1.
Originally posted by dark_dragongirl I liked it Shinmaru. It was very funny. You could do with a few more !'s and 1's, like K.K.C. said but I understand that there's not enough room. Your avi is also funny. I never knew that dissing yourself could be fun but, well, everyone has there own ideas of fun. And, lol, I'm hungry, so you think you could make me a sammich too?
Thanks for the critique ^_^ I agree that it could do with a few more !s and 1s but I simply write too big for it to ever come into fruition lol. Two of each seems to be my maximum :cross: And dissing yourself can be very funny. Look at Conan O'Brien; he's made an entire career out of it :p And I could make you a sammich, if Syk3 lets me slip you one on the side >_>
 2. *dies laughing about a million times* LOL Gavynn, that was nothing less than pure brilliance. I was laughing throughout the entire thing, so I can let it slide how goofy you made me look ~_^ Seriously, though, this was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time, and your best work, in my opinion. The whole thing was simply hilarious (I loved the cameo from the Snowman lol). Everything was just a fantastic parody of all things Christmas, and I loved the whole damn thing. You rule, Gavynn. You rule.
 3. Nope, I'm not deleting your reply...because it made me laugh like a little girl. lol And, nope, I'm not left-handed. My handwriting is just that ugly! lol And, honestly, I have no idea. I've often wondered how many S's or P's one is supposed to put when they do that. I think that's why I don't write letters. So, whee. Your flaming red smiles of doom tell me that you like the banner. Yeah. >_> And if you were banned, mal, I would be sad. Very sad, indeed. I've made a couple additions to the banner, per request. I moved the start of the elipses over to the far left and added one more exclamation point and one more 1. So, yeah, here it is.
 4. Bwa ha ha ha ha ha! More replies!
Originally posted by Syk3 xD omg, lik..ur banner..OMG ITS SO N00B!!1!#$@%%^& u just teh suk..stop makin banners. dud. im serious. NO. stop. just stop. leav it 2 teh pros/. :flaming: :excited: :smooch: :butthead:  Yes, our humour goes together like..em..James and moderating. =p Great banner you made yourself there, Shin. Very original and does a great job of exposing others to the aforementioned humour that those of us that chat with you on AIM get a taste of every day. The text, in my opinion, is a lot better when drawn out, and I especially like how you instinctively drew in a one. :) I liked the original..and I like the changes. Good stuff. Now get back to work and make me a sammich, biatch! :drunk:
You should've left just the first paragraph ~_^ In any case, thanks for the compliments, Master Syk3. I'm glad you liked the changes :) You and Sennen were the ones I was worried most about liking this because, of course, the banner relates to you (uh...only sort of now lol) and Sennen made the banner. But it seems that you both like it, which is nice.
Originally posted by K.K.C. Wow... that sure beats the crap out of Syk's banner! *laughs at Syk and his banner* I think it is awesome! But... you should have added more !'s and also more 1's. That would have made it much better... just one ! and one 1 doesn't cut it. I expect better from you in the future... (But it's still better than Syk's) ~Da Love Child who is worth a dollar~
Haha, that signature you put at the bottom of your post is priceless :p I tried to add more !'s and 1's to the banner before but my handwriting (or mousewriting, I suppose) was too big lol. Curse the curse of large handwriting! Curse it! *shakes fist*
Originally posted by Arcadia Of course the banner rocks, Shin made it. Well.. added on to it. Er. Yeah. Anyway, it's very funny, and like Syk3 said, the one at the end of it is fantastic. Genius! You have terrible handwriting, by the way. ^_~
Genius, eh? You have confirmed what I've known for years...I enjoy it when people call me a genius. And, yes, I have terrible handwriting lol. I'm just glad that this is worse than my real handwriting @_@
Originally posted by Kaisuke Im inclined to go with CR on this one >>; I mean as far as ... joke banners shall we say, as far as joke banners go, its pretty good. But on the scale I would rate any other banner, I dont like it. The "hand writing" is a nice touch though. Plus syk is everyones biatch =o Jokiness - 9/10 Normalness - 4/10
Whoo! Good enough to warrant a 4/10 from Kenji! I'm surprised it earned even that much lol. I've seen you be pretty brutal when it comes to rating banners, heh. I'm glad you rated it high on the jokiness scale, though...I didn't even know a jokiness scale existed. And I didn't know Syk3 was everyone's biatch *looks over in Syk3's direction* What have you been hiding?
Originally posted by Baron Samedi Just generally- it looks terrible. As a Shiny Shite-y Shin thing though- it rocks. lol ^____^. I must say- your handwriting is... ony slightly worse than mine. lol. As an artist[strike]e[/strike], it is lacking. As a person who has the pleasure of being slightly acquainted with you- it is a picasso. marvellous.
Shiny Shite-y Shin...that's me. Heh. I'm glad to hear that my handwriting continues to be terrible...I shall corrupt a new line of awful handwriters for the next generation...or something. And interesting that you choose to compare this to Picasso lol. I'll take it, though :) Thanks for all the replies, everyone. I didn't know I was so loved
 5.
Originally posted by AzureWolf Perfectly understable, Shinmaru, but why didn't you just type the text instead of manually/handwriting it?
Well, Sir Azure, if I typed out the text it would take away from the goofy nature of the avatar/banner. Typed out text, in my opinion, would give this combo too much of a technological feel...I wanted this to look more like a small child did it, if that's understandable. The text is just barely legible enough to read, yet it's ugly as sin. I've done my work :p
Originally posted by CompletelyRando Oh my god. You have absolutely ruined it. Seriously, I don't want to be mean but crap, look at that. It was so muchc cooler before. (Rememebr you said we could insult it). Even the thought of having a banner like that would make me cry. Don't know how you can stand it. --EDIT-- In retrospect I see I sound somewhat like a pompous ***. I'll kepp the post as it is anyway.
Eh, that's one person's opinion lol. I won't take away your right to say my work is a piece of crap but, like I said earlier, this was not meant to be a technological masterpiece. This was meant to be a goofy banner/avatar set made for a goofy guy to use. And I want to go on the record and say that this banner doesn't make me want to cry - it makes me want to call myself a lame *** :whoops: Oh, and I wasn't offended at all, so no hard feelings, heh. Takes a lot more than that to offend me. And, yes, my sense of humor really is this odd.
Originally posted by Dagger IX1 Somewhat.....? I must say, CR, that was unnecessarily vitriolic. At first, I was under the impression that you were speaking in jest, but your edit made me think otherwise. Insults are all and well, but you didn't say why you preferred the original version of "Syk3's Biatch," which ended up making your post sound almost like a personal attack. Which of course it wasn't, since I know you're a cool guy and all. Certain types of insults can be entertaining and educational. Yours weren't either. Anyway, Shin--I love it, as you already know. I think that the fact that the text is handwritten makes it funnier. It's legible, but just barely, and that adds to the "goofy, lighthearted, weird"-ness of the banner/avatar combo. ~Dagger~
Eeeeee! My first fan! ^_____^; I'm glad you understood what I was trying to accomplish here, heh. Goofy, lighthearted and weird - that's what this stuff is here to be. Also good to hear that you love it ^_^ And thanks for defending me, heh - very appreciated. And you even used a cool word! Vitriolic just sounds really cool...I must use it in a sentence one of these days :D Anyway, thanks for taking the time to look over mine strange banner/avatar, everyone. Your comments and critiques, whether good or bad, are definitely appreciated.
 6. Uh...not quite. Due to the weird nature of my sense of humor, I got an idea for a goofy banner/avatar combination recently. Please bear in mind a couple things: 1) These are not meant to be technical masterpieces. I wrote this using MS Paint and it took me about a minute or so. 2) No, I'm not insulting myself, so don't give me any crap about that. These are just meant to be goofy, lighthearted weird things much like the man whom made them and is currently using then. With that in mind, feel free to rate, insult, praise or whatever. Meanwhile, I'll be stylin' and profilin' with my new banner and avatar. Oh, and credit goes to OtakuSennen for helping me resize my avatar and for providing the orginal banner (without the horrendous marking on it). Sennen is cool.
 7.
Originally posted by Teammayhem M. Bison... That bastard... Don't remind me...
I'll have to ask you to elaborate a bit. Why was M. Bison so frustrating for you? Not to be so picky, but it helps to elaborate so that people can understand your post. Not everyone is going to have played Street Fighter and understand why M. Bison is frustrating. Thanks.
 8.
Originally posted by maladjusted Recently, I just think Windwaker is being underestimated. I played a bit of it and enjoyed it, but everyone I talk to insist that it's not a good game. Hm. *looks around* Maybe it's because some fans are still angry about the art style change, heh.
I thought the Wind Waker graphics were fantastic, quite honestly. The best on the GameCube in my opinion. Some of the dungeons are just incredible looking and have to be seen to be believed. The bosses are amazing looking, as well. I don't mind that Wind Waker was cel-shaded, anyway. The look fits the series.
 9. I still think that banner is cool. Bright and cool. My only problem with it is that the font makes the word 'sweet' seem a little bunched up. It's a bit distracting, since I was looking at the banner under an intense microscope. :p And thanks for the help with my new avatar (which I will be posting up later on today, hopefully) Sennen is very cool. Now go ahead and post up whatever you're working on at the moment. ~_^
 10. Finally, Shinmaru has come back to the Double Dash thread! Sorry, I couldn't resist :p Anyway, I finally got Double Dash yesterday (after weeks of immense anticipaton) and it is just as awesome, if not moreso, than everyone in here thinks it is. First of all, the controls are great. I've had next to no problems at all with the controls (the only problem was with my index finger, which was sore after a while, heh). Everything controls flawlessly and smoothly and I find myself not even missing the hop that was taken away from the game. Powersliding in this game is just as easy as it was in Mario Kart 64. The tracks are extremely fun to race through. Even the simple tracks in the game are fun and hectic due to the CPU racers, since they fight tooth and nail to keep up, instead of blatantly cheating like in MK64. I love the inventive nature of the tracks and all the different details that have gone into them - I'm sure I haven't sampled anywhere near what these tracks have to offer. Multiplayer is insanely fun, as well. My brother and I were fighting each other for bragging rights (I am the Double Dash champion of the house :p), which always leads to a great time. The battle fun is great fun, as well, especially Bob-Omb Blast. I felt like I was in D-Day while playing Bob-Omb Blast and it was fantastically amusing (Cookie Land rules for Bob-Omb Blast battles). I found Shine Steal to be insanely fun, as well. Several times, my brother and I stole the shine from each other, as the timer wound down to about three or four seconds left. Crazy stuff. The regular battle mode from Mario Kart 64 (with the balloons) is fun, too, but I had more fun with Bob-Omb Blast and Shine Steal. I've only sampled a tiny bit of what the game has to offer, as I've only gone through 50cc so far. Today, I'm going to go for 100cc and 150cc (if I have time, which I probably will lol). I shall post (or edit if nobody replies to this :() with my thoughts tomorrow. Awesome, awesome game. Definitely one of the best for the GameCube.
 11. If you really want it, I would definitely buy it. The game is very well made, and you're not likely to see a deal like this anytime soon (I'm not sure how much 80 pounds is, but I'm pretty sure it's still a very good deal). My advice is if you really love the Legend of Zelda series, and you don't have one or more of the games on that disc (not to mention a GameCube), then you should hurry over to the store as fast as you can and buy the set. Even if they run out of copies of the disc, you don't have to buy the GCN, so I don't see the harm in at least going to the store and seeing if they have it in stock lol. But if you are able to pick up the game, know that you will be getting one of the best compiliations in gaming history. At least, in my opinion.
 12. Well, it's not really a matter of what school everyone else wants you to go to, but what school you would like to go to. I'd suggest doing a bit of research on the schools that interest you and see which one fits you best. There are a lot of factors that go into choosing a college: Location (close or far), cost (shouldn't be too bad if you can get a football scholarship), ambience (the setting of the college), etc. Good luck on wherever you choose to go, heh.
 13.
Originally posted by Charles 1) Push Triple H 2) Push RVD you Goddamn morons 3) I just wet myself 4) OtakuBoards 5) (written on back) I bet you can't see past my sign.
Heh, hope you have a good time at the Royal Rumble, Charles. At the very least, the actual Royal Rumble match should be good. As for what sign you should bring...touch choice between #2 and #4 (don't bring #1...the WWE might take you seriously lol). Yeah, the issue with younger stars being put over is a big problem, especially after The Rock left and Kurt Angle has been injured. Angle and Rock have been more than willing to put people over and make them look incredible, but both of them have been seen sparingly in the past few months. Shawn Michaels is the only superstar I see really putting people over and even he gets a few wins he doesn't need (like his win over Randy Orton a few weeks ago on RAW). If the vets aren't making the younger guys look good, then who is? Nobody, that's who.
 14.
Originally posted by UnsungHero As for Booker T I HATE HIM. Stupid freak! HBK SUCKS!!!!
Hating on two of my favorite wrestlers, eh? Not cool :p But, yeah, I think Booker T. has been lagging it a bit since he returned from back surgery. Give him another week or two to fully get back in the swing of things and Booker will be himself again (and I hope he uses the Scissor Kick less often - a bit unrealistic, heh). And, in my opinion, HBK has been carrying RAW for a couple months. Since Y2J hasn't been getting the air time he really deserves, it's been up to Shawn Michaels to really do the dirty work and make the other wrestlers look like gold in the process. Shawn has had some great matches over the past few months and even you must agree that his performances at Survivor Series and Armageddon were phenomenal - more proof that Shawn Michaels is the greatest wrestler in the history of the WWE.
 15. Eh, I never really heard many good things about the Sega Smash Pack. Most of the stuff I've read about Sega Smash Pack said that the games were poorly emulated, especially Sonic (lots of slowdown), Golden Axe and Altered Beast. There are some good games on the disc, but if not ported properly, they don't amount to much.
 16. Two other games that I'd like to see make the trip to the small screen. 1) Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. ED has a fantastic story built on suspense and psychological intrigue. Plus, I think that the Sanity effects could be built on and used very well in an anime. Furthermore, the game is full of action and all that other good stuff that people enjoy seeing in anime. Also, Silicon Knights said that they have enough material for several ED sequels, so the anime wouldn't have to follow the beaten path of the game. 2) Skies of Arcadia. I'm telling you, this would be an awesome anime. Pirates, airships, great characters and an amazing story all equal a great anime. The game has a very lighthearted feel, while also being able to retain a sense of seriousness when Vyse and his cohorts are faced with the destruction of the world. Good stuff. And there wouldn't be an overabundence of random battles in the anime. lol
 17. I'm seriously considering begging you to let me use that as a banner lol. However, my biatch banner shall remained an untouched tradition. But I digress. Nice banner you've got here. Looks almost exactly like the logo that Nintendo uses (except for a couple minor details). Very unique, too, heh. I like it. Now people won't be able to accuse Nintendo of making kiddy games. Feel the Innuendo :p
 18. Arr, I can't believe I passed over this thread. x_x Anyway, both the banner and avatar are very eye-catching, the banner in particular. I like how the banner blends in with the white background - a nice touch, in my opinion. The banner gives off a very nice vibe, too; it just screams "Have a nice Christmas!" The avatar is very pleasant, as well. I love the snowman you used - very cool stuff (uh...pun not intended lol). And the fact that the snowman is on its side adds something a bit unique to the avatar. Cool stuff. Again, very nice work, Mei. You always make great banner/avatar combos, heh.
 19.
Originally posted by maladjusted Didn't that RPG...crash and burn? *gets beat up* ^_^ Nice comic, it's pretty amusing. Hope you post up more, soon!
I'm still incredibly sad that the RPG died so quickly, because I was having tons of fun posting in it. Maybe I should think up a weird RPG of my own over Winter Break... And, yes, the people of OtakuBoards demand more, Laura. More sammiches, more Syk3 fawning over Mei and more stealing of souls by Ken. Yay.
 20. Haha, this is indeed the greatest banner ever. lol Great stuff, man. The theme of the banner is really funny and the red 'Banned' stamp adds a nice effect to get. Bloodsin is now null and void :p Did you ever get that cigarette?
 21. Teh bannerness are teh cool, Gavynn ;-) I like the banner. Nice and simple. The style really works well here. The happy face reminds me of Pac-Man and that's always a plus, heh. And a hammy sammich is a good sammich, indeed. Good work, Gavynn.
 22.
Originally posted by zdude255 What was the name of the princess in Super Mario Land?
Sorry, zdude, but you just can't jump in and ask a question. The rules of the thread state that you must have answered a question before you can ask one. Wait for Takuya to say whether or not Crusader got the question right. Thanks.
 23. Personally (and I'm not sure whether or not this has happened, as I do not follow anime news at all) I'd love to see a Castlevania anime, specifically Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Symphony of the Night has several awesome characters, an easy premise to build a story on and lots of action. That practically spells great anime. Plus, I'd love to see people experiment with the dark ambience of the game, especially relating to the architecture (Symphony of the Night's castle ruled) and music (SotN had some damn amazing music). Plus, since Art History class has turned me into a total Art nut, I'd enjoy seeing all of the details and little touches that would go into the architecture. A Symphony of the Night anime would be truly amazing if all of the elements could be pulled off well. Trust me on this one.
 24. I don't go to movies nearly as often as I did a few years ago, so it really takes something special for me to actually go (unless I get dragged by my family to see stuff like Brother Bear or Haunted Mansion). The only movie I shall be seeing over Winter Break is Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, for obvious reasons. And if said reasons are not obvious, you either have been living under a rock, are a fool or perhaps both. My friend Jonathan recently informed me that, despite the movie's length, it is fantastic and even better than Fellowship of the Ring and Two Towers, which more than makes me want to go see it. All other movies can go piss off because Lord of the Rings is the only movie getting my hard-earned money :p
 25. *slowly regains his composure after reading that comic* :D I thought it was hilarious. Obviously, not very many people are gonna get all the inside jokes in there (unless they stalk me, Syk3, Sennen or Ken all the time) but it's a nice treat for me to read through it and laugh. As for the actual drawing, I like it. The style is obviously meant to be more humorous. Sure, the proportions are off, but I think that gives the comic more of a humorous angle. Would the comic really be as funny with perfectly drawn characters? I think not. I also love the way Sennen is putting his finger up in the air when he says "I would like turkey and cheese on it, please." That made me laugh a ton for some odd reason lol. And if Ken ever got his hands on a soul-sucking machine, the world would be doomed. No doubt about it.
