Ambika: We are going where the stars go out. Nepenthe: Oo, Malkariss. Ambika: Eventually, yes. Aidian: The realm of the Nightmare Gods...I find that rather... Nepenthe: Daunting? Jedah: It sounds lovely. Nepenthe: Oh yes, this time of year, things are simply beautiful. She smiled again, bearing no resemblance to the aforementioned butter. -
Dulce et Decorum Est. I think it's a rather famous war poem from WW1....

Nepenthe smiled and continued moving. Not only was Ambika opperating on her true nature, she was also a strong reminder of her own past. Nepenthe's eyes glanced from side to side, and she couldn't keep the grin from appearing on her face. Her laughter sounded like running water. Ambika: Something funny? Nepenthe: By the gods....this is worth the aggrivation. Ambika: You don't like Jedah much, do you? Nepenthe: Aside from his rather dashing appearance, no. Jedah: I beg your pardon? The older of the two women glanced over her shoulder and winked. Then she looked forwards again. A strong undercurret of feeling rushed around the group, moving slowly and quickly at the same time. -
She smiled and blew a kiss in Liam's direction. Serric followed her movement, until she vanished into the shadows. Her voice was heard again from another direction, and he found himself looking into huge silver gold eyes. Jaudiar: Let's go then. And Liam.... Liam: Huh? She tossed him a deck of cards and a lighter. Jaudiar: For the trip! Then she turned and departed, the guards stepping aside quickly. The maniacle glint in her eyes warned them of the consequences if they didn't.

The slingblade on Nepenthe's hip glowed blue briefly, before showering her with a light shower of energy. It's own erthreal voice echoed around the group, "I am become death, shatterer of worlds." Jedah stared at the aquamarine, before glaring back into her silver orbs. Nepenthe: Our race is bound to die some day. And when that day comes, we shall go down in all the glory and pain we can possibly muster. It's what every Laporin dreams of. Jedah: Really now? Nepenthe: ...and I will never end up in your little "heaven." I know exactly where I'm going. And I relish it. -

Nepenthe smiled sardonically and straightened her body once more. Ambika pushed back her hair and looked at the shocked people. The older girl pointed her rod at the gates, and they shattered. Ambika: .....damn. Nepenthe: Your rage runs deeper than it did before Ambika. The younger girl's eyes flickered slightly. The bodies of the fallen guards littered the ground like confettie, and Nepenthe casually stepped between them....quiet, and calm. Being very easy. She came into Ambika's sphere of influence, and leaned on her staff casually. Nepenthe: You have blood on your face. Ambika: ...it was too strong to resist this time. Jedah: You're a monster. Nepenthe: ...you're one to talk. You damned Mazoku. If you have anything constructive to say, say it! Don't stand and judge. -

The sorceress raised her voice in a howling incantation, blue magic swirling around her staff. With a swift tap and a spin, she dragged it down, point first into the ground. Torrents of water burst up from the ground, swirling and sucking guards down into the unknown.... Nepenthe: ....Deep Surround.....has it's points. Michael: So anyone who stands in your way will be killed..... Nepenthe: Exactly. Ambika: Keep it up, we'll come around the back. Using a half magic, half physical assult, Nepenthe's body glowed blue before she leapt forwards, twisting her spear around until it was ready to throw. -
Nepenthe looked up from counting the bushel baskets and smiled. There would be plenty to throw in the wine press...and even more for cooking. Moving easily, she loaded up the cart and trudged back to the house. Jenica: Oy NETH! Nepenthe: What? Jenica: Get the cupboard's open and make another bed! We have company. Siren: And she's pretty drunk too. Laitina: Heuhg? Nepenthe: .....why me? Why me?

Maybe because I'm was then opperating on finals week? In which exhaustive exams with about 200 questions cover the entire span of what I've learned over the semester?

One hand balancing a basket on her hips, and the other brushing stray hair out of her eys....Jenica walked straight into the bewitched portion of the vineyard. There were several traces of something human, and the scent of alcohol. She followed the voices, and then looked down. Kato looked up....rather embarassed. Jenica: Well, good afternoon. Would you like to come inside and eat something more fufilling? Kato: Erm....we might have to carry my companion here. Laitina: Huh? Who's she? Jenica: You've been eating the red grapes.....

She prowled lazily around him...watching him carefully. He followed her movements, until, she brought her hands forwards and planted them on his shoulder blades. Light built up behind them, and she sent a surge of energy through his body, via the bones of his back. There was an audible crack as she knocked them out of, then back into place. He arched his body and turned around. Sabir: Oops. Arano: That....actually felt pretty good. Sabir: I think I over did it. Sorry. It's been awhile. He rolled his body to one side and stared at her. Sabir bowed apoligetically and tipped her staff to one side. Sabir: Awake?

Calling up the strength she had learned from her mother, she released the white energy from her hands. Sabir: Spirit Force! Tornait: Chaos Barrier. A black wall appeared around him, and Sabir's attack bounced off harmlessly, before whipping itself around and getting Tornait from the back. He hissed through his beak and flew out of range. Not only did Sabirsing's attacks obey her thoughts, they didn't seem to lose much power from it. Sabir curled her lip contemptuously. Sabir: Nice try hawk. Tornait: ...Look behind you girl. Her back automatically bent away, but by then it was too late. Black magic enveloped her body and she screamed. Tornait smiled and increased the power. Sabir moaned, but didn't cry out for him to stop. Instead, she used the mental conditioning from her childhood and willed the power back into her mind. Ignoring the stabbing pain lancing through her body, Sabirsing launched herself forwards at Tornait, staff in her hands. She unleashed a furious comination of blows and slashes acrost his body before Tornait let loose, and the blackness took her. She sat up, rubbing her head ruefully. Tornait: You're funny. Sabir: You're cruel and unusual. Tornait: You wanted to fight. Sabir: I wasn't expecting a one sided fight. I was hoping for something fair. He merely smiled at her in that infuriating way, that pissed her off to no end. Then, without warning, disapeared, leaving Sabir with a rather injured pride, and a testy mood. Sabir: ....damn him. The doors opened again, and she leaned on her staff casually. It was Arano, rubbing his eyes and yawning...showing all of his teeth in the process. Sabir cocked an eyebrow and smiled Arano: What the hell are you doing up so late? Sabir: I like the night....it's when the freaks come out.

Nepenthe cast a wary eye over the left corner of the vineyard. It was rather shadowed.....Jenica must of casted another spell against intruders. Jenica: What's wrong Neth? Nepenthe: You bewitched the red grapes...didn't you? Jenica: Yeah, so? Nepenthe: Does this mean we won't be having any really good red wine this year? Jenica: Well, let me take a look...and I'll get back to you on it.

The shadow golem disapeared, and with it went the brute strength of Nepenthe. Instead, she drew her slingblade, covered in silver lines....and advanced. Blight growled and prepared to attack, but it was too late. She hissed and slid back, before whipping her body around in a tight circle and letting the blade fly. It caught him in the shoulder, and he wrenched the burning blade free. Nepenthe caught it by the hilt, as he hurled it back at her. Once it was resting in her palm, she clicked the blade back into her sheath, then smiled. Nepenthe: Remember my name. You'll be screaming it a thousand times before your true death. With that said, she glanced around the others still fighting, then vaulted away on her staff. There was nothing left she needed to do at the time....couldn't aid the others until later. Blight watched her go, but didn't follow. His master had not ordered it. She bowed out gracefully and kissed the wind one last time. Kryas would come back some day.

Nepenthe watched the area around her. Something didn't feel right. She followed Ambika and the others....then snapped her head around and glared up. Michael....his name. She could tell. She waved a hand to him and gave a jerk of her head, indicating that he should follow. The overseer of Reality looked at her and smiled slightly. Nepenthe: Keep moving Ambika...I'll take care of our shadow. Ambika: ....good. She barely moved her lips, but she could almost see Ambika's face. Michael leapt down and landed easily. Nepenthe brought out her staff and tipped it at him in an old fashioned bow. -
You didn't think you were going to slip this beauty by me now...did you? ~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Nepenthe Sevenstar Race: Laporin with a seal on her greater powers for now. Age: 800 Bio/History: Born as the daughter of Habeas Requiem, Nepenthe roamed the earth from the time she could hold her head up. Her mother refused to speak with her, and her sister, Lethe was terribly busy with the duties of the eldest daughter. Nepenthe was not angry at Lethe's busy state, but wished she had her own companion. She took to wandering to escape the twisted harsh lifestyle she was born into. At the age of 21, her physical powers developed to a large extent, but she knows that with her build, she will never be as powerful as the others she may encounter. That is where her magical energy takes over. At her first 100 years, her magical strength became her greatest power and she used it to not only survive, but get her way. This life continued for a time, until her older sister sealed her destructive magicks until they could be better controlled. Nepenthe accepted her punishment, but was resentful. About this time, her father came back and murdered Lethe and Nepenthes' mother....then destroyed Lethe's sight. Nepenthe was enraged, but powerless. This led her to devote her life to become stronger and wiser. She now is a formidable sorceress, even without her powers. It is enough that she can manage the basics of magic, and with every year that passes, a little more of her power is released. Her search for knowledge is also what keeps her moving forwards. Description: See attatchment Equipment: The usual iron staff, with cherrywood. Reason for being at The Post: To avenge her mother, and pick up any information the people have on him. And to also find a cure for her sister.

The two women watched her, and the place she was last seen....and Sil smiled to herself. Then she opened Selene's book again and flipped a few pages forwards and backwards. Selene: You don't look surprised. Sil: Everyone here has some kind of problem. Selene: What about you? Sil: ...I killed my mom when my powers first showed up, but I didn't get the one who forced me to do it. I will do it some day, and make that scum curse the day he set foot in my mother's house. Selene: .......you aren't sad about it then. Sil: No. I've let her go, and I'm not going to let her murderer go. With leather covered fingers, she pushed back the thin strands of black hair in her face, and looked down again.

Jaudiar: .... She wasn't terribly surprised. Adam had never really shown up to their missions until the very end. And somehow, they were always traced back to ....dead ends. A series of images rushed through her eyes. And she frowned with confusion...which quickly gave way to annoyance....which quickly spiraled down into absolute fury. She clenched her teeth and balled her fists. Jaudiar: ...I am going to destroy him. Rae: ...you have no family ties, that actually sounds pretty good to me. Commander: And you are tied to Lidan's family, in Guanzhou? Jaudiar: Yes. You read the files Ananda threw at you? Commander: ....yes I did. Jaudiar: Then let me go. I can handle it. I have to deal with this by myself. Not only has Adam pulled the cowl over my head, he has also masterminded the pain given to Liam. He had nothing to do with this. The head office, simiply put him in there. And you now need to use him as a scapegoat. I've had it up to here. Her eyes were now sparking a golden yellow, and her hand was raised above her head. She growled deep in her throat and gave the Commander a look that shook him from head to toe. Liam: ....sounds good to me.

Nepenthe chuckled. It had nothing to do with the secrets told, but eveything to do with body language and senses. With every mention of the words of Adesto and Danomoris....anger grew inside of her. Nepenthe: So sorry. Ambika: No you're not. Aidian: ....are we going to go then? Ambika: Of course we are. Nepenthe leaned on her staff easily and watched the antics of the group. The Mazoku was quiet, and she glared at him, half teasing, half interested. -
Jaudiar, Rae, and Siren watched him go. They sighed quietly....as a collective. The three stood up and stared at eachother. Siren: I'm going to go make a phone call. Rae:...I'll go with you. Jaudiar, you know best. Jaudiar: Neh, not really. But I'll try. She stretched and massaged her temples. Life was a pain. A big pain. She stood up and followed Liam's path, running silently on her toes. It wound through the guards, out the lobby, down the stairs, to the corridors deep beneath the ground. She followed quietly, melting into shadows and such. The door opened for them, and she followed quietly. Once inside, the door clanged shut, and Jaudiar leapt to the darkest corner. And there, she waited. Commander: ...well then Liam. Liam: .....what? Commander: Stealing a card? Killing people without orders? He stopped his tiraide and looked into Jaudiar's corner. She stood up slowly, and walked over to the desktop. She stared at him with the insiduous eyes of her family. Jaudiar: Don't lie to him. We've had enough of that.

She smiled and stared at the sunset for a moment. A few dark memories pounded their way through her skull, and she ground her teeth silently. A bright sun, a reminder of her past. She looked at Xy, like she couldn't see him, and turned and ran back into the Sanctum. He followed her retreat, but said nothing...to call her back. As she ran, she held out her arm and whispered a few well chosen words. Tornait appeared in a river of black energy and stared at her. Tornait: Why did you call? Sabir: We are going to train. And I am not going to let this damned bloodlust take me over. Tornait: Finally.... Running down the hallway at full tilt, she slammed herself against the door and it gave. She tumbled into another training room, and concentrated. Tornait brushed the door shut, then flapped across the room and expanded to his full size. His body became that of a humanoids, but he was still, unmistakeably Tornait. Huge wings, blacker than the blackest pitch. Golden eyes, brighter than the brightest sun. And a soul of pain, more painful that anything else. Sabir growled and snarled. Her teeth bared themselves, and her body rippled. Energy collected around her body and her hair flew out behind her. Sabirsing brought her hands fowards, fingers slightly curved inwards, and eyes half shut. Tornait smiled to himself.
