Sabirsing quietly took out her staff, and drew the sharpened point across her wrist. Bright blue blood oozed up, then caked over. Tornait watched her eyes....they remained calm. But her lips tightened and she bit down hard. Her eyes flickered red, then went back to silver. The hawk looked at her again. She was completely calm, mouth relaxed. Tornait: Did it hurt? Sabir: No, not my wrist anyways. The force of mind is there, but it hurts me.

He sighed and groaned. Life is Wonderful? What a pushy dame. Rinalph: It's not fair... Jenica: Stop comlaining. Siren: Hey look! The two younger people turned up and looked to where her claws were pointing. A huge flare of magic swooped up, ....not from any human, but from the forest itself. Immediatly, Jenica ran into the house and grabbed her slingblade from the weapons rack. Rinalph adjusted his armour, and Siren flexed her wings experimentally. Jenica: Could it be Nepenthe? Siren: It's too close by. My guess is the sylph got to some poor defenseless beasts. Rinalph: ...let's go then. The young female quietly closed her eyes and let her spine crackle and snap. Immediatly, she reformed from a human into a full blown loup garou. She shreiked and howled, rearing onto her hind legs. Siren jerked her head, indicating her back, and Rinalph climbed on carefully. The three leapt off into the trees, moving quickly.....

There was another swift swish, and this time, Craig whirled around and caught a long bone bladed knife in his three fingered hand. He looked around for the perpetrator, and found himself staring into a pair of intense silver eyes. He gazed into them, before he found that the knife had already been plucked from his grasp. Sil: So you are as good as they say. Craig: Huh? Oh....yeah. Sil: I'm Sallalia Moon Chaser, but you can call me Sil. She extended one gloved hand, and he shook it, one eyebrow raised. Somebody who looked like her...wearing gloves, covering her entire body with leather. The older of the two smiled then quietly flew out of the room, leaving behind a scent of roses. Once outside the cafeteria, she flew right past Siren....who glared at her. Siren: Already making your mark? Sil: What? Harmless flirtation on my part. Siren: Harmless....peh.

Errr, are we talking about the hut we're in right now Lacroix? Cuz if we are, I'm sure Kryas will have a few things to say about her barging in.....

Ganthor swept her up onto his back with one wing and she allowed him to baby her. But not for long. As soon as he wasn't looking, she pointed her fingers at him from under Ganthor's neck, and whispered a few well chosen words. There was a large explosion of purple light, and then Lacroix found himself covered in huge purple blossoms. Nepenthe immediatly put her hands behind her back and whistled a simple tune....ears perked fully. Nepenthe: Awwww, how cute! Little four armed maniac is playing dress up with pretty flowers! This time, the object of the group's laughter switched from her to him, and she took the oppertunity to wing upwards, out of range. Then she reclined on his back, and waited for the fireworks to start.

Thoughts slowly began to disaper from her mind, and she focused on the Spirit stone. It hovered in the air, held aloft by a black pedestal. She sighed and rotated her ears back until she could hear nothing but the sound of her own breathing. All movement around her slowly came to a halt.... Tornait felt like he was slowly suffocating, even though it was impossible....and he rustled his wings. The noise he let off was as loud as if he had bated... Sabirsing paid no attention, and simply increased her concentration. If she was going to relax and figure out exactly what had happened to her....it was giong to be now. Several minutes later, she had bypassed the mundane, and was finally in the astral plane. A pure white void, with no begining, and no end. She stepped out, and pressed her hands together. She felt like she was still in the ethric, but it was obviously not so. Centering her energy, she called out. "Raiha." A voice came back to her, the sounds lighter and softer than before. Sabirsing called out again. Even louder.... This time, something changed. A shimmering of light came from within the void and Raiha herself stepped out. Her form was the exact same, but the silver crown had been replaced with a filgeree of 7 stars. She gazed upon her only daughter and the two were quiet for a long time. Raiha: Why have you called me? Sabir: What did you do to me? Raiha: I had to save you from the Ending. I trasnsfered your starseed into Cinoiris and sent him to Punhar. The rest you know. Sabir: ...I have the bloodlust. Why? Raiha: It's a mix of your father's blood, and mine. You are more Sayjian than I was, and you will have the strength of body I never posessed. You need to use it to your advantage. And when you do....your bloodlust will be replaced with something else. Sabir: I can't fight. I'll either kill or be killed. Raiha: You need to force your willpower upon yourself. Tornait can help.......more than he knows. Do not contact me until it is mastered....I can not help you again until then. Her form disapeared into the white nothingness, and Sabirsing drew back into the real world, both terrified and upset. Her mind was a jumble of thoughts and memories that were not her own...and it wasn't fair. In the ethric, her feelings of the bloodlust were unlimited, but in the astral, she knew exactly what was going on, and didn't need to strain to keep herself under complete control. Tornait: You need to work on your force of mind then....if you're going to overcome this. My cure was temporary. Sabir: I can not control it. Yet. But I will.

A few hour later, Sabirsing woke up, eyes focusing slowly. She rubbed them, then touched her face experimentally. Nothing seemed to have changed. Tornait...wait...was his name really Tornait? Yeah, it was Tornait. Tornait: Hello. Sabir: ...hi? Tornait: Did it work? Sabir: Huh? Tornait: Oh dear...well, there's only one way to find out. He hopskiped forward and bit down on her hand savagely. She yelped and jerked away, blood splashing on the ground. She nursed her hand, glaring at him venemously. Sabir: That hurts! He cocked his head to one side, then his eyes closed and he swooped into the air, winging around swiftly, doing several victory rolls and dives. Tornait: YAY!! It worked! I rock! I am number one!! WOHOO!!! She scratched her head, and looked at him sideways. Sabir: Um...did I miss something? Her fingers touched the back of her neck, and encountered raised ridges. Where had they come from? She looked in the bathroom mirror. Then shook her head. She must be losing it. Tornait: Do you remember anything before this? Sabir: I was fighting you, then you knocked me out. And I saw Punhar...and all that other stuff. Tornait: Ahah....it did work. I think I deserve a treat. Sabir: ...for....living?

Sabirsing's ears twitched and Tornait immediatly took his beak off her ear. With slow deliberate steps, she walked down the hall into the Gravity area. Tonberry shook his head hopelessly. Tornait: Looks interesting. Sabir: Let me guess.....a macho thing posessed him. Tonberry: Nice theory. I don't know. Cactaur: Well, at least you won't have that problem. Eh? Sabir: Well, aside from a fit of wild recklessness that takes my mind over when my blood is drawn....no. Not really. Tornait snorted and she smiled at the two masters. She waved and walked back to her dorm room. The desire to train had been extinguished for the day. Once inside, she casually locked the door, then crawled into her bed and closed her eyes. Tornait perched on the endtable and waited. For a long time. She opened her eyes and looked at him. Sabir: Can you block a part of my mind? Tornait: ...I've never tried. You've got to remember, I'm young...younger than your mother. Sabir: ...I'm gonna die. Tornait: I can try. Before she could protest, black light enveloped her and surrounded her face. She opened her mouth, but the darkness filled it...and she closed it.

Kryas turned and phased out of the room. Happy, and comforted for the sake of her neice. Once outside, she looked down. The spirit of an ethric was rising upwards. A woman with a peaceful smile on her face. Kryas saluted gently and then continued down the hall. Nepenthe: Kuso. Siren: ....What now? Nepenthe: Mind your own buisness MOTHER. Siren: I wouldn't be your mother if you paid me. She looks around suspiciously. Nepenthe: How much?

*breaks down into fits of hysterical sobbing* It's not fair!!!

Nepenthe clenched her teeth together....the grinding noise audible. With cramped steps, she walked right up to him and slashed her wrist. Bright blue blood poured out onto the ground, and she passed her hand over it. The flesh knit back together swiftly, and she smiled at him. Nepenthe: Denial? ...one of the things that sets me apart from humans is my lack of oxygen. If I needed it, I would be human. Lacroix: Was this a family thing? Nepenthe: It's a Sacred Triune thing. She smiled at him and pointed at her jagged ears.....

In the stunned silence of the aftermath, hollow laughter was heard coming from above him. A slightly sarcastic smile on her face, and heavy lidded eyes.....her hands clapping together mockingly. Lacroix bowed low and smiled back. Ganthor landed in a flurry of dust and smoke, then folded his wings, revealing Nepenthe once more. Nepenthe: ....Most impressive.... Congratulations on your completely insane behavior and cocky demeanor. Lacroix: Any time. Alqwerik: I'm starting to like this human.... A vein in Nepenthe's face twitched, and she clenched her fists. Her breath came in gasps and the blood in her face rushed blue. Nepenthe: What did you just say? Ganthor: Stop drop and roll Alqwerik....save yourself. Lacroix: What's wrong? Are you in denial? Nepenthe: ....How dare you compare me to one of them.......nothing could be further from the truth. Did I call you a lizard?!?

Flashing a cruel smile, Jaudiar cracked her knuckles and pulled out her cell phone...Siren and Rae stared. Siren: What now? Jaudiar: Yeah, is Ananda there? Cool. Okay, could you get her for me please? ???: Sure thing. *crackle* Jaudiar: *covers phone with hands* If he's the Devil, there's only one thing to do about that. Rae: And that is...? Jaudiar: Hey Ananda! It's the hellcat. Look, we've got a madman coming for his madman father...could you help me out here? Cool. See you in a few minutes. Rae: Madman...I would prefer Kleptomaniac, but this will work. Siren: Who's Ananda? Jaudiar: It's my big sister! She's dangerous....in her own way. Rae: What is she going to do? Jaudair: Boot Nicholas's guts through his backbone, that is if he has any guts. Siren: ...there's always a meaner devil... In less than ten minutes, most of which were spent explaining the family tree of Sevenstar family.....Ananda appeared holding a rifle and several clips. Ananda: Sup? Siren: ...how did you? Ananda: Teleportation from place to place. It's a family failing....come on, point me in the right direction, and it'll be done with before there's any bloodshed.

Honestly my dear Lacroix, you make me wonder if your illess affected the left and right halves of your brain. And damaged a few nerves... ~~~~~~~~ She smiled and leaned back in her bed. Like her sister, their smiles were almost never real. He would have too much to handle on this night, and Kryas would thank her later. The old Dorobo witch stood up and slid into Nepenthe's room, no locks undone. She sat down on the table and waited. Nepenthe: He killed his mother. Kryas: I figured. I dare not let him look again...but our options are very limited. Nepenthe: You think Arikel is strong enough to fight the rising threat? Kryas: I believe so. Your group has a certain resilience of character that I haven't seen in eons....I think it will save you. Just don't lose the will to live. Nepenthe: I never will Kyras. I promise. Kryas: Good.

Somehow, the truth rose clearer than before......Nepenthe's eyes flickered, but she didn't say anything. She knew what it was like to hate the self. A curse he possesed, and it had shown up in the worst possible way. So he had killed her. Could've been worse. Nepenthe: Do you know what pain is? Damien: ...how could you ask me something like that? Nepenthe: Do you know what it is like to be despised by the one who should love you? Damien: ....my mother loved me. Nepenthe: Then you are far more lucky than I am. Damien: Why's that? Nepenthe: My mother despises me. Her destiny was to give birth to one child. My older sister. Lethe. She is joy, hope, light, everything I am not. Mother was not supposed to also give birth to another daughter. Chaos, despair, fear, and deception. Damien: And you are the second child....and she hates you for it. Nepenthe: She has no reason to, other than the fact that she can't accept me. She was pure. But somehow, she was not so very pure... And it isn't like her to sleep with any stranger that passes by, especially one like Habeas Requiem. He looked at her. Truth, complete truth. Well, that explained a good deal. Why she was the way she was. Any child of the Deathless Dragon would turn out like her...no matter how pure the mother was. Nepenthe looked at her feet. Nepenthe: I have nothing to hide. I used to hate myself, but with my sister, I found the balance between darkness and light. Of course, I have a tendency to turn aside, but that is acceptable for someone like me. Your actions are acceptable for you. Damien: ......I do not want to love myself. Nepenthe: Then give yourself. She stood up and walked out the door.

Sabir: ...you're saying I can summon her now. Tornait: It's a theory of mine. Mechery herself never summoned one of her stars into battle. She doesn't know either. For all her divine knowledge...this was a never explored region. Sabir: Shut up. Loloth never tried either. If you're going to point an acusing finger at a goddess, do it without four of them pointing back at you. Tornait: I don't have any fingers... Sabir: Must...control....Fist of death.... The hair on her neck bristled, and Tornait quickly ducked out of range. He grinned and waggled his wings at her. Sabir: So now that you know not to draw my blood....shall we fight again? Tornait: .....well, you're the first hybrid Laporin I've ever seen go into a bloodcraze. I have to ask Master Tonberry about this. Mostly because...I've never heard of anybody but perhaps a beast demon go into one. Sabir: Yay...I'm so excited. *deadpan expression* Rising to her feet, she shook back her short hair and drew out her staff. She leaned on it, then trilled at Tornait. He immediatly lighted onto her shoulder and nibbled on her ear. Sabir: I'll give you ten seconds to take your beak off of my person.
-
She smiled wickedly, and spun her knife between her fingers. Rae held up her hands, surrenduring quickly. The oldest girl smiled and chugged her Coke in less than 10 seconds. Jaudiar: You're very lucky I like you. Otherwise I'd be booting your guts through your backbone. Rae automatically put the bed between them and grinned....blinking huge puppy eyes at her. Rae: Aren't I adorable? Siren: *snort* Yeah,.....just like a fish. The pillow came carrening out of control into her face before it could be dodged. The three of them roared at the same time. All: PILLOW FIGHT!!!!!
-
She sighed and hummed to herself. Words chasing her quickly through the corners of the mind she had inhereited. Always singing themselves, never ending. Tornait clacked his beak against her shoulder gently and lighted on her knee. Tornait: I could try to heal you...but it might just fail. Sabir: Go ahead. I'm all for self inflicted suffering, but this is starting to be a pain..... He touched her mind with his, and opened a psi link between them. Energy poured from her to him, and the spirit stone on her chest went ballistic. It began to hum and vibrate, rising from her chest to hover above her face. The gaurdian of the void stopped immediatly and broke the connection. Darkness swirled around her body, neither painful, nor frightening. She sighed and rose to her feet. Energy around her was stronger than before, pain was gone, blood had dried to a blue crust, easily brushed away.....and she felt fine. She twisted her fingers around her wrists experimentally, then bent backwards until she was staring at the wall behind her. Tornait: I'm a genius! Sabir: Oh shut up. You'd take credit for inventing the wheel if Loloth let you. Tornait: Oh can it. Just because Loloth is happy in the Halfplane, Henisa is satisfied with letting Cinoris represent him....and Mechery is in Punhar's atmosphere...doesn't mean a thing. Sabir: And what about Him? Would He let you take the credit? The miniature hawk looked away. Painful...biting words. The darkness of her father, and the sarcasim of her mother had clearly brought this to her. Only the agression supressed in her dam had woken this time....and her father's was in full force. A bad combination. Sabirsing ground her teeth together in fustration. Tornait grimaced and flew to her shoulder. She held up one hand, and he walked onto it carefully, talons retracting. She stroked his long tail feathers gently, and his calmness flowed back into her. Tornait: Don't worry. Mechery won't let Him continue. Sabir: He is more than enough to destroy the Sacred Triune combined. Tornait: But there are several ways to defeat him....and they haven't been fully explored. I was sent here to see what could be done with you. Your mother surpassed Ananda, amazingly enough....and the Sayjian from your father will give you the strength she lacked. We will find a way.

Nepenthe changed her tunic again, to something more suitable for a stay in the house of Kryas... Greased leather and a belt of silver. She brushed her hair thoughtfully, and braided it back once more. Damien was sending out an aura of pain large enough to rock the foundations of the house...and Kryas was not the only one who could tell.....he would need to be watched. She set down her hairbrush and sighed. Moving slowly, she opened the door and stepped into the hall. The mirror shimmered on the table, and beckoned to her. She picked it up and gazed into the fathomless dark. It swirled around her, and pulled her mind in. Nepenthe stared for what seemed like hours, until the light broke again. Her mother appeared, fully glorified, staring right at her. Nepenthe opened her mouth partially, then closed it again. "Why do you seek me child?" "Why do you hate me mother?" "You are my darkness. You should have never been." Her anger rose and she slammed the mirror down into the table again. Then she turned and unlocked Damien's door with her fingernails. It clicked, and opened for her. She walked in and sat down next to him. Nepenthe: You looked at the mirror and saw your mother.... Damien: Who told you? Nepenthe: You did. Kryas merely Sent me your thoughts, and I figured it out for myself. I looked into it as well. My mother stared at me....and that look on her face, still hasn't changed.

The magic halted, and Ganthor wheeled around, waiting for the smoke to clear. It did. And the both of them cursed in drow. It was still alive....the Libertine shuriken had gone into it's chest, but that didn't mean anything.....she missed the heart, and the attack from Ganthor had only dropped his defenses ever so slightly. Lacroix: Oh dear... He had that look on his face again. The half sarcastic, half mysteriuos look she had gotten used to. She smiled at him and did a mock cursty. Ganthor grinned, showing all of his teeth, and dipped his wings in a false tribute. Nepenthe: If convential and magical attacks won't work....then what do you propose? Lacroix: Good question...I think I know. "Then what, my dear Lacroix...should we do? Use your divine knowledge and save us." Nepenthe jerked on the hatler warningly, and he stopped. She hissed through her teeth and her thoughts went back to her mother. If she was summoned, the battle would be over before anyone could move. But she would never willingly do anything for her darker child.

Tornait: I would heal you.....but that's not what I am. Sabir: ...how comforting. Then tell me, what you are. Tornait: The void. Her head began to throb, and she grimaced. Just what she needed; another damned riddle to solve. Then again, Tornait could not lie any easier than Cinioris could. But he couldn't be literal. Or could he. She quietly ticked off what she knew of the blessed beasts. Chiri Cinoris of the five Winds, a Eagle. Symbol of Tai Henisa... Laird Gan of the rose Dawn, a Horse. Symbol of Tai Mechery... and Lee Sayi of the forever Night, a Dragon. Symbol of Loloth. There was no way he could be the void. That was Lee Sayi's job. Unless... She swore to herself. Sabir: Please tell me He didn't chain Lee Sayi. Tornait: Sad but true. Sabir: ....what happened? Tornait: She was in the Sundering Seas...her domain, when He decided the time had come for He to break loose and get her back. When the darkness concentrated and the universe ended and began again...He was freed. Sabir: Then what do I do? Can I free her? Tornait: Of course not. Don't be a fool. You will never defeat Him. Not now. Your task is simple. You must unlock the door between you and your mother. Then you need to free Lee Sayi, and let them take care of the rest. Sabir: I can do nothing then. He looked at her quietly. Eyes flickering ever so slightly. Then he clacked his beak and looked away. And closed his eyes. Smiled. She propped herself up against the wall and waited for her body to regenerate.

Having said that, Ilekea stood up abruptly and looked behind her with sightless eyes. Her hand automatically went up and her lips prepared a dark spell. The Chancillor knew he would not be able to fight her back at the moment, and disapeared back where he came from. Ilekea had seen him, and his folly had been large enough to where Riana saw him as well. Ilekea turned and sat back down. Ilekea: Not to boast, but you see what I mean now. Riana: Is he another one of those power hungry antagonists? Ilekea: ...I understand you have many in your world. Riana: Yes, unfortunately. We have more, but alot of us are like that without even realizing it. The smooth skinned preistess stood up and held out a hand. Riana stood as well. She smiled at her softly. Ilekea: I need to go now. And you need to find a permanant home. You can not go to the temples of Loloth. Ever. Riana: Why? Didn't the initiation? Ilekea: I consecrated you to the Trinity.....not to Loloth himself. Many make that mistake. But you need to go to another for guidance. Riana: ...one of the other preistess? Ilekea: Yes. Her name is Trini, and she is the preistess of Mechery. She will help you gain the power you need to live here.

Raiha replied to ~Mystical Pan~'s topic in Theater
Naww, it won't. It'll be an interesting way to introduce other people. Our team would be incomplete until then, and we would have to survive without others. It would be character building. And yes, I love my RPGs, all 20 of them. ;) -
She said nothing.....her mind had gone blank. With the loss of her bloodcraze, her former judgement had returned. Tornait sighed and lifted both his wings. Dark energy surrounded the both of them and he carried her down to the main entrance....still unconcious. Once there, he perched beside her and shrank down to his normal size. As soon as she woke, he could see her reaction...his shape would have nothing to do with it. Inside a memory, Sabirsing raced through the long streets and pathways of Punhar. She didn't belong. Punhar wasn't for people like her. She wasn't supposed to be born there. She wasn't supposed to not have a mother. It wasn't fair. Cinoris yelled something after her, but she ignored it and continued running. Finally, she hit a stone wall and curled up in the corner. He caught up and landed next to her. "Do you really want to go?" "I wasn't made to live in heaven. My life is too heavy." "That isn't your fault." "Even if it isn't...I do not want to stay. If you make me stay here, I'll leave by other means." "You can't kill yourself.... and you can't make the quantum leap." "Do you want to watch me try and fail? I'll do that right now." He held up a wing, and she paused in her movement. "No. Mechery told me that you should go. And I agree. Are you ready?" She nodded. He dipped his wings to her in a farewell salute, and eveyrthing went black. In the present, Sabirsing jerked upright, eyes wide open. She looked at Tornait next to her, then collapsed back down again. Tornait: ....what did you see? Sabir: I had a Sight dream. She tried to speak more, but the only thing that came from her mouth was blood. Her hand immediatly flew to her mouth, and she curled up.

Arogyth quietly slunk behind the group and hid his face. Nepenthe turned and shook her head at him despairingly. Nepenthe: If you don't want to come, eat, rest, and be restored....you could just leave. Kyras: That's alright. I want to see if he is really still the same. Everyone except Nepenthe gasped. A old woman was standing before them. Her hair was long and silver, and her skin was dark and unaturally smooth. In her hand was a long polished staff of ebony, and she was dressed in a simple black tunic. She smiled at Nepenthe and bowed to the rest of the group. Kryas: My name is Kryas. Feel free to stay as long as necessary. My magic will protect you from anything that comes our way. The group, including Arogyth walked in quietly. Once inside, the house seemed to reform and swirl around. Siren looked around expectantly, only thinking to find a few small rooms. Instead, there was a long corridor with many doors leading to many chambers. Siren: Wasn't this just a... Kryas: Don't worry. It's all part of the house. Arikel: An illusion from the outside? Kryas: Of course. Now then. Go to your rooms and get cleaned up...then follow the wall sconces to the dinning room.
