So I've been giving a bit of thought to buying an Xbox 360. Not totally decided yet, but I'm leaning toward buying ... just wanted some thoughts from those who have the console, particularly about what some of the better games for the system are. Some of the games I'm definitely interested in: The [b]Portal[/b] games, [b]Marvel vs. Capcom 3[/b], [b]Red Dead Redemption[/b] (playing through a badass western sounds SO cool to me), [b]Mass Effect 2[/b] (maybe the first, too, but I heard it plays similarly to [b]Knights of the Old Republic[/b], which honestly bored the hell out of me), and the upcoming [b]L.A. Noire[/b] (much like RDR, playing through a badass film noir sounds like the coolest thing ever; I am so down for this). Maybe [b]BioShock[/b], too, but I'm not really big on first-person shooters these days. We'll see. What has been everyone else's experience with the 360? What games would you recommend?

I wasn't a fan of the first episode, but a lot of people had positive things to say about the second episode, so I decided to check it out. It's WAY better than the opener and has me wanting to watch the show now. Especially loved the action, good stuff. EDIT: Also, DAT SAX in the OP

I've been pretty slow lately, so I'm just now getting to the final gym leader lol. Been training my team a bit, and hopefully I'm strong enough to take him down, but we'll see. My team right now is pretty good, although I'll probably shift Reshiram in for one of the others once I catch that. We'll see how it goes. The team right now ... Lv. 43 Samurott (Katsushiro) Lv. 42 Druddigon (Escaflowne) Lv. 40 Litwick (Mr. Orbach) Lv. 40 Sawk (Bruce Lee) Lv. 40 Archeops (Gogo Dodo) Lv. 39 Zebstrika (Wrath) Pretty happy with my team as it is. My favorite might be the Archeops -- strong attack, solid defense, fast as hell, good mix of attacks. Really good Pokemon. EDIT: OK, I kicked Drayden's ass, and I'm now preparing for the Elite Four ... my Pokemon are a bit underleveled, though, so I'll do a bit more grinding beforehand. I'll probably get 'em all to at least Lv. 48. The team! Lv. 48 Samurott Lv. 45 Druddigon Lv. 44 Lampent (I might evolve it soon since I have the Shadow Ball TM and gave it Fire Blast, so it already has a couple of kickass fire attacks) Lv. 44 Archeops Lv. 43 Sawk Lv. 42 Zebstrika

I was totally waiting for someone to make the [spoiler]"Does 'Guile's Theme' go into hyper mode when you're ready to finish?"[/spoiler] joke during the "Guile's Theme" discussion. I should have been there; I totally would have made that joke. Great episode, though -- loved the intro and the other musical moments, and the guests brought some more fun to the occasion. Also, whoever made Boo sound like Peter Lorre when everyone was impersonating him got a big laugh out of me. That was great.
