Somebody go kick Siren and Rae. And while they're at it, go after Craig and another guy....or something. :demon:

Innana held out her hands....and gestured to the place they were standing in. Huge and open....rolling waves, only they were jade green...and the sand she was kneeling in, was made of simple saphires.... She looked up, what would be next? Or was this all an illlusion? It felt real enough.... Tarlain smiled. This would take a few days at least.....she sighed. No sense in sitting around, might as well get back to her work. She padded through the caverns silently, designing the next Spirit Stone in her mind...opal went with a Celestial...maybe a garnet for Zelfoh... "Geh, I'm going to have to hunt again." Once back into her normal room, she opened a panel in the wall and dragged out her longbow. This was going to take some time. How many gyrefalcons could there be?

Sil sighed involuntarily....the students were either as tired as she was, or just having a bad day. They had gone through their routines more than 5 times, and they still couldn't get it down. She looked at the clock, and crossed herself. Sil: Okay people...that's enough for now. Go home, and take a hot shower. Or better yet, practice. Random Students: ...Thanks Miss Sil....have a nice day...byebye... Sil: Yeah...*waves* The students left slowly, picking up their duffel bags and random other objects she waved goodbye to them. Once every last one of them had departed, she disapeared into the back room, then took off into the air...heading home. She touched down on the roof, tired, and feeling sore. 50 toe touches were not what she had planned....but ugh, she was going to have trouble getting out of bed tomorrow. Sil: Dinner time... Too tired to fly, she slid down the bannister and into the cafeteria....she immediatly sat down, and slumped over, head beating itself into the tabletop. Adriana: What died? Sil: I'll take a double double, no lettue, tomatoes, or onions, hold the sauce. A side of fries, a big vanilla milkshake, and a side of curly fries. Adriana: That bad?! Wow.....you need help. Sil: And while you're at it, gimme a triple fudge sundae. Adriana: ...I think I'll go pray now.

I'll edidt this into a story later...but seriously raiye! Why in the world would Elsyan wear a dress and hide from a battle? She would rather be buried in wet concrete.

The two let go of eachother some time later...Sil sat up, brushing her hair back.... Darwin: What is it? Sil: What time is it? Darwin: ....1: 04. Sil: Damnit. I've gotta run. Dance time! Byebye! Like a rocket, she grabbed her backpack, then shot out of the window, waving while she flew backwards. Then she spiraled out of sight....Darwin waved. That was unique. He shrugged and went downstairs, only to find Adriana waiting for him. She smiled and winked. Adriana: She's late. Darwin: For....? Adriana: She's a part time dance instructor.... Darwin: Oh, that explains a good deal. Her blowing me off suddenly. Adriana: Well it must be your fault for distracting her...or something. In the meantime... She flew high and fast, changing her clothes as she went...leotard, long loose sweatshirt, and ballet shoes...Almost right on time, she touched down outside the studio, adjusted her hair, then pulled the door open.

*cough* Non-original diolouge...*cough* ~~~~~~~~ Chaos and Joy were everywhere, snapping and hissing...burying fangs in their enemies..... Staff exchanged itself for a bloodsword, their mistress roaring aloud....filled with the joy of the hunt. The battle was over quickly. The scent of death rose into the air. Sweet, cloying. The fires had spread during the battle, consuming the flesh of the dead or dying orcs. Gurthang sheathed his blade, smiling. Nepenthe straightened up, and hissed through her teeth. Immediatly, the two snakes whipped themselves around her arms and slithered onto the staff. They froze into place. She stretched quietly, enjoying the slight pain from the work. Fox: Everyone okay? Nepenthe: Never better. Kain: Elysan.....where is she?

Celestine and her instructor stood in the main cavern.......then they quietly walked down into the stone halls.....until they finally came into the largest room yet. It was big. Really big. The waterfall and lake could easily have fit inside....with room to spare. The Celestial looked around, then immediatly saw the focus of their walk. Tarlain walked to the huge fire circle and passed her hands over it. Immediatly, huge blue and white flames crackled into the air, searing heat passing through the place. Celes: No way.....I am not going in there. Tarlain: Baby. It's not painful, unless you fail. This place is not for mere mortals, it is for you and your kind. This will not burn your flesh, but rather, burn the locks on your mind.....it will open up the potential you need....to learn. Celes: Oh. Well then, is there anything I should know? Tarlain: Be honest. It's not good to lie to Her. Celes: Who? Tarlain: You will be trained for a time...to test your strength, and then you will be questioned by She who is Many. Celes: Is she a goddess? Tarlain: No, she is Innana, Queen of the Night....a mistress of Illusion. Do not fear her, unless you come with a lying spirit. Now go. The female Dragouret pointed, and smiled.... "Do not forget my gift." The Celestial touched the opal on her neck, then smiled, reassured. She took a step forward....then braced herself and leapt into the flames. Tarlain: ...Jah grant her success.

She awoke to the smell of frying venison....heavenly. Tarlain quickly sat up and ate the meat Ken offered to her. Tarlain: Thanks. Ken: No problem....you okay? Tarlain: Lethe's kicking. Hard. Ken: At least she's a happy one. Tarlain: Happy? She lifted her shirt and to Ken's surprise, her ribs were bruised....dark red and purple....

They touched down next to a cliff surrounded gorge. A waterfall splashed down from the rockside, and a long lake spread in an oblong shape. Valeigh set down her charge and relaxed on the long sweet grass. This area would slowly replenish High-rule's energy... Sinistrad: This place is holy.... Valeigh: After a fashion. It isn't as holy as it could be. I'm not like that. Siren: Angel of Death....makes sense. Valeigh: Anyone hungry?

Tarlain held the opaque stone in her hands, then roared aloud. Immediatly, her apprentice apeared next to her, still asleep. She smiled.....it worked. She bent down and touched her hands to Celestine's face. Sweet and gentle. White light emmenated from her palms, and poured over her body....several moments later, Celestine sat up, rubbing her eyes. Celes: I did it.....? How did I do? Tarlain: Very well. Great pyrotechnics. ;) Celes: Did you watch? Tarlain: You were constantly in my mind's eye....but then I came back here to set this up for you. She bent down and strung the jewel from Celestine's neck. Then she helped her to her feet....and the two went back to the waterfall's entrance. Medra and Ochkick Haddah were still in conversation, so the two didn't bother. Tarlain turned to Celestine. Tarlain: It is time for the next test. Celes: But I just had one! Tarlain: This test is different. It is the fire you must enter, then exit. The Awakening was for you power. This is for your mind.
-
She relaxed.... Ochkik Haddah was pleased. Lethe had already begun talking with him...singing to herself... "She is strong Tarlain. You chose a wonderful mate." "Thank you Haddah......but it makes me tired." "Don't worry. You will be fine. I have other matters to attend to now. Be calm." Tarlain smiled as his voice receeded from her mind. He was happy enough, and kind. Her child kicked her ribs, then she calmed down as well. It was time to meditate.

She gestured and he sat down on the corner of her futon.....she set down her book and leaned back. Sil: Something on your mind? Darwin: What did you do? Sil: One of the mutants, Andrew, was out of control. His powers were mutating and manisfesting themselves, making him particularly violent. I tapped his powers, and knocked him out. And with that, came his mind. Darwin: How long will you have it in your head? Sil: ....a few more minutes. It's not fun. With gloved fingers, she rubbed her temples and closed her eyes. Darwin looked concerned...she could feel it. She stopped and looked up/ Sil: I want to control my power, but I can't test it safely. I wish I never saw my mom get stabbed....or that I ever rushed to comfort her. His eyes widdened, then closed in sympathy. So that was it. She had murdered her mother, with her power. And manifested her powers at the same time. He touched her shoulder comfortingly.... Darwin: I'm sure you will control this. Sil: .....thanks.

Tarlain: Moron. Trying to be all kissy kissy to me. Ken: You're harsh. Tarlain: Worse has been said. He had no buisness here. Ken: Remind me to never make you mad. Tarlain: Never make me me mad. She smiled and leaned back eyes closed. Dreams slowly took over her mind, and she relaxed. And time went by.......

Moving at a brisk lope, the three woman landed at the gates of the Sanctum once more....the Oracle greeted them....and glared at Alaustin. Oracle: I trust that you're now in complete control of yourself. Alaustin: .....*glare* The tension in the air...if given a visible form, would've set the town on fire once more. The ground rattled slightly at the supressed power the two were containing.....and Ananda's wings flexed. Her energy was loud, and angry. She stepped between the two, holding herself up high....posing as Lingh had taught her to. Her voice echoed, deper than usual. Ananda: .....stop this. Oracle, you are supposed to be mature and kind. Stop teasing Alaustin. Oracle: ..... Alaustin: It's nothing. Ananda: It is. If we can't get along from the start, we're all going to die.

She steadied herself, with their help, then stepped into the hallway. She tested her flying powers....still working. Then she bowed to the guys and flew to her room. Once inside, she slammed the door, fustrated and drained. She stripped off her sweaty clothes and cranked on the shower, full blast. When it was as hot as she could bear it, she slipped inside and relaxed. Once she was finished....an hour later.....she stepped out and brushed her hair...towel around her waist. She looked at herself in the mirror...poisonous skin? It was harmless enough, from the outside. Why did it have to be her? If there was no way to control this, she was stuck....for life. Tears formed in her eyes, and she brushed them away. Sil: ....I will control this...somehow. She dressed in her normal clothes again, jeans, shirt, gloves...and sat on her bed, Book in hand. The Simillarion.....bliss for one hour. Hopefully.

Valeigh: They will come. Or be spitted by the damn Vias. Siren: Perfecto. Sinistrad: ....the others... Valeigh: Don't stress yourself with things you must consider beneath you. It might give you premature wrinkles. With a quick movement, she leapt upwards, wings beating furiously. The three angels rose into the air in formation.....then Valeigh rotated slowly....geting her bearings. She roared aloud her battlecry, and raced into the night. True north...her home was calling her name. Siren: How long? Valeigh: 3 hours of swift flying.

She sat, crosslegged, body tensed. The spell book propped open in front of her was giving off a powerful sense of magic, and the bowl in her lap was reacting strongly. The flow of mana was disrupted, but she willed it to become normal again. With a deft movement, she continued stirring the ingredients, while uncorking a bottle. Tarlain: Powdered hens teeth....red oxeye....tail feathers of a white falcon... The list went on....while she swiftly added each ingredient. Then she stopped, and closed the cupboard doors. It was finished.... Tarlain: Okay, ...*skims notes* Pour into precarved magic circle, fill every groove and step into the center.... Damnit. They didn't say anything about a magic circle. She hissed with fustration, then grew her claws longer and picked up the silver basin. The female Dragouret ducked into a smaller chamber and set down her bowl. With a long sure stroke, she etched the circle, then added her own symbol into the center. A seven pointed star with a rose in the center. It was perfect. The bowl's flow of mana shuddered, and reacted. The liquid poured itself out of it's container and filled every groove. Without ceremony, she landed in the center, and the rose grew, covering the circle. Tarlain: ....okay then. Let's do it. Words, echoed through the chamber, moving quickly....sounds reberverated wildly, then escalated.... The energy created by her magic solidified underneath her feet. The magic circle fadded, as did the liquid. Steam rose from underneath her, but she stood still. It was not finished...

She couldn't help it. The sight of this fallen angel just ......too late. Uproarious laughter bubbled from deep inside of her, and for the next few moments, she was completely occupied with trying to control her mirth. Sinistrad watched her, a look of disgust on his face. She wiped her eyes with one hand and regained control. The bloodsword retracted and landed on her belt, and her wings spread. Valeigh: We are going to Atenae. I assume you will be coming with me. Sinistrad: .....yes... Valeigh: Then may I suggest you remain calm. Ochkik Haddah won't like any sudden outbursts. Sinistrad: The Lord of Nightmares..... Valeigh: My father? Yes.

She took off at a blinding speed, whipping around corners, kicking the doors open, and with a swift spiral, she landed infront of the doors to the training room. She knocked once, and the doors opened quickly. What she saw was utter chaos. A wildly out of control mutant, and Craig trying to stop his path of destruction. Her gloves already removed, she took to the air and quickly began to dodge the attacks. Sil: This is going to be fun. Craig: Now is a good time! Sil: Watch my back. With a quick movement, she unsheathed her sword, using it to stop the projectiles aimed at her....then she swooped in, dropping the sword. Her bare fingers slapped down on his face, and his eyes opened. Both of them fell through the air and landed on the ground.... Moon Chaser absorbed his energy....clinging on for dear life....then she felt it click. Her hands left his face. He was out. She shook her head, as if to clear it. Blinding white headache....and body trembling with the absorbed energy. Craig: Are you okay? She trembled slightly, and landed on the ground. Her mouth was having difficulty working right. Sil: ....yeah....

She watched quietly, arms crossed, wings drapped around herself. From her corner on the side of the cliffs....she could see everything in her domain. Whatever had happened to her quiet home? Now she had two extremely powerful Angels, a Succubus, a resurected Knight, an apprentice that was Jah knows where, an ArchDemon, and of course....her second father and mentor. She closed her eyes. So much for calm and quiet...the two things she would've nearly posessed.....if she hadn't of rescued that innocent little Celestial... Thoughts whirled through her head, then she shook it once, and was calm. Ochkik Haddah was certainly giving this Medra a ride for his money. The younger of the two had a face contorted with pain, but was not worried yet. That was good. The moonlight was exceptionally bright tonight. That was also good. But the flow of mana down here was wildly out of control. "I wonder if I should start learning that spell I promised...." She got off her butt and padded silently into grotto. Once inside, a thousand bats fluttered around her body, then resettled themselves. "Peace, I am only here for a little while."

She moved slowly....tail balancing her movements.....the waterfalls quick flow suddenly slowed down to almost nothing. Time seemed to stop all together. With a quick leap, she landed in the center of the water, standing still. Feet planted easily on the surface, she dug in slightly....talons sinking slightly. The wind that had once whipped through the area had stopped....and everything was quiet. The slowly.....Tarlain brought both her hands forward, palms facing out, fingers spread wide. Then her lips moved, forming the words of the long forgotten spell. "Tantalar." With each word spoken, in the tounge of the long dead Dragourets, something changed in the water. "Uthwine." It was both a sense of color, and appearence. "Effratha." The liquid seemed to become thicker, more solid than ever. "Gorjeona." Then the final incantation was spoken, and the water shattered like a mirror. "Ochkik Haddah, Lord of Nightmares. Come to my side." She sank into the water, slowly, softly....like a child falling asleep. Within moments, Tarlain had disapeared completely. Then, without warning, she reapered, screaming and convulsing. Her body rippled with energy, claws sliding in and out of her fingers, uncontrolled. Her wings flexed and twisted spasmatically. Wild. Unreal. Then she threw back her head and roared. He appeared. Huge. Face of a lion, mane of flames. Body of a man, hands of a bear. With a gentle motion, he touched her shoulder, and she calmed herself. The energy required was suffused into the air, and everything went back to normal. Ochkik Haddah smiled sardonically. He was arrogant, but could afford to be so.
-
She entered... The room was not like the Danger Room.....quiet, round, like a bare concrete box. Moon Chaser smiled and bowed gracefully... Darwin: Simple. Sil: Very good for my morning stretching.....it's hardly ever used. Darwin: What kind of stretching? Sil: This kind. With the grace of an experienced ballet dancer, she brought one leg up behind her, then stretched it until her torso was parallel to the floor....the perfect splits, standing up. Then she slowly brought it back down to the ground, and bent backwards.....hands resting on the floor, feet pointed....Then she turned and did a slow backflip, and landed in the splits once more. Sil: It's called Tarissi. A family sort of thing.... Darwin: Wow. Sil: But I don't advise you to learn it.....you might rip something important.
-
She twisted her wings slightly, then folded them back into her shoulderblades again. He was venting....and looking rather intersting at the same time....Valeigh's scarred arms slowly receeded back to their normal color.... and when she spoke, her voice was calm, and even. Valeigh: The Via'pus attacked my love when I was away. I came and rescued him, slew the offenders, and that was the end of that. And then you came along. Sinistrad: ...... Valeigh: ....and vented. And made yourself look like a fool. I never asked you to get involved. If you want to, you can. But I'm warning you, there might be some good deeds involved. And based on your recent tyraid, you might not be able to handle that.
-
She smiled and sat down in a nearby chair, feet up once more. Abob looked at her. It was a somewhat stressful situation of course...but she was still looking cool. Calm, even happy about this. Abob: Happy? Tarlain: Overjoyed. Abob: And why is that? Tarlain: If I die...I'll see my baby sister again. If I live...I'll be able to tap into the energy my implants don't cover....mystical magical side of me....never really appeared. Abob: Could it be the technology is interfering? Tarlain: No, it's not that. I'm quite sure it's just me....

Well, it's quite simple my dear Harlequin, just say hi to Valeigh and her fallen love. And make some scathing comments like you usually do. I'm quite sure the Angel of Death and Battle would be overjoyed to see your face once more. And do me a favor....fiasco is too strong a word. And there's only about 2 of them going on. Count for yourself if you're not sure.
