The fates had sliced the cords binding him to life....and his blood flowed freely through a wound in his chest. Then she found her comb and ran it through her hair.......[/i] Siren: *yawn* How do you deal with alla that? Nepenthe: ....I usually asked my sister to deal with it. Say, can you braid hair? Siren: Sure. Nepenthe: I'll take three, you take the others. [i]She parted her hair and looked over her shoulder. Siren smiled and leaned over....fingers quickly manipulating the tresses..... The demons were un prepared for such a violent assult and withdrew their clan into the ground, leaving behind only the scent of brimstone and sulfer.[/i] Elsyan: That's that....eh Jaudiar. Jaudiar? [i]She wasn't listening....her eyes were still open, blazing red....and her breathing was harsh and irregular.... Ling had already calmed himself sufficiently and walked over to her silently....He nuzzeled her cheek, and she became calm again. The blood left her eyes and her sword retracted.[/i] Jaudiar: Yes? Despite their actions, two wolves fell, transfixed by long barbed arrows. Enraged at the loss of his kynn, Ling Redeye stopped short, and swerved to face the attackers. The shots stopped, but the wolves didn't. Blinded by fear, they continued....until suddenly, Ling barked a sharp hoarse bark. They stopped short and whirled around, joining with their brave leader. A contingency of demons rose from the ground, sneers painting their ugly features. Jaudiar slid from Ling's back, hand straying to the handle of her bloodsword.[/i] Ling: Go....we have nothing you want. Angia: Give us the elf bîtches and go. Jaudiar: Watch your mouth you filthy pigs! [i]Lalaith could feel his rage rising....he dismounted his wolf as well, eyes glinting with energy. Iyasu and Elsyan remained on their wolves' back, but had drawn their weapons as well. Jaudiar drew her blade and let the prongs drive themselves into her palm.[/i] Jaudiar: If it's me you want, you've got it. I dare you to knock this blade from my hand![/COLOR]

The singing blade whipped itself through the air, then exploded....A hoarse cry was heard, then a long moan. Jaudiar strode forward and turned over one of 12 dead bodies.[/i] Rae: Oh my god. [i]She ignored him and threw her head back, howling the cry of a hunting wolf......a sound passed through the trees, not an echo, but a reply. Soon, twelve gigantic wolves came loping through the woods, their strides long and easy.....eyes glimmering in the starlight...Soon, they stopped and formed a large ring around the group. Soon, a huge male stepped up to Jaudiar and nuzzeled her shoulder...She cupped his chin in hers and bowed. Elsyan and the others did so as well....[/i] Jaudiar: I thank thee, Ling Redeye. Ling: We were nearby.....what is your desire? Jaudiar: We need to cross the Atenae's quickly. Elsyan: My family is on the other side. Ling: There are many obstacles between you and them. The dreams have been strong lately, and the demons are growing bolder. But we will take you there, demons or no demons. Lalaith: They won't stop us. Ling: A warrior? That is good. [i]He nodded in approval. The other wolves chuckling and woofing lightly. Jaudiar bowed once more, then leaped onto Ling's back.....wrapping her arms around his thick black coat.[/i][/COLOR]
