2.
Fair enough, Aristotle. Contradiction is an aspect of logic. I am beyond logic. Therefore, contradiction doesn't apply to me. Thank you. By the way, everything exists, whether you're conscious of it or not. You don't have to be conscious, AKA have dimensionality, in order for things to exist. It exists, whether you dimensionalize and relativize it or not. I meant a dot, which is neither two-dimensional nor one-dimensional nor three-dimensional. But I'm sure you can't grasp that, so nevermind. Here, try this on for size: http://www.fractalwisdom.com/FractalWisdom/zero.html
You cannot be beyond logic if you are putting words together logically, nevermind the letters themselves. Once again, you cannot use something to argue against that very thing. It's like using an act of God to disprove God. Don't confuse abstract concepts with dimensionality (since you're probably a philosophy major, you probably heard it called "abstraction" or some BS like that. While I realize some philosophers exclusively use that term to sound all cool and unique, it's is still a type of concept). Just because you use the word "dimension" in your synonym for abstract concepts, doesn't change the fact that it's a nonexistent conception. It is not an object until it enters the spatial dimensions, since that's the fundamental definition of "object." People believe in hundreds of dimensions, parallel universes and all that jazz, but none of it defines an object as the three spatial ones do. Which brings me back to the point I made before about objects being capable of not moving. Everything else you said... I don't see any bearing to the object in motion stuff. Two sidenotes: 1. the term "zero dimension" makes me laugh, like the philosophers realized how cool it was to have a zeroth law of thermodyanmics and wanted to copy it. 2. ink on paper still has a thickness, one that is very small, but thick all the same. A piece of paper also has a thickness/depth, but we never really consider that dimension because it's not really useful for writing, lol. Consider the thickness of a coin and then think of compressing it flatter, and you'll get a sense of how depth is never removed, only becomes negligible.
 3.
Everything is really the 0 dimension. It's all in a dot, like a drop of water falling endlessly into itself and everything. Dimensionality is just an illusion of your mind. Temporality is an illusion of your mind. Relativity is an illusion of your mind. Spatiality is an illusion of your mind.
You're contradicting yourself here. Zero dimension means a lack of any existence or motion, meaning (once again, logic for the win) nothing is moving. If your fundamental point is that nothing exists, then I'm right again in saying an object is capable of not moving. All I see here are assumptions that only agree with my initial statement. I'm fine with your unsupported assumptions, but that doesn't help you prove me wrong... Not only that, but you follow up the sentence with "it's all a dot," which is a three dimensional object (with an infinitesimally small depth)... This again, is a contradiction. You cannot use three dimensional concepts while at the same time denouncing their existence. The first three dimensions are necessary for any existence, regardless of whether we percieve it or not. The fourth makes motion.
 4.
umm...after reading this I'm seeing that otakuboards is full of lesbian lovers and gay people.....wait do any straight guys not like lesbians?
I don't!... ...I feel left out whenever I see lesbians...
 5.
My first kiss was the worst experience of my life.
Oh c'mon, you can't dangle a treat in front of us and not give it to us eventually! It sounds like an interesting story!
 6.
We think we're static beings, when in fact anyone you see at any moment is just a picture-framed passing of what they were in that moment, as they are transposed into something completely different.
I wasn't looking at the question scientifically at all. In fact, this quote here shows exactly my point: within the smallest quantum of time, nothing is movement. It is a moment, a "picture-framed passing." He never really specified the time frame, so without a fourth dimension, yes, nothing is ever moving. Logic for the win! ;-)
 7. There's only two possible scenarios: Nintendo goes to court and makes them look like idiots, or Nintendo shuts them up with some cash they have lying around on the floors of their workplace. Either way, Wii will rock you.
 8.
I'm saying it again stop trying to turn her GAY!!
I have to be honest here, I truly was disheartened when Charles said he was not a gay fairy. I mean, I've heard guys have turned gay for his sake, but this just makes that less believable... You're right, though, there's nothing worth posting unless it hardcore anyway, which I somehow feel that might be against the rules. Doesn't hurt to try though.
 9. It'd be helpful if you could tell us if it's file-type related, but frankly? I'd put my money on your codecs. Try doing what DeadSeraphim said on your codecs: remove completely, including registry and all, and then reinstall your codecs.
 10. Did you say CERTAIN videos? So not all videos do this? Is it a specific file type, or do some of the same file types work and others don't (i.e., do all .wmv's do this, or do some .wmv's do this and not other .wmv's). Hopefully it's the latter because then it's a codec problem and an easy fix. If it's one file type... boy, haha.
 11.
It doesn?t mean they still didn?t get grounded though. I was just more lenient on the time they were grounded for the offense. ;)
Oooo, this sounds like an opening for embarrassing stories about Aaryanna! How could you stop before providing specific examples of what you are talking about?! What a bummer. But yeah, I can only voice what everyone else has said: smoking is cool. If you have cool parents, they'll probably want to copy you after they see how much cooler you are with a butt in your mouth. Otherwise, it's your parents fault for being uncool that you haven't told them.
 12.
You live in Massachusetts, Sara? I could have sworn I was sending my letters to you somewhere else all these years. Also, I think we should all take a moment to think about Dagger and Sara being married. Mm. -Shy
She doesn't. She lives in #####, exactly where you think she lives. She does go to school in #####, though. I think Dagger was just saying Massachusetts as a reference to something none of us get/know about. I don't even think Dagger is in Massachusetts. I remember thinking she's more in the VA-DC-MD area. Anyway, that was a priceless typo and "fix" by Sara.
 13. Alternatively, you could quit smoking all together. For the mellow feeling and addiction without the harmful effects on your teeth and lungs, reach for nicotine gums!
 14. I think it's an understandable gripe, just like how theists would make a huge uproar if it said, "there is no God for this one nation to be under" or something equally direct but antithetical. If you pledge that a nation is under God, you are acknowledging God's existence. If you pledge that there's no God for a nation to be under, you are acknowledging the nonexistence of God. Frankly, I don't think it's a big deal, but this is coming from a believer of God. If you look at the other side of the coin, it's not a big deal either, but it is mildly irritating. So yeah, gripe, but don't gripe until people's ears fall off. SIDENOTE: Yeah, atheism is a religion. It may not be an organized religion, but it's a religion all the same (Sorry to anyone who was atheist to be different).
 15. The first thing I ever wanted for Xmas... I remember I wanted Double Dragon for the NES more than anything else. We had only recently gotten an NES, and had "girly" games like Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers (although now I'm truly fond of that game). There wasn't nothing "cool" to be had, except this legendary, violent game that everyone except me was playing! I told my aunt, unbeknownced to my mom or dad, and she actually did get it for me! My parents were PISSED, but they eventually let me keep it... After being grounded for two months (February)...
 16. I think it beats everything else out there in the aesthetics department, as well as how it handles RSS feeds (INFINITELY better than Firefox), and it supports plugins. It's off to a good start, and a great way to redeem Microsoft. Although AOL is unforgivable at this point, I think IE7 has potential to take back the lost market share from Firefox. Although, even being the memory whore it is, Firefox is currently the preferred browser since there's nothing else that can both display websites properly and has mouse gestures.
 17. Although I haven't seen a single anime in well over a year now, I will now come out of my abstinence with this show, simply because of its name. Downloading, will discuss after watching. Muahahaha!
 18.
In case you missed it, Dead's post is a link to a page listing all of OB's staff members.[/size']
OHHHH... I thought he was saying they were a dime a dozen or something. Haha, well played, Dead.
 19. Just a side note, most foods listed as "no trans" fat are lying: the rule is that as long as your serving size (which the creator of the product can choose) has a trans fat content of less than 0.5 g, then you can round down to zero. So basically, you can pick a serving size such that the t-fat content is 0.45 g and voila, a zero trans-fat food product. Also, I haven't had any trouble with the diversity and power of ice cream (my one f###ing weakness), and in fact, the flavors and creativity keep on 'a comin'.
 20. I'm not really into international music per say, and although I actually prefer *not* understanding what the singer is saying (since the lyrics tend to be really stupid and get in the way of the audio entertainment since it makes you do a "wtf?!" in your head), I do have two recommendations. For hip hop, I would say BoA is one of the best, if not THE best. The great thing for you, Lunox, is that she's released more Japanese songs than Korean ones, primarily because she's as big in Korea as anyone can get. She's also... 75%? of what is called the "Korean Wave," a recent movement where Korea and Koreans alike are getting more notice/fame/whatever (this thread is a good example too, lol). My personal recommendations from her ridiculously large library? Valenti is one of the most popular ones, but I'm a sucker for Everlasting. And boy, CAN SHE DANCE! (and sing) To get out of mainstream (although she's still VERY popular), I recommend Lee Soo Young. While I can't vouch for the sense her music videos make (which are always sad and tragic, a reflection of how her life was), they are still a great compliment to her music, visually expressing the emotion already found in her music. My personal recommendations are Lalala, Grace, and the Korean version of the FFX song (which most people prefer to the Japanese - that link compares all three). The only downside with her is that she sings primarily in Korean. Only her top songs like "I Believe" have a Japanese counterpart (although her originals always seem to be the best). Oh, and for Korean lyrics (I know that's not what you want as much as just Japanese singing, but still), I recommend Aheeyah. I hope all this helps, heh. The Korean culture is one that's impressed me over and over again (and beyond just singing), so don't give up if you don't find something you like right off the bat.
 21.
Well, there are schools that are gender-specific already. You could see if it's yielding results by checking out their standardized test scores and comparing them to co-ed schools. I realize that there's more data for co-ed schools, but it'd probably give you a vague idea.
Yeah, that would work really well, actually. But I feel that the only problem with those segregated schools is that they are segregated either out of culture or tradition, before psychology became fully accepted and solid data existed on the two sexes. Therefore, except for segregating them simply for the sake of segregation (or removing distractions), I don't think there's any difference in how they teach the boys from how they teach the girls. Now if they actually did work on boys' weaknesses and took advantages of their strengths (and the same for the girls), then yeah, that type of information would be perfect.
 22. Sorry to spam and bother everyone, but ss Naruto done with the fillers yet? I'm referring to one airing in Japan and not the CN series, which is still awesome.
 23.
To me this sounds like a financial issue not a Australia vs America one.
It could be that the individual who killed it for selfish, non-Nationalistic reasons, was an American citizen and that's why there's this uproar?
 24.
I think that mentioning the longterm effects is important, because there is also very little information about the longterm effects of having entirely segregated classes throughout one's school career. So, you know, we're really dealing with a series of unknowns anyway - it will, as always, come down to the choice parents make. It will be the parent who will probably have to address any lack of balance that their child faces in such an environment. That is fine in and of itself...but the key word here is "most likely". In truth, we are talking about vast generalizations and assumptions of ability without any objective criteria - I suppose that, more than anything, is an issue I would raise with this system of education. When you have some girls who are better at gynmastics and some boys who are hopeless with it, you still have a reality where every individual is different - and therefore, I think it is difficult to model an entire education system around this principle. So, yes, I would say take it into consideration and perhaps utilize gender segregation (or the concept of it) under certain circumstances. However, modeling an entire system on what is still quite a vague system of assumptions is probably not the wisest path, in my humble opinion. It's still arbitrary - you're still asking the question "how long is a piece of string", essentially. Gender division is a nice idea but it's also very general and if taken on its own, represents a dismissal of more fundamental learning patterns (of individual students). Perhaps if gender division were used in conjunction with co-ed programs and with an acnkowledgement of individual learning needs, it would be the best solution. But then it comes back to funding and staffing and all of those things. So it's an issue that probably goes around in circles forever with all the demands related to it.
I see your point and what the potential dangers are. Yes, there are exceptions (if we can call it that since there are so many who would be categorized as such), we both agree that it could be negative and/or positive, and that every kid is different. So while ideally something that optimizes "individual learning" would be best, it's currently not practical, so I don't think segregation willl be too harmful to try out. And I think what it boils down to: do you think it's worth trying to see if it's better or worse? I realize you don't favor it all that much for the reasons you've stated before, but do you feel it's an avenue worth exploring for the sake of better education, or the wrong direction altogether?
 25.
The question is why?

No, the question is who heck is Phar Lap? :P

Phar Lap was an Australian racing horse who was totally kicking the crap out of all his competition
Well, I think that wraps everything up nicely, haha. No, seriously: the @## kicking might be reason to kill him.
