"They're improving." "That's for sure....do you think she has a chance of doing what you can?" "Of course Death Knight." She smiled, then walked up behind the two struggling girls....she placed her hands on their shoulders reasuringly...feeding their delpeted mana with her own.....They immediatly felt a surge in their power. "Now concentrate on the rock.....and start despsing it. Rage helps fuel shamanistic spells....far more than any other type. Except the Deepening Magic." The two visualized....and began to center their furies.

"It's all from the enchantment made to keep this place in darkness more often. As a side effect, the magic also rotates the water from the top to the bottom continually, like a fountain. Convinient...eh?" "So what's behind the falls?" She grinned cheekily, "A 200 foot rock cliff, dropping down into no man's land, then reaching on into the ice caps." His eyes opened wider than usual, then he smiled. She was either totallly insane, or completely wonderful. "....still don't believe me?" He shook his head, then smiled helplessly. She had an answer for everything. "I hate to ask you this. But how did you come to be the last Dragouret on Earth?" Her eyes got a far away look...and she spook as if telling a story to a child.....slowly, softly. "We were many, strong, wise. We moved in packs, fought as a team, triumphed over many races. When the humans grew too numerous, we receeded to Ateneae. They had driven us inwards....but I still bear no malice towards the humans. There I was born again, from my mother's dying blood. And we were happy. But crowded. Soon, between ourselves, disputes broke out. My father was upset, and pused me from Atenae, to fight on my own, and get out of harm's way. I was gone for only 2 days, when I saw smoke rising from Atenae. We had turned on eachother. Mother against son, Father against daughter. I fled back, only to find my father...alive, but mortally wounded. Everyone else had fallen, into darkness and despair. They were no more, but my father stil had his hope. And from that, I flourished. I stilled his bleeding, and he taught me more than before. Ochkik Haddah repaired the damage to the ancient enchantments, and the land healed itself eventually. Haddah cherished me as His last hope, and my father finally died of old age. 10,000 and more. Ochkik Haddah and I grew closer, I was the last, and he was alone again. We were like father and daughter....all over again. And that, I guess, is why I am not afraid to cease my existance."

She sighed, the sun rose into the air quickly, moving faster than it should. But then again, She had enchanted this land to move on a faster time than the rest of the world.... Tarlain would give birth quickly, and the child would grow quickly. But then her suffering would be over all the more. "Don't worry." She rose to her tip toes and kissed him on the cheek. Then she loped across the top of the water, laughing like a little girl. He smiled and followed....only to fall into the water. She stood still, still walking on the surface. "Heheh. So sorry, forgot to mention that minor detail." "Oo, you scheming sorceress!"

"WAKE UP!" Her psychic scream reverberated in the minds of everyone present. Death Knight winced, while the two girls were zapped with a bolt of shamanistic magic. They snapped out of the begging state and went into the awake state. "Ow." She marched forward purposfully, eyes set dead ahead. She set up a heavy boulder just behind a tree, then dragged Celestine over and plopped her down in front of it. "What is this?" "This is the shamanistic spell known as the Ra Tilt. It is the most powerful of all the shamans spells, and once you master this, the others were fall into your hands easily. Are you ready?" "Let 'er rip." She smiled and brought both hands forward, moving them in a quick twisting position before bringing them straight forward, pointing at the living tree. "RA TILT!" A huge blast of ivory energy blasted from her palms, moving forwards swiftly....and silently. It surged right through the tree and blasted the rock behind it to bits. Celestine stared in awe. "Cool." "Learn now the stances...and make no false moves. If you do, the spell will destroy both you, and the tree."
-
"Well....I doubt it. She's a Celestial." "Celestine the Celestial. Right." Tarlain chuckled at the play on words, then closed her eyes, remembering every single spell the shamans had taught her....Death Knight watched, she was mouthing the words to the Ra Tilt incantation..... "Do you think she can master the Ra Tilt?" "Maybe. It is very difficult, but I do not think it is impossible. But I always had a knack for Shamanisim anyways. Makes up for my lack of any powerful element to call my own." "You don't have a signature one?" "Unless you count metal as my sword....no. Not very. Ah well, I make it up with the Deepening Magic. No human has ever fully mastered it." "And you still think you can revive Skye?" She looked at him, comfortingly, the words she sent to his mind were remarkably soothing, for such a beast like girl, "I know we can."
-
"It's so beautiful up here." "Yes....I am glad Ochkik Haddah has prepared a place for me. It is better that way." "But is it the best way?" "It is the only way. I would never destroy my own flesh and blood." "But you have had children before?" "I never put my arms around them, or the men that fathered....if you could even use that word...." She closed her eyes and rubbed her face, trying to get rid of bad memories. Ken put his arms around her comfortingly, and she smiled. Ghost thoughts vanishing in the morning light.
-
She laughed, and clapped her hands slowly...almost mockingly. "Very good. A perfect opertunity...for a start in shamanisim." She stepped up and stood before the two bleeding girls, palms outstretched. She concentrated, then mouthed the incantation, "Power of Mechery, Mother of young and old alike, Put your power in my hands, Heal those before me now." A white light suffused their entire bodies, and the bleeding stopped, pain vanished....bruises disapearing into their bodies, blood vessels repaired. They stepped back, the light disipating completely. They smiled to the motherly woman. And both were tired....very tired. "Sleep dust." Both keeled over slowly, fast asleep. "What was that for?" "To cool their blood."

The female Dragouret rose to her feet, refreshed in mind, body, and heart. She walked out into the pale moonlight, to find a sucubus and a Celestial fighting it out, with their fists. She leaned back on a moss covered rock, a black rose between her lips.... Tarlain chewed quietly, enjoying the painful taste of her blood, and the tang of rose syrup...Celestine was learning quickly, the Darkness was mastered, next on her agenda...Shamanism. This was going to rock. She laughed aloud with joy, but the two women didn't hear it. Both were busy pummeling eachother, blood rushing through their veins. Celestine was filled with the savage power her increased magicks brought her, and Zelfoh was elated with the frenzy of a bloodlust. Both wouldn't end it until the first blood was spilled. Tarlain flexed her wings and tested the points of her claws iddely. Let them kill eachother, it would only serve to hasten the day of her Awakening. The ambrosia was made, the fires were being fueled.

She sighed and He hugged her gingerly, full of love for both her and the little life she held within her. With gentle movements, he quietly let her down and and brought her back to the land of the waking. She smiled and opened her eyes, Ken was watching her quietly. "What did you see? "When I give birth, it's either Lethe or me. I choose Lethe." "Wait. Do you mean, you will die?" "I will be transfigured, and have another form, on the ethric plane. Separated from mortals, but not sundered. Don't be sad." "I....okay. I'll do my best." "We still have 7 years together, at least we're ready to cherish them. Together." He smiled, consoled for her fate, and his. The two rose to their feet, Tarlain with some difficulty. This gigantic stomach of hers was getting in the way.

She rose to her feet, Ananda was flustered, but unafraind....things would be so bad. She had a good feeling. Jaudiar rose to her feet once more. They stood and waited.... Then Ananda's horse nuzzled her back reasuringly, as if to say, "Go on, we are unafraid." The two mounted their horses and swooped forward into the territory of the Kalafehrs.....they continued with a steady speed, moving long and easy. The girls sighed, and made no move for their spears, to do so would result in terrible death. "WHO ENTERS?!?!?" Ananda and Jaudiar continued forward very slowly, quietly, making no false moves. "I am Ananda Lethe Sevenstar." "And I am Jaudiar Nepenthe Sevenstar." A big male centaur rode onto their path, eyes glittering dangerously, reflecting the light of his torch. The two dismounted and bowed deeply. Long hair brushing the ground. He raised their heads to face him with a spear point. Ananda did not flinch, beneath the harsh countenance, she could sense both understanding, and respect. Jaudiar sensed lust, and a festering hatred for humanity...but not for them. He opened his mouth to speak, "You are the girls raised by the old Dorobo witch?" "Yes, Kryas was murdered by the humans last night." "Ananda and I have been fleeing ever since." The alpha male weighed the truth of their words in his mind. The two girls were honest, that was for sure. He smiled, if they were friends of Kryas, this was good. Very good. He nodded, then bid them to re mount their horses...noting that they did not use sturrups or spurs. This weighed heavily in the girls' favor. Then he turned and nodded for them to follow. His hands spread out to his sides, and he intoned in a deep voice, "Come one, come all to the Council Edefice. The Two have been found at long last. Come one, come all!" Ananda and Jaudiar exchanged a puzzled look. The Two?

The Oracle rose to her feet, outraged, but the female Dragouret stopped her with a oustretched hand. She shook her head once then strode towards her path of flight. It was not the Oracle's problem. It was hers. She raced out into the night sky, following the obvious scent of Alaustin. It was delicious, sweetwater, and a touch of midnight sky....She quickly caught up with her and spread her wings. She moved, swirling above her head then landing on her three toed claws, directly in front of her...Palm flat out in front of her. Alaustin came to a screeching halt, inches away from her hands. Ananda: Stop. Alaustin: Get away from me.... Ananda: I know you're afraid....but there's no cause to be so. We aren't going to force you into anything....and I'm not going to eat you. Although, I am inclined to. I'm not a thing. Alaustin: Then what the hell are you? Ananda: I'm a Dragouret. The last of my kind. And trust me on this one, I understand your fear. The human girl stared at her...unbelieving for a moment, then suddenly, she felt hands plucking at her mind. Gentle, delicate...filling her with a calm quiet. She shook her head, resisting. "Stop this!" "I'm not going to hurt you....and neither are the rest of them. They're harmless. As for disgusting...I hear you." "What would you know?" "I have put my arms around Lingh, the wolf god, although it was for nothing. My sins are far heavier than yours."
-
She dreamed. Pain, rising and falling in her stomach, mingled with her subconcious...and she saw Him once more. This time, he was kind and caring, a far cry from what he appeared to all others as. She smiled and held out her arms for a hug and a gentle kiss. But he looked away. "What is wrong Haddah? Have I done something bad?" "No, you have not my sweet. I just don't like you getting married...and leaving me..." "Oh come on Haddah, I'm not leaving you!" "You don't understand. When you gave birth before, it was not yours. You never put your arms around him. But this time...you will. And that's not good. When your child is 5, her powers will manifest themselves. And then, either you or she, must cease to be." "I know....I understand completely. I love Ken, I really do. But I want this world to be...almost as much as I want to be with you. When I am gone, will you love Lethe like you loved me?" "Of course. She is eternal, like you, and like me. When you cease to be, you will merge with me. And you will be given the ethric for yourself." "Are you sure?" "I already talked it over with Lucifer. He's agreed. Of course you'll have Agnia to contend with, but you'll whip him head over heals." "I love you....thank's for doing this for me."

Celestine rose to her feet, Spiritual Essence refreshed. Tarlain gestured to the sucubus's training. "Teach her the Darkness." "Are you sure you want to teach her that?" "I want to learn." "See? Next time, don't wait for me, just let her talk herself into it." She chuckled and walked into the waterfall, it's rushing waves parting for her. She entered the cavern that was her home....easily....calmly.... This place, laced with wild, uncontrolled magic, was perfect for her. She sat down on her futon, and lit a single stick of insence. She set it down on a wall sconce and relaxed completely. Finally, she could take a break from training.
-
She served drinks easily, fitting into the job of being nothing more than a cocktail waitress. Her training had been impecable, and Adrien, may he rest in hell, would've been pleased. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Jenna/Rae sitting down, with Liam in front of her....she watched quietly for some time, allowing her gaze to rest on him....then she snapped out of it. Angry with herself for thinking like that, she continued with what she was doing. He was too young for her, even if they were mentally on the same level.... Oh well, we'll always have Paris...a dreamy look passed over her face, before a busboy knocked her tray out of her hands. She looked down. White wine. All over her legs. "Damnit."
-
The female Dragouret glared at Death Knight, obviously annoyed. "Do you have to train like that here?" "Sorry." "Now bug off, or be quiet. If you keep on doing this training shît here, I swear I'll never teach Celestine any of the Deepening Magic." He glared at her and she glowered back, her wings were flexing themselves, and her nails were sliding in and out of her hands...uncontrolled, wild. The mana between them clashed together silently, shields crackling and buckling under eachother's lashes. Both searching eachother for flaws....
-
She sighed and curled up tighter, hoping the pains in her stomach would subside with time. She had given birth before, but that had been centuries ago....Ken looked at her slumbering form. It had been almost a month since they had come to Atenae, and her stomach was rounding out well. "Are you alright?" "Mm, I'm okay. She's very active. Almost too active." "Kicking already?" "Yeah...and she's a big girl. I suppose your demon side had something to do with that...." "Sorry." "Naw, it's okay, I don't mind. She's a healthy one of course....and although I have the feeling that she'll turn out something like a Chimera, I'm not going to be upset about it."

Ananda: ... She barely contained a snicker, but kept her composure. Now was not the time to start laughing hysterically. The oracle turned and gave a withering glance to Raven. Oracle: They will come when the time is ripe. Do not rush things. Ananda: ...That's a very safe answer Oracle. Isthanae: But I don't doubt your words to be true. Alaustin: Then let's get this drag show on the road.
-
Sil's eyes opened wide, then half closed in sympathy....she was no stranger to greif, death was a common occurance for her. Yet it still caused her pain to see Adriana's suffering. A few solitary tears rolled down her face and she brushed them away impatiently. Sil: I am sorry for your loss. Adriana: It's alright....he died well. Sil: That's good, I'm still suffering over Kryas's death, but she was old. The two looked back to the boys, who were obviously confused....and Sil tapped the side of the table with her blade...rather annoyed.
-
She smiled and looked to the Oracle. Bowing her head in repentance, then rising to her feet easliy this time. Ananda: Lingh will send one of his sons with us. Oracle: ....which one? Ananda: I will ask him to bring Krykas. He is strong. Raven: Why do we need a wolf? Ananda: ....we will. Kenneth: Trust her on this one.
-
Let us all imagine....Juuthena has not ignored my last post, and has said hi to the Lord of Nightmares and General Fear......-_- ~~~~~~~~ Tarlain smiled. Enough for one training session. Oh well, more on Golem's tomorrow. Her energy was already rising in her core. More than enough to finish mastering the golem spell and her elemental. "Sleep well Celestine." The female Dragouret smiled at the girl and walked out onto the lake...stepping on the water as easily as if she was on dry land....energy flowing.
-
She smiled faintly....then looked up to the moon. "Give me 4 months to complete mitosis, then about 20 to pass on magicks, traits, and other nuances of being a Dragouret." "That long?!?" "It's only two years. Don't panic. I'll be just fine." "Is this the norm for Dragourets?" "No, usually it's about 3 or 4...depending on the family line, but since you're an Asura, things will speed up quite a bit." She smiled and placed his hands on her stomach. He felt something moving inside of her, a small pulse of mana, turning ever so softly. Ken smiled. "She's happy." "Yes...she is strong. And we will name her Lethe."
-
He held her in his arms, content. They had consumed one another, heart and soul.....she closed her eyes, once more a child. Under a low hanging moon, the two slept deeply. Tired, but satisfied. Ken awoke several hours later to the feeling of her hands plucking delicately at his mind...like brushing the strings of a harp. His eyes opened completely and he looked at her. She smiled at him and leaned back, withdrawing from his psyche. "What was that for?" She smiled innocently up at him. "What was what for?" He gave her the "look" and she grinned. Then she placed her hands on her stomach and looked back at him. "Have you ever been a father? Because if you haven't, start practicing now." Ken's jaw went into free fall.
-
Ananda rose to her feet swiftly, knocking over cushions as she went. Then she spread both her wings, then let them droop again. Oracle: What is it? Ananda: ....Even if we do eradicate the orcs and formons that exist, more will be bred by the Powers of Him. Oracle: .....that is true, eventualy, your roads will connect to His. She grimaced and sat back down in a hurry. This was not what she had anticipated when she signed up for saving the world. Raven looked to her, exchanging a meaningful glance. "Now what?" "We panic?" "That'll work for me."
-
Tarlain took off at a headlong run, then kicked open the door and burst into the home of Ochkik Haddah. A loud purr filled the air and she rushed into His outstretched arms. He held her tight and spun her around while she laughed like a child. The two embraced like family then he knelt down to her level and stared her in the eyes. "Do you know who you're dealing with?" "Yes, I can manage. She is learning faster than any Celestial ever has. But she only appears to be a White Elf. Could she be my blood partner?" "She is. Don't be afraid to hold back...she will not die when taught the Deepening Magics." The female Dragouret looked at her feet like todler would, when caught doing something wrong....She was terribly embarassed, but He touched His huge clawed hands to her face and brought her face up to meet His. He kissed her lips softly, and she blushed. "Do you think I have enough time?" "Yes. And do not fear what dreams I will send to you. They are what you need." "I know. Do I have enough power to train such a Celestial?" He looked at her gravely, and nodded. She sighed and bowed. Her wings dipped to the floor. Ochkik Haddah raised her and gently picked her up. Then he set her down outside the waterfall, in plain view of mortals and cursed. They stared. A giant with the face of a lion, and the body of a man. Energy emenating from his fiery mane....

Writing Today's Poem [M -- As a Precaution]
Raiha replied to Heaven's Cloud's topic in Creative Works
Breath In and Out. Start your race strong, Then sit back and rest, Lances of pain stabbing your chest. Rise up again, Then fall back down. Agony all over, Breath In and Out. Gain your second breath, And continue in good health, See the peak, And Charge forwards. You are there, Wind whipping your face, As your soul rises and flies, Breath In and Out.
