Valeigh gasped for air, the shock was like being flung into a sea of icy water. She floundered, then willed herself to relax. Everything was black.....she couldn't see her hand in front of her face....then felt panic rising in her stomach. Ochkik: ...to struggle is useless. Valeigh: What do you wish of me? Ochkik: .....defiant to the last...I always appreciated that quality in you. Valeigh: It does no good here. Ochkik: So you still are bount to his fate? Valeigh: Entirely. I can't beleive that death can separate us forever. Ochkik: And it won't. Valeigh: Why did one of us have to pass? Ochkik: It's all in the scheme of things....there's a void in this place....nature abhors to fill the void. Valeigh: .....so I may go back? Ochkik: Sooner than you think....

Hot fury rose in Lethe's chest....she felt her body begining to pulse with energy....something had to break....She stopped instantly, whirled around, both hands raised upwards...Throwing her head back she roared out a challenge....Energy shield crackling around her body. Lethe: Saliyariel in Dominel! Saliyariel en galad, anedraith ammen!! Marth looked back....the slender elfin girl he had so underestimated was standing tall, legs planted firmly in the ground...hands stretched, fingers clawed. Her eyes had changed to those of the Valar.....her wrath was rising... Lethe: Shake in your skins Yrch of Ochkik! Elbereth Gilthoniel's child is waiting!

Nepenthe: She comes. The sailor scout set down her teacup and headed for the door. It was going to be a dark year. As soon as the lock clicked, she was gone, running down the hall, out the front stairs and through the gate. She took the oppertunity to transform completely. Her body shape remained the same, but the energy around her crackled into being. Smooth hands were covered in gloves, pants and a shirt were replaced with a short sailor suit. She adjusted her sash, tightened her gloves, and gripped her blade tightly. Sailor Uthwine took one leap, and was on top of the apartment complex. Twilight fell.....the sun sank and the stars came out. Sailor Uthwine: I can't remember the last time.....I've been so excited.

Tris: ...they're coming. She raised her hands to stroke Drados's head. He emitted a soft sigh, almost like a purr, then slithered down her side and waited by her feet. Kreidon and Blaise appeared in the forest....both chatting about nothing in particular. Tris: ......mhmm... Kreidon: Woah! Tris: Hey.... Draods: ...Draa..... Blaise: A drados?? Tris: My Drados. Blasie: How long have you been training? Tris: Since I could hold a pokeball in my hands. You battle? Blaise: A bit.

Jaudiar: ...how sexy. Siren: ;) Of course it was. Athen: Yeah.....I'll bet you people get a lot of laughs throwing people off cliffs. Siren: No, that would be Jaudiar here. Jaudiar: Pugh, right. Of course....world famous Saidist Extrordinaire......come and taste the moonbow.... She grimaced, the sarcasim rolling easily off her tounge. Siren chuckled grimly, she was right.... Jaudiar: Did I mention I'm drop dead gorgeous? Athen: ...no, but we can tell. Siren: The tube top and leggings leave us in little doubt. Athen: But I'm not sure about the silver belt.... Jaudiar: Leave the family heirloom alone! Siren: ...But you'd look so good with- Jaudiar: Is nothing sacred?!?

Tris was completely still, the Drados next to her was also silent. Something was coming through the forest, and they would be the first to take care of it. A Houndour growled...then charged. Drados sprang into action.....then slam attack first winded the Houndour, then the dark veil completely beweildered it. Tris took the opertunity to throw the greatball. Houndour: Dour! Drados: ...dra..... The Drados smiled, then the Houndour reverted to energy, and disapeared into the pokeball. Tris caught it neatly and spun it on the tip of her finger. Drados smiled slightly, and his eyes flashed a pale red. Tris: Excellent work Drados... Drados: ..Drada....

As they walked, they began to notice a strange scent in the air...one they had never smelled before. After several minutes of this, Lethe and Marth stopped. Lethe: What is that? Marth: ...beyond me. Lethe: I don't like it. Marth: hm.....it's like death...but not quite. Lethe: .....*cough* ....I don't think we should linger anymore. We need to get out of here. He took the advice and the two took off, feet barely touching the ground as they raced down the path.... Lethe and Marth stopped after some time, and looked behind them. There was nothing out of the ordinary...and the scent had disapeared. Lethe gazed closer....then frowned. Marth: I think we're being followed. Lethe: .....Let them taste this.... She clasped both her hands together and tilted her head to the sky. Lethe: Elbereth Gilthoniel....lady clear, snow white of the heavens! We remember thee, we who walk this world, Of forever woven trees! Gilthoniel Elbereth, bright is your beauty, clear is your breath! Bright stars, still stars, Lead us to the Sundering Seas! Marth: ........ Lethe gazed into the forest once more.....A faint shreik was heard, then scilence. The birds were not singing, the trees were not whispering. B

Jaudiar laughed under her breath......this game of hide and seek was over. Siren advanced, she couldn't detect Jaudar's mirthful response...Athen turned and stared at the newcomer. Jaudiar crossed her arms and smirked. She was so young. Siren: Hello. Athen: Hi... Jaudiar: Salut, mellon. Siren's eyes flickered. The high silvian speech? Jaudiar: Of course. Why not? Siren: ...no reason....what are you doing? Jaudiar: Killing time. Athen: ...that's not all she's killing...

There was a slight slipping noise, then Marth whipped his head around. The point of the daggar was quiviering in the middle of a fallen leaf. Several seconds past, then the whole thing burst into flame and disapeared... Lethe: You were saying? Marth: I stand corrected. Lethe: Let's keep it that way. She winked and plucked the blade from the ground. The fire pattern was still shimmering in the center of the blade. In a quick movement, she tossed it in the air, then caught it by the hilt. Placing it in Marth's hands, she turned and shouldered her pack. Marth: Do I...keep it? Lethe: Oh no, by all means, please, give it to the nearest villan you see, so that when we're asleep at night, he can come and slit our throats.....and then we can burst into flames.

Valeigh: There is no other way. I'm sorry it's ending so quickly. Rico: You can't. I won't let you. Valeigh: You don't have a choice anymore. When I go, you might want to follow me. Don't. Live. The light in her eyes was extinguished.....she raised both hands to the sky in a gesture of rejection and denial. It was ending. The darkness was already swirling behind her eyes. Rico tried to wrestle the daggar from her hand...but it was over. Valeigh. Haustin....fly free. Ochkik: It's time. Valeigh: I am ready.

Jaudiar withdrew, twisting slightly. Athen winced. She was too good at that... Adjusting her sleeves, she turned around and sniffed the air. Athen: Someone's coming. Jaudir: A vampire... Athen: Friend? Jaudiar: ...playful. Just what I need.

Valeigh screamed, the sound echoed through the trees, making everything around them flee. Rico struggled, but it was useless, Ochkik was too much for him. Even though it was an act of desperation, it worked. Valeigh gathered the last of her strength and swung a lightning loaded fist through the air, the blast leveling the surounding trees, and knocking Ochkik back. He loosed his hold on them and they dropped to the ground. Valeigh: ....I sold my soul to you a long time ago....take it and go.

Name: Tris Sevenstar Age: 16 Starter: Drados Moveset: Slam, Ice beam, Hydro pump, Dark Veil: Completely hides the attacking pokemon, making the next move impossible to counter or defend against. Starter Description (if made-up): Like a dratini, but silver/blue with black eyes and a longer horn. Very difficult to control....unless the master is both female and can bond with pokemon. Your Description: see avatar....tall, Calm, Saturnine, wears a long cream trenchcoat. Underneath...blue tank top, cream pants Bio: Born in Steel city, Tris has been wandering a long time. Drados was a gift from her long dead father, who was unable to control him. The relationship between Tris and Drados is deep and subtle. Since they have been bonded for so long, Drados has learned to react to her body language, not necessarily her voice. This makes battling Tris much more difficult, because the next attack will always be unknown. Her past is a mystery...let's keep it that way. Hometown: Steel City

Valeigh sensed a change in the air...in that instant, she had leapt to her feet, slingblade glinting in the pale moonlight. Rico: Valeigh! Valeigh: Come out and fight! I know you're there Ochkik! Like a passing breeze, something landed next to them. Rico saw the indentation in the dead leaves, but his mind refused to comprehend. Then the image solidified.....the Lord of Death was smiling at them....fangs curving beneath blood red eyes. Valeigh's eyes flickered slightly...she had not expected him to rise to the challenge. Refusing to back down, she stepped between Rico and the Lord. Valeigh: ...What is it that you want? Rico: ... Ochkik: I would think it obvious. Valeigh: ...he's not yours. Not yet. Not while I say it.

Valeigh: ...we need to rest. Rico: Here?!? Valeigh: Of course not...there has to be some place without death and blood everywhere.... Rico: How about that place? There was a small grove of trees close by....nothing dead was making itself known. Valeigh stepped into the ring of trees and looked around, then sniffed experimentally. Valeigh: No blood anywhere... Rico: Let's crash. Valeigh: ...alright.....I guess.

Nepenthe smiled and adjusted her grip....this was much better than sitting around.....martial arts, midnight, and more than enough energy. Her opponent took a drag on his cigarette, then flicked it on the ground and stamped it out. Nepenthe: Smoking is very bad for you... Genesis: So sue me. Nepenthe: I'd rather beat you black and blue... Genesis: ...right...of course you would. Nepenthe: Still underestimating me? I would think that slash under your eye would convince you. Genesis: Just a flesh wound... She closed her eyes and sighed. Until the end of her days, she would never ever understand men....or their insistance on being cocky little to the death.

Jaudiar dropped down from her vantage point. She had seen enough. Athen turned and found himself looking straight into her eyes. She smiled and let her eyes close slightly. He felt a soft pulsing and realized her mind was plucking at his delicately...so gently in fact, he didn't realize it until she was nearly completey. "Hello Athen... I've been waiting for you." "Been some time Jaudiar..." "Of course. I knew I had to see the world before I tied myself down to another job." "......like?" "Don't know...but there's something big coming. I can feel it in the air." "The blood has changed somewhat lately..." "So what do you think Athen?" "It's strange...I've seen some vampires...but none like you." "Or none quite as old?" Jaudiar winked rougishly. She was at least 500, and had seen plenty of the world...Athen chuckled, she was teasing him again. "Well...not yet Jaudiar." "Don't hide it from me. Do I really look old?"

Lethe: Well...since you have a gift with fire, I'd like to experiment a bit... Marth: ...and I'll say it again.......Ms. Know Everything. Lethe: It's obvoius. I dug through your pack while you were asleep. No matches, no flint, no tinder. There's no way you could make any type of fire without the power of your spiritual essence.... Marth: *sigh* And here I was thinking you were a sweet young elfin girl.... Lethe: *giggle* Oh stop. Anyways....I've been doing my own magical daggars for quite some time. Every swordsman shop I run into, I pick up more. They only work once or twice.....but I was wondering if your fire could prolong their lifespan... Marth: How do you pay for them...? Lethe: Simple really.....I buy a few, make some extra to sell to other weapon's dealers....and sell the healing balms whenever I run into a pharmacist. Marth: ...Oh. I should've known... Lethe: So anyways, let me see your hands. He shrugged and held out his hands. She touched his palms, then placed a fresh daggar in them. Then she closed his fingers around them and placed her hands on top of his. Lethe: ....concentrate on the blades....fill them with your energy. Marth: ....are you sure this will work? Lethe: Touch and go... He closed his eyes, then opened them again, then his strength spiraled out of control and the entire daggar was engulfed in flames. Lethe held her hands in place, they glowed with a translucent energy, and were still unscathed. Then he stopped and inspected the blade. A twisting pattern of fire was imbeded in the blade. Lethe: Excellent! Marth: Wow...that was ...different. Lethe: Now to test it......

She picked up one of the chared peices of wood, then sniffed it. Satisfied, she set it back down and looked over at Marth. Clever concealment worked, but only for a time. Lethe opened her pack and removed another one of her daggars. Working quickly she polished the sides, then held her hands over them, murmering a quick spell. The sides flashed, then a curled red pattern appeared on the blade. She set it down and pulled out another. And time went by...

Marth turned around and beckoned for her to follow. In that second, she stared deep into his eyes and saw what had a grip on his soul. Lethe screamed aloud and immediatly had thrown both hands forward, pack abandoned on the ground. He reacted instinctively, throwing his own things to the banks of the river. Lethe: ....you're one of theirs. Marth: Going to try and kill me now? Lethe: If it comes down to that. She walked back a step then let her hands drop to her sides. Then she raised her voice in a quick worded chant. Lethe: Tenago Hai! Lasto erilian virilymiate!!! Let it go....run and hide.

Like a shadow, Jaudiar drifted through the trees, stalking her prey. He had made a serious mistake....intruding upon her territory.... As soon as his mind had cleared itself from the hateful memories.....she pounced. In a trice, she was on him, teeth bared, claws fully extended. He dropped to the ground like a stone, eyes filled with horror. Jaudiar's hair flew out behind her, giving her the air of one of the dryads of the shadows. Man: Please....don't.... Jaudiar: It is all but done... With gentle fingers the beguiled her cruel intentions, she stroked his pale skin...then unbottoned his shirt. Then she lowered her lips to his bare chest and peirced his skin. His eyes flew open and his mouth opened in a silent scream of horror. She fed from him slowly at first, then her eyes shone red and her skin became as light as the moon. In that moment, he was paralyzed with the mind numbing drug of shock...all pain left him.....as his spirit sailed for Hell. After she had finished, she stood up, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand. Humming the hunting song of the wolves, she walked through the forest silently, her features returning to normal........

Lethe: ...heh, that's what happens when you swing it on with one hand. Marth: ...*groan* Thank you for the warning...[ Lethe: ...if you weren't royalty, I would be inclined to laugh at you.... She pulled off his jacket before he could protest and examined his shoulder. Marth: ...Whadaya- Lethe: Here, I learned this from one of the medics..... POP! Marth: HEY! That hurt! She chuckled and rumaged through her pack again. In a few seconds, she pulled out a small jar of cream. With a couple of deft movements, she rubbed a portion onto the offended area. Within the next half hour, Marth noticed a definite ease in the pain. Lethe: ...Feeling better? Marth: ...*swings shoulder experimentally* yeah actually......wow...what did you do? Lethe: Popped your shoulder back into place...again. And the ointment is my own recipie. Marth: How did you make it? Lethe: ....Find the sheaf of silver grass, a leaf from the mallorn, fresh spring water from Nimrodiel, and thirty kual nuts. Grind the ingredients together by the light of the full moon. After three days, it's ready. Marth: ....amazing... Lethe: It's a gift. She smiled at him gently, then gathered the things together again. Adjusting the sheath of her blade, she looked down the path...

The two stopped by the banks of the river Anduin. Lethe bent down and refilled the flask with the icy cold water. Then she removed her pack and stretched, her back arching until her hands were resting behind her feet. Marth shrugged and dropped his pack to the ground. Marth: Break time? Lethe: .....lunch break time. Marth: Oh...right. Lethe: Your turn to cook. She turned to the river and undid the top of her tunic, letting it fall to the ground. Then her boots, skirt, and belt followed, leaving her in her lengire and and underskirt. In one smooth movement, she dove into the water, making hardly a splash.

Pay her enough, and Jaudiar will be on anybodies side. She doesn't really mind who she's fighting for, as long as her family is unscathed.
