Which restores energy more water or fruit
AzureWolf replied to Meteora's topic in General Discussion
Doesn't all fruit have water in it? And yeah, water doesn't supply any energy, but it is necessary for almost every function in the body. -
HeavyBlade, it sounds like you are actually complaining about this relationship. I don't see anything wrong with Sora killing BT all the time, and I say this with no affiliation to any B.T.-hating club. :shifty: I think the reason Sora kills BT is to reassert his control/authority over her. BT is a very powerful source of information, and Sora does not want her to think (or know?) that her knowledge gives her an advantage over him. By killing BT, he's showing that, regardless of what she knows, Sora still holds all the cards between them.
Am I the only one who thought that the conversation between Silver Knight and Mimiru was funny. Especially Silver Knight's impression of Sora. "Boing" He sounded exactly like him.
Am I the only who noticed that this thread's title is an oxymoron? Haha, I'm just foolin'. :D Anyway, I thought Mimiru was perky, and the scene certainly made you smile, but I wouldn't say it was right-out funny. I'm not too fond of Silver Knight, and I would even dare say I hate him. He did lighten when Mimiru was talking to him, but that's not enough for me to change my view. He's just not amiable, you know? I think the .hack dictionary has a picture of Silver Knight - under the word "LOSER" (written just like that, with the caps and bold). Actions speak louder than words, and SK certainly does not have that going for him:
not telling Subaru that Mimiru, Tsukasa, and Bear wanted to see her; capturing Tsukasa when Subaru did not order it; and let's not forget him disobeying Subaru's order and causing havoc, which ultimately lead to the dissolution of the Crimson Knights
. After doing things like that, it's hard for SK to make me smile.

Sorry for continuously bringing back old threads, but I really like some of these topics.
Sora is aroogant not to take the guardian. He can't be all that good because he ran from it. Well I mean in that Sora way.
Yeah, Sora is arrogant, but I don't think that's the reason he rejected the guardian. IMO, Sora is strong, and that's why he refused. I believe it was Mimiru who said that using the guardian to fight was a sign of weakness. I think that scene, where Sora is offered the guardian, was made just to reinforce that idea: the guardian is a sign of weakness. In episode 24,
Tsukasa loses his guardian
, which gives an absolute resolution to Tsukasa's mental/spiritual augmentation. Tsukasa is strong. He's been strong for a while, but this loss is the final justification of that.
-
It's not that Tsukasa doesn't like fighting... it's that he can't fight on his own. If he didn't like fighting he wouldn't have attacked those Long Arms in episode 4.
K.K.C. is right, IMO. I would consider summoning a spell, and, as you saw in quite a few episodes, Tsukasa is perfectly capable of summoning
his guardian
. Sure, it usually comes out on its own, but Tsukasa has the capacity to call it when he needs to. In most video games, summons go hand-in-hand with magic, so I don't think Tsukasa has his abilities locked. There's rarely ever a need for Tsukasa to use his powers, except in the Party and Catastrophe episodes. For the latter,
I really couldn't tell if Tsukasa was using items or magic
. As for the former (episode 11), Tsukasa just didn't get a chance to, although it was a powerful scene with
Mimiru challenging Tsukasa's ideology
.
(0).o wow this thread went to how I was wrong to how Tsukasa healed people.......wtf heh
I thought I would bring things back on topic just a bit...
you all should remember me as the foool that defended poor weak Tsukasa in the Tsukasa vs Crim thread. and I fought Strongy only to Heard that the only spells Tsukasa knows is Healing spells.................*shoots a picture of Tsukasa* why did I think that Tsukasa could win.........*starts to pick up Drinking as a habit* damn Tsukasa and *hic* Crim *finishes a bottle of rum*
Well, this incident should really teach you to know your sources. You should make sure that, for next time, your sources are accurate. I really have to laugh at this lvl 99 rumor since, through 25 out of the 26 episodes, there has be no indication WHATSOEVER to support that Tsukasa is maxed-out/god-like. Unless episode 26 does something drastic to completely transform Tsukasa's behavior, this rumor will be quashed on Saturday. Unfortunately (for this rumor), altering Tsukasa's character is highly unlikey, since he has already gone through his revision. Therefore, episode 26 will probably focus on evaluting/testing his new-found temperament, and/or building on it. There's certainly no room left to give Tsukasa another radical change. Hey, I might be wrong: it wouldn't be the first time .hack//SIGN has surprised me. :)

Wow, very nice. The only thing I would recommend is making the edges of all the pictures smoother so all that white stuff doesn't show. Or, you could manually (and painfully) remove them with an eraser. :) Haha, took me a while to realize why SMB3's and SM Advance 4's logos are both there...
its exactily hhow its pronounced not but the website only has it in english...
That is because Obsession is sung completely in english. I made the same mistake a while back, and Braidless Baka was kind enough to correct me. The thread should be around here somewhere... EDIT: Here it is: http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22294
and anthor thing im having trouble with is getting all my awesome armor and weapons unto my other guys, when I use the "change equipment" none of my items show up for me to equip them with
See, this equipment stuff is where you have to think in terms of an online game. A person can't equip/take something of yours without you voluntarily giving it away. So, you have to PERMANENTLY give your friends/party arms and armaments if you want them to equip it. Well... you could trade for it, but that's just rude. ;)

Maladjusted and Double Barrel Daigo, please don't fight! I don't want this thread closed until I've made a few rebuttals! Anyway, I guess zipping the file wasn't enough to get people to read it, so I'm just going to cut and paste my two cents about whether Science supports God more, or a lack of Him. Again, these were notes for a presentation, so some parts are undeveloped. Still, IMO, it's a good stand-alone, objective product. :D Defining each side of the argument is crucial before actually getting to it, as can be seen from the "goth" argument some people have started.
Thesis: Science originally questioned the existence of God. However, as more and more ?science? is uncovered, God seems to be an indisputable factor to the universe. - Defining Theism ? The Facts ? Theism: cut and clean, the belief of a supernatural being generally referred to as God, responsible for existence and the universe. ? The clock-maker theory (Deism) is acceptable in this presentation. However, this will not always be the case ? some points may need the interception of God. ? Theistic thinking is associated with faith and obedience ? God is seen as an infinite being. ? God is accountable for everything: what we can see, and what we cannot ? Three general theistic views: ? Panentheism: God is in this universe ? Ex-Pantheism: God is beyond this existence/plane ? Pantheism: God is the universe ? There are extreme theists (stubborn), passive theists, and argumentative theists (anti-atheist). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Defining Atheism ? The Facts ? Atheism: the denial of God. ? There are several ways of classifying atheistic beliefs, but one point that all atheists can be associated with the disbelief of a god. The defining ways are as follows: ? "An atheist is someone who believes and/or knows there is no god." ? "An atheist lacks belief in a god." ? "An atheist exercises no faith in the concept of god at all." ? "An atheist is someone who is free from religious oppression and bigotry." ? "An atheist is someone who is a free-thinker, free from religion and its ideas." ? Atheists believe that religious thinking hinders freedom of thought ? Atheistic thinking is associated with science and thinking ? Like theists, there are extreme atheists (stubborn), passive atheists, and argumentative atheists (anti-theist). ? Some general beliefs are as follows: ? There is no God or devil ? There is no spiritual realm, no afterlife ? Miracles cannot occur ? There is no such thing as sin ? The universe is materialistic and measurable ? Man is material ? Evolution is a scientific fact. ? Ethics and morals are relative ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Defining Science ? The Facts (Hendrik Lorentz, James C. Maxwell, and Einstein) ? The Science that most closely relates itself to the existence of God is Theoretical Physics (Metaphysics?), which is responsible for bringing cosmology where it is today. ? Theoretical Physics: physics of the universe that need not be proven correct, but are fundamental for other notions or ideas. ? Theoretical Physics have no way of being proven right or wrong, and therefore are completely speculative. However, these theories are based on facts, and are supportive of real-world phenomena (time dilation, length contraction). ? The Universe: Infinite or Finite? ? Thanks to German astronomer Heinrich Olbers, we know the universe to be finite. He discovered so by a relatively simple method of mathematics and logic. Should the universe be infinite, all of space should be covered with light. (As distance increases, the volume of vision increases.) ? A finite universe meant that the universe must be compelled to fall onto itself, as the law of gravity states. Even Einstein?s theory of relativity and other equations compelled the universe to either expand or contract. By using the Redshift phenomenon, and using standards (Cepheids), Edwin Hubble discovered that the universe is expanding. ? The discovery of an expanding universe still left many questions unanswered. Closed (fall back)? Flat (zero)? Open (escape)? ? The Universe: Other Information ? Very recently, the universe has been discovered not only to be expanding, but also to be doing so at an accelerated rate. ? Densities of the universe appear to be distributed unevenly. Gravity is responsible for this phenomenon. ? Second Law of Thermodynamics is Entropy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Theism and Science ? A Comparison ? The Cosmological argument: there is a finite number of causes, and therefore there must be one ?cause? that was not caused by anything else ? Second Law of Thermodynamics: Entropy. All reactions create heat, and therefore create entropy. ? Inborn behavior and comprehension ? The universe collapsing in on itself: the apocalypse? ? No center of universe ? The acceleration of the universe - Atheism and Science ? A Comparison ? The universe is finite. Therefore, God?s infinite existence cannot be considered. ? Densities are distributed unevenly due to gravity ? Science and Atheism both see theism as a ?pseudo-science? ? Darwinism is a theory that, by default, supports atheism ? States that evolution created man, not God ? Expanding universe makes it so that no Godly intervention is needed ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Theism and Atheism ? The Debate ? The pointless points: ? Show there is/isn?t a God ? The bad theist/atheist ? The scientific arguments: ? The Cosmological argument is one that could be perfectly rebutted by the lack of any external force within the universe. However, now that acceleration is present, the atheist argument only holds a relatively unsupported belief that another universe is colliding with ours. ? Entropy clearly rebuts the idea that the universe in infinitely old. The idea that the universe needed a creator cannot be argued. ? Darwinism creates a large debate that ends in favor of an atheistic situation. While it is true that inborn behavior may be adapted from ancestors of evolved species, life still favors an atheistic origin. ? Although the world may be finite, it does not allow us to assume that the age of particles is finite. ? In order for acceleration to be possible, there must be some kind of force behind it. This means that a force besides the universe is responsible for the movement of the universe. ? Ontological argument: Just to be able to think of God proves his existence. Also, there is nothing we can think of that is greater than God. ? The old-age beliefs may just be some kind of myths. Technology and science have time and time again rebutted what was believed to be only explanatory by God (Only God knows). - Theism, Atheism, and Science ? A Conclusion Even though I have tried to make a balanced argument, keep in mind that the scientific presentation may have been prejudice towards theism, and the entire scientific picture I sought to create may have been hindered by my inclination to one side. However, as far as the information I have presented goes, I believe that theism is the undisputed champion of belief. There is something about the universe that we can see, and the one that we can?t see, that still beg the questions: Could the universe create itself as well as life?
Yes, it really is a sad thing when pets die. Interestingly enough, I recently lost one of my parakeets. Haha, I didn't like her much, but one of my other parakeets did. :D I don't know if it was shock or depression, but seeing such an active and vibrant being now just lying there: it tears at you somehow. It wasn't sadness exactly (esp. since I didn't even cry), but it is an eerie feeling that overcomes you.
-
Why don't we look at this God thing a different way? Ok, say all you Atheists are right about there being no God. Now, when you die, you're in the ground and no one will ever know you are right. The end. However, if you are wrong, an eternity of pain and suffering awaits... in HELL. Hmm... I think a little time in prayer goes a long way... Anyway, I don't know if the file will work, but it presents my view about religion and science. However, keep in mind that some parts may not make any sense since this stuff was really just footnotes for a presentation I had to do. I read it over, though, and most of it is stand-alone material. :D
Q. In Naruto, How many wheels does sasuke have in both of his sharingan?
-_- A. If it's not one in each, then you are referring to those things incorrectly, since they aren't even circles (they look like comma's). Anyway, the answer is four in total. Q. Which anime was the first to ever be recognized with an award from the Academy (Awards)? (Hint: Recent)
-
And plus if their getting lots of posts whos complaining?
*cough* Uh... I was. I'm amazed they are even allowing them since there's really no discussion involved. Why don't you just wait for someone to answer a question that you can answer? You don't have to answer if one question is about an anime you never heard of. Plus, I think there might be cool if someone came up with a rare question that a person deserves kudos for answering. I mean, with all the animes as free game, you never know who knows what. ;)

IMO, the banner is complete, with the suggestions everyone is giving (i.e., border, non-pixeled font). For the font, I suggest something that is elegant, even handwritten. You know those kinds of fonts. I think the words merit that kind of writing. And remember, just because something is simplistic doesn't mean it is bad. For banners, being too little is better than being too much, IMO.

YVD is MUCH more beginner friendly. I have tried both the program and the patch, and prefer YVD. It's going to be a bigger headache to teach the majority of people to use the Apprentice patch than just using the straight-forward, specifically designed YVD program. C'mon, Altron Gundam, it's just Pharoanic Guardian. Don't tell me you can't adapt/un-adapt to a meta-game without PG. ;)

Hmmm... I don't think Morganna is anything outside of "The World," and I don't think she is the game in its entirety. In other words, I think Morganna is a huge component of "The World," but certainly not an ominous one. If she's "The World," why is she not capable of manipulating Aura like she can any other program piece? Theory: I personally think that Harald Hyuek needed Morganna to complete his masterpiece, and I think "The World" was intended to be more than your daddy's game. It obviously is now, but not how Harald had intended. So, Harald, a passionate programmer, discovered a way to get into "The World." When he could not talk sense in Morganna, and when she became a much more volatile program, not allowing Harald to return to the real world, Harald created a last resort cure: Aura. Additionally, Morganna found out about Harald's "Coma" technique :D

I don't know if you left this thread open by accident or on purpose, but since this thread is for "clarifying," I thought I would ask here. If I shouldn't have, I will have no qualms if you delete my post. What about these Anime quizzes? I mean, the questions they ask are ones that demand facts. Retorting hard information and no comment/discussion/opinion doesn't really seem to merit a thread, you know? I want to know what you think about them. I really think the questions asked should be more open-ended than inquiries that bring replies such as, "yes," "the South," and "42." EDIT: Oh, thank you SO MUCH for opening this thread again, Shy! That "opionion" typo was driving me mad. :D

Mainly to All You Wiccans-How do I "Come Out"?
AzureWolf replied to Patronus's topic in General Discussion
I really have to go with Bush on this one. I mean, I applaud you for searching for the right religion, but are you sure Wicca is the way to go? It may just have what you like to hear (isn't the phrase "no harm, no problem," or something?), but does that really constitute the right religion? Are you really Wiccan? Can you say you have no doubt, and this religion is THE religion? I know most can't say that, but how big is your doubt? You're a teenager, and I think everyone should do a little "soul searching" at that time in their life, if not earlier. However, don't be lazy and go to a religion that just sounds good. I say don't make your parents and family go through that pain unless you are truly a Wiccan. Besides, they have religious dominance over you if you are less than 18. :) -
Wow, very impressive! Your latest work looks much more professional than what you did before (excluding your first one, since I still love it). I really can't say much about the Larvae one since I don't even know the character, and I don't like that "style" (spooky...). However, your latest banner (the one in your sig) is worth looking at! Very classy, and blue! Haha, and that smilie one is golden... Keep up the great work!

Yes, I have. I believe it was episode 4, where Tsukasa is running around with his guardian, and then they are watching the sun set. There's this nice melody when they are just standing there, and then the episode ends. I've been trying to figure out what that song is. I know it's a brief violin thing, but it's really beautiful. Now, I hear that it's part of Yasashii Yaoke's full version (no wonder it's called "TV-edit"). I'm guessing that the songs are just in their full version, and sound weird. I mean, I would never have put that little violin piece and Yasashii Yaoke together!
-
Haha, thanks. Funky colors, huh? Is it just the border, or just all the colors in general? I made the blue and red thing because the statement is a paradox, but I guess doing a red and blue thing with the .hack logo was excessive... What about the guy's name?

Thought I'd get some input for these things, since I did spend a lot of time making them. Thanks in advance for all comments, positive or negative. The matching avi for the banner down below. I made the headband symbol shiny! :D Now, this one, the first two pics on the left should have swapped positions, but since I already did too much to undo all that, I just let it go. It was supposed to be a motion thingy where it looks like Kakashi's revealing his eye. Anyway, I want input on both the banner and quote. I just finished this one, but it looks like the text really gets in the way, specifically the .hack and the user's name. I didn't know what to do, so I'd appreciate any input. As for the background, it's supposed to look messed up because I was trying to recreate the "infected" look from the game. Haha, that's actual code in the background!

Sounds interesting. Let's see if the OBers are really as good as they boast! Count me in!

That's a very debatable question... By original, do you mean a move that Zabuza didn't do, or a move that Zabuza didn't know? It could also be interpreted as a move that Kakashi created by himself, but we all know that can't be the answer. ;) The first move that Kakashi used that Zabuza certainly could not do, (but knew about) was
sharingan
. It was also the very first thing Kakashi did against Zabuza. I consider that "move" a technique, and so do the characters in Naruto, so I would think that was a valid answer. The move that Kakashi did faster than Zabuza, however, would be
Water Element: Water Explosion no Jutsu
. I would call that original in the sense that Zabuza hadn't even pulled off the technique when Kakashi did. Lastly, (this technique is probably the right answer), the completely original technique in the sense that it's Kakashi's alone are the
hunter dog nins
. Those
K-9's
are Kakashi's, and Kakashi's alone. Other people might have other ones, but each set is unique to the user - at least that's what they seem to hint at. Whether Kakashi created that technique or not is unknown, but I think the answer would be "he didn't." Anyway, the answer definately CANNOT be
lightning edge, since Kakashi never pulls that move on Zabuza. That technique is used on Haku
. Haha, nice trick question, but I think I managed to see through your question. :D Yeah, that was a sad pun, but whatever. I'm not sure if I answered the question correctly, but I guess I'll ask a question anyway. What are the ninja levels in the Hidden Leaf Village? Include an example of a person (i.e., Naruto is a Genin) for each level, and if that person deserves that rank (i.e., No way! Naruto's way better than a Genin!).
