Siren: Oh that was not nice... Kinrade: No really, what is his connection to your sister? The female grounded out every word, her fingers clenching. Nepenthe: She is not only blind, but also wounded beyond all measure. Lacroix was once her love....for a night....and I was happy for her. Siren: ....I thought so. Nepenthe: So you tell that to Lacroix for me! With a vicious wrench on her spirit, she stood up and shook her head, water droplets spraying everywhere. She closed her eyes and breathed, before slamming the doors to the bathhouse and heading upstairs.

Nepenthe: I'm Vengance in a mortal shell....don't patronize me. Jedah: Mhmm... The others followed quickly, avoiding the stares and glares of the inn's patrons. Ambika groaned and they continued their quest. This was starting to become a pain..... Evil villans following and attacking them everywhere. No sooner had they cleared the forest, when it began to rain. Nepenthe was literally in her element, and went cartwheeling through the grass. Ambika: Nepenthe! Nepente: Huh? Ambika: ....nevermind. -
Tinkerbell flew out gracefully, spreading her wings and twisting in a slight corkscrew. The first thing they saw were the Rising falls.....moving continuously upwards....but never leaving. The group took a hold of their bearings...and looked around. No buildings yet. Tinkerbell flew over to Donald's shoulder and sat down on his head. Tink: ...no buildings. Donald: There'll be something!

From the rooftop, Lethe watched the men running like crazy. She flicked off her keen sight and headed downstairs once more. It wouldn't be necessary for a time. She brushed back her hair with long pale fingers, then went into the bar's main room and sat down. Tifa smiled. Lethe: White wine please. Tifa: How old are you again? Lethe: Well how old do I look? Tifa: ....16. Lethe: For the record, I'm 26. Tifa: ...oh...right. She smiled and brought over the glass. Lethe winked and sipped it slowly....savoring the taste. Out of the corner of her eye, she watched another man....from what she could feel, he wasn't happy. His eyes were flicking back and forth rapidly....like he needed to release something. Lethe turned and stared right at him, eyes flashing from silver to lilac.

Mmm, a stinging and most excellent insult is on the tip of my tongue...you might have already guessed it Mp....but I won't say it. Well Valik, if it makes you happy.... ~~~~~~~~~ Before any of the other fighters could attack, Nepenthe had vaulted fowards on her staff, body radiating energy. With a quick double swing and thrust, she knocked his face about, and drove the point through his chest. She dug in, then wrenched her weapon free, eyes shimmering with light. She touched down on one foot, lightly, and easily. Bazlik coughed up red blood, and groaned..... Nepenthe: ......Arigato. Fool. -
A cool saturnine voice broke into the cheering. ---: Then I'm sure, you won't be leaving this girl behind.... The group stopped and looked. A slender female was standing behind them, hair blowing in the wind, a simple staff of iron in her hands. She smiled at them gently and bowed her head. When it was brought up again, they noticed her insiduous silver eyes....watching them quietly. Cloud: Who are you? ---: You may call me Lethe. I've come to help you.... Blaze: Why would we need your help? That pile of rubbish over there was no big deal. Lethe: The time to fight for your life...will be soon in coming. You'll need somebody who can heal...and summon.
-
Lethe smiled broadly...this was the chance she had been waiting for. She stepped to follow the other woman.......unafraid, smiling. Fear was not an option. It would not deter her from her true goal. Lethe: Where the darkness goes, there I must follow.

The older of the two women smiled broadly, showing her feral teeth, and lilac tongue. Her eyes slanted slightly and she barely controlled her mirth. She and Siren knew eachother from far too long ago. Nepenthe: Salut Siren. You haven't been around to see me for far too long.... Siren: I have been very busy. Kinrade: Wonderful...another woman. Siren: Yes....hello... Nepenthe: Ah yes, this is Kinrade....he is, is possible, more violent than I. Kinrade: I killed to defend, you killed for your emotion's sake. Nepenthe: More for my maidenhead's sake.
-
Lethe waited patiently with the other three women. All of them had elf blood, and a certain skill with magic... But either theirs was slightly under developed, or Lethe's senses were betraying her. She shifted her grip on her staff and blinked slowly. The emotions in this room were so negative, she could feel the hairs on her neck starting to prickle. The voices were slowly stopping, and she took the oppertunity to raise her voice in in a clear soft melody. Lethe: Naina, Valariande, An i calwo ná firin, Ar elenu vinye Úsiluvar eldain. Nán i Raice na cuine. Everything was still, the words she had spoken were painful and true.....and her message was taken closely...even if it was only a fragment of the real song. Translation: Weep, Beleriand, For the hero is dead, And two new stars Will not shine for Eldar.

Jaudiar and Siren exchanged a glance that spoke nothing, but meant everything. Like twin whipcords, they flashed down the hall to the front doors. They were quick to find Rae collapsed on the ground. The men soon followed, and Jaudiar cradled Rae's head in her arms. She listened for a heartbeat while Siren felt around for a pulse. They found both and immediately relaxed. Serric: She needs to eat. Jaudiar: We need to get her to our room. I have the IV set in my closet. Matt: ...do you have a full lab in there too? Jaudiar: Partial lab....it's still missing the electron microscope. Siren: Come on!

BTW, it's Leon....not Squall. He changed his name, just like Aeris. ~~~~~~~~~~ Tinkerbell brushed back her thick blonde hair and adjusted her small daggar. She was ready. Goofy polished his shield, and Donand readied his staff. Sora grinned and raised his Keyblade to the sky. Sora: Let's do it! Tinkerbell: Oh yay... Genie: Wheeee!!!! Sora: Mhmm.... Mushu: Oh yes, oh yes! Let's go kick some major Heartless behind! Tinkerbell gave him a whithering look, and the one time guardian of the Fa family hushed up quickly.
-
Tinkerbell: .....nameless person, near a castle near the first building we'll see. I don't know about y'all... Donald: But I'd notice the castle first. Tinkerbell: Exactly. Goofy: So let's go then.
-
The only fairy present grimaced and smaked her hand to her forehead. This was borderline embarassment. The genie would never make sense to her....and she shook her head hopelessly. Genie: What is it Tink? Tinkerbell: You're crazy. Goofy: Weellll, you're both magical. Your magic's just...well... Donald: Different! Sora: GUYS! All: Huh? Tinkerbell: Um.....sorry.

AGHHHH!!! Can not read text when sqashed together!!! Must find the return indent button! *screams in agony* ~~~~~~~~~~~~` Tinkerbell: Who is it? She leaned over his shoulder intently, and unconciously spilled fairy dust over everyone. Sora laughed and waved her out of the way gently. He opened it, and the first thing he saw was a keychain. Sora drew it out, and examined it. It was silver, with a crescent moon hanging on the end. Tinkerbell: It's lovely.....what is it?

Nepenthe: There is a messenger of darkness downstairs. He laughed at me and Aidian...and Jedah was undisturbed by him. Ambika: ...is he the one we should fear? Or this whole place? Nepenthe: Witch Kryas would throw a fit. He has no power over her in this place. She reigns....and will be content to remain in such a place. Ambika: Does he match her? Nepenthe: No. Her allies here are too many. We best be on our guard, even if he is not an immediate threat. But don't worry. She smiled, half to herself, half otherwise. Nepenthe had no intention of starting something she couldn't finish with Jedah, and he deeply intrigued her. She sent this thought directly into Ambika's mind, the smiled again. -
Through the streets of Gondolin, a single female rode. Her horse was strong and clean limbed, his hair was of silver, and his eyes were dark. His mistress was tall and fair, but had a faint scent of flowers and light around her that many did not understand. Lethe smiled and looked around, sensing the emotions of the masses, and the fear that ran deep within them. She dismounted when the guard greeted her and she shook out her dress and smoothed the sleeves. Her staff was pressed into her hands and the guard led her by hand through the doors. Lethe centered her fear and hopes and walked down the hall, towards the table. Her steps were measured and steady, not betraying her inner turmoil. She heard their voices stop and all eyes turned towards her. It was then, that hers opened for the first time. They were silver, shot through with lavender, and it was obvious that she was blind. She held up her right hand in greeting. Lethe: Salut to you...King Turgon. I am sent of Beheurn, of the House of the Lost Play.

Nepenthe reclined gracefully...at rest....but clearly upset........animus... Ambika: Are you playing with Aidian? Nepenthe: ....no. I have no desire to. I only seek to give him a healing he will not find with anyone else. The leader was startled. The idea that she had no passion for Aidian was a new one. Then again.... Nepenthe was a child of Habeas Requiem. Obviously healing could be found...with her. Nepenthe looked at Ambika quietly, and a half smile was on her face. Jedah's thoughts drifted between the two of them....nearly palpable....almost audible. Nepenthe: I have nothing for Aidian but a close respect. Jedah will not toy with me as he toys with Aidian. Ambika: .....Do you plan on playing with the demon then? Nepenthe: Maybe. He is interesting. -

Nepenthe: If I meant to harm his soul...I would do so quite easily. But I do not wish to cause any pain to him. On the other hand...I will cause agony in your mind...with great glee I might add. Aidian: ....I feel so loved. She grinned at him and pushed him in the direction of the stairs. Then she returned her attention to Jedah. The nearby sylph held up a tray of wine glasses and she took one. She sniffed it experimentally...then sipped. Perfect...untainted. Jedah: You wish to kill me eventually? Nepenthe: Where would all the fun go...if you were dead? -

Nepenthe's eyes flickered, and she curled her lips dangerously. The laughter died away to a harsh gurgle, and the others went upstairs. She padded silently over the floor, raising her hand in greeting to more than three people...before coming outside to Aidian. She leaned on the rail next to him, and smiled. Nepenthe: Uneasy about going in there? I don't blame you. Dorobo witches aren't famous for their hospitality. Aidian: ...I can't go back....and I have to keep moving. Nepenthe: So let's do it, and not dwell on what we can not change. He looked at her soulfully, and she smiled gently. He stood up, and she held out her hand. Nepenthe: Then come inside. You must sleep. The warrior hesitated, then took it. Her hand was cold, but a feeling of calm rushing water blew past him. Her eyes glimmered and she kissed his cheek. Nepenthe: Come. -
It wouldn't surprise you in the least? Remember, she can sense emotion, even when it is surpressed...I have to make up for the lack of brute strength somehow... ~~~~~~~~~~ Nepenthe watched everything lazily....from her half opened eyes, everything appeared to be dull and subdued. Almost like the three gentlemen beneath her, choking and gasping for air through wounded tracheas..... From the rafters, she smiled, and almost purred...... Her staff waited in her hands, for some touch to awaken it from cold sleep. Kinrade: ...let me guess....they tried to take advantage of you. Nepenthe: You could say that. One of them just wanted a lap dance. Either way...... Kinrade: They pissed you off. Nepenthe: I suppose so. If given the choice, I would've probably refrained from using Black Numenorian magic....but when I get mad enough....it juat happens. She shrugged, and sipped the white wine she had purchased earlier. Not that human life held any great meaning for her.....humans were sheep, and she was a shepherd.

Nepenthe: Last of the dark kynn. My magical powers have been sealed for the time being...and I plan on regaining them. Kinrade: So you are not as strong as you could be. Nepenthe: For 800 years.....no. Not really. She gazed deeply into his eyes and her silver eyes seemed to bore into his own. He stared for several moments and the two seemed to share a swift undercurrent of power. The energy that was between the two was nearly visible, and it was smooth and flowing...like water. She smiled darkly at him and drew her fingers across her face in a graceful line. He followed her movements, half awake half asleep. Her body spoke of strength and grace, but not the brute type he was familiar with. Her rod glinted wetly in the torchlight, and she stood up. He blushed slightly. Apparently, casual nudity wasn't something she worried about.
-
He closed his eyes, and was drifting off into sleep, when he heard another shout and the sound of flesh ripping. The doors burst open, aided by the force of a human striking it, and Flare sat upright. A fully grown female Laporin was standing in the doorway, a hefty looking iron rod in her hands, blood dripping from an open wound on her cheeks. Nepenthe: Never do that again! Kinrade: ...by the hells.... The human groaned in pain, and the wound on his chest oozed with red blood. He winced as she advanced angrily. With a swift motion, she swung it around again, thudding into his face. Then she stepped over his body scornfully and pushed her hair out of her face. Nepenthe: Sorry. He was trying to take advantage of me.

Nepenthe: I suggest the Inn of the Lost Voice. Michael: ...I heard it was haunted. Jedah: Perfect... Ambika: How out of the way is it? Nepenthe: It's run by Dorobo witches, go figure. Ambika: I thought they had all died out in the War of the Mazuka's Age. Nepenthe: Not exactly. She smiled and followed the path set by the moving stars. The others silently followed. The Inn of the Lost Voice wasn't exactly perfect, but the beer was good, and the beds were even better. -
They did actually, in the House of the Lost Play, they did. Ever read the Lost Tales I and II? Morgoroth has many different varieties, I researched it in excess...because I found it so fascinating.
