"My goal in life is to not wake up 40 years old and realized I wasted my life a slave to a check because I was forced to make a career choice as a teenager"
Haha, what the hell does that mean? Honestly, I'm curious!
Mine isn't much, though I want to be a provisional race driver. I'd love to be in the Australian V8 Supercars, though any racing would do, as long as it's to do with cars.
A provisional race driver? I've never heard of it. What do you do in that field? Chaos, you have to have some idea of what you want to do, or at least some interests that could actually develop into a job for you. Don't you? Good at art? Good with computers? Good at writings? Something?

OOC: Haha, very nice. I thought this RPG was dead or something. I was wondering why no one was posting more. Anyway... IC: Azure realized that Grunty Racing was out of the question when the new characters appeared. As Azure saw a character's deletion (Core's), he couldn't resist using the new "slow-motion" feature that was added into the latest version of "The World." "Noooo!" Azure was raising his palm towards the direction of the action, in slow-motion. He stopped fooling around when he realized that it was no ordinary Player Kill: the character disappeared completely instead of becoming discolored and falling. Little did Azure know that this deletion was a "more permanent" kind of erasure. Seeing Arika take unbelieveable action, and hearing Lios' warnings, Azure realized that this battle was out of his league. Still, he could not run away. He decided to try and aid his new friends in any way he can. "Haha, the great samurai AzureWolf will not let others take all the glory of battle!" Azure dashed towards the battleground. He didn't worry about the repercussions from the admins, as they appeared to be worried more about Arika and the other profession hackers. EDIT: OOC: Oh, haha, I was writing and didn't know you posted Geist. IC: As he dashed towards the action, the mods and hackers fought and seemed to have finished in mere seconds with their speed. Surprised, Azure just stood there. Arika seemed to have created a stalemate. As Lios laughed, Azure grasped his sword's handle, ready to aid his hacker fellows should he notice something amiss...

My condolences... Unfortunately, I can't relate because I've yet to find someone who can relate to me! Haha, I'm a freakin' weirdo! :) Although it does sound great to have someone like that, I'm 19: I don't have anything to confide! Maybe when I'm 30 and I've ran over a few kids... j/k

Do U Think theotaku should have a Rurouni Kenshin Forum
AzureWolf replied to Crazy Ace's topic in Help & Feedback
However, I can't see a Kenshin forum being made as Anime Lounge itself isn't plagued by millions of Kenshin threads.
Hmmm... Isn't it your job as a moderator to make sure that doesn't happen? I've seen the moderators merge or close topics that have more than one thread on it, even if it is about a different aspect of the subject. For example, if there were two thread about Big O, one about the robot and how it functions and another about the show's plot, one would either be merged with the other, or just flat-out closed. So, I don't think that's a valid reason to say Kenshin doesn't deserve it's own forum. Instead, we should look at how popular and big that one legitimate thread is, and how many varied topics lie within that one allowed pangea. -
Haha, everyone, feel free to laugh at my dream, but the ultimate goal in my life is to become a legend! I know it sounds silly, but I want to have been able to have made a difference in this world, a good difference. People remember you for that kind of stuff! My more realistic dream is to become a doctor and search for new, revolutionary medical techniques/solutions to handle problems that appear to be impossible to overcome in our current state. Haha, maybe that's a little far-fetched too... :D I guess my immediate goal is to kick butt in college and get into medical school. Haha, my parents are complaining that I'm taking too darn long (I just finished my first year of college)! I hope it's worth it, since it looks like I'll be around 25 by the time I'm finally able to do that "resident" thingy-the name eludes me for the moment.
For me, my main goal in life is to go to University after I go to College, this will open alot of doors for me in life. However, after that I do not plan on settling down immediately, I am going to travel to the Far East and escape from my home to a completly new culture. I think this will teach me alot of lessons in life. Then after I decide to settle down I feel I want to get involved in either the Writing, Acting or Design Industry. By Design I mean something alone the lines of Graphics or Computer Game Design... Still, these all sound a bit farfetched. It's just something that has stuck in my mind. So the big question; Do you have any Aims or Goals you have created in life? If so, what are they?
Haha, far-fetched? What's so far-fetched about that? I guess I feel better that I'm not the only person with crazy dreams! That's a very nice idea. I hope everything works out for the better for you. I mean, checking out the Far East would be interesting, but 1. I'm not airplane friendly, even though I've never thrown up; and 2. I'm lazy as hell. :)

Beside it being too much white at the left, it looks really nice. Maybe it's a Tenchi thing (I've never seen Tenchi, nor have any desire too). Haha, but I love the quality of your work!

Bah, a live action yugioh movie? What are they going to do? Play cards in front of other people who know how to play? Haha, I think it's a bad idea. Maybe it's just another marketting gimmick (or just a rumor).

I was really wondering why anime is setup the way it is. I've seen so many times in an anime where they end the episode in an amazing cliffhanger, only to spoil it by revealing the aftermath in the preview. Some animes don't, but I've noticed that most do. One example would be Noir: one episode's title is overly labeled, being dubbed "The True Noir." Not only that, but they do a good job of showing you this "True Noir" just before they give you the name of the episode. Hmm... I wonder what's been going on... Now, this "style" (I guess you would call it that) isn't necessarily bad. Sometimes it creates a great amount of anticipation for what happens, as it did for that aforementioned Noir episode. Unfortunately, that anticipation is at the cost of the suspense, since you know what's going to happen, but you just have to see how wonderfully everything unfolds. You know, what you preview never recreates the effect of the episode in its entirety. So, this statement finally leads to the point of this thread... Which do you prefer: suspense or anticipation? Suspense: "Anxiety or apprehension resulting from an uncertain, undecided, or mysterious situation." Anticipation: "Previous view or impression of what is to happen; instinctive prevision; foretaste; antepast; as, the anticipation of the joys of heaven."

Do U Think theotaku should have a Rurouni Kenshin Forum
AzureWolf replied to Crazy Ace's topic in Help & Feedback
I think there's a great potential for a Rurouni Kenshin forum. I can only imagine all the cool threads that will propagate from it's creation: Kenshin's style, the Meiji era, swords during Kenshin's time, do reverse blades exist?, samurai lifestyle, customs done in Kenshin need explanation, etc. Haha, I think it would rock! -
I remember someone wanted this resized for avatar use (Okhami?), but I really wasn't capable of doing so. Just recently, I found a way to resize it with just a click of a button. So I thought I'd put this up for evaluation, since it seems to have gotten uglier upon resizing it (put it on a non-white background to see what I mean).

What the? Gutsman? Cutsman? o_O You guys have trouble with the weirdest things! Haha, I thought electroman was the toughest of the bunch, especially with his range and the amount of damage one hit took off! Anyway, yeah, Mega Man 1 was the hardest of all the ones I have played. Well, to be fair, it was really only electroman that made the game challenging. On the other hand, I haven't played the game in a long time, and remember very little (excuse me while I oscillate my opinion :)). Maybe it was just the hardest thing in the game and it stayed in my head... It was funny because I remember finally being able to beat him without using his weakness on him (because I couldn't figure out what it was), and then
I figured out how to use Gutsman's ability!
Haha, they should have drawn you a picture for that one! You're going to love part 2! I remember Flashman's stage the best. Haha, in my opinion, part 2 of Mega Man created twitch gaming! You had to immediately realize the most efficient route or else you were screwed! Granted, you could use that ability (I'm trying not to spoil any of the surprises and fun :D), but that wouldn't get you through it all. Then there was the platforms that you had to be quick at! Sweetness... They would give you time to practice, but then it was all or nothing. Good times... :whoops:

Finally... Thanks Sara! Anyway, that's rather disappoiting: I thought there was a special code for doing it. Haha, I noticed that each letter was only one specific color, but I thought there was a trick to doing it... Oh well: sometimes the simplest way is the most direct way (although it would be time-consuming without Sara's "post").

Meh, I think it was put together very cleverly. The setup and style is very unique, and imaginative to boot. I don't think doukeshi's main idea was to clearly show the characters/pictures in the back, because the focus is on the more colorful pictures on the front. Anyway, I think it rocks. My only beef with it is that it looks like Gene at the left is a little sharper than the rest of the pictures.

Well, it's not a perfect 2-3 player game. The story is the top priority, so if you only have one character in your party, you can't play two+ players yet. One of you just has to play until you get another person on your team. Then, on the second player controller, press start or select (I'm pretty sure it was one of those buttons). There should be a little "2" icon that appears on top of the controlled character's face at the bottom of the screen.

Tell him as soon as possible and as blantantly as possible. It's just that simple. I still have a stalker from a Yugioh card trade I did online. Haha, every freakin' day, "Did you get any new cards? OOOO! Let me get those off of you!" I don't let it bother me because I could care less what he says. Sometimes he begs me, and it's just pathetic. I'll never trade with someone who has no respect for himself. Lately, I've been getting IMs from little kids (well, High School kids). I don't know if it's connected to me beating some "legendary" yugioh players, but I know it's yugioh related. How? I have no clue. Still, I tell those runts flat-out that I'm not giving them any information about myself as I see no reason for them to have it. They still bother me, and I will tell them to leave me alone if they bother me too much, but I just don't like blocking anyone (no blocks on my buddy list at all! :D). Anyway, your situation is different in that he might think there's a relationship building, so you better tell him flat-out that you don't want a relationship and stop it before he builds himself a higher place to fall from. I bet he'll still try by pretending to be your friend, but hey, don't give out any information and be cool about it. That's my suggestion. :)
Umm thats a link to the Big O thing that MillieFan put up...
Haha, I guess you don't get it. Look at MillieFan's signature, specifically at her banner. I was posting a link that I knew MillieFan posted in (and even created).

I think MillieFan's banner explains it as clearly as possible without saying what it means outright: http://www.otakuboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27812

Hmm... Well, the ones hidden in the LIMINALITY DVDs get you special items at the gott statue, but those are given to you, so I guess that doesn't go into the category of "found keywords..." However, in my random dungeon crawling (yeah, I play for fun and go to new dungeons), I did come upon a place that has Sports Drinks, the only trade bait that you can't find in a given area. I'll check my history if you actually want it.

Anime .hack Volumes have interesting titles... (Easter Egg Discussion)
AzureWolf replied to AzureWolf's topic in Otaku Central
Haha, I found an easter egg! A true to life, actual, no-bull easter egg! Yesss! ::holds fist in triumph:: Anyway, I found this easter egg in the .hack//LIMINALITY: In the Case of Yuki Aihara (the one that comes with MUTATION). Go to the "Data" menu, and then put the arrow on the character art gallery. Don't click into it. Instead, press right, and the arrow should disappear. Now click, and you will be taken to a .hack//MYSTERY page. Haha, it contains a LOT of interesting information. Most of it is new, while some of it we've already known. I never thought much of Piros until I read up about him. ;) Well, I don't know what else to say except, "Enjoy!" I haven't found anything else on either DVD, and I haven't checked out the .hack//SIGN DVDs, so there still might be some more easter eggs. -
Just to clarify things so no one mentions difficult games just because they are difficult. An intelligent A.I. is one that is both unpredictable and formidable. Now, by formidable, I don't mean it has to be as good as you, but it can't be like what Black Phoenix just gave: "Not long after that a tank drove over the cliff and sank into the water." Yeah, that's unpredictable, but not in a good way. Anyway, I have to say one of the dumbest A.I.'s I've ever seen is in Starcraft. Talk about predictable... That just makes it no fun unless you are fighting at uneven odds. Even then, you know what's going to work and what's not going to work. For example, you can have a large team setup at the front of the computer's base, and then have one or two forces attack from behind (then run). Immediately, they will have all their forces at the back, chasing those two units, and you can make an assault in peace. Good A.I., good A.I.... Well, the only good one I could remember is from the Virtua Fighter series. In part 2, especially, there was this "expert mode," where the computer would take everything it's learned from all your fights, and just take you on. It was almost impossible to beat! Blocked when necessary, and used the weirdest moves. Unfortunately, the A.I. became extemely beatable when my little brother and his friends played the game for just a few day. A few days later, learned that, in that short time, they destroyed the "perfect" A.I. All it would do was jump in the air and do ridiculous and useless things, so open for attacks. Here and there it would act like it's old self, but mostly, it would just jump like an idiot. My second pick is also from Virtua Fighter. Part 4 has this cool feature where you "raise"/train an A.I. Granted, I could only raise a retard (I named him Beta :D), but I've faced very sophisticated A.I.'s other people made. Haha, I just couldn't figure out how to teach him to block! He was great on the offensive (made it to 3rd Dan, I believe), but other, thinking, players would just own him because he wouldn't block. Haha, teaching yourself and teaching others are two completely different things!
Hmm, I think my most memorable moment is when I first beat Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I'll never forget the fight with Ganondorf and Ganon. My palms were sweaty and I was shaking all over by the time I beat Ganon. (Heck, my hands were shaking before I even went into the fight, I was so nervous, lol). Then when he finally went down, I just collapsed back into the chair and watched the ending in wonder and relief.
o_O Huh? What made it so scary? Or were you just anxious? OOT was mad-easy the whole way through. What made you think that it would suddenly jump in difficulty? Haha, but it's cool that you can get into a game so much. Still, why were you nervous? Because you were going to end a game that gave you so much enjoyment? :) Oh yes! I remember another one! I was just playing this game in anticipation for Chaos Legion. I have to say that this scene easily takes a spot on my top ten scenes. In DMC, when you first meet the lizardmen (you know, with the claws and the helmets, in that open area
just before the room with the Ifrit gloves
). A lizard jumps out of the ground to your left, and then the camera immediately spins to the right to reveal another lizard, and lastly, it follows the middle lizard down, where he gives you the finger! Then he puts his helmet on. Haha, that was golden! I didn't realize that he gives you the finger (with his middle claw) until I saw it the second time. C'mon, how cool was that? It was put in so subtly.

Just for future reference, there's a large thread in the "Sony" forum for posting any .hack game discussion. This forum is currently only for the anime(s) of .hack. Secondly, yes, the one downside to the .hack games is that it is not "newbie friendly," meaning that you have to had played the previous ones to know what's going on. They try in vain to give a recap at the opening, but (thankfully, IMO) it's brief, and it's missing almost everything that has developed thus far. I'm saying this setup is bad because sales will assume a downward trend for each part (i.e., part 1 will sell the most, and part 4 will seem like the least popular). It may be an awesome setup for the fans, but I don't think it can be good for the developers/producers. Hmm... I wonder if you can still get all the movies from the Ryu books... If you can, then you should be able to get up to speed on what's going on. Haha, but the time you spend getting up to speed will leave you clueless while you play!

I'd love to go, but so far there only seem to be big ones in the Western part of the US. There were a few here, but either I missed them, the fee was too much for my tastes, or they were for girls.

Anime What is your favorite anime movie and Why?
AzureWolf replied to Japan's topic in Otaku Central
Grave of the Fireflies... I've yet to hear anything bad about that movie. Haha, thanks for the recommendation! I will certainly check it out when... uh... I don't know... whenever I get around to it! If possible, could you give me some background info on the movie (i.e., anyone famous make it, setting, general concept, etc.)? Thanks in advance. And sorry for referring to you as a "he" before, maladjusted! :o
