She woke up the next morning, calm and collected. Her clothes almost flew onto her body, and she walked into the hallway. Vichante and Ilmiwyrth were still fast asleep. She twisted back her hair and sighed. A alcoholic, a sadistic matter changer, and a Dorobo witch. And here she stood, waiting quietly. The doors opened siemoltaneously and she smiled. Lifé: Goodmorning gentlemen. Dfid we sleep well? Ilmiwyrth: Certainly. Vichante: ....ugh.
-
She smiled at him, a strange gesture considering what he put her through, then flicked the amesthoi out of his mouth and back into her own. She touched the side of his face, more like a sister than a lover, then left the room. Ilmiwyrth was waiting out in the hall. Lifé: He's offa cloud nine. Ilmiwyrth: Why did you do it? Lifé: It's an oath of mine. Sworn to the Facelss god. To aid those with the potetntial to change. Ilmiwyrth: And you see this in Vichante. Lifé: Of course I do. I'm not as big a fool as you think. He's worth something. Ilmiwyrth: ......you've hardly known him. Lifé: What of it?
-
She stood up and flicked the needle into her hand. With light padding steps, almost undetectable, she entered Vichante's room with the aid of her nails in the key slot. He was drunk, the smell was a dead giveaway, so were his half open eyes. She sat down next to him, hands caressing his pained face. "He isn't worth it." "I think he is. Leave me alone. If you actually care for him, let me do this." She shoved him out of her mind with a fierce twist and turned back to Vichante. He turned in his sleep and she bent down. Her body gave off the healing scent of moonflowers, and from her mouth, she removed an amethstoi. His body reacted, violently. She held him down with one hand and shoved the gem into his mouth. He screamed aloud, then sat up straight, dead sober. The first thing he saw was a naked female sitting next to him, face half bruised. Lifé: How do you feel?
-
Lifé ate her fill, drank the wine slowly, then stood and left, guided by the hands. Once in her room, she removed the pin and sat down on the huge futon bed. She removed her clothes slowly, and placed her blade on the table top. Hands folded behind her head, she laid back and thought over the events. Aerin wasn't angry, Mechery was fuming...as usual...probably sleeping with her snakes right now. Plotting revenge.... She shook her head. Their thoughts were growing larger, pressing down on her mind. She hissed and rolled over onto her stomach, stretching her spine out. Footsteps. She made no effort to hide her lack of clothing and looked towards the door.
-
Lifé snorted into her palm, before reaching into her shirt and withdrawing two more of her needles. The one from earlier was inserted into her mouth and sealed inside the flesh. She handed the other two to the men. Vichante: Blessed pins? Lifé: ...yes. They work. I've tried them with snake poison, curses, and other such things. Ilmiwyrth: .....why should I trust you? Lifé: Tell ya what....if they do not work. You can rape me for free. Vichante: .....You can't rape the willing. Lifé: ....if you don't believe me, just don't hate me when you die from one of her soup dishes. She's been known to use poisonous fish and leave the spines on. Just to make it taste better. She sniggered and walked down the stairs again. Kryas's servants greeted them. Much to the surprise of the two men, they were twelve pairs of disembodied arms and hands. The hands pressed them all down into their seats and raised their napkins and poured their glasses of water. Kryas: Welcome. She clapped her hands and her servants jumped to action, bringing forward steaming trays. Not one to stand on much ceremony, Lifé opened the nearest one and spooned the rice onto her plate. She grinned at the others and tasted it. The men watched her warily. Well....she didn't turn into a toad, and she didn't frown....so it must be alright. They dug in as well, only to hear her voice echo in their minds. "Do not touch anything she gives you by her own hands.....

And now to celebrate the return of my own computer. I give you a picture of Neuvox. Yes, it is meant to be that bizarre.
-
Lifé: ...they knew what they were doing. She smiled faintly, and turned around, exposing her back to them for the first time. Cat o nine whip marks, spreading outwards, forming the shape of a willowtree, complete with leaves. Vichante: That explains the knife. Lifé: A parting gift from them. Vichante: You were afraid of them? Lifé: Until I learned how to brawl....yes. Kryas: Are you three going to chat down there all night? Dinner is almost ready!
-
Lifé: I used to live in a place where rape was second nature, and the men were demonic....to say the least. Being with you two is like being on holiday. Ilmiwyrth: .....demonic. Lifé: Ever heard of the Ghosthunters? Vichante: ....the ones who use semptasu and magic jars? Lifé: Yep. I was their daughter for a time. Ilmiwyrth: .....rape-daughter you mean. Lifé: It wasn't really rape. Vichante: Twisted. Lifé: Listen to the pot calling the kettle black. Ilmiwyrth: ....back to being open minded... Lifé: I've ween it all. Back biting, black mailing, double crossing..... Vichante: I suppose you're an expert at it too. Lifé: Of course. But I never double cross those whom I've sworn myself to.
-
She winked at them, then raised her hands up to the roof. Healing light flooded down on her body, erasing the cutting marks, restoring her skin to it's former lustre. She purred at Ilmiwyrth, then collapsed gracefully under the water. She resurfaced, after swiming through Vichante's legs. Lifé: I love my life. Ilmiwyrth: Why? You're a common whore, and a user. Lifé: And.....that's bad. Vichante: No, we already knew you were. Lifé: My body is my own, to do with as I see fit. Ilmiwyrth: You have no connections to the gods through it then? Lifé: That's all up here. She tapped the side of her head lazily and smiled.
-
She mused inwardly, then let her magic nooses snake out of her hands and curl around their wrists and ankles. With a swift jerk, she sent them both reeling into the pool..... Lifé grinned, then laid back and chilled to the sounds of the forest outside. The glass roof was frosted over, but not thick enough to block out the full moonlight. The two looked indignant, until she let her legs and arms surface and twist backwards in a strange sort of stretch..... No matter how freaky her movements were, they were still remeniscent of a strip tease. But she gave off a sort of "just try it" energy that served to both ward them off and entice them at the same time. Maybe it was the smell of moonflowers she was extuding. Lifé: Having fun yet? Vichante: Let me see.... She roared with laughter until he ducked uder under the water. Far from being concerned, she simply grabbed him by the waist and dug in the nails.

June Woo; To my mother, And the memory of her mother, You asked me once what I would remember, This, and much more. I remember your seat became mine, You started the Joy Luck Club, Long ago in Kweilin, Hated and loved in the war. Running from the soldiers, And you let go of your children, But I am not those babies, Even though you wanted them. Your kindness, smartness, cooking, All contribute to the fullness of my life, Just like the stories, And the ways they changed. The piano lessons were hell, And I hated disappointing you, But I did it anyway. Forgive me. The pendant of jade, Means everything I don?t understand, Perhaps it really is my life?s importance. I found them, Chwun Yu and Chwun Hwa, And they love me, Jing-mei ?June? Woo, The way you showed your love for me. Waverly Jong; I remember the lessons of invisible strength, The strongest wind cannot be seen, Pride and shame, Your strength, your innocence. Your vulnerability, Meimei, you called me, Your weakness, Our fragile connection. You, an old woman but my mother, With your wok as armor, And knitting needle as a sword. Waiting for me, Your daughter, West to reach East, The way you show your love for me. Lena St. Clair; I remember your secret wish, How you wore your new tiger clothes, Covered in blood then water, And how he was not the Moon Lady. You told me about the 1,000 cuts, Becoming a nameless Dragon instead of a Tiger, And the baby you lost, Just like your chi. The rice I always finished, When you told me my husband would be ugly if I didn?t, chunwang chihan, The vase fell down. Your doomed marriages, The kai gwa man, the faithless man, and Mistah St. Clair, My father. The way you gave your spirit to me, Splitting my soul for a time, From Tiger ghost to Tiger girl, The way you show your love for me. An-mei Hsu; I remember my grandmother was a ghost, Popo always scared you, Auntie was terribly cruel, It was a house filled with riddles you could not understand. The scar across your neck, Covers the pain within, And the mother?s scar on her arm, Was a failed cure. The day Bing Hsu died, You were so composed, Even though you failed to find him, And took the blame away from me. You told me to make him hulihudu, And showed me hemongmong, When it actually worked I was overjoyed. Your mother was full of sorrow, And she gave her spirit to you, A true suicide for strength, With agony at its core. It?s a family tradition, Grandmother gave flesh, You gave your wisdom, The way you show your love for me. Based on the book Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan. -
Kryas: Considering the fact that you are no longer in the plane of mortals or otherwise....it would be wiser to obey. Lifé: ...than be sacrificed anyways. The two men exchanged a glance before following the women up the long staircase. When they reached the doors, the lights were extinguished, save the candle in her hands. With a simple twist of her wrist, the doors clicked open and seemed to bow before Kryas. They entered her lair, calmly, looking around slowly. Kryas: Welcome once more to my home. Lifé: Looks the same as always. Ilmiwyrth reached out to handle the sword hilt resting on a credenza. The Dorobo witch turned slightly, eyes half open. Kryas: Don't touch anything. Lifé: ......the cursed blade of the Dragonhearts wouldn't respond well to a mortal's touch. Ilmiwyrth: And I suppose you can touch it. Lifé: Considering Kryas is my godmother.....yes. The lady led them through several hallways, twisting down dark passages and through empty rooms until they stopped in front of a huge marble bathtub. Lifé contained her excitement, stripped off her remaining clothes and weapon, than slid into the warm water. The bubbles rose from the floor, obscuring any view previously had. Vichante smiled slightly. Vichante: Happy? Lifé: Overjoyed. Kryas: The towels are in the cupboard, along with fresh clothes. Leave the rest here, my servants will attend them. Ilmiwyrth: Servants? But she had already gone.
-
She flicked her fingers at them before wheeling around and diving deep, toes pointed severely. They followed until she dissapeared into a black hole type thing. Vichante and Ilmiwyrth paused until the whole place was illuminated with pale green light. From the entrance, they could see her, flicking ...fins? ....at them, then dissapearing down into the tunnel. A weird sort of groan echoed through the water and she hissed for them to hurry. Dark shapes persued them; slowly, but .....menacing. Several minutes later and several flicks later, they rose up and broke the water's surface with a splash and a gasp. Lifé's body returned to normal, and she jumped out of the water to the stone platform. Ilmiwyrth: That..... .....is the last time......I.....listen ....to you. Vichante: What was that?!? A jinni? Lifé: .....no. It's a wakturn. Ilmiwyrth: You bîtch. Lifé: ......and your point is...? Kryas: Welcome! A tall, older lady walked down stone steps to greet them. A heavy candle was in her hand and a gentle light flooded down on them. Vichante stared. She was vaugely familiar, but still mysterious. Her eyes didn't help. Weird, flat, shifting eyes.... Ilmiwyrth: ...... ..... Lifé: Kryas. We're being persued. Kryas: Not anymore. She waved her hand and the lights were brought to full power.

The next village they came close to was quiet, calm, and was advertised as "Windflower." Lifé grinned to herself and held up one hand. Genitian snorted, then raised his head. Lifé dismounted quickly, removed the jawrope, and waved him down the road. He entered the village and was soon taken into a livery stable by a towheaded boy. She grinned, then stood back in relaxation. He would be watched for a very long time. Longer than she would be safe. She turned to the others and smiled. Then she removed her cherrywood staff and leaned on it nonchalontly. Vichante: And the point of that maneuver was...? Lifé: He won't be coming our way. It's not suitable for horses of any type. Ilmiwyrth: I wonder why... Lifé: How many horses do you know that are capable of diving and swimming beneath waterfalls ringed with flame? Ilmiwyrth: Not many. Vichante: Case and point. She crouched, then leapt into the nearby woods, dodging around trees and ferns, moving faster than her horse ever had. The others kept up easily enough until she stopped in front of the aforementioned waterfall. She stripped down to knife, lingere, and belt, then leapt in without a backwards glance. They watched until her head appeared several feet away. She swung her hair around in a fan of water, then called for them to follow. Vichante: Are you sure this is the only way? Lifé: It's the fastest way. And the water's great! Ilmiwyrth: Liar. Lifé: ......oh really? She hauled back, then shoved a huge wave of water in his direction.
-
Lifé rolled her eyes and spun her staff between her fingers slowly. Vichante shot her a deadly glance and she gripped it between her right leg and her elbow. Like one of the sages she was so familiar with, Ilmiwyrth stood and waited. Lifé: ......Sometimes I wonder why I even bother. Vichante: Oh yes, we're that pathetic aren't we? Lifé: Not really. More like.....troubled, as in "The troubled prince of Verona." Ilmiwyrth: Our life is not a fairy tale. Lifé: It could be argued. Ilmiwyrth: Save me. Lifé: I could, eventually, but not now. Instead, I would much rather eat something at Kryas's house and drink red wine. Vichante: I second that.
-
Lifé smiled broadly and started walking out the door. Her fingers snapped twice, and Genitian's ears perked. Within a trice he was standing at the gate, whisking his tail and purring loudly. She leapt upwards, did a full flip, then landed on his shoulders in the lotus position. Lifé: Are you ready? Vichante: I hate you. Lifé: ...... ..... .....so what else is new? Vichante: Nothing. Except this....Why hasn't he left you yet? Lifé: He loves me. And he found me before I ever became sworn to the Angelorum. She stroked his mane and took out the cherrywood staff.

Name: Sayuri Okimura Callsign: Neuvox Age: 17 Sex: Female Height: 5'6" Build: Slender, yet strong enough to hold her own in a fist fight. Insanely flexible, something akin to a ballerina without the incredibly delicate waist and arms. Attire: Gothic in general, leather pants, crop top, black lacing body covering, biker's gloves, silver bracelets, belt, choker, and pliable boots. All contrast strongly with pale cream skin and delicate looking eyes. But it's mostly just a believeable front. Abilities: The power to channel kinetic energy into herself and manifested as a humanoid butterfly. Wings, strong enough to keep her going, antenae to sense movement around her, and claws....but not nearly as strong as Wolverine's. Biography: The victim of a harsh family and an unkind relative, Sayuri is an excellent con artist thanks to her enviornment. In general, she will never attack until the threats become serious. Her gothic attire does nothing more than fool people into writting her off, believing her to be nothing more than a common whore. And they would be only half right there...she is a prostitute, but not by choice. If she had the power to change her horrid circumstances, she would. When she uses her power, she must draw deeply into herself, then push everything outwards. After a long period of time, say, 3 months, she is forced to go into chrysallis form and rest for three days. Afterwards, she is reborn again, energy renewed, but slightly behind the times. The people of Eden were really smart this time, catching her in chrysallis form instead of normally. She woke up strapped down to a table, wings gone, antenae gone as well. They examined her for several days then released her into an empty room. Her wings quickly grew back, as did her antenae, and the callsign of Neuvox was bestowed upon her. Another mutant was locked in the room with her, and under the influence of a certain narcotic, she proceeded to rip his trachea from his neck. "I'm lying my way from you."

She slowly raised her shirt off over her head and threw it to the ground. As the others stared, she removed a thin needle from her chest and inserted it back into the handle of her willowblade. Lifé raised the weapon and sheathed it slowly. Then, in a simple movement, she returned her shirt to its former place and crossed her legs lazily. Lifé: What do you propose we do....ex-cleric? Vichante: I would appreciate it if you didn't call me that. Lifé: Save it for a mammal that cares. Ilmiwyrth: I'm a mammal that cares. Lifé/Vichante: Shut up. Vichante: What is there to do? Lifé: Go see the Dragourets. And Kryas maybe....if we're in the mood for lunch and to visit with a deadly Dorobo Witch. Vichante: Sounds lovely. Lifé: And her red wine stores are most excellent. Ilmiwyrth: This isn't the time for that! Lifé: Lordess Beastmaster would be very angry if we interfered with their plans anyways.... Vichante: And you know what they are? Lifé: Perhaps. Ilmiwyrth: ..... He stood up and slinked over to her, placing a hand near her body. She raised up her blade and screamed like a banshee. Instantly, the glass windows shattered and Ilmiwyrth clutched his hands to his ears. She stopped abruptly and sheathed the blade happily. Lifé: Keep your dirty hands away from me.

Lifé picked at her nails quietly. Jenica and Vichante would keep this up all night. And if they both thought she was ignorant....the better off she would be in the long run. Jenica watched Vichante, fingering the edge of her slingblade slowly. She could agree, then again she could disagree and beg her elder brother/lover for aid. Of course...Ochkik Haddah wouldn't be eager to help just yet....maybe later when the blood was running faster. Lifé stood up again and grabbed the jaw rope of Genitian. She swung him around and leaned on his neck. Vichante: ....well? Lifé: ......let him go. You have bigger fish to fry. Tam et tuvech leiar. Goss jachn reea. Jenica: .....then go. The demigoddess stepped aside and held up her hand. Vichante: ...what's the catch? Jenica: When you see the Dragourets, do not harass them. Lifé: I'm going with him anyways. He won't bother. Vichante: ......if you think any goddess will be interested in our conversation, feel free to speak with them. A smooth hand descended on his shoulder, stroking the side of his face. Then a sultry voice whispered into his ears. ????: But we're already here.... He turned to come face to face with Aerin Beastmaster. Behind her, he could see a glowing apparation that could've been Kai Mechery...and just beyond that Maeleani. She smiled at him sweetly and withdrew her hand. Jenica: Welcome. Now that we're here, I think the mortals can leave. Lifé: That we will. Come on you. Vichante: .......bîtches.

Javjene hissed and arched his back. She saw his muscles slowly tense, then leapt off Genitian's back and held up her staff. A warding device quickly flashed into being before them. Lifé sighed and pointed her left hand at Vichante. Lifé: You just had to mouth off. When we could've just gone on quietly... Vichante: Sue me. Lifé: I'd much rather stradle you. She jerked her right hand, the one holding the staff. The Javjene growled, but stopped moving. With a nudge or two, Genitian leapt forwards and flashed through the trees with blurring speed. Drystaarth was magnetically pulled after her, connected by a chain of energy. Vichante was about to protest the treatment when the forest abruptly opened again and they stumbled onto a huge body of water. Lifé pulled up short and jumped off Genitian's shoulders. Jenica: So.....you've arived. With a boy toy. Vichante: ..... .... .... Lifé: Not exactly.

They tell me that I'm not working, Up to my full potential. But it's none of their buisness, It's not their life. If they're right I'll figure it out eventually, Just not all at once. So get out of my face, Authority sucks. However if there were no rules, There would be no order. And if there was no order, What would there be? -
The wolfpack howled far off in the distance. Lifé reined in Genitian, cuped her hands around her mouth, and howled back. "We are very brave and strong, To resist us is to welcome death, Dhirak and Aerin guide our hands, Fear our power." Genitian's eyes rolled and smarted. Her voice seemed to fill the entire forest, more than the wolves ever had. Drystaarth screamed and reared wildly. The echoes died down and soon left the forest in comparative calm. She sighed and sat back. They wouldn't even think of letting their voices be heard again. She smiled and Vichante looked slightly annoyed. Vichante: Did you have to advertise our presence to the entire forest? Lifé: Considering K'Jenica is the mother of this territory, and she hates sneaking visitors, yes. Besides, they know we're here. Vichante: Prove it. Lifé: We're still alive. If they didn't know we were here, the wolves wouldn't speak. And the sprites wouldn't be tasting the hoofprints of Genitian. They would be chewing on his tail. Vichante: ....clever. Lifé: And by the way.......when the Javjene shows up, try to be somewhat polite. He was about to make some sort of smart comeback when the aforementioned spirit rose out of the nearby trees and uttered a low sort of moan. She smiled and held up a hand. The Javjene purred, then turned his flat shifting eyes upon Vichante.
-
She pursed her lips and waggled one finger in his face. Genitian moved quickly, faster than usual, eager to keep up with the creature before him. Lifé grinned to herself then adjusted her chain belt. Eventually, the silence was broken by the whisper of the walking trees. She glanced behind her. The spirits walked slowly, gently, followed by fleeting shadows of dryads and nymphs of all sorts. If Vichante noticed, he didn't care at all. Sprites followed the footsteps of the her horse, feeding on the energy displaced by him. Lifé: Life is beautiful. Vichante: You're dellusional. Lifé: No, I see flowers where others see weeds.

To Whom It May Concern... Due to a major increase in workload at school [college prep] and a major increase in a home situation... The personage known as Raiha will be taking a long trip into the real world to cleanse her mind and body and hopefully prepare herself for the final weeks of testing at school. She bids you all a fond farewell, and expresses her love and well wishes to those she knew, and those who knew her. [At least the nice ones anyways.] Until she returns, she would like to hope that her place here will be reserved. That includes her post count. For the people she wrote with, "Say goodbye. Say goodnight." And to a few women who know who they are, she offers the best of luck. There will be no further communication until September 2003. "Close your eyes, don't be afraid. Say your goodbyes, and then go away. Raiha. Salut......
