Mick Foley was thrown off the top of a steel cage (among other things - this match has been permanently burned into my brain) in the infamous Hell in a Cell match against The Undertaker in King of the Ring '98. Q: How many times was Chris Jericho the WCW Cruiserweight Champion?
-
Yep, there were four levels in the original Donkey Kong. Ask a question to your heart's content.

Heh, that Kanyon stuff was a nice trip down memory lane for me. Kanyon's always been one of my favorite wrestlers. D'Lo Brown defeated Triple H to get the European Championship for the first time in his career (gah, I worded that weird). Now, for an easy question. Q: Who was the last person to hold the European Title (non-unified) and who defeated that person to unify the European Title with the Intercontinental Title?
-
I'll just ask a question. Q: How many levels were in the original Donkey Kong for arcades/NES?
-
Yep, you're right. Ask away.
-
The person who appeared in the most Wrestlemanias was Bret "The Hitman" Hart with 12 appearances. Q: Name three personas that Chris Kanyon was known by during his tenure with WCW.

Nope, not a cement mixer. I'll give you a hint: this job starts with a C and is a labor-type job.

I never really thought that Trigun hit it's stride until the final few episodes. I thought the parts in the first few episodes were humorous, but the story wasn't really going anywhere. It felt much too random (and not random in a good way like Cowboy Bebop). The final few episodes are what sold Trigun in my opinion. They're full of action and drama and can really hook you into the show. It's too bad that the whole series isn't like this, however. The show really does have tons of potential; it's just that most of it wasn't used, unfortunately. I think it's a good anime but not great.

Well, it seems like my Raiders are totally screwed this season. They absolutely blew in the preseason and they couldn't beat the Titans, who they've been able to beat as recently as last season. Sucks to be a Raider fan right now...even worse to be a sane one because I actually realize what this season is gonna be like (we're a dying breed, I know). At least I have USC to turn to even though they almost choked against BYU (and damn Florida actually choking against Miami...USC could've gotten some serious mileage in the rankings had Florida won...).
Originally posted by Drix D'Zanth Hail to the king man. Ever seen him in concert? He's so dramatic it's amazing. He creates such a presence on stage. Not like a Buddy Guy presence, but more of a laid back groove-feeling. He's such a funny guy too, plenty of humor in his music. I love the depth of his guitar playing, he just creates such a rich feeling, every note is significant with the King.
I've never been fortunate enough to catch B.B. King in concert. I've always wanted to, though. I usually enjoy live music much more than stuff off albums, so I would really love listening to B.B. King live.

There are a few older bands/musicians I like: Pink Floyd - Like QA, I don't own any of their albums, but I'm a huge fan of their music. Very cool stuff. Frank Zappa - What can I say, Frank Zappa is awesome. The music is really good and he was a great writer. Too bad his kid had to go through life with the name Moon Unit. David Bowie - With Semjaza talking about him all the time, I have to say I was more than a bit curious. His music absolutely blew me away. Amazing stuff...even better that he collaborated with Trent Reznor once, heh. I'm also a huge fan of B.B. King. Great, great guitarist. Could listen to his work all day long...

Well, Sandman has had a few theme songs, but I'm pretty sure that the one that everyone is familiar with is Enter Sandman by Metallica. Q: What type of gimmick match was the famous Bret Hart/Stone Cold Steve Austin match at WrestleMania XIII? Who was the special enforcer/guest referee for that match?
Originally posted by Transtic Nerve You're the nice guys, thats why you're all their friends ....if you were one of those stupide jerk offs, then all the gurls would be all over you.... I have alot of guy friends, straight guy friends... so there's not much work there. I never associated myself with alot of girls and I don't associate myself with alot of gay guys either.... I'm the straightest gay guy you'll ever know.
This post was just begging to be quoted. Anyway, I'm kinda like that but not to the extreme. I try to help out people when I need it but people don't really come to me because I'm a pretty quiet person. Oh well.

I had those kinds of teachers in 1st and 3rd grade, but strangely, after I wasn't their student, they suddenly became the nicest people in the world o_O Other than that, I haven't had any real problems with my teachers. Mostly, my teachers aren't grouchy, which is good. A grouchy teacher can be a real a-hole if you let them get to you.

I have to say that I'm pretty interested in this movie. And that's quite a feat considering two things: 1) I hate commercials and 2) They've been showing commericals for this movie non-stop where I live. So, a movie that has endless commercials has to look pretty special to make me want to see it. Although, Kate Beckinsale helps out a bit :D

With Manic's blessing, I bring forth to you, the Pro Wrestling Quiz! I know that there are a lot of wrestling fans on OB so, hopefully, we can make this quiz great. The rules are the same as they would be for any other quiz; you answer a question, then you ask one. However, I ask that you only post an answer if you're absolutely sure that that's the correct answer. If you're not sure, then I would advise PMing the person who asked the question to make sure your answer is the correct answer. Hopefully, this way, we'll avoid confusion. Questions can also be asked about pretty much any Pro Wrestling organization; NWA, AWA, WCW, ECW, WWF/E, etc. Amateur wrestling will be left out of the quiz, however. Okay, I'll start us off with an easy one. Q: What is the name of the wrestling organization where current (and one former) WWE wrestlers Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Shannon Moore, and Shane "Hurricane" Helms got their start?

It's funny because you know everyone expects me to speak with a full Spanish accent and when I come out with this deep voiced American accent, they're disappointed lol. One of my teachers (actually, he was a student teacher) asked me about my heritage and I told him my mom had a mixed European background and he pretty much said that's where my accent came from. He said he'd never heard an accent like mine before, which was kinda weird.

Art Kenshin vs. Shishio animation banner (semi-large file)
Shinmaru replied to Syk3's topic in Creative Works
I have to say, Syk3, that banner looks totally badass. The transition from one scene to the next is practically flawless and Kenshin and Shishio inching their swords out of their holsters at the end - awesome. The only problem I have with it is that I thought that it looked a bit fuzzy. Everything else is great, though. Too bad you can't upload it here, huh? -
I was bored, there's not much action in the Nintendo forum, and my Most Underrated Game thread was pretty successful, so I figured what the hell and decided to make this thread. Almost as much as I enjoy reminiscing on games that didn't recieve their fair and just appreciation by the public (thus, the Most Underrated Game thread), I enjoy bashing games that I feel are vastly overrated. Whether I think they're slightly overrated (Star Fox - I've recieved a lot of flak for that), pretty overrated (Tekken - you all know it's true) or very overrated (Donkey Kong Country is and always will be one word - bleh), I enjoy dishing out my opinion on such matters. So, without further crap from me, I'll start things up. For every great game that is released (and I play) there are at least ten other pieces of garbage that also get released (that I also unfortunately end up playing sometimes). And there are those games that, for whatever reason, seem to get a lot of attention and great reviews. Why is this? I don't know. However, there's one game that stands out for me. And that game is Final Fantasy VIII. Nearly every gaming website and gaming magazine I've seen gave this game amazing reviews. Why, I have no idea. I came into the game with decent expectations. I expected a good RPG with a competent story and good gameplay...I got none of that. What I got was an RPG with uneven difficulty, a story described in one word (bleh), boring characters, overly powerful attacks, and tons more problems. Now, I know what some people are thinking: "Shin, you've attacked FFVIII before. Can't you just leave well enough alone?" No. Because I don't like this game and I felt it was vastly overrated. What's worse, is that I feel this was the start of the decline for Final Fantasy. IX wasn't much better than VIII and, despite a great battle system, X didn't improve that much either. So, you can see why I'm not too fond of Final Fantasy VIII. Well, that's enough of me ranting. Just had to get it out of my system.

Heh, the Shirt Guy Dom Days are probably my favorite part of MegaTokyo. They're just so bizarre and surreal, you can't help but love the damn things. I like MegaTokyo overall, but Shirt Guy Dom is definitely my favorite overall. Dom is just plain odd.

Another great N64 game is Pokemon Puzzle League. I actually can't stand the Pokemon-ness of the game and it almost drove me away...but I loved Tetris Attack so much that I had to keep playing (though, I still prefer Tetris Attack because Tetris Attack had slowdown lol). I love Tetris Attack so much more than Tetris, it's not even funny. Flipping panels and making crazy combos is really addicting. I'm not really known as a puzzle game fanatic but I really love this game dearly.

I am very much a morning person. I usually wake up around 5:00 or 5:30 AM...it's just habit now. No matter what time I go to sleep, that's when I wake up. I'm one of the lucky ones, I suppose; it takes me about 5-10 seconds to get fully awake. I am much worse at night. I'm not grouchy, but I do not function at night. At night I'm usually skulking around the hallways like I'm drunk lol. I have no energy at nighttime.

If there was an F-Zero anime, I'd certainly check it out. I've read some of the backstory on the characters (even though I haven't been able to buy the game yet...sucks to be cheap) and it is surprisingly detailed. There's some good stuff hidden under the racing. It's quite fun to read through. So, yeah, if the backstory is explored to its fullest potential, then an F-Zero anime could end up being really good. But I'll hold off opinion until I actually see something.

I don't have an anime obsession like that, but my situation was similar to that of AzureWolf. My procrastination came mostly in Middle School (in 7th and 8th grade, to be exact). I got a 2.5 and 2.83 GPA in those years respectively, and those were pretty much my worst years grade wise. Mostly because I went a little too heavy on the video games, heh. I still play video games fairly often, but mostly on the weekends when I have some damned time to actually play them. On weekdays I have too much homework to play them. That and I have to check OtakuBoards everyday. I need some OtakuBoard moderation lol... I've done really well for myself in High School (3.5 Freshman year, 3.67 Sophmore year, and 4.33 Junior year) because I've taken my studies a bit more seriously. Of course, that doesn't mean I don't have time for some gaming...*goes to play Super Smash Bros.*
