Harlequin became a mod yesterday around this time. Anti was an excellent sparer, better than some here *cough* you *cough* could ever hope to be. Your sign up is too short, I find your avatar offensive, it starts without you.

Shalistrae rolled her eyes, as did Lifé, and the dragged their men to the nearest tavern. They were greeted by a tall burly male. He gave them a sneering glance, then turned away. Blue eyes, the same cold blast of air. Lifé's brows furrowed, and she could feel her teeth grinding together. Ilmiwyrth shoved her. Her eyes were starting to glitter. Ilmiwyrth: Stop it. Lifé: They're all posessed. Vichante: Which god? Lifé: I wouldn't say it was a god or a greater demon of sorts. Shalistrae:......this is all seeming.... The two women exchanged a glance, then a thought. "Tirakindadro." They could feel growls rising in their throats, stifled them, and instantly turned to leave.

She leaned against his shoulder, and he put his arm around her. The sound of the rain, one of her favorite things.... He watched her eyes close partway, then her mouth open slightly. How easy it would be to kill her now. Crush her bones and slit her throat. She stirred and put her arm around his neck, fingers resting on his neck. "Nervous?" "Why should I be? Why would you kill me when you could sleep with me?" ".....good point." She smiled, and settled back, pleased with herself.

As soon as they entered, they were greeted by two old women. One was masked, the other hooded. The only part of them visible were glowing blue eyes. Lifé shuddered. The blast of cold magic was impossible to ignore. Shalistrae, through her layer of fur, felt it as well. The older of the two bowed slightly, the women curtsyed and the men gave what could've been a bow. "Welcome." "....will you be staying here for long?" "No. We are servants of the Angelorum. We are just passing through." "Good."

He watched her eyes. They dialated, then they contracted and he waited for the outburst. It never came. She clenched her teeth, bit her lip, then nodded. Trance: Very well then. You have my leave to go. Her lower lip trembled, and she turned and made a swift exit. Before anyone could ask why her eyes were particularly bright.

Writing Today's Poem [M -- As a Precaution]
Raiha replied to Heaven's Cloud's topic in Creative Works
For the Lady. I never could understand life, Nor its incredible brevity. You and I, Have barely met, And it doesn't seem right to let go of your hands now. But time is the enemy, Presing on, You and I, Are now apart, And it will never be the same again. Now I remember one thing, Going forwards, You and I, Together some day, Meeting on the other side. -
Sayuri massaged her forehead with the point of her oragami. This trip was going to be more than just aggravating. This was going to require a period of repentence and twelve joss sticks. As the night set in, she walked down to the nearby temple. Sayuri glidded in quietly. Soon enough she was greeted by two old women, both masked and wearing long robes. Sayuri: Tenesh, untai? The older woman smiled gravely and bowed to the female warrior. Sayuri bowed back. Old language and old manners. Both of which carried well in the eyes of the head of the Moon temple. The lady bowed once more and gestured to the clean grounds, then to the fountain. Sayuri looked down and followed her inside. The lady handed her three sticks of insence. She knelt at the altar, lit them reverently, then pressed her forehead to the ground, murmering her prayers.

He opened his eyes. The knock on the door was gentle, yet loud enough to draw attention. "Who is it?" "Three guesses and the first two don't count." "Come in." She smiled and opened the door, closing it behind her quietly. The doctor had changed back into her normal clothes, keeping the bangles with her just in case. Namida had retired, but Trance was too awake for sleeping. She sat down on the couch next to him. He touched her hair gently, almost reverently. She blushed prettily. "Are you tired?" "Only a little. The evening has been more than eventful." "Had fun looking through his wardrobes?" "Plenty. And you?" "It's not my thing."

In the meantime, I wait for my current client to make a move. As....his time is almost up.

Trance: You are NOT going anywhere without the permission of the Cheif Medical Officer. That would be me. Aorashi: You can't! Denny: Oo, wrong turn. Trance: I can actually. It's one of the technicallities I find the most refreshing. Aorashi: But I need to help them. Trance: Yes, when you can walk again. If you're ambushed on this so called quest, you'll be nothing but a danger to yourself and the others. Aerow: The doctor has a point. Trance: Furthermore, if this is a long quest, you'll need tune ups on your spinal column every now and then. I have to stay here... Aorashi: Can't you teach them how to do it? Trance: I barely understand it myself. What do you think?

Sayuri: ...a mong. You realize that that particular word carries some meaning for me. She turned and gave him a very fixed stare. Kaiser winced, and her eyes flickered between silver and green. He could've sworn they turned into cat-like slits, then he blinked and they were back to normal. Sayuri curled her lip at him in disgust, then turned and continued walking. Wolf: Ouch. Kaiser: .....tempermental. Sayuri: Fück you. Kyp: So lady-like. Sayuri: I'm the once tortured pet of fallen samurais. Am I supposed to be a lady? I think not.

Trance: Red handed. Namida: I almost feel guilty. Trance: Almost...but not quite. Namida: Oh well. It's not like we're going to keep them. Trance: I couldn't wear them to work...and I usually stick to silver. She rumaged through a few things and came out with two snake bangles. Namida: Ethnic. Trance: This would be more my style.

They stopped on a long tall ridge. She slipped off Chiron's back lightly, and stroked his shoulders. He whickered at her, then turned and walked away. Lifé stared down into the village below. It looked the same. Shalistrae peered down closer...hawk-like eyes focusing on the people. She shuddered under her wings, then they dissapeared. The same went for her claws and her horns. The ears didn't matter, elves weren't exactly a minority. Vichante: Why the disguise? Shalistrae: We're not supposed to be existing. If they knew we lived, they'd plague us to no end. Lifé: I'm thankful I look slightly normal. Vichante: Slightly? She tossed a swift roundhouse in his direction, which was blocked easily. She rolled her eyes and put on her cloak. Ilmiwyrth was still wearing the morose expression. She walked over to his personal space and slipped an arm into his. "Look like we're a couple. I'm tired of men hitting on me wherever I go." "What do I get in return?" "I'll let you phsically assult me."

Trance smiled to herself, picking off a pair of rather strappy stiletto heels. She slipped them on, then twirled in a swift pirouette. Namida: Ballet? Trance: Somewhat...I also took a class in exotic. Did rather well... Namida: But that's not your real job. Trance: No, I'm a gynecologist. Deliver babies, counsel mothers, all that good fun. Namida: Sounds like money. Trance: It is. And thankful parents often give me certain gifts.... Namida: Maybe I should try that. She shook her head, smiling. The two went back to the mirrors, then to the wardrobes.

They continued running well into the night, Shalistrae flying low, Lifé relying on her second wind. Eventually, they burst onto a clearing. The clearing was the dancing lawn of Fauns, Nymphs, and Dryas, but currently not in use. The only creature present was a huge male cenutar. Ilmiwyrth screeched to a halt, but Lifé ran right up to him and knelt. Lifé: Hail Chiron. King of Equine. Chiron: Hail Lifé Sevenstar. Princess of Turn. Vichante/Ilmiwyrth: Princess?!!?!? Shalistrae: Of course. The cenutar dipped his head in tribute, then lifted her up with a large hand. She smiled sweetly. He lifted her onto his back and she whispered a few well chosen words into his ears. He nodded then walked off stately. Northwards.
-
Vichante: So wrong...so twisted. Ilmiwyrth: And you're last night wasn't? Shalistrae: No, we admitted it. You're wallowing in self denial. Lifé/Ilmiwyrth: Denial? Vichante: Now they're talking in pairs. Lifé: Oh gods... She rubbed her eyes.
-
Lifé and Shalistrae gave eachother a look akin to disgust, then the two women pointed their hands at his ankle, whispering the same healing spell, then continued walking. Neither had looked at him, neither had paused. Ilmiwyrth slapped himself in the forehead and the two women giggled. Ilmiwyrth: It's a conspiracy. They're gonna get me. Lifé: At least you're resigned to your fate. Ilmiwyrth: Vichante...help me! Shalistrae: Do it, and you'll be sleeping on the couch for a month. Lifé: Because that's how long you can go without sex.
-
Lifé tickled his ear with the tip of her talon and smiled sweetly at him. He brushed her hand away carelessly. Ilmiwyrth: Ee... Shalistrae: Come on Ilmiwyrth. You've got a woman who's fascinated with you and two people behind you..... Vicante: That will be making love more than once on this trip. Lifé: If it's not now, it's later. Ilmiwyrth: Later. He gave her another one of those looks.
-
Awww.....damn you.
-
Lifé chuckled and caught up with Ilmiwyrth. She gave him a look and he stopped stewing for a few minutes. Shalistrae and Vichante walked behind them, arm in arm, and rather happy. Strangely enough. Ilmiwyrth: Does this mean what I think it means? Lifé: Only if you want it to. Ilmiwyrth: Choices choices.
-
Trance: ....lovely. Brings out the real you. Namida: I could say the same about that one. Trance: Why do you suppose a Count...of all people, has such a collection of beautiful dresses? Namida: Maybe he likes to cross dress. Trance: Or they're purely for our enjoyment. Namida: Either way...if he plans on being nice... The two exchanged a glance, then grinned. Trance: I wonder if he has a drawer of shoes.
-
She gave him a gentle smile, one she usually reserved for children, then walked out into the hanger. She eyed his mech and brought out the toolkit. He grinned and she shook her head with helplessness. Trance: You're watching. That way...I can make you put it back when you can stand again. Aorashi: Of course. Trance: You owe me big. Aorashi: I think all of us do. She rolled her eyes and went up. The mech's entire interior needed to be rewired. She moaned inwardly, but started the process of taking it apart again.
-
Trance: There was permanant damage done to your spine. I've partially corrected it with implants, but your movement will be severely restricted from now on. Piloting a mech just got far more difficult, much less walking. I hae to be the bringer of bad news, but your spinal injuries are slightly beyond my....experience. Aorashi: So what are you saying? Trance: I've put several disks into your spine, they need to be updated once a month, not to mention the severed nerve endings. Have you noticed any tingling in your feet? Aorashi: A little. Trance: If you don't start walking again, they'll atrophy. Muscle regrowth is very difficult....I hope you have the will to survive. Aorashi: So will I ever be back to normal? Trance looked out the window, arms folded. "Lets hope so.

The jilted female looked pointedly away, but not before Neuvox flashed her the international insult with her right hand. Ilmiwyrth snorted into his drink and looked down at his bizare companion. The dark faun gritted her teeth and forced a sweet smile. Neuvox: When we get out of here...you and I have an appointment with a dungeon. Ilmiwyrth: Sounds like plenty of good innocent fun. Neuvox: I suppose my sadistic cynical nature won't bother you much. Ilmiwyrth: I find it refreshing. Neuvox: Comforting. Ilmiwyrth: Of course, that hand you have on my thigh is not refreshing? Neuvox: What is it?
