I tightened my grip...the staff begining to come alive. The presence of orcs made the snakes carved into it wildly estastic. It would not do to have them come to life and slither around her arms. Chaos: Let me go Mistress.... Joy: I too...would like to be freed. "Patience my friends...you will taste the blood soon.....very soon."

He tasted so young. Like life flowing from the starseeds in my heart. It was more than enough to hold any anger I held for him at bay. Did he really desire the Power of the Ring? It could be his. But then again, it could be mine all the more. And he did not poses the complete power to control it yet....whereas I could easily rise into something like Sauron. But no I do not want the Ring. It almost destroyed my mother, and is the bane of my father's life. So nevermind that. I would aid another in becoming a Power of couse...but not let it interfere with my personal safety. Maybe I should get some help.

She leaned in closer, face inches from his, then kissed him gently. She placed her hands on his face and opened a link between them. "It won't kill you....to cry." "I...." He sighed, if he trusted her...would he die? And if she was offended, would she attack with a spell of death? ~~~~~~ I felt sorry for him, even though my true feelings were hard to sift through.... I both loved and despised him.

Sil smiled and leaned back body relaxing completely.....sure she would never get laid. But ah well, there's always um... Adriana: What's wrong? Sil: I hope I eventually get better control over this thing... Adriana: Why's that? Sil: If I don't...I'll never get laid. Adriana: *giggle* So sorry dear. Oh well....at least you've got the equipment.

Hmm, I sense a blood feud coming on. No pun intended. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Tarlain's eyes snapped open. The cord binding the two together had just been tugged. "Mogwick found her yet? "Oh yeah....I'm outta here." She spread huge wings and took flight, high over the dense trees of the forest. She continued until the sound of a Mogwick arrested her attention. Tarlain swooped down and landed in a tree...silent, watchful. Then, she twisted a lock of her hair and cast the spell of invisibility on herself....no use in making Celestine hopeful. It appeared to have grown some...since she had last seen it. Oh well. More the challenge.

Writing Today's Poem [M -- As a Precaution]
Raiha replied to Heaven's Cloud's topic in Creative Works
The unberable Lightness of being, Courses through this place, And we rise only to fall, For what we have been pushed back into. And we try to rise above, Merely to turn on one another, Only child of the clan leader, Pushed from home to another land. When she returns to find death, The words fall like dew to pasture, And all has come undone, But will be redone. -
"Beautiful, even if I love the moon." "The power of Inana flows in this place. She is the Queen of the Night. And the white elf and Enchantress that created the first of us." He raised an eyebrow quizzically. "Inana. How did she become a Queen?" "It is nothing but an old memory...but if you want to hear the story...I will share it with you." He nodded and sat down on the grass. She smiled and slowly eased herself to the ground, stomach once more getting in the way. Tarlain leaned back, very comfortable....and reached into the depths of her memories, to come back up with the tale of Inana. "It is a long story...should take us several days." "That's okay, Lethe won't mind." "Of course." Tarlain pulled a wry face.

"Give her two more nights. But in the meantime, perhaps I should teach you another song or two. And when you do summoning, teach Celestine as well...then I'll cover the general Holy summoning parts." "Alright. So sing already!" She trilled at him through her teeth, and twitched her tail playfully. "The unberable Lightness of being, Courses through this place, And we rise only to fall, For what we have been pushed back into. And we try to rise above, Merely to turn on one another, Only child of the clan leader, Pushed from home to another land. When she returns to find death, The words fall like dew to pasture, And all has come undone, But will be redone."

Sil chuckled at Adriana's arrogance....almost equal to hers, then quickly changed into her new outfit. It was perfect. Black leather bodysuit, leaving little to the imagination... It conformed to every single one of her curves, and was as comfortable as a second skin She smiled and zipped up the "hooker" boots, then she examined the rest of the clothes...nothing more. Ah, so the Professer had let her wear her own. Excellent, they were more comfortable anyways. She pulled her gloves to the elbows, then adjusted her silver necklace...and sliped her signature silver sword belt on again. It was exactly how she had requested...no X symbol anywhere, perfect for night flights...She stepped away from the mirror and walked over to where Adriana was standing....or really, basking.... Adriana: Sexy. Of course, mine is better. Sil: We know. We know. The weather witch winked and Moon Chaser waved her hand dissmisively. Then the two chuckled.... Sil: We're doomed. Adriana: To eternal worship and general love. Sil: Ah, some people have it tough.

The rain rushed down, coating her body, slicking her vellus down until she began to glow in the ever present moonlight. She smiled and looked to Death Knight. For all his dangerous ways and dark talents, he really did posess a heart, underneath it all. "If you do not wish to die....I can make it so." "What would Celestine think?" "She is confused for now...but when she is Awakened....things will be cast into colors for the first time." Tarlain looked at Death Knight....she was right of course. But after the Awakening, she would have to pass through the Sacred Fires. If she succeeded, then she would continue. And drink the Ambrosia. But very few ever progressed that far. "Will she complete the course?" The female Dragouret did not answer at once, but appeared to be lost in thought....then she sang softly, "Sweet is the ambrosia we have tasted, Gentle is the fire we have passed through, Cold is the trail we made for ourselves, Last of the Blessed Kynn, we perservere. She will succed. And then we will see what we will see."

And I would of course...come back at you with a snappy and truthful statement about how you never signed up for Yoda's X-men thread...and used Rogue's, my powers, in the bargain. But since you said not to apoligize, I won't. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The way he looked at me was unerving. Like he had seen the me, threatening him. But then, I remembered that the great Eye would be untruthful to him...if only to serve in bringing the Ring to Him. But of course, the Eye was very truthful, when it came to the matter of the Ring's safety. He looked at me like I was the lowest snake....then I looked away. "You..." "Did you see the Eye?" "What of it?" "If you did, I must tell you.....it is never truthful, unless His safety is concerned....do not believe Him..." "Who should I trust?" "I can not tell you what is right or wrong. But if you want to believe a lying, schemeing sorcerer, that only wishese to bring the Power back to Himself...go ahead."

"Damn him to the Seven Hells of Circe." She growled to herself, if she could unlock the mechanism....and release her long dormant spirits... "Something wrong Tarlain?" "It's nothing.....serious."

A tear fell to the ground...and she sighed. Her power, blast and curse it...controlled her mind. And the Eye, looking at her constantly. While she marinated in the darkness He loved it. To hold a nearly complete power over the brat of Mirthrandir was perfect. "Curse you. To the depths of the Sundering Seas." She sighed. Part of her was begging for a cure, the other half mourned the brightness.

Panic rose breifly in her chest...then was replaced with a dark burning.....this was.....the end. She screamed aloud, Starseed burning with restrained energy. All it would take was one swift summon....at a risk to her bloodline. That was unacceptable. Her rage rose higher than anything she had ever felt for Axel. "You fool." His insults stung her to the core, but in her heart, she knew it to be true....but that was without her child's new flow of mana....it throbbed in her veins, spurred on by the fury she was feeling. "Keep your power, it is a shadow of your empty mind." Laughing darkly, she leaned on her snake ridden staff, her power dimming, then shimmering. Then the Starseed burst from her chest, body contorting and moving. Her chakras glowed, then meshed themselves with Rajaah's. He struggled, then felt pain.....pain like nothing before. "One push is all it takes.....don't make me destroy you." He winced, like a cornered animal....she had gotten him once more, this time, it was a desperation act. To use her chakras to attack him....using Shammanistic power for such a purpose...tempting fates.

The star settled on Hr's chest, glowing, still. The demon's stepped back. The symbol of Alujah and the Arch Serphim....from the center a huge black rose spread its petals....the sweet scent of Valeigh rising itno the air. High-Rule smiled...the pain was vanishing as he even spoke. Valeigh's eyes sparkled and snapped, dangerous. Agonizing pain...flooding through her body. She hissed and her wings spread outwards, the claws flexing and slidding in and out. "I am coming. Fear not."

"I can do many things for you." She pressed in close, her face nearly touching his....eyes glittering like set diamonds....betraying her dark soul. "Even wipe you clean. Like a blank slate. Is that what you want from me?" Gurthang's face colored. He shook his head, slightly upset. She was close enough for him to reach out and snap her neck, but before he could get a move, she could repel him. It was tempting, this Power she could offer to him, if she so chose to. And frightening...the energy she was giving off. "Do as you will." "Perfect....dearest."

"If my bloodline fails, the world will end. No matter what the humans have done to me and my people, I will preserve life. It is precious." He looked at her, disbelieving. Then he realized that the female Dragouret had not killed anything, the whole time he had met her, aside from the antelope. But that was necesary for survival. Without it...she would've died. "Do you think it's worth it?" "The Earth always Endures, but either in a state of balance, or chaos. But if the scales tip too far....mana, Haddah, everything....will be worth nothing." "Haddah, chaos.....he could never be worth nothing." "You could be surprised. Do not underestimate this world."

Tarlain's huge riged ears quickly picked up the tread of another creature...obviously Death Knight. She crossed her arms and leaned back. He walked up next to her and waited. "She's gone into the Forest of the Ages." He gasped. For somebody with that kind of training....that was suicide, plain and simple. "You didn't tell her to did yo-....damn. That's rather harsh. Don't you think?" She snorted, sending out a cloud of steam, "Don't be rediculous. She has been instructed to do such things, and when she is ready to fight...she will use mana. And when she is desperate, she will find herself using ice magic. If I've done my job right, she'll be confronting that Mogwick in oh....two days." He watched her....totally serious, as usual. She took it so flightily, and her life was definetly at risk... "How can you be so confident? She's been in your care for only 4 days...we don't have another two to spare. What will happen with the mana is drained from the land?" "Then we will rely on Ochkik Haddah, the Starseeds of Moonwing, and...ourselves."
-
Ooooh, so the whole of Meteo City getting all fumigated and stuff....didn't kill a few thousand innocent people...Ah, right, I see how it is. :p. Really, was that all so necessary? Can't we all just...get along?
-
Celestine promptly freaked, but then was jerked onto her backside from a headlong run....by the magical cords of Tarlain's Silver Noose spell. She paused... "Don't worry, I'll be following you the whole time. I won't let it eat you, besides, I think these Mogwicks are vegegarians." Celestine's shoulders slumped desparingly. But then she saw something that gave her hope... "What's that?" "This is a my Silver Noose....reforming into a Silver Lifeline. As long as we're connected, you will not die. So go, with my words." The female Celestial squared her shoulders, centered her energy, then boldly walked into the forest, feeling much better for that little pep talk. "Okay, let's do this." "This will be very interesting....the Forest of the Ages, and her.

And time went by... Tarlain gripped his hands tightly in hers, waves of pain lancing through her system. It had been several months since they had come together. Her body had swelled to make room for Lethe's growing form. She was a big baby, but fortunatly for the mother, she had stopped growing. Now she would simply develop mentally, and subliminally. The mana in the mother would be passed into the child, altered ever so slightly. "She's a tough one. Dancing on my ribcage." "Does it hurt much?" "I can bear it. But if I start screaming, do me a favor and please knock me out with a two by four."

"Now that you've got the shamanisim stuff out of the way, we're going to be perfecting elementals. Zelfoh, go talk to your dear old daddy. Celestine, roll up your sleeves." They obeyed. And Celetsine did so with lighting alacricity, moving into a defensive position. Tarlain chuckled and removed her shirt....sure a slight pelt of vellus [baby-like hair] covered her body, but that was besides the point.... She flexed her wings and cracked her knuckles. "This will be the most difficult of spells we've worked on so far. You can use ice magic...that's for sure, as well as light and dark. But this, you must master on your own." "You aren't going to help me?" "Of course I am. To a certain degree. You see that forest?" "Yeah, don't tell me I have to..." "Go in there and hunt. With magic only. Bring me back the head of this beast. If you can. Don't be surprised if this journey takes you more than a few days." She concentrated, then tapped a simple image into Celestine's mind. A huge fanged beast, dangerous....dark. Glaring red eyes and slashing claws.
-
Tarlain threw a hand across her forehead tragically, and flopped over to the ground, wailing and sobbing, "OOOOHHH!! Poor poor poor Mr. Boulder! He was so kind and wonderful! Always so sweet and gentle! Patiently holding onto the ground despite these harsh and cruel women!" The others stared. What a tragic display for such a creature. Death Knight stifiled a chuckle....this was more than he had asked. "Just kidding." "Tarlain...you scare me." "...no, us." She brushed the grass off her pelt and smiled cheesily. "Sorry, couldn't contain myself. But seriously, that was very good. Despite the fainting bit." Zelfoh and Celestine looked at her. She was telling the truth...and it was good. "Rest now."
-
"Mine is far more sad than yours...but that is how I see it. You may see otherwise." He smiled and squeezed her hand in his. "Don't live in the past." She smiled and even chuckled a bit, "Very well then love, I won't. The two rose back into the air, levetaited by her energy. They reclined in the grass, drying themselves off....sure the water was hot, but not enough to stop the wind from making them cold. "This is so lovely." "It was once my own hell. When I returned, it was burned, bleeding, the land was groaning with every step I took....but thanks to Ochkik Haddah's help...." She smiled and shook her head, as if clearing her mind.
