Yes, sorry. Too late.....closing time. Lalalalalala. And one more thing though....others will come. But only as the antagonists of this fair tale. I've contracted two gentlemen so far, and one more will be soon in coming. Fear not.

Writing Today's Poem [M -- As a Precaution]

I tried once more, Summoning my broken pride, Forcing myself to listen to the voice, The voice that told me I could do better. Sing for me again. So I did, The lines coming back to me, And it was good, Very good. You are everything you need to be. Are you sure I am everything I can be? No. But you will be. I promise. -
Jaudiar folded her fingers gracefully over her stomach....halfway instinct, halfway anger. She closed her eyes and sifted down through everything she had noticed about Carmela. From her body came not only the obvious scents, but blood. And there was something in her eyes that was not kind. She had seen canibals before, and murderers that drank the blood of her victems. They had been like her. Unless she was one of the undead, which was impossible, there was no reason for her to smell like that. She opened her eyes once more and looked at Axle. Axle: ...what is it? Jaudiar: She's a man eater. Not in the figurative language we know to be true. Axle: ....did she write the letter? Jaudiar: It's possible. She sounds like she could've written it, but I don't have the energy to find out for sure.

The female half breed chuckled and leaned on her staff. The beast was adorable....and she was positive that Ganthor wouldn't mind sharing the fight with the drake. The other female in attendance watched Nepenthe's reaction dubiously. How could she be happy about this. After a time, Lacroix and his beast came back to the light....calmer. Somewhat. Nepenthe stepped forward once more but did not extend a hand. She tipped her staff to one side and bowed her head slightly. Nepenthe: Salut. Lacroix. And you...Alqwerik. Alqwerik: ....do you ride a beast named Ganthor? Nepenthe: What makes you think that? Alqwerik: You smell like him. She smiled and showed him the leather reins wrapped around her waist. Then Nepenthe shrugged and leaned to one side. The others would have to get over their paranoia of the demon alot faster than she did.

Nepenthe pushed her way to the front, arms spread out in a gesture of peace. She bowed her head low. Her body in a posture of humbleness and calm behavior. Ryan: Ee.... Nepenthe: Please excuse us. We did not know it was yours. The figure removed the arrow, and stood easy, staring at the female quietly. The two stared at eachother, and Nepenthe's mouth moved without the rest of her body. A silent conversation took place quickly between the two women, passing faster than the other humans and elves could figure......then Nepenthe smiled and held out one hand. Nepenthe: Nepenthe Sevenstar. Daughter of Jaudiar. Salut.

She groaned and snapped the halter between her hands. Axel grimaced and sidestepped quickly. Her rage began to solidify into a silver aura, pulsing around her purple and red clad body.....then it disapeared. Nepenthe: Come on. Put your pet away, and let's go. Axel: ...PET?!?!? Nepenthe: Don't make me call my own. Get going, we've got to save the world. His eyes did that anime pop thing, and he stared at her like she was crazy. She cracked the halter like a whip and spun the leather around her wrists.....he did as she asked.
-
Nepenthe rolled her eyes. Typical of the elves. Attack first, ask questions later, assume the worst. She spun her staff to her back shoulder strap and turned to her beast. She chuckled and twittered at it, and it rose to his feet. She took off his halter, then slapped his rump affectionately. Ganthor took off in a blaze of red energy and disapeared. Ryowa: ....what now woman? Nepenthe: My name is Nepenthe Sevenstar, older of the Sixth crown. I will thank you to address my as so. He glared at her, and she glared back. Silver pools of light, glistening with energy. Axel stepped between them and walked towads the castle. Nepenthe grimaced and bared her teeth at him, then swaggered after Axel.
-
The female warrior drew out her staff and held it in an attacking position, legs threatening. Nepenthe: There are no innocents. We are all creatures of greed and disgust, living out our cramped lives, hoping we are something better. Ryowa glared at her and she simpered back. Her beast knelt down, folding his wings across his back. This he had seen before, and had no desire to break between them. Nepenthe: I am no human. But an Itsari and an Elf. But I care not what my blood flow is, as long as I'm alive. Ryowa: You would defend this human? Nepenthe: Axel is my friend. By no means is he innocent, but he does not die.

Oh good, I didn't have to give birth painfully! WHOPEE!! *sobers up* I loved that. We should have another one. Cause this was great. Sex. Violence. Tendencies to Sarcasim. I love it.

Ganthor hissed through his fangs and tilted his head to one side. Nepenthe adjusted her seating and applied slight pressure to his right side. The two swoped down as one...female holding tight onto the reins of the beast, the male preparing for a smooth landing. Beneath her, she could see the back of the castle, and her aquaintance, Axel, waiting. They touched down smoothly, and she grabbed the haft of her spear. With a twist of her body, she leapt off his bare back and landed on all fours. The male walked over to the woman....smiling slightly. She grinned back, and kept her tight grip on the halter of her mount, knowing that at the slightest whiff of food, he would bolt. Axel: Welcome Nepenthe. Nepenthe: Salut. Axel. Seyruun hired me instead of the usual. Axel: And why's that? Nepenthe: My elder sister is now blind. Thanks to a brush with a dark drider, and a drake. So I got pulled in. Axel: That must be harsh. Nepenthe: My sister is wise. She can see auras well enough, and she will fight eventually. Right now she's resting. So I pulled the halter on Ganthor and came over. Pleased to see me?

Liar! You said you wanted to include the Sadist Masochist Bondadge thingy. So don't try to pin it on me. All I was suggesting was a virgin sacrifice. :p ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And now for some plot exposition. Introducing: The Blue Mage. ~~~~~~~~~~~ His arm was long, his power was great, and now he has fallen into recluse and a long night. There is one who could arouse him from slumber, but even then....why would she? He would not thank her, and he would not fight the dark King if she begged on bended knees. Jenica awoke from her dreams, of the Blue Mage, terrified, and whimpering. She crawled from her corner and onto Nepenthe's bed, begging to be cuddled and consoled. The female nephil awoke and quickly hugged the shaggy werewolf to her chest, stroking the baby fur softly....whispering sweetness into her ears. The fear subsided, and Jenica snuggled close to Nepenthe's chest. Nepenthe: Was it a Sight dream? Jenica: The Blue Mage is in a long night. Should you awake him? Siren: What's going on? The female sphynx padded in quietly, rubbing her eyes with her tail. She leapt onto the bed as well, and the three women sat back. Nepenthe: Jenica dreamed of the Blue Mage. He is in cold sleep. Should I awake him? Siren: Heh, why bother? I've lived long enough to know that he's a heartless, cold, ruthless jerk. He won't help us. Nepenthe: ....I dreamed of King Lacroix today. He is rising. Siren: Wake the Blue Mage today. Jenica: Can I come? Nepenthe: Stay here, I'll go by myself. Help make ink....and live. The Blue Mage might turn on me.

Valeigh smiled. This wasn't so bad. She had used her lightbearing powers, but remembered everything this time. Rico pulled her up and threw one arm around her...holding her on her feet. She leaned her head to one side, and looked around. Everything was fine....for now. Spyder was crying on the inside, but the new Sellum was calm. Spyder: ....thank you Valeigh. Valeigh: ...no. I acted on instinct. You can not commend me for that. Please don't. Spyder: You did what was necessary. Valeigh: At your expense.

Valeigh's eyes snapped and sparkled, and her energy level surged...aided by the flow from Lethe. She screamed and flung both hands forward in a whipcord of electric power. Rico: VALEIGH! Valeigh: Then Despair...AND DIE!!! With a final blast, she snared him around the throat and swung him up and down again. There was a sickening thud, and blood poured from his crushed chest. Valeigh's chest heaved with the effort...and she sank to one knee.

A manticore has a man face, scorpion tail, and body of a lion. At least in my book. Oh, and thanks for the compliment. :D *poses*

She smelled the air around her and looked down over her left shoulder. A male wolf, with a magnificent form, was standing in the clearing, staring up at the helicopter. Lethe smiled. Humans didn't bother her, she was too normal looking for that. Not to mention her ability to charm males. But enough of that, she returned her attention to the hapless beast beneath her. He wasn't normal. She could tell right off. His scent was all wrong. He looked up, ears flicking. A half naked female was reclining beneath the thick branches, waving down at him. Lethe: Hello. He looked at her like she was insane, and tried to stop from staring.

Valeigh unconciously touched the starseed's pointed edges. She could feel it just underneath her skin. The sign of her clan. Reacting to Jenica. It had been clensed with her love of Rico, but like all life, it could be corrupted. For her child's sake, it would remain the way it was now. Pure. Untarnished. Lovely. In her mind's eye, she could see it now. Half an opal, sliced through and sharpened into the shape of a diamond. When it came out of her skin, it had wings of metal, but it was still the representation of her people. In it was poured the compassion, trust, and power she had claimed for her own. Rico smiled down at her, even though she was not focused... Harelquin's rough voice shocked her out of her thoughts, and she looked up once more. Valeigh: ...my starseed is burning. Rico: And? Valeigh: He's close enough to touch. In the spirit realm anyways. Spyder: Don't be afraid. You're not alone anymore. Jenica kicked gently, a reminder....and Valeigh's nerves steeled themselves.

She rolled him out of the apartment, and, still angry, slammed the door as loud as she could. Then, Lethe turned and headed for the shower. Life sucked, majorly. She slamed her fist against the wall, then quickly walked into the shower and snapped the curtain behind her. Then she swiftly turned on the water and scrubbed herself vigorously, trying to get rid of his scent.

Valeigh was quiet, her stomach was begining to tense up and twist with the prospect of a new child. And she couldn't help but feel bad about life...like something was going to happen to her child. At the moment, Jenica was silent, but still pulsing slightly. It was like she was calm, and unafaid. No matter what would happen. She tensed again and Rico touched her shoulder reasuringly.

It was then that he finally made his first mistake. Taking his eyes off her. Lethe put her gymnatstic's flexibility to use and dived for the gun he had set down; her legs twisted to one side while she brushed the ground with one hand. Then she felt the touch of cold metal in her hands and clenched down. She whipped it around, and planted it against Adrien's right eye. He stopped short, mouth half open, hands up. Lethe smiled. Lethe: If I wasn't afraid of bloodstains ruining this bed, I might kill you. Adrien: ...you don't want to do that. Lethe: Give me one good reason why I shouldn't pull this trigger. Adrien: You won't get paid? Lethe: I already have another lined up. Get off your feet and get against that wall. She drew the gun back slightly, and he complied. Keeping both eyes on him, and one on the trigger, she swiftly pulled on her lingere and pants. Then, he made his second, and final mistake. He turned around to try and wrench the gun from her hands. Lethe dodged and fired. Twice. Two slugs took him down. One in the balls, and the other in the face. He hit the back wall, blood pouring from his body. Lethe growled and dropped the gun. He had paid, and she was happy. Lethe: Arigato.

Name: Nepenthe Sevenstar Age: 800 Gender: ....oh brother. Do you really have to ask? Appearance: See attatchment. Background: A wanderer by nature, Nepenthe communes with animals of land, air, and sea. This gives her enough information about her environment to make traveling far easier than for normal humans. When she sings, life seems to become simpler, and she becomes calm. However, there is one bad side effect. When people listen, they usually fall asleep. Tattoo: A black spider across her lower back, legs spread out like it's embracing her. http://www.scorpionstudiostattoo.com/brettweb/pages/tribal2.htm Tattoo Power: The power to summon golems of all elemental types. However, they do not last longer than she can handle. Usually for only a half hour. Weapon: Her summons and a staff made of iron, ringed with cherrywood. Armor: None. The golem's usually take care of that for her. She thinks clothes are over rated.

Lethe: ....leave me alone. The werewolf barked and snapped at her, then rage took her over. She rolled her body to one side and he completely missed. Lethe grinned, eyes sparkling with rage, and she grew the metal over her body one more. With a swift backwards leap, she glanced it across the face, then sliced with both elongated talons. The head of the loup garou hit the ground, bleeding like a gyser. Lethe stood up, body returning to her normal naked humanoid form. Lethe: ....idiot. Moving like a panther, she climbed the nearby tree and crawled out onto a thick limb. She stretched out like a cat, belly pressing down, and put her arms in front of her body. She rested her eyes between her palms, and purred.
-
Sil: ...no thanks. I'll be going now... Before the others could protest, she opened the nearby window and slipped out, falling backwards easily. Craig leapt over and looked out. She was heading straight down, hands held out horizontally from the body. Just before she hit the ground, she flipped her body over and swirled upwards, then out of sight. He shook his head and looked back at Nick. Craig: Does she do that often? Nick: Oh, five or six times a day. You get used to it. Craig: Oh. She kept her straight line upwards, then she turned to the side and headed out towards the gardens once more. As soon as she was directly over, she made a bee line for the Japanese koi ponds. She landed near the shrine and sat down on the gilded bench. She flicked several cherrios in the lake, and watched the many colored fish jostle eachother, bitting for them. Sil smiled slightly, then turned towards the shrine. The bell rang softly for her, and she entered.

Of course, there's only one thing missing from this. A little unrequited love. Then again, that would be even worse.
