I disagree with Neuvoxraiha about arguing about little things. I think it is perfectly normal and the best way to iron out the kinks in a relationship before something big comes along.
I'll admit that came out wrong. I meant more that if the little things are having a big impact on the relationship, then there's something wrong. Oh yes, and I never said that you didn't love her, I just said that there were some deeper issues not being worked out. Never called it child like. I'm aware that you're capable of human feeling. Somewhere. In there. Dumping someone shouldn't depend on anyone else's opinion.

You can immediately dump your loser girlfriend for being selfish with your time and being jealous about you talking on the phone with your best friend. Clearly she has control issues as well as a problem with you talking to people that aren't her. If she can't relinquish how many minutes to you to spend with someone else then I believe you need to find someone with less problems. OR Just be single and embrace the celibacy of sadness and masturbation. Sorry, I'm harsh like that. You can hardly call a relationship healthy when you squabble over the little things.

Discuss Idea: Ridiculously Over-powered and Mature Kiddies RPG Anyone?
Raiha replied to AngryBarista's topic in Theater
You do realize that he was so blisteringly vague, that it's hardly possible to fault me for being able to divine his target audience. Or is it just target? The point is that his vague accusations of what he doesn't like in rps could very well relate to say Gifts and Curses. Which you and I are both in Morphy dear. It's hard to know for sure. Maybe naming names would've been a good idea, so there was a distinct lack of confusion. Since wording things wrong here is clearly a road to Raiha Verbal Bum Rape. -

Discuss Idea: Ridiculously Over-powered and Mature Kiddies RPG Anyone?
Raiha replied to AngryBarista's topic in Theater
I do surely hope you're not complaining about a single rpg that I participate or have participated in. I.E. Gifts And Curses, In Which Stuff Happens, or Almagest Legacy. And you don't say how far back you were reading, because your insinuations in that first paragraph there are somewhat vague. But I can be vague too. Or I could get specific and kick your rear up and down the block for finding fault with people who are RPing for their benefit, not yours. So clean the wax from your ears and listen up. There is no reason for you to complain, or judge others for what they do when they have fun. If you think an RP idea is ridiculous, spare yourself the trouble and don't read it. Don't comment on it. Let people have their fun, because that's precisely why people have come here. And now to correct your "wrongness." The idea of a 17 year old with a 29 year old personality is purely your opinion. I know several dozen good writers here that could pull off such a character with no clash at all. Of course if you're referring to the multitude of RPs plaguing the boards right now that are made of failure and lame, then perhaps you have a point. Maybe a point riddled with words that don't exist, but a point anyway. I'm also not sure why you draw attention to the fact that you're also very busy, because plenty of people that do RPs here have little time on their hands, but the ability to budget time in such a way that they still can. I do evening clerical work for the regional sales manager of AT&T, I take 19 units a quarter at a state University, and I still scrape out time to spend on OB and take care of my ailing 85 year old grandmother. See? I can do it too. Your 'off the cuff' idea is not terribly original, except for the part where it demands excellent writers, which you seem to feel don't exist in this part of OB. You complain about overpowered kiddies and large RPs that are unfortunately shallow, and yet the ideas you're proposing here are comprised of essentially just that. The way you spell 'magick' for example. Did you study under Aleister Crowley or are you just trying to sound smart? Taking over the world with toddlers. I'm sorry, but unless you taught them how to drive tanks, hypnotize, and possibly fire high powered, high caliber turret guns- Oh wait, why am I apologizing? I'm not sorry. And there's something just deliciously tragic about that. Let me take the time to list just a few rather good, current RPs. I'll even add ones that I'm not participating in, simply because the people in them are just so great. "Silver One." "The Almagest Legacy." "Project Starship." "The Ragnarok" Before you start to complain about the same people over and over doing RPs you can't get behind because you can't understand them, or get admitted into them, simply stop, and think. What would a smart person do? Oh yeah. I remember now. Not. Complain. -
I'm violently ill any time I hear the name of that heretical cult. Truly. I'm glad the anger is directed at the nutters, and we haven't all been tarred with the same brush. I think their post-code, which is 66604, says a lot. Fred Phelps is the Antichrist. They better not get anywhere near Heath's send-off, that will be a sad, sad day indeed.
I'm going to tell you now, that you misread my post and seem to be operating under the delusion that I think all Christians are psychotic maniacs. I don't. I was raised a Christian and there are plenty of em that I like. But as others have pointed out, there are always the mindless heartless bastards that think they're the favored ones and therefore capable of passing judgement on everyone else around them. Oh yes, and I think you calling attention to the completely random configuration of three 6's in the code is ridiculous. Save the conspiracy theories for when we all have our tin foil hats. Note that I said radical Evangelical, not ALL CHRISTIANS. Consider what I said before complaining that I'm a bigot.
I'm definitely not looking forward to watching the news for the next 9 months, though. Anna Nicole was bad enough.
Yeah but she was an annoying *****. Heath Ledger was handsome and an excellent actor. And to be fair, I called it earlier as soon as I heard about it around 12 pm.

Oh dearie me. I did like him ever so much. This means though that Dark Knight will have to be his cinematic legacy. I can only hope that it's as good as it looks in the previews. And if not, at least I'll always have the happy feelings of loving the preview... And before anyone else calls it, I'd like to say right now that there are probably going to be unkind radical Evangelicals that say his death came as a punishment from God for being in Brokeback Mountain. There. I called it.

Like she'd been hit on the head she was gone, dead to the world, and in fact she didn't even wake up when the orderlies helped her into a quiet room. Lady Catharine exchanged a few brief words with the attending nurse and then sat herself down firmly next to Macey, holding her hand at moments. Several minutes later, Macey's eyes flickered, and she opened them to stare up at the starkly white ceiling. Normally she wouldn't have come around, but the bed had felt strange, and there she was. She turned her head and saw Lady Catharine resting in the hardback chair, her head tilted back slightly. Another of her servants was sitting in a corner, a satchel of Macey's things and Fonty''s camera resting next to it. She was completely asleep herself, snoring just a tiny bit. And with a little movement, she noticed her left arm was hooked up to an IV drip. She sighed and looked back to the woman she saw as mother. "Aunt Catharine?" "Yes dear?" She blinked a few times, as if to awaken herself. Macey put on a rather accurate concerned expression; even though for some reason her thoughts felt fuzzy and unfocused. "You should go on home. It's so late right now." "Oh is it? I had hardly noticed." "You should be in a comfortable bed. Not that this one is, but-" The attending doctor came bustling in at that point, holding a notebook with loose sheafs of papers fluttering around, bringing with him a veritable cloud of madness. Macey turned a bit and looked at the man, her dislike of being in the hospital suddenly intensifying. He flipped through a few charts, examined her pupils briskly, and then marked some things down. "How are you feeling Miss Almagest?" "Like a hundred miles of bad cliche." ".....anything more specific?" "Well, let's see. I have a mild concussion from being in an explosion as well as several small lacerations and until recently was covered in components from said explosive and now I'm getting asked questions by a doctor that clearly shouldn't have been graduated from his school." The doctor's eyes narrowed, but were instantly countered by a sharp look from Macey herself. He backed down immediately, and slunk through the door, mildly subdued. Macey heaved a sigh of relief while her servant snickered in the corner. Lady Catharine chuckled to herself and gave Macey a gentle kiss on the forehead before heading out the door for home. Once she'd left, Macey leapt up out of bed and jerked out her IV lines. With the servant's help, she picked up her brother's camera and consulted the charts outside to find him. Several turns left and right, and she found his room. Somewhat pale, but breathing quite well, he looked better than she'd expected and slipped into his room. He came awake almost at once at her entrance and she set down his camera by the side of his bed, sinking into a nearby chair with a bump and a sigh. "My tests didn't reveal anything out of the ordinary. I'm sorry Fonty." "Oh it's alright Macey. How're you feeling?" "Kinda muzzy. My head feels like it's been soaked in custard and held over an open flame." "That's not too bad. At least you didn't have bullets in you."

Oh good, AM remembered me. *shoots a dark look in James's direction* I wonder if Macey'll give her doctor a hard time. They say doctors are the worst patients.... And odds are she'll trip in to see Fonty while she's there.

Sue me for loving the phrase. I just think it's so fun. But not half as fun as the idea of Crystia drowning you as a demonic sirenic mermaid. And that still doesn't help my problem of being half dead on a street corner.

I suppose my only question is where the hell did you put Macey. She shouldn't be in too good condition after the explosion. And she was not two feet away from you before your post. So unless you conveniently leaned her into a corner and let her fall asleep on her feet...

He leaned over to listen for a heartbeat, when Macey gently nudged him aside. Everyone's ears were ringing from the explosion, but she still tried to speak and make herself heard. Perhaps the words came out too loudly, but she couldn't even hear Vincent coming down the stairs. "Let me. It's my specialty after all." Jack coughed in the background, as Macey leaned forward slightly, and placed one bare hand against her beloved uncle's chest. Harrison's face was closed and unreadable, as Macey's expression darkened. Her fingers could feel his heartbeat, slow and dull compared to Harrison's or her own. And in her mind she could see the disease eating away at him. Then, with a flash of insight, she put her fingers against his chest again, and this time closed her eyes and added her other hand, the dried blood caking on her forehead. "Daedalus? Are you down here?" Vincent stepped into the wine cellar, and the first thing he saw was his former wife bent over her uncle, her hands over his heart. All at once, he saw the blood and the ruined, burnt out bomb, and would've said something, when Jack stood and walked over to where he stood, unwilling to stay so close to Macey. Harrison's face looked drawn and expressionless, and he seemed to barely breathe. "I can feel his heartbeat. It almost seems normal. But for his other injuries, they should be a concussion and general trauma from the explosion." And then she caught it. The slight fluttering of his arteries, an irregularity, that spelled his death. The next thing everyone knew, Macey's eyes had opened wide, her hands had jerked back from his chest and a sob burst from her throat like a shout. Then she buried her face in her hands and keened, howling with grief and rage. Harrison saw her face, and though every part of him wanted to react the same, he didn't. Instead he stood and walked over to Jack and Vincent. His voice calm and measured, even though it cost him dearly. "Please help me take my father upstairs. He needs medical attention." "Of course. We'll go now." Jack slowly lifted Daedalus up, and with the help of several of the guards, carried him up the stairs and towards the front gate. Harrison went with them, leaving Macey in the cellar, knowing she was beyond anyone's voice. Vincent waited a few beats until she'd stopped screaming, then bent down and lifted her to her feet. He didn't mind the streaks of blood staining his uniform, or the tears that were streaking down her face, turning the dried blood back to liquid. Unconsciously, Macey put her arms around him and sobbed into his chest, while he slowly led her back up the stairs. And in between gasps for air, he heard her. "He's dying." Vincent didn't say anything at first, simply let her express her sadness, knowing full well that he could do nothing at all. At the stop of the stairs, it seemed she'd almost completely gotten a hold of herself. And she pulled away from him, thankful, but at the same time, almost reluctant. Her expression iced itself over, and Vincent knew she was swallowing down her pain. She'd done it dozens of times after they'd separated, and she was doing it now. It was the only way she could function. "First the disease, and now this. He won't be here for long."

Eiyaga lay sprawled in the abandoned street, the water pelting down around her body, bones cracked and protruding through flesh. Her ribcage had suffered serious damage, her right shoulder was completely wrenched around, and her left knee was shattered. Her breath rattled in her mangled throat and she struggled to remember what was happening to her. And aloud, in the physical, her breath caught and began to force itself through her throat. Panting, gasping for air, her moans barely heard against the sound of rain on pavement. In her mind, she muttered and whispered to herself, utterly confused. She couldn't even begin to sort through the layers of thought and subconscious feeling he'd pulled down over her. Instead, she couldn't even blink, couldn't reason, the blood fluttering from her skin, down across her body. And there she stayed, curled up halfway, barely breathing, naked and cold. The parts of her flesh that weren't ripped or torn were marked over with gooseflesh. And she whimpered in the back of her throat, lost in her mind. Her lips moved silently. "That didn't go well..... .....but did it?" "There's no time. There's no thought to it. I'm empty and mindless in the void. But I think... ...I can't be mindless. But where am I? It's cold. And I'm so alone. There's no warmth anywhere. And I can't stop this flow." What flow? What was this? She should be healing. She shouldn't be lying half dead on the road like an animal. He wouldn't make her die. Her cheek pressed up against the cold asphalt, with the blood and tears and rain streaking down her face. Why was she sad? What was so wrong after all? This was how all her relationships always turned out. Only the others hadn't been able to hurt her this well. "He should get a medal for this one." Only her lips moved. Her eyes were still wide open and staring. And the cold seeped into her body, slowing the bleeding, numbing the pain, even as it seared across her as if she'd been laid on a grill. And she breathed easier, and easier. And slowly, almost agonizingly, her flesh began to sew itself together. Moving as slowly as anything, her shoulder pushed itself back, even without Eiyaga's conscious orders. "I am Eiyaga. Not Dani. I'm not made of darkness and empty void in thought. I'm made of pain and new pain on top of old wounds." Her one eye began to blink. The other empty space remained empty and inert. In the back of her mind, Eiyaga Meya remembered who she was, and began to drift upwards through the thoughts Dani had left inside her. Turns out, her mind could heal like her body. It just took forever. Still unmoving on the ground, still lying in her own blood, the Zodiac waited for her mind to completely return.

I need someone new to play with. Actually. I need someone to find her broken and bleeding body in the street. And I DO like her. But the Marquis De Sade is more up to my speed... But seriously. I've been in relationships where I was so smothered I felt I HAD to cheat, just to get back some of my own. And I've been in others where the partner trusted me implicitly and was so secure in our relationship that I could go out late to clubs dancing and partying without him turning a hair. To his thinking, as long as I came home to him every night, he didn't care in the least. And that's the kind of relationship I'm looking for now in my woefully single state. I do however believe that once I'm engaged, married, etc, my interest in cheating will be severely diminished. I think swearing your life to another person implies that your reproductive organs are for their personal use and vice versa. I've been cheated on before. Nobody ever admitted it to my face, but I'm not stupid and I've figured it out. Now I'll tell you this from experience. It is far easier to deal with death than cheating. With cheating you can let your anger burn like fire. But with death, it's not the same. It feels different, it hurts different. While being cheated on rankles and burns, getting over a death means you'll just be spending the next few months in misery and confusion. And then just confusion.

Vicky smiled in a rather knowing way as I took a bite of coconut cake this time. And felt that familiar buzzing sensation I normally associate with too much whiskey and not enough chaser. When I blinked again, I found the whole lot of us transported onto a Caribbean island. Apparently inhabited by boring looking servants as before, and just us Ob people. I looked down and noticed that everyone?s outfits had changed to suit the weather. James was reclining in a chair in a smashing cream colored linen suit, while throngs of fangirls, literally ha-ha, waved him with palm fronds. Desbreko nearby, was receiving similar treatment, only in board shorts and a distinct lack of shirt. His fans were most appreciative. I saw to my vague pleasure that I was wearing a simple black one piece, cut low in the back, high at the hip, and to my right was Indifference in a purple bikini, sprawled out on a towel on the sand. The men for the most part milled around in swimming trunks or board shorts, with one or two flowery shirts. I suppose the more garish the shirt, the gayer you were. Unless you were a Farcry fan. But seriously folks. I couldn?t see DigitalBoy anywhere, but then I couldn?t see Sandy either, so goodness knows what was going on. And where. And how. ?Maybe they got stuck somehow in a backwash.? Aryanna remarked as she passed by, her dog frolicking at her ankles, and her flowery ruffled pink tankini swirling in the breeze. I looked up and saw palm trees swaying in the wind, and Allamorph up one as you might imagine, hacking away at a cluster of coconuts with his machete. I sidestepped neatly, hoping disaster wouldn?t ensure. I mean after all, that?d be quite a way to go. Cause of death? Blunt force trauma from coconut. Nearby a band played the steel drums, and a small throng had started dancing away. It felt like a James Bond movie. Without Halle Berry. Instead, I looked down towards the beach and saw Revelation rising from the water in a pale blue and white dotted bikini, pushing her hair from her face in a remarkably Bond girl way. I held up a drink a passing servant had handed me. "Mojito?" Nearby Beth was tossing about a Volleyball, sometimes knocking it to Rach, who clearly had no idea which end to hold. She frolicked over, there was no other word for it, believe me, and sat down on one of the towels under a rather expansive beach umbrella. ?Isn?t this gorgeous? Much better than the last place.? ?I miss my knives.? I mused to myself inwardly, wondering where I?d find weapons on a beach of all places. ...short of a burning torch of fire. Speaking of which, Premonition had started a bonfire with Allamorph and Shinmaru, with Boo tossing on dried pieces of palm to the most wonderful sparks and crackling sounds. The sun was already setting, but still Charles and Heaven?s Cloud talked. And I looked up on the lifeguard tower and saw Petie sitting with his lifesaving device across his knees, looking very officious. I tried not to laugh, but as I turned out towards the water, I saw Shy attempting to swim with rather dull results. Turns out it?s really difficult to swim in two feet of water. But at least he wasn?t in any danger of drowning. Indifference sat up in a swirl of purple, adjusting her black silk hip wrap and held up a hand to shade her eyes. ?It looks like Shy?s doing rather well, don?t you think?? ?Well, he?s not drowning yet.? It was of course, at that point, that he began to drown. In two feet of water. I wondered if drunkenness was a side effect of all this time traveling.
