing it is tiring after a while. Golf is eh to me right now, because the controls are so sensitive, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it once I get the hang of it. Has anyone gotten deep into the training and fitness modes yet? Some of those are pretty fun. I played the tennis training games non-stop this morning lol. I swear by week's end I'll have a gold medal on all of them.
  3.
I'm kind of diappointed otherwise, though. The stages certainly aren't anything fabulous (the shyguy race track basically just looks like the F-Zero level) and the character design for Mario still looks like ****. Seriously, he somehow seems shorter and his jeans are like.. baggy. It's weird.[/FONT']
I slightly agree with the first point. I didn't like that the Mario Kart level is seemingly Mute City in Mario Kart colors; I hope something is added to it to spice it up a bit. I'm sure that there will be great levels though. The Kid Icarus level with the crumbling platforms looked fun, for example. I'd like to see the developers go all the way with that - maybe include some of the enemies from Kid Icarus, like the Eggplant Wizard or even Medusa. It'd be hilarious to see a character's head turned into an eggplant during a battle, haha. I'm indifferent about Mario's design. The jeans look a bit weird, sure, but who's really going to notice that during gameplay? lol Also I loved Fox in the trailer. He looks even cooler now, and he has an upgraded taunt~. Fox's taunt is my favorite in Smash Bros. Melee (closely rivaled by Game and Watch's and Donkey Kong's taunts); it's awesome to see that it's actually been made more arrogant. I am pleased.

    Lost

Another good episode last night. The stuff with Juliet, Ben and Jack is the most intriguing part of the show for me.
Right now there are two schools of thought concerning her actions: She's working with Ben and doing this to trick Jack or she really is working to kill Ben. Personally, based on what we've seen of Juliet, I'm going for the latter. I really think she's aiming for a good old fashioned coup d'état here. Whether she'll actually help Jack is something else entirely... if she knows how, I suppose she'll try to get him off the island as quickly as she can; otherwise, Jack could potentially be a liability for her. It wouldn't be pretty if the Others found out her plot, because I'm sure there are plenty of Ben-loyalists around. I'm also interested in what kind of leader Juliet would actually be. She's definitely been portrayed as crafty and manipulative thus far (as has Ben), and she's got a cold, "do whatever it takes" side to her, as well, as pointed out by Sawyer to Kate after Juliet put a gun to Kate's head. I sincerely doubt that the Others would become peaceful toward the survivors with Juliet at the helm. But this all depends on Jack actually helping Juliet, and I'm on the fence as to whether he'll actually do it or not. On the one hand, he definitely wants to get the hell off the island - it's the goal of all the survivors, after all. On the other hand, Jack is a pretty loyal guy, and I'm not sure how comfortable he'd be ditching Kate and Sawyer, not to mention everyone else. And, when the time actually comes, could Jack really kill Ben? Jack is all about saving people; it's an obsession. We'll see whether that obsession outweighs his desire to get off the island. If he does kill Ben, though, I doubt we'll see him get off as clean as Juliet would like. Hell, maybe some of the more perceptive (or paranoid lol) Others would suspect foul play (even though, as Juliet said, the surgery is very risky and complicated). I think that it would be interesting if Jack had to make a quick escape from the Others' HQ and also had to take Juliet with him. Also, the mourning process for Eko beings now. :( It was actually a nice send off for him, I thought. The image of a younger Eko walking off into the sunset with Yemi was especially poignant. I like that the episode showed that Eko was not perfect: There are some grumblings that Eko was wildly out of character, but I would disagree with that. Eko's tried hard to stay true to his new life, to stay true to his religion, but he was not Yemi. He's always had those nagging doubts about doing immoral things that may lead to good: He killed those Others to protect himself (though I guess that was pre-conversion); he beat the crap out of Michael, Jin and Sawyer to protect the tailies; he knocked out Locke and forcefully dragged him into the jungle to show him what needed to be shown; and so on. Eko didn't choose 'evil' by remaining unrepentant or something equally ridiculous like I've seen suggested by various people. In his mind, he was doing what needed to be done to help people. He's a good person who, unfortunately, had to resort to bad means to help people. The smoke-monster itself is a bit more interesting now, since it has a different appearance to different people... we saw it as Eko saw it, but apparently when Locke looked upon it, it was like a bright, white light. Maybe it's symbolic of how reconciled each is with his faith? Locke was totally faithful when he first saw the monster, and I would imagine that it would look the same to him now; Eko was still probably struggling deep down with his faith during the times he saw the monster. It's also interesting that the monster is acting as a judge of sorts - an extension of the Other system of naming "good" and "bad" people. Eko was on the 'bad' list the first night, right?
Whew. That's a lot to think about lol. I'll leave with one last note: Paolo and especially Nikki = teh sux. Paolo is a bit less annoying than Nikki because of
the bathroom thing
(that was funny), but then he went right back to being annoying when he tried to emulate Sawyer with the whole, "Yeah let's get out of here now lol" thing. Nikki is just blah.
"Hey, let's try using the monitors to look at the Others! I'm sure nobody has thought of that before! Tee hee!"
plz die
  5. My siblings and I ventured out last night and had some fun. We had to go to another town to trick or treat, though - unfortunately, Halloween has been dying a slow death in our neighborhood, and the streets were practically barren. Seriously, barely a kid in sight. It's weird. But, yeah, we had fun generally goofing around and grabbing candy. This year I continued my Lost motif by dressing as Jack (last year I went as Charlie), but I couldn't keep it as simple as putting on a doctor costume. Behold! Yes, I put on a terrible wig and went as Jack with the bad hair from "Man of Science, Man of Faith." The sight of Jack with that awful hair still cracks me up. I knew that it would make a perfect Halloween costume for me. :animesmil (Go to this site to see Jack's terrible hair. Just click on the image in the middle if the picture doesn't show up.) My sister is dressed as Hermione from Harry Potter and my brother went as an Iron Chef warrior. Here are a couple more pictures of me from last night: Jack's father really pissed him off here. :P And a glimpse of the future in which Jack actually gets a normal-looking hairdo.
  6.
Give me real music anyday.[/color']
:stupid: My favorite video game OST flips around a lot. Right now I'm really enjoying the Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross OSTs... moreso Chrono Cross. I love the flavor of Chrono Cross' music and how different it is compared to what you normally get from Final Fantasy and whatnot. It makes every song so much fun for me to listen to: I'm embarassingly addicted to "Time's Scar" at the moment, for example. Chrono Trigger just has a lot of songs that I enjoy listening to that also do a nice job of setting the mood for wherever you're at. Super Metroid's OST is also a perennial favorite of mine. Every song on there is just perfect for that game lol. I'd say it's still one of the strongest examples of how great music can better immerse people into a game's environment.
  7.
I guess it's just personal opinion that it's too soon. I just thought it was kinda sad with his daughters dvd coming out and around the same time. I know they make fun of everything but for some reason i guess this kinda bothered me. Just me.
Well, there's nothing wrong with not finding the joke funny. Again, you either get it or you don't. It's just the 'too soon' stuff that makes me go, "Huh?" There is no set amount of time that has to pass for jokes about tragic events to be funny - hell, Norm Macdonald cracked a few Steve Irwin jokes on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart literally a week or so after the guy died, and I laughed because I thought they were funny jokes. I mean, I felt kind of bad for laughing (so did Jon Stewart lol), because I actually am a Steve Irwin fan, but what can you do? It was a funny routine.
  8.
You're complaining about the Steve Irwin joke (by the way, Satan actually says that it's too soon when he thinks Irwin is actually someone in an Irwin costume), but not any of the other things they've done on South Park?
Basically. If you actually, you know, watch the clip (it's on YouTube), then you'll see that the joke is more a jab at the idea that there is an 'appropriate' and 'inappropriate' time to make fun of someone's death rather than a joke that out and out mocks Steve Irwin's death. Personally, I agree with the show: The idea of 'too soon' is ludicrous. Either you think that the joke is funny or you don't. Time probably isn't going to do too much to change that. JFK humor didn't suddenly become funny twenty-five years after the guy died or whatever.
  9. Another solid episode last night. The look on Hiro's face when
he saw Nathan land
was hilarious. His conversation with
Nathan
was great too. How could you not love Hiro? Haha. He knows more English than I figured he would; I guess that it's just the obscure phrases such as, "You will die in five weeks and New York will be destroyed in an explosion" that give him trouble. :p By the way,
considering that the show took the time to show that Nathan wins the election in the apocalyptic future, I bet that Nathan will have to sacrifice his Congressional aspirations in order to save the world.
Also good to see that Hiro and Ando (or English-Speaking Friend as I like to call him :P) weren't fighting for too long. Their antics keep the show from becoming too somber. :) I'm also intrigued by the shades of gray concerning Mr. Bennet's motives.
He's definitely got something shady going on, but I don't know if it's full-on evil like what Sylar's apparently been doing. He does seem to genuinely care about Claire's well-being. Then again, erasing the quarterback's memory could just have been a precaution so that he can continue observing Claire without tons of people butting in. Still, I'm on the fence right now as to whether Mr. Bennet is completely bad, and I actually think that he's standing in opposition to Sylar.
10.
I win this thread.
Pretty much. The only valid reason to own a copy of Wand of Gamelon is because you're an obsessive Zelda completist. That giant Game Boy is pretty cool though. I'd post something, but geeky purchases aren't really my specialty. Geeky knowledge is where I shine. :p
And why is everyone spoilering stuff that's already happened? This is the Lost discussion thread right, so should we be able to discuss stuff that has happened without spoilering it?
Eh, it's just common courtesy. You know, just in case someone who might just be starting the series doesn't come in here and accidentally become privy to something big that happens later on. It's not as if it takes a lot of effort to put something in spoiler tags lol. By the way, I actually sort of liked Ana-Lucia more the second time I watched Season Two. She's not one of my favorite characters, or anything, but I understood better why she did things the way she did them.

- Desmond seeing the future[/I']

Oh yes.
Desmond the prophet?
I'll take that. I am impressed with how he somehow manages to get cooler every time he shows up. What a guy. :love2:

- The return of the polar bear(s)!

Yeah, that was cool. When I watched the previews, I thought that the
smoke monster
would show up again, but
the polar bear
was a nice surprise. Fun callback to the second season, too, with the horse (even if it was to the worst episode of last season - ****ing Kate).

- Locke's hallucination (easily one of the coolest moments in the show so far, as far as I'm concerned)

Hell yes. I loved how surreal it was; the washed out color was cool as hell.
Desmond showing up as the pilot
delighted me, as well. The visual of
Locke crawling up the escalator
struck a chord with me, too, for some reason.

- Locke taking charge of the rest of the group and delivering the speech predicted by Desmond

It is SO GREAT to see Locke back to his old self lol. I enjoyed seeing Locke struggle with his faith, but man, watching him slink through the forest, fight off that polar bear, and really redeem himself by rescuing Eko... Locke is the man again.

- "So... the hatch blew off your underwear."

Haha, that was hilarious. I also enjoyed,
"Hey, bear... is that you?"
:animesmil Something else I found amusing is how
Nikki and Paulo were introduced at the end, seemingly at random. My siblings were basically going, "WTF? Who are they?"
Haha. EDIT: Oh yeah, Locke as a trucker (of sorts) was very funny to me as well. Anyway, it was a great episode, definitely the best of the season so far. Huzzah for Locke. Some bad news though:
According to Wikipedia, the 6th episode is going to be a Kate-centric episode. Noooooo!!!! :( :( :(
13.
Talking about impact of games, though I think it's kind of silly to bring up the impact, considering that FFVII's only impact had nothing to do with characters. FFVII's impact was on presentation[/i']. Nothing more.
I'm guessing that you're speaking on a gameplay-only basis (your OoT/Z-Targeting example implies that, at least lol), because that certainly isn't the only impact that FFVII had on gaming. FFVII greatly expanded the market for RPGs in America. Before 1997, most RPGs sold in the States never became much more than cult hits if they were lucky (previous Final Fantasy titles included). The best sold well enough, but they were stuck in that RPG niche. FFVII broke out of that niche, sold MASSIVELY, and introduced a ton of casual gamers to RPGs. Frankly, I'd say that nearly every RPG that sells well today in America has FFVII to thank for its success. I agree with you about everything else regarding FFVII though. It's a very important game in the history of video games, but there are definitely better RPGs out there. And Smash Bros. Melee still rocks, by the way. I had a little Smash Bros. party with a few friends over the weekend, and we had a hell of a time. I can't wait until Smash Bros. Brawl comes out. :)
  14. I'll try to stick to bands I haven't mentioned over and over again in threads like these. :p The Murder of Rosa Luxemburg: Solid hardcore band. I'm not as into hardcore as some of you other guys, so it's nice to listen to a band that's not quite as abrasive as the other hardcore bands I've heard, haha. Shining: Very cool Norwegian experimental jazz band. All I have of their work is In the Kingdom of Kitsch You Will Be A Monster, but it's a damn good album lol. You might enjoy some of their songs if you like the jazzier stuff on Cowboy Bebop or something similar. dada: Great rock band. Again, I've only got one thing they've done, Puzzle, and it's a ****ing great album. Basically catchy, kickass rock from start to finish. Television: Fantastic, highly influential rock band. I'd wager that a few of you in here already know who they are and know how brilliant Marquee Moon is. The title track is honestly one of the best songs I've ever heard. Burden Brothers: Vaden Todd Lewis' current band, so if you like Toadies then you should definitely check them out. Buried In Your Black Heart isn't quite as good as Toadies' best, but it's a hell of a lot of fun. David McCormack and the Polaroids: Kind of surprised that Kevin hasn't already mentioned them. David McCormack is awesome. He really knows how to write a great tune and he has such variety in his music. And, really, how could you not love a guy who writes an album full of love songs with titles like "I'm Going to Execute Yr Ex-Boyfriend" and "If You Leave Me (I Will Hunt You Down and Kill You)." God damn that's love.

Don't really have the energy to go into anything really detailed right now, but this was another good episode and a nice progression in the story. My favorite scene was
where Ben was telling Jack that the Others have contact with the outside world. Jack laughing off Ben when Ben told him that the Red Sox won the World Series was funny, and Ben showing him that it actually happened was a fantastic, surreal moment. The look on Jack's face said it all: "Maybe they really can get me out of here." Personally I'd be torn about what to do... I'd really like to get the hell off the island, but I'd feel guilty as hell abandoning everyone else, especially if I helped lead them into that mess. I'm sure that Jack is very interested in what actually keeps The Others on the island though. He'll definitely go along with them for now, but the first chance he gets he's going to bust out Kate and Sawyer.
Speaking of Sawyer,
holy mother of God did he ever rule in this episode. He poured on the sleaze and the sarcasm extra-thick, and I ate it up with a damn spoon lol. Sawyer channeling Paul Newman in Cool Hand Luke = awesome. Poor guy will be averaging like five shocks an episode soon enough though. And Ben watching Kate and Sawyer while Sawyer was formulating his escape plan was pretty damn creepy.
Don't have much to say about the flashback at the moment besides that I liked it a lot (as per usual with Jin/Sun episodes) and
Jin is pretty ****ing scary when he's angry lol. It almost seemed as if he knew what had happened, but I don't know whether he could be that forgiving if that were the case. Pretty interesting that Jin abstains from killing even in the most extreme situation, whereas Sun had no problem killing when she needed to (at least, I'm assuming that Other is dead lol).
Lastly, is it just me or is
Benjamin Linus a perfect villain name
? :p
  16.
I think its Ryuga.

That's not L's name. It's an alias he used so that Light would be unable to kill him. He chose it because it was also the name of a famous pop star; if Light wrote the name in the Death Note, he could very well kill Ryuga the pop star, which would obviously be bad for Light. :P Apparently, though, a new "volume" of Death Note is going to be released next Friday in which L's real name will be revealed.
:D The season premiere was very good, and the first five or so minutes were just wild.
The Others really have it nice up there on that plateau, haha. Seeing all of them in regular clothes and leading regular lives was surreal. And the plane crashing... oh my god, that was fantastic. It's more obvious than ever that The Others planned for this to happen, but I'm still wondering how they could have planned for Desmond to crash the plane. Hmm.
The rest of the episode was cool.
Poor Sawyer. The guy gets thrown into a filthy cage outside, and when he tries to escape he gets another dart in the neck. I wonder where The Others took that one kid who tried to escape - The Box, maybe? The scene with Henry (or Ben, now, I guess - it's going to take me so long to get used to calling him that) and Kate was awesome; Ben is so God damn creepy. Somehow he's even more unsettling in clean, normal clothes than he is in tattered rags. He was a total bastard down in the aquarium with Jack and Juliet, but I'm guessing that was just a ruse to get Jack to trust Juliet more.
Flashback was great too. Jack episodes are such a guilty pleasure for me lol. For some reason I get a big kick out of watching how screwed up Jack's past is.
Had to have been pretty embarrassing getting thrown into the clink after interrupting his dad's AA meeting and falsely accusing him of having a little something going on with Sarah. Nutso, obsessed Jack fascinates the hell out of me, haha.
So, yeah, overall it was a solid episode and it set things up nicely for the rest of this short arc. Next week's episode looks fantastic... a bit more action than we got this week, and hopefully we'll be properly updated on the condition of Locke, Eko, and Desmond.

Oh my god, what an episode. I really liked the first season finale, but this episode blew that out of the water with ease. Just fantastic, riveting stuff the whole way through. I swear, my hands are shaking right now lol.
The season finale can be summed up with a single sentence:
Henry is the ******* man.
In all seriousness, though, I just became a ridiculous, irrational, rabid
Henry
fangirl. The moment when it became clear that
he was the "Him" & the mastermind that all the Others were scared of[/spoiler'] was priceless.
YES. Jesus, that was such a fantastic moment.
Henry
is a damned genius;
the guy fooled Jack and Sayid like it was nothing that whole time. I can't believe that I never suspected it... I knew that he was obviously of some importance to The Others, since they went through so much trouble to get him back, but man. I'm so glad he's going to be around for next season though. What do you think about the look that Henry had on his face when he saw all of the craziness that was coming from the hatch? I'm not certain that he was expecting that... to me, it honestly looked like he had an, "Oh, ****" look on his face. Then again, I could be wrong, obviously.
As for becoming ridiculous, irrational, rabid fans of certain characters...
DESMOND~! God, his utter coolness just went up like ten trillion points for me. From his showing up drunk out of his mind and channeling Jack Sparrow to his awesome backstory and heroics at the end of the episode, Desmond is (was? :() just the ******* man. Lost has some great characters that I really love, but Desmond in this episode is probably the most I've been into a character thus far in the series.

Odds on survival for Locke, Ecko and Desmond... probably very low, loath though I am to admit it. It would be sad and yet not entirely unfitting for them to die that way. But I would still be awfully depressed.

I'm torn.
Logic tells me that they've all died... but the final scene of the episode has given me some hope (what a shocker that scene was, by the way). It would kind of suck to have Penny searching all of next season only to find that Desmond is dead. Then again, that'd probably lead to some great, dramatic stuff in and of itself, so it's more than conceivable that Desmond is dead, at the very least; they could go anywhere with this. (I love how unpredictable Lost is!) Frankly, though, I'm not sure that I could take it if three of my favorite characters died in one fell swoop.

Odds that Michael's boat will either blow up as soon as they reach the horizon or just lead them back to the island... 50/50, I'd say, for the sole reason that now that Penelope seems to be on the right trail, it might actually work for an ex-island character to continue participating in the story.

I don't think that Henry nor anybody else is going to do anything to Michael's boat. Henry has this fixation with being a "good person" ... he said that he couldn't die, because he is a good person, he tells Michael that The Others are the good guys, etc. And he also said that he keeps his word, so if the fact that Henry truly sees himself as a good person is the one true thing we know about him (and I think that it is), then Michael and Walt are safe. What's going to happen with Jack, Sawyer, and Kate, though? That'll be very interesting.

I'm going to have this funny empty feeling all summer...
Same here. I got my first taste of Lost when the Season 1 DVD set came out, so I only had to wait a couple of weeks for the second season to start. Now I'll be waiting until Autumn; it's going to be a long summer. :animecry: --- Come on, nobody's brought this thread back yet? Shame on you guys. :whoops: Lost starts up again on Wednesday. I'm excited as hell, and I know that Dagger and Manic are probably excited too. The rest of you should get on the bandwagon while you can, because I can tell that this season will be a hell of a ride. Some random spoilers that have been revealed about Season Three and are completely legit (as in, they've been 100% confirmed by Damon Lindelof, Carlton Cuse, or both):
- Locke, Eko, and Desmond are all alive - The season premiere will be a Jack episode and will center on Jack's suspicions that his wife and his dad had a little something going on the side (side note: I love Jack episodes - his life is so bizarre and ****** up) - "Henry Gale's" real name will be revealed, as will the identity of his lost love (I literally "WTF"ed when I read that) - Kate will choose either Jack or Sawyer (and hopefully she won't ruin either of them) - Sayid's going on the warpath this year - Not really a Season Three spoiler, as such, but Yunjin Kim said that Lindelof and Cuse tolder her that it will literally be the end of the series when we find out who the father of Sun's child is. - The sixth episode will end with a cliffhanger that will change the entire course of the series. (I've heard tons of theories about what this will be, haha.)
Six episodes to start the season, about three months off, and then seventeen straight to finish off the year. The wait is a bit disappointing, but it should be a lot more satisfying than last season's stop-and-go schedule. I honestly think that Lost's second season was definitely superior to the first; however, the terrible, choppy scheduling didn't allow the season to build the momentum it needed. The more favorable schedule, along with the two arc story structure, should work wonders for Lost this year. :) Bring on the show!!
  19. That was a great episode. I had a strong feeling that
Isaac would have been the one to draw the comic with Hiro on it,
but I was definitely thrown for a loop when it was revealed that
Hiro traveled too far into the future when he teleported to New York; he obviously doesn't have complete control over his powers just yet, haha.
And, yeah,
the trunk was pretty wild, as was the discovery of the skeleton in the burial spot. I wonder who else she's been ditching there. Seeing Isaac with the top of his head sawed off was crazy, too. Claire's dad is a ****ing nutjob.
Oh, and Mohinder keeps jumping up on my cool scale, that rascally professor. The girl
who saved him
is cool, too, and pretty damn cute. ;)
  20.
I'm sorry, did I just see someone describe this show as "poetic justice"? lol. Sorry, but the idea of the show is noble (catching online predators) but I can't see how anyone could ever describe it as "justice" let alone some weird highly romanticized distorted notion of the idea of justice. If Dateline were to simply gather the information and inform the police officers, then it would be justice. If Dateline weren't broadcasting this crap on national television in what is clearly more an attempt to humiliate/expose rather than protect children, then it would be actual justice. If the host of Dateline or whoever weren't strolling out in front of a camera crew, then it would be actual justice. If the show did something other than "DATELINE SPECIAL" then it would be actual justice.
That's basically how I feel about this. Yes, it's nice that pedophiles are getting their comeuppance, but when shows like Dateline capitalize on these cases for people's entertainment (and that is what they are doing, no matter how much they try to disguise it), then I honestly can't think of them as anything more than sensationalistic garbage. The ends are nice but the means are awful.
  21. The Sci-Fi Channel is going to be airing reruns of Heroes on Fridays at 7:00 PM starting this week. Hopefully you have cable or something lol.
  22. I'll be the one to guess that you have a younger brother. :P The first two aren't right, anyway. I have a fantastic memory!
  23. Better post so that JC can post!! :p Last night's episode was good.
All that **** with House's carpet was hilarious. Wilson coming into his office, seeing that everyone was already in there, and then immediately leaving had me rolling. House and Cuddy sniping at each other always makes for a good time as well.
The stuff with the underage girl was great too.
You should've seen me when House launched into the Casablanca quotes, haha. That was so fantastic. I hope that's not the last we see of her though. It seems like kind of a cop-out that her infatuation with House is a result of spores or whatever. House's, "Damn it! Damn it!" after his explanation was pretty damn funny, at least.
EDIT:

You realize House was just saying that so the girl would begin to question her own judgement, right? the giveaway was when he said 'You'll probably live.' At least, that's how I interpreted it. Some women are just sluts.[/spoiler']
Haha, that would be the obvious explanation, wouldn't it? Me = dumb. Main story was also good.
It just cracks me up whenever House sends Cameron, Foreman, and Chase to do some god awful job like strapping down the autistic kid so that they can run tests on him. And, once again, the way the show wraps up the problems in the end is pretty amazing. I wonder if every ending is going to be some type of "touching ending" this season? Sure seems like it, haha. (Unless the show made a point of ending like that even in the first two seasons... not like I would know lol.)
24. Haha, I was going to make this thread too. Anyway, yes, the series premiere was fantastic. Like White, I loved how everyone actually discovered their powers. My favorite image of discovery was either Claire (the cheerleader)
popping her shoulder back into its socket after that eighty-foot fall (though they make it obvious that she knew about her power long before that)
or Isaac (the drug addict/artist)
shivering like crazy and pointing out how his paintings have translated into reality - pretty eerie stuff.
Hiro exploding with joy after
teleporting to New York City
and Nathan
actually being the one who can fly rather than Peter
were awesome moments too. The latter of those two was a nice twist, as was
that weird guy talking to Mohinder in the car being Claire's father. I think it's a safe bet that he already knows about Claire's power, and judging by his conversation with Peter, I think that Mohinder suspects that Peter might have some kind of power, though I might be reading a bit too much into that.
Heroes was just incredible from start to finish, and I'm am damn excited about where this series is going. Watch it, people!! :)
  25. MewPrincess took the one that I was going to guess, so I'll say that you're of German/Scottish descent.
