Nepenthe: Lazaza is in his temple...probably contemplating a hostile take over of the surrounding areas once more. Jenica: ...he won't come here. He's too afraid. Kato: What's to be afraid of here? The female werewolf smiled at him, showing all of her very white, very pointed teeth. Jenica: Because I am here....and when I am here, things happen to the forest that can not be rationally explained. Nepenthe: ...no kidding.

Lethe checked her steed, and he went into a cool smooth lope. She adjusted her spine to absorb the shock, and Laitina and she rode side by side...horses moving exactly together. Hardly a sound was made as the two continued in their ride.....the others watched quietly. Both horses were clean and smooth, without bridle, only halter. The two women scented for a change in the weather....and finding none, continued as usual. A cool chiming sounded in Laitina's head, and she turned to look at Lethe. "Are you afraid Laitina?" "No.....I know what has to be done." "Then smile."

The only sorceress in attendance sipped her wine lazily and looked at him sideways. Nepenthe: It would make you look like a military genius...and everyone else like a fool. He smiled broadly and clapped his hands. Lacroix: Exactly. Besides, any of you should be able to boast of aiding me in my victory. Nepenthe/Siren: Your victory......huh. Sure.

Nepenthe hunched her wings over her face and grimaced. Where to start.....Jenica shoved her playfully, and her wings disappeared into her back again. She straightened up and looked Kato in the eye. Jenica: As the Gaurdian and Keeper of this Forest....Nepenthe is going to explain her recent disapearance first. Now. Nepenthe: ....I went to see the Blue Mage. The one who has been locked in a self imposed cold sleep for thousands of years. I was hoping to wake him and get him to aid our fight against the Fire Witch King....but he refused. Siren: We had seen it coming, but there was no way to be sure. Nepenthe: He teased me and my ignorance....and I came back. The Blue Mage made no move to detain me, but he did play with me until it became uncomfortable. Kato: Play with you. Nepenthe: He forced me to touch him. Not in a terrible way, but his power made it impossible for me to refuse him. Jenica: Damn. The silence grew heavy, then Rinalph shifted his position and knocked another shelf over.

Lethe woke up...and some sort of sense led her to Cloud's room. She let herself in with a simple unlocking spell and walked to Cloud's bed. The salty smell of tears mixed with sweat, and the scent of sorrow. Lethe opened her arms, and Cloud burried his face and wept. She closed her eyes and stroked his hair gently....she knew why he cried.

Jenica smiled and nudged Siren out of the way. She held out a simple chalice full of a pre-mixed potion. Laitina turned her head away, but Jenica persisted. She grabbed Laitina by the head and forced the drink down her throat. The steaming liquid swiftly entered her system, and ran its course. Within moments, Laitina the drunk was replaced by Laitina the sober and embarassed. Jenica: How do you feel? Laitina: ...like a moron. Jenica: Relax, you're not the first. Siren: But they are rather intoxicating...aren't they? Nepenthe: Shut up Siren.

Serric laid Rae down on the bed and felt for her pulse again. Siren pulled out the IV and Jaudiar began to mix the proper drugs. Saline and a few other chemicals of her own design. She set it up and pulled out the hypodermic needles. She lightly inserted it into Rae's vein and set the drip mode. Rae stirred in her sleep and turned slightly. The women and Serric left quietly. Jaudiar: She'll be fine now. Siren: How many hours? Jaudiar: I'll give her 6....because her system works so easily...stretching seems to have it's own personal charm. Come on, let's eat. Serric: There's food? Jaudiar: Follow me.

Tinkerbell: It doesn't matter. Even if we are fighting blind, we can't let them take over again. You saw what they did to Leon and Yuffie. It won't happen to the worlds we've saved. Sora: You're right, but. ....we don't know enough. Tinkerbell: Then let's look. She lighted on Riku's shoulder and tapped the side of his head with her daggar.

She sighed and leaned back....mind going into the past that she had wanted sealed off. Lethe: I was born into a well placed family, and my privleges were many. And then there was Sephiroth. He came and killed my father before my eyes. He started after me, but my mother's magic performed a final protection spell before her own death. His deathblow went astray, and I lived. I tried to run, but it was too late. She opened her robes and slowly undid the leather lacings of her corset. A long healed, silver scar, traced down from her sternum, to her stomach. The scar curved like a snake and twisted underneath itself. Lethe: ...he gave me this. And smiled at me. Then he left.....that was his only mistake, but I'm going to make him pay for it. As soon as he was gone, I ran, and made it to the Cosmo Canyon. I trained with Red XII for a long time...and now I'm ready to fight back.

Lethe: It doesn't matter either way....we have to either destroy it or watch this world die. She sat down next to the others and sipped from her wine glass. Vincent stared at her....she seemed far too calm for all of this to be happening. She returned his gaze and a half smile played about her face. Lethe: What? Vincent: You aren't worried? Lethe: I've lost everything already.

She sighed and looked away. It was clearly a bad question, and it showed in her face. Aidian opened his mouth, then closed it again. Nepenthe picked up the dead rabbit and quickly put a protection spell over it, then set it down near a rock. They continued moving quietly....then it happened. A single buck leapt through the clearing and Nepenthe moved like lightning. With a swift thrust, she speared it through the chest and then cut its throat. It shuddered, and died without a sound. She knelt and dragged it by the rack. Nepenthe: Come on. Ambika is waiting. -

As he turned to go, Nepenthe stood up and leaned on her spear....then, as if on a whim, she followed him out of the cave. Jedah's short quick burst of laughter died away, as she turned and sent him a very clear message. Once out in the pouring rain, Nepenthe tapped his shoulder, and smiled. He turned and looked at her. Nepenthe: Are you ready? Aidian: Why are you helping me? Nepenthe: Because it's my job. Come on. -
She sat down easily and crossed her legs. With a smooth movement, she slid her robe to one side, exposing pale white skin. Flare watched her moving......half interested. She smiled at him and her eyes half shut... Nepenthe: It's not polite to stare. Flare: ....... Nepenthe: Hmmm. She smiled and leaned back. The glass of wine she had left was still standing, and judging by the smell, it was still good. She drank it in one gulp, and tested the stem.

The two women walked back into the cool stone buildings again and were led into a quiet resting room with water and towels. Lethe quietly washed her hands and face blind. She combed her hair and adjusted the band of crystal and silver in her hair. Laitina: How do you manage? Lethe: I'm used to it....it's not too much of a handicap, but I sometimes wish I could see. Laitina: Wherever we go, I'll tell you what there is to see. She smiled and touched Lethe's hand. Lethe grinned, then straightened her clothes. With deft movements, she straightened her robes and adjusted the greased leather for their ride.

Tinkerbell fluttered her wings and swiftly restored life to the party....moving quickly back and forth between the ranks. Boss fights were infrequent, but still incredibly draining. She landed on Riku's shoulder and winked at him. With a flick of her wings, she spread her fairy dust on his nose, then disapeared again.

Lethe: ...I have never been there. But my father says it's beautiful. The trees are blooming eternally, and the light is brighter than Varda's thousands of stars. Laitina: Do you think we'll ever make it there? Lethe: Of course. Some day. She smiled at the younger female and touched her face gently. She read her emotions as easily as her words, and treasured the young feelings.....they would not last long on their journey into the darkness. The Maiar and the Elf turned and stared into the light once more.

Ambika pulled back the trailing vines of jasmine and stepped inside. It was both clear and dry. She sat down and leaned against the smooth stone wall. Nepenthe tested the boundries...then automatically set up a ward and a De-spell charm. Then she sat down as well, staff resting in her lap. She smiled and closed her eyes. Nepenthe: Feeling better? Ambika: Just a little hungry. Jedah: ...I do not need to eat...to retain my strength. Nepenthe: Well this isn't about you now is it? Ambika's hungry...so go get her something. Ubber hunter. -
Lethe: Do yoy want to know why it's so secluded? Laitina: ...are you a mind reader? Lethe: I'm a Maiar halfbreed.... Laitina: Alright, why is it so secluded? Lethe: ...partially for defense. A building in plain view is begging to be overthrown or torn down. Even one as beautiful as this.... Laitina: ....and for offense? Lethe: Perhaps. I do not know the minds of the creators. She placed one hand on the smooth cold marble....testing it's strength from deep inside.

Aerith greeted them in the hotel and guided them to a larger room with several beds. Tinkerbell sat down on the banister, near Leon and Yuffie's seats. The conversation went back and forth, and the keychain was all but forgotten in Sora's hands. She closed her eyes and leaned back... Sora: What about this? He held up the half moon keychain. Aerith took it and examined the sides carefully. Aerith: This is from the light. Guard it carefully. Donald: You know.....It reminds me of the Oathkeeper...from Kairi. Sora: But who would send this to me? Tinkerbell: Somebody who wants to see you alive.

The two beings collided halfway down the hall. Nepenthe leapt back, spear out and ready. Tød also went back, but didn't make a move to attack. She paused, and stood up straight. Nepenthe: ...sorry. Tød: Sure....were you going to attempt to fight me? Nepenthe: It's nothing personall....those of the male gender have been bothering me lately.... Tød: I can see why. She looked at him, amused, and smiling. He wasn't afraid of death, that was for sure....

Tinkerbell shoved the Genie out of the way and entered first. Sora quickly caught up when he heard her strangled scream. Yuffie and Leon were in the alley, panting, bleeding..... She swiftly lighted on Leon's shoulder and restored his energy....terrified and trembling. Her magic was good, and they quickly recovered. The fairy landed on Yuffie's outstretched palm and smiled up at her. Yuffie: Thanks fairy. Tinkerbell: No problem....but what's going on? Sora: Why are all the Heartless coming back? Mushu: I thought we killed them all! Sora: ....musta been something we din't kill... Leon: Ansem is coming back.

The hybrid Maiar smiled and hummed along to the lilting tune. It was both to Varda the Kindlier, and truly...all of the Valar. She closed her useless eyes and leaned on her staff. Laitina tapped her shoulder. Her eyes opened again. Laitina: Do you know the words? Lethe: ...They are singing Varda's praises, hope for the future...and love of the Valar. Laitina: Do you ever want to go back to Valinor? Lethe: Some day. I have many things to do here...in this world of Woven trees and Tempered stone. She smiled softly and closed her eyes again. There was no need to dry out her eyes with watching for what couldn't be seen. She smiled and swayed slightly.

Her eyes glittered silver with anticipation, and she dropped into her own fighting stance....Sabirsing's energy slowly concentrated itself in her veins, then sped up her entire body. The blood began to flow faster and smoother, her heart sped up and her pulse began to flutter. Then she smiled. With a swift twist of her body, she arched to one side, doing a double ariel. Her left hand touched the ground twice, before she brought both up. The palm of her right smacked solidly against his chin, but not doing enough damage. Immediately after, she bent backwards, avoiding his punches, and turned to one side. Her right leg went down and she went into preperation again.

Tinkerbell flew slightly ahead, always mindful of the threat that could be. They didn't have long to wait. As soon as they stepped into the town, Shadows and Wyvern's leapt out at them. The fairy immediatly flew out of range and began to glow brightly. Sora: Let's go! Riku: ....no shît. She quickly began to restore lost Hp, not that there were too many hits, but it was good to keep strong for anything else.
