I'm playing [b]Radiant Historia[/b] and am currently stuck on a boss with minions that spam self-destruct attacks, so I've got some level grinding to do ... and, of course, there's no save point in sight, so I have to grind enough to the point where I'm confident I could destroy the boss with the powers of my mind, lest I completely waste my time. Damn it, Atlus.

Yeah, a lot of people believe [b]Steins;Gate[/b] is the best anime going right now. I'm torn between that and season two of [b]Kaiji[/b], but regardless, [b]Steins;Gate[/b] is damn good. [b]Tiger and Bunny[/b] is good, too. I kind of wish it didn't jump around in so many different directions, and the writing isn't quite as strong as I would like (although the latest episode might signal a change in this), but still, a good show, I say. -
I have watched nothing but the most putrid garbage so far during the summer anime season.

I'm a good ways into [b]Red Dead Redemption[/b] now. Was a bit slow in the beginning, but once I got more missions involving gunslinging and whatnot, the pace picked up a lot. Really getting into the story, too, and how gray it is (like most of the great westerns). Only thing that's bugging me is that some of the missions are repetitive. I'm in Blackwater now, and it doesn't feel like I'm doing too much that is different from the other two areas. Oh well. Still a fun game. Really need to hop online and check out how the game is there ...

[b]American Gods[/b] is pretty damn good; read it a few years ago. Hopefully HBO is able to do it justice, but they generally put out solid shows, and if they're putting so many eggs in this basket, then it should be of pretty solid quality.

Played some of [b]Portal 2[/b]'s co-op mode with my brother. There's definitely a bit more thinking to be done with four portals to be taken advantage of rather than two. My brother and I excel at different sorts of puzzles, it seems, which has made going through everything a bit easier and improved our teamwork -- whoever sees through the puzzle first usually ends up taking the lead. Only one puzzle has stumped us so far, and it was because we both overlooked a very simple solution, haha. Also started [b]Red Dead Redemption[/b] today. Haven't done much so far -- chased off some coyotes, rustled up some cattle and shot a gang member in the leg. All in a day's work.

I think I'm near the end of Chapter 8 (there's no way for me to tell lol), and the game has been friggin' incredible. I liked [b]Portal[/b] a lot, but [b]Portal 2[/b] has blown it away. The [spoiler]Old Aperture[/spoiler] section of the game in particular is just soooooo good, with a really great, immersive use of the setting. And [spoiler]Cave Johnson[/spoiler] is just hilarious. I wish there were more of him.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this -- it's a sneaky good Ghibli movie. Not quite as big or epic as some other Ghibli flicks, but it has a great sense of humor (the dub writing is masterful here; very funny). Just a really enjoyable movie all around, and of course quite pretty as you say, it being Ghibli and all.

I don't really hide it (pretty much all of my friends know that I'm a big geek), but I try not to shove it in everyone's faces either. Let's not pretend that this is some heavy-duty life choice or the most important basis of our identities, after all lol. It's a collection of hobbies, some of which are more socially acceptable now, and some of which are not. Whatever. If people share in what I like, then cool; if people don't, then I don't get too steamed about it. I'd rather not make my hobbies into something greater than they are.

I've already put in the amount of time it took me to beat [b]Portal[/b] (more, actually, I think), and I'm maybe a little more than halfway through [b]Portal 2[/b] right now.
