Sayuri was more than peeved, especially at Gus's attempt at the macho. More than Oz's little "coolness" look. She pursed her lips, then adjusted her backpack. In her class, she sat down and waited patiently. The teacher began a lecture of a subject she was already well versed in. AS usual, she sat back, and painted her nails black again. The teacher gave her a meaningful look, or was it patronizing? Which she started ignoring immediately. Gus sat across from her, barely containing the laughter threatening to break loose. She continued with what she was doing, not even looking up when the question was asked. Sayuri: Yes Mr. Burnham, I am exploring my shallow teenage self. Burnham: Then what, is the answer? Sayuri: 1945 The end of the WWII in America, as the war in Europe was over in 1944. Burnham: .......very well. Gus: ....*snort* Sayuri: Heh. With an eyebrow raised, she smiled at him and waved her nails....

She stepped in closer, nibbling on his ear a little bit. Then she breathed out slightly. Sayuri: Sounds like fun. Although I'm out to prove the teachers wrong about me..... Do you know if we can make it back before the bell rings? Gus: Uh....yeah. Containing her urge to sit him on the table and rip of his shirt, she snaked her arm around his and allowed him to lead her out of the cafeteria. He smiled, unaware of the problem she was able to become. He walked out the doors and down the sidewalk. They stopped outside a Fudruckers and he opened the door for her. She smiled and followed him in. He ordered for the both of them. They sat down and waited. Several minutes later, the lady showed up and handed them the plates. With manners that were tottally out of character for her, she proceeded to inhale her food, then wipe her lips daintily. Gus: ...were you hungry? Sayuri: Where I come from, you eat before it can be taken from you. Gus: ....the Marines? Sayuri: Not funny. Gus: Sorry. She sipped her drink, checking the movement around them. A particular character, a biker by the looks of it, sauntered up to them. She looked him straight in the eye.

Look above you Shinkoru. The butterfly is already taken by me. Now I don't care if it's somewhat different, there's no exception. Number one, Neil might not let you in as it's already started. Number two, if you don't change that, you and I have an appointment to meet in the Battle Arena. You sabe?

He stared at her, then his gaze went out of synch. She sighed and leaned back. Soon, he was back to normal, wondering what had hit him. She smiled softly and continued doing her work. The teacher watched her warily. The bell rang. She stood, stuffed her things back in her pack and walked out the door. Without a backwards glance, she went to the furthest corner of the campus and waited. There was nothing to do besides sit and wait for lunch to end. She picked her black nails absentmindedly. Nothing there for her. Food wasn't necessary. She got enough from the humans around her. Mutant coming. Her antenae flickered and glowed. Automatically, her hand covered them, as if she was smoothing down her hair. ~~~~~~~ HINT: Somebody save me.

.Rinkayum put his arms around Lifé's shoulders and smiled at Vichante. His eyes flickered ever so slightly, then went normal again. Vichante paused, then continued looking around. Lifé waved to the two men, who were being approached by two other female's, then followed Rinkayum's lead. He led her into a quiet grotto, surrounded by nothing but rushing water. But it was completely silent. She smiled at him. Rinkayum: So what is this all about? Lifé: A spat between the gods and goddesses. What does Ochkik Haddah tell you? Rinkayum: I think you know the answer to that. Ever since you left us, we've been waiting. And now that you're back...we're pleased. Lifé: Have your feelings changed? He put his huge hands around her face, touching her hair, eyes, lips. Then he let their thoughts pass back and forth. She smiled up at him, then let him hug her. Lifé: Alright then.

At the highschool, Sayuri watched them walk by. Several eyed her up and down. Maybe it was the miniskirt... She cursed inwardly, then relented. One of them approached her, hands open. She smiled and put her arms around his neck. He instantly found himself a place on her neck, kissing gently. Deriving nothing but contempt, she let him move, then, without warning, she brought her knee up to his groin. Once. Twice. He collapsed, and she ground his hand with the heel of her boot. Then she stalked off to class. Sayuri Okimura sat down and flipped her hair over her shoulder. The teacher watched her. Mentally, he calculated she was a trouble student, and she decided to prove him wrong. Her antenae, beneath her thick brown hair, flickered slightly. The class began, and she complied like any normal person... The first test of the day, aced. She smiled and eyed the teacher sweetly. Suddenly she stiffened. A mutant behind her. She could taste his scent in the air. She turned.

If I could be the President of the United States for just one day
Raiha replied to Phantom's topic in General Discussion
*reads some people's posts* *has a laughing fit* Apparently, at least half of you have never studied American History or American Political Systems. Half of what you've said is IMPOSSIBLE, and half of it is a good idea. I would never want to be the president. I want money, not fame. But if I could be anyone in the government, I would work for the C.I.A. -

She rolled her eyes at the men's ignorance. Not only were the Dragourets the nicest people you could ever want to meet, they also were flesh and blood. Lifé touched a scar on her neck gingerly. Yeah, they were real. She walked through the forest, then picked up a quicker pace. They followed without question. An hour later, she stopped short, braething lightly. They had reached a huge clearing, and yet another waterfall, full of ferns and scores strangely shaped rocks. Lifé smiled to herself and clapped her hands. Vichante: If you believe in faries... Lifé: LIBERTINE! Instantly, the rocks melted down into full sized Dragourets. At least a hundred winged beasts stood up en masse and stared at the newcomers. The alpha male, a huge horned creature, named Rinkayum, stepped forwards. Lifé went up on her tip toes and kissed his hands. He chuckled and kissed her's back. Rinkayum: Welcome.

She answers to either one of her three names, and has lived many lifetimes. She will never bow to anyone but her master, and refuses to back away from a fight. The hands greeted them, leading them down the hall. Before they realized it, they were at the entrance to the Forest opening. Kryas was there, holding her staff. She bowed, handed their clothes back to them, and opened the doors. The hands pressed on them haversacks of food, then receeded into the halls. Lifé bowed in thanks, then left without further word. The men followed, curious, but not saying anything. As soon as they were out of earshot, Ilmiwyrth turned on her. Lifé: What? Ilmiwyrth: What the hell was that? Lifé: ....Kryas doesn't talk in the morning, nor does she give advice. She told me everything last night. Vichante: In a dream I suppose. Lifé: Now that you mention it, yes she did. She told us to continue on our way, and to see the Dragourets. Ilmiwyrth: They're not real. Lifé: Wanna bet?

Writing Today's Poem [M -- As a Precaution]
Raiha replied to Heaven's Cloud's topic in Creative Works
Princess Mononoke Poem translated from the Japanese There was a time, long, long ago, When people killed the Great God of the Forest. Human face. Body of a stag. Horns atop his head like the trunks of massive trees. For what reason did the humans take his life? The human population was large. Much of the ancient forests had been cut. Here and there, stands of the old forest remained. Defying the humans? attempt to penetrate it. Great wise beasts, wolves, boars and others Desperately guarded the last sanctuaries. They were feared as rampaging gods. They revered the Great God of the Forest. A clan called Tatara were makers of iron, And it was the Tatara who fought battle, after savage battle, With the raging gods of the forest. Their leader was a woman, the Lady Eboshi, Determined to clear and open the forest. And to those who served her, Gonza, who would follow her through the gates of hell, Otoki and Kohroku. And the mysterious priest, Jiko, who is sworn, To capture the head of the Great God of the Forest. The old woman, the Oracle, the far-seeing and wise, Lived in a village remote and hidden from time. Nago, Moro, and Okkotunushi, fierce-eyed and terrible, Rampaging gods who guarded the forest. And the tiny woodland spirits, the Kodama. The girl San was born a human, But she was raised by Moro the wolf, To be the Princess Mononoke, the defender of the forest. She loathed the humans who invaded their land, The youth Ashitaka, delivered by fate, Into the midst of the last desperate battle, Between the humans and the rampaging gods, On a journey to cleanse his body a scar, and escape its slow curse of death. Ashitaka and San, Met in the midst of the carnage and chaos of battle What hope could there be for feelings of love, Born of a place steeped in hatred and killing? In the weaving of this epic tapestry, Which current will prevail. The battle between forest and human, Or the love between warrior and princess. -

Mods? Strict? *insane laughter* Please, spare me. Especially all of this petty bickering. Everyone here knows that James and Charles do a nice job considering what they have to work with. I'm not trying to brag, but I've been here since day 1, spent some time at the old UBB before it was replaced with VBulletin, and have never had any complaints about the way things were run. Charles has an ego. So does my pet fish, but does that make me not like him? I know several of the mods here on a personal level, and they are all just people doing their jobs. I was a mod for a bit, I hated it, but I was a mod. I never had any reason to close a stupid topic or yell at some idiot. Not more than once anyways. But if people think that mods are strict, they probably have a problem with authority anyways. I was told to respect the people in charge, and I do. If I didn't, I wouldn't last a day. Why argue? Mods are mods. And fish with egos are fish with egos. End of story.

Interesting really.........I always had a soft spot for Faeries. Name: Laelia "Neuvox" Shalistrae [Lay- el- eeah New- vouge Shell-is-tray] Gender: Female Age-group: Elder, but still young looking. Roughly 500 years old. Race: How come the king doesn't have an o-s-o- gorgeous lover? J/K She's a Faun Alliance: None. Appereance: see attatchment. Biography: The daughter of darkened folk, Nevoux answers to the name of her mother and the mother before her. Despite her adorable and cudly appearance, she is morbid, filled with self loathing, and a professional murderer. She will sell herself for almost any price or reward and not care who crosses her path. This hatred of hers stems from nothing but her own self inflicted agony. To cross her is not wise. To join with her in a fight is. As of now, she is waiting for someone to come to her. And if she smiles at you, run for cover.
