1. Saturnine walked down the hall, map in hand. She had watched the others and also her new leader. Roland. She liked him well enough. He looked competent, and she had gotten a sense of power from him. As she walked, she took the time to review the others that had come to fight. Kyss Crafter, Ashem Dal, Azalea Oakley, Zhuge Wei, and Phoenix. Everyone seemed motivated by revenge. Maybe she was the only one whose life hadn't been directly ruined by Chaos. The Lattinae sect was well hidden, well protected, all pacifists, all benevolent. Except her. She wanted to fight and rid the world of Chaos simply because he was evil. A scourge to all free men. And those he had conquered she was sure. Her elders knew she was better off fighting instead of staying in the temple and slowly fermenting. Now she was here, in a hallway leading to her room for the night. In her room for the night, in a house that she had never seen before today. Her things were already on the bed. Large bed. Too big for her. Much too big. Or maybe she was used to monastary style rooms. "Palatial." Saturnine ran a hand over her belongings. A long blade, blessed by the priests of Lattinae, crystal cut vials, her tunics, chain mail, and gauntlets. All of it white. Linen, white steel, clear tones, nothing dark. The cloak she had around her shoulders she swirled off and hung over a chair. Woven from spidersilk. Also white. She undressed slowly, like she did many other things. There was no point in rushing. A sunset would begin soon. She sighed and put on cleaner clothes. A white dress, something she didn't wear often, because more often than not she was wearing a tunic and chain mail. The daughter of Lattinae looked young, younger than her age, but she didn't mind. Running a brush through her hair, she walked to the window and looked out. A green below, perfect for sitting, but probably used for fighting practice. She set her things down and began braiding her hair. While she braided, she left her room and walked downstairs again. She was a curious girl. Far too curious to stay in one place all her life. But once she was outside, she wasn't sure what to do with herself. She didn't have to go through her cleansing until after the sunset. Something caught her eye. Horses. Her training in the temple had given her a slight second sight, but it wasn't very good and never very clear. Across the green she saw the stables and ran. To\o anyone watching, she would've looked lie a nymph. Barefoot, hair streaming behind her, dress following suit. The stables were huge, as she had guessed. The pleasing smells of alfalfa, horse sweat, and drying hay reached her nose. The whickering and stamping of many horses reached her ears about the same time and she walked in, breathing lightly. "It's like I died and went to heaven." Several stable hands eyed her, but backed away when she looked at them. One stall caught her attention. A pink nose, a white forelock, two genitian eyes. A white stallion. Big, long legs, handsome in general. One of the stable hands called outa warning, but she ignored it. She stepped closer, enough to make complete eye contact with his right side. Once there she didn't move. Instead she spoke gently, letting him know she was there, watching his ears prick forward instead of back. She held out one hand and he sniffed it, nostrils widening. "Hullo. I'm Saturnine. Who are you?" He didn't respond, of course, but he did sniff her hand again, as if he was looking for a treat. She laughed and scratched his forehead under the halter. He closed his eyes, letting her see long lashes. When she stopped he nuzzled her hand, asking for more. She opened his stall and he came out, as meek as a lamb. Without the luxury of a saddle, bit, or bridle she took a hold of his mane and climbed onto his back. He shivered, but didn't move. Once she gripped his sides with her knees he walked forward. Then, once he saw the stable doors were open he began cantering. She leaned over his ear and whispered something nobody else could hear. Ten seconds later the pair were out the door and heading out past the town. Saturnine laughed uproariously, unafraid, not worried in the least where he might take her. And all he wanted to do was run.
2. Name: Saturnine Lattinae Age: 24 Personality: Quiet, very religious, not prone to cursing, speaking her own opinion without being prompted, and being over excited. Appearence: see attatchment. Wears white linen more often than not, changeable hair color, wavering between white, pale blonde, and light blue. Dragon's Appearence (Optional): see attatchment. The wings are being hunched over, normally their spread is large enough to warrant flight. She rides him much like one would ride a hippogriff. Not that that should help you. Weapon: see attatchment. For clarification, the dark point is a shadow, not a fault with the long blade. Ambition to Fight Chaos: Religious belief that he is evil and must be destroyed. This is the best reason, the others include his wanton destruction of innocent lives, those including women, children, and the old harmless. Her sect is sworn to protect these kind. Personally, she thinks her sect doesn't take resisting him far enough. Three Crests: Crest of Light; the image below is partially what she looks like when glorified. Crest of the Dragon Crest of Empowerment Your Encounter With Juren: Saturnine pulled her hood down, no longer obscuring the general public's view of her face. Without a word, she handed the reins of her horse to a page and walked up the steps into the hall. Juren was waiting for her. Once he saw her he walked straight up to her and introduced himself. She listened patiently. Then she handed him the scroll he had sent to her two months ago. "I'm Saturnine of the Lattinae sect. You sent this to us. They sent me to represent them." "Good good, I'm glad you were able to make it." "Yes." She looked down at her hands, quiet and patient. There was an uncomfortable silence. He gestured helplessly. She followed his lead, feeling intensely out of her element. She was not a fan of being enclosed in stone castles, and she was even less of a fan of being so close to people that didn't share her beliefs. "Are you ready to meet Roland?" "Your master...?" "I work for him. Yes." "I suppose."
3. The three Shintais chosen for Shang Guan Liang: Beast Shintai: Change into feline shape, a cat equal to her size, either a juvenille tiger or a mature bobcat. Being lithe and slender, she's more comfortable with this form than, say, a bear shape. Jade Shintai: Because of her size and build, she's especially suited for weightlessness. Yang Prana: Illusions often are made to enhance her appearance, adding or subtracting years, adding or subtracting clothing, and so on and so forth.
4. Name: Tinker Bell or Tink Character: The pixie, Tinker Bell Age: N/A Appearance: Very tiny, no bigger than two of your fingers, four wings, green tunic, devilish smile. Tink also has brownish blonde hair, and is often surrounded by pixie dust. This can be used to illustrate things, or change her appearance. Bio: Full of mischief, but completely devoted to Peter Pan, Tinker Bell is famous for her temper, her ability to make people fly, and how conveniently she fits into lanterns when being abducted by pirates. Being a pixie of course, she is only able to keep one thought in her head at a time, and more often than not she's jealous of girls that Peter Pan talks to or worse, spends time with. These women include Indian Princess Tiger Lily and Wendy. She's smart enough to not be jealous when he talkes to the mermaids. She is liked by the Lost Boys, who believe everything she says. At one time she saved Peter Pan's life and was saved from death for it. So while she's a mischevious little trickster, she does have some redeeming qualities. Oh yes. Very few can understand what she says, she's often reduced to pantomime and illustration with pixie dust.
5. Than it'll be creepier to know that this is a true story. He left those letters on my computer. I narrated the rest so it would make sense, but that is what happened.
6. As some of you may know, I was once in a very abusive relationship with someone. He's left me letters he's typed directly into my computer. He's a paranoid schizophrenic and diagnosed manic-depressive. You think I'd want to ever be with someone like that for the rest of my life? God I hope not. When you read my words, keep in your mind a vision of a man with a knife to his wrist, and me begging him to not kill himself over me. "D?Ann?I?ll find you?I love you and nothing can change that?the long wait will be one of the most trying times in my life." Three years ago I was in love with this man. His name, I'll call him Zeno. He was good to me for a time. And I was anything but disloyal to him. I was faithful, even when he wasn't. I didn't know he was cheating on me. He had sex with an old girlfriend, as if taking my virginity against my will wasn't enough. But I stayed with him because I didn't know what I could do. He never used protection; I could've become pregnant with his child. How would I have told my mother? I couldn't face her that way. Eventually I told my family what had happened to me. They told me to break up with him. And I tried. For two months I told him that I wouldn't date him any longer and that he could find himself someone new to torment. He fell to his knees in front of me one morning. And begged me to take him back. I refused. He said he would do anything for me. I told him that he was over reacting. I continued my day at school and came home. Soon he called me but I refused to talk to him. His mother called mine and tried to get her to talk to me. I refused again. The more I heard what was happening, the more I was convinced I had done the right thing in breaking it off with Zeno. I saw him at school the next day and I couldn't believe my eyes. He was back with the girl he had slept with while we were together. One Day. And he was back with her. It was like he couldn't go a minute without being with another human being. Then he started confronting me in hallways. I walked away from him when I could until he cornered me. He kissed me and said he would always love me. I pushed him away and ran. When school finally let out and I graduated, I moved with my family and went to a college out in the middle of California. I was happier there because it took me away from people like Zeno. Once there I began to feel normal again. One night, the day before Christmas, he called me. He said he was in trouble and needed help. I drove 50 miles to the coast to find him bleeding from a wound on his arm. I took care of him, took him back home because my parents were on vacation. Once there he fell asleep next to me. I didn't like being so close to him, but he was in trouble, so I wanted to help. When I woke up, he had already had sex with my body again. I didn't say anything about it, but took him home. Later I discovered a love letter on my computer. There was so much I wanted to say in that car. So damn much that I couldn't get a single word out. Dammit I love you. Its really selfish of me to wish fervently that you not get a boyfriend or find anyone you can see yourself with. I really want you happy. I want to be the one your happy with. I don't care what I have to say or do, how far I must travel, how drastically I must change, and how hard I must work...it all doesn't matter. The moment I seen you drive off I cried. I almost got in my car to follow you. I owe you so much for making such an insane drive twice on your own. I LOVE YOU. I can't say it enough. You don't need to be with me for me to forgive you, I forgave you from day one, just had so much trouble saying it because I wanted you so badly. I was and am such a fool! Words fail me. This morning was the best time in my life for as long as I can remember. Not just because of the insanely sexy body of yours, but because I was happy. Free. I was at peace. I was with the woman I would marry at the sight of a priest on the street. "Hey, buddy! Fifty bucks if you marry us right here and now!" This morning was also an extreme torment that has left me hollow and lonely and lost and weak. It's rent my soul to the core, for today I had to part with you. I know in my heart I will find you again and we'll be together without contest if you are still able to do so. I myself will never replace you. I can wait that long. Dear God I love D'Ann. If I am to pray for anything, it?s for her. For you. I think I'm going to have to skip a few meals and go a few days without sleep again. I don't want to, but it?s not in me to take care of myself just yet. I want you to scold me and say, "If I see that you slimmed down enough to wear my bra the next time we meet, I?ll beat you like a bar wench!" Or "If you aren't well rested when we meet again, I'm going to knock you out cold with my paper fan!" GOD so much to say to you. So much time to make up for. I lost you!!! How could I? This realization brings tears anew. But at last I have you again, miles be damned. Good lord, where was my life going? How could I have let my...inner coldness, inner demon or whatever...ever overrun my heart? It beats furiously now, D'Ann. I look to the future now without the cold hard knot in my chest. I see your face (among other things that belong to your physique...jk) and I cry, but not out of desperate fear or reluctant acceptance anymore. I can hardly wait for the day to come when I can wrap my arms around you once more and cry my little lost boy head off. I don't even need the Tink bitch; I can fly just thinking of that reunion. This email is very long...You need to play with a dead chicken in order to cook it...you need to SLEEP. Write me every chance you get. Tell me how things go for you, even if it?s about how burned your waffles are or how lumpy your pillow feels on a particular night. I'm not being obsessive...I?m being sorry for missing out on so much time. I love you. Yours always, Zeno I was very afraid. He was stalking me and I couldn't do anything about it. He started calling me after that. Soon I moved down to the dorms at U.C. Irvine. Somehow he found my address and visited me one afternoon. He stayed for three days. During those three days, I was miserable, and frightened. It never occurred to me to tell him to leave and never come back. Much less call the police. Eventually I went to a friend's room and sat down with him for a few minutes. He said if he had a cigarette and some vodka, he would give them to me. I said that if he had them, I'd take them. I had never been so depressed over one human being. I went back upstairs and found another letter on my computer, this, a continuation of the other. PS. I have reread this message and beg your pardon for a few edits. The date is now Friday Feb 18th. I have this chance to talk with you. I understand how you feel. But like you said last night...you feel you need to hold onto something but you don?t know what. I prey with all my heart and soul to anyone, any God or Buddha or Indian Pope that it be I. D?Ann, you say you?ve been hurt too much, that you are afraid of more hurt. Unintentional hurt. ?I hate you, you?re a cold bitch and I wish I never met you? will never, ever come from my lips. Nor will I ever go behind your back about my problems or whatever. You know what I mean. D?Ann, I vow on my life never to hurt you, intentionally or not. But if I do unintentionally hurt you, I can guarantee it will not be a serious hurt. The worst it might be is I forgetting a certain day or forgetting to pick something up at the store you wanted. I know you aren?t looking for a boyfriend and I remember you telling me you like being single. But D?Ann, I see it in your eyes. Behind the fear, that is. It saddens me to see your fear overpowering your love, but I can understand that, too. You care about me. You said so yourself; ?I care about you a lot, Ronnie?. Those words haunt me (in a very good way) every time I am faced with a possible risk. I try not to do what would make you worry, but D?Ann, think for a moment. What do you think ?I care about you? translates to? The answer is three simple words that are being held back by your fears. I am not telling you how you feel. I am showing you what I have seen, what I have felt and what I know. I love you. You love me. Let?s get together and kill Barney. Ha ha. That sound like a date or what? Jk. But seriously...when the time comes...no, this I must discuss with you in person. I know your hurt, I see your fear, and I feel your reluctance. The rest we must discuss in person. Until then, Lina Incarnate, adieu. I saved everything, and when he left I took myself out to the shower down the hall and scrubbed my body over and over in water so hot it seared my skin. Finally I stopped and opened every window in my room. I had to purify everything from his touch, from his scent. I cleaned all my clothes, I changed all my sheets, I threw away the gifts he had given me, I didn't want them. I folded everything and put it all away. By then the smell had gone and I was ready to do the rest. I lit a stick of incense and put it by the mantel. Then I poured out a small amount of salt by the door. Eventually I felt better and put my things away. Then my boyfriend called and took me to his house for the weekend. We spent our time together, even though I was miserably sick with a cold. He took the kindest care of me, so different from when I was with Zeno. I couldn't understand how two men could be so different. But I think it's a stretch to call Zeno a man. Now he leaves me alone. It's like he's finally gotten the picture. I'll never love him. I'll never marry him. I hate him. I took care of him and he was cruel to me in return. It could've destroyed my faith in humanity, but I refuse to let that happen. I have many things to do in my life. I'm 19 now. And I have a boyfriend that cares for me deeply. I study at the University of California in Irvine and I do my best to be a good student. I like living.

8. Name: Shang Guan Liang Note: Because she is Chinese, Shang Guan is her last name and Liang is her first. Age: 19 Cause of death: Trauma to the body from being pushed from a window on the 20th story. Personality: Emotinally vulnerable, vindictive, and quick to take offense. She's mentally as delicate as she looks outwardly, and she doesn't seem to be very strong. However, once you push her far enough, she'll lash back at you with a strength that doesn't make sense for her appearance. Appearance: see attatched image... Weapon Of Choice: Chut Gheh, Seven Section Chain whip Bio: The daughter of negligent parents, she ended up raising herself. Her parents cared enough to make sure she went to school, even starting her out in a junior college, where she absorbed learning like a sponge. However, that's where her common sense and good judgement evaporated. She became involved with a man she barely knew, but met in a club one evening. This turned out to be one of the bigger mistakes she had made in her life. Liang's new boyfriend turned out to be a violent, dangerous womanizer. After he tired of her, which was quickly, she realized her big mistake. Not only did he beat her, but he consistently threatend her life whenever she did something to displease him. This all came to a head eventually, and resulted in her untimely death. Sample of Character: "Liang, baby are you home?" The girl in question, no more than 19 maybe, was sitting in the bedroom of his apartment, right where he wanted her. She knew it was best to respond promptly, so she stood and walked out into the front room where he was standing there. "I'm right here. Is there something wrong?" Something was always wrong. He looked angry. She hadn't done anything at all. She had her hair pulled into the low ponytails he liked. She was wearing the clothes he had asked her to wear. She had come when he called for her. Why couldn't she please him? "Everything will be fine momentarily." He walked up to her as calmly as if he was going to brush some stray hair from her eyes, and gripped her by the throat with one hand. She struggled weakly, but knew it was better to not fight him when he got like this. Her boyfriend half dragged, half carried her to their shared bedroom, and pushed her down onto the bed. Knowing what was coming, she went very still, and leaned her head back. Very quickly, her clothes were removed, her panties slid down, and she was being pressed against the mattress. When he was finished, he picked her up, and walked her to the window. She was so weak she could barely stand. He opened it and brought her up to his mouth for one long, slow, sweet kiss. "Goodbye." She looked up at him, uncomprehending, eyes filling with tears. But it was too late. One quick push, and she fell, twenty stories down, looking like an angel. Her naked body hit the concrete with a dull thud, the blood pooling from behind her head. She died on impact. Nobody survives a fall like that. Passersby noticed a naked girl on the sidewalk, covered in blood, and remarked at the shame. She had probably been raped, had an unhappy relationship. But now she was free.
9. I met someone a few days ago in the Student Center. He had very long brown hair, pulled back and tied neatly, long black leather trench coat and boots. Wore a black shirt and tighter fitting Levi Jeans. From what I could see, he liked me quite a bit, which I had no arguments with. I was naturally very open and flirtatious, but like most men, he wasn?t that responsive. He was very shy until he discovered that I could pluck eyebrows. I borrowed his tweezers and flipped myself from his left side onto his lap. Now straddling him, wearing my Tae Kwon Do pants and a white sports bra. He didn?t say too much and I commenced with the plucking. Eventually, when I was finished, I handed him his tweezers but remember that I?m still straddling his hips. I look over my shoulder at the girls at the tables. ?Should I kiss him?? He didn?t say a word, meek as a lamb to any slaughter. A British lamb to an American girl slaughter. I so totally rock, go me. ?YES!? The girls were unanimous, laughing their heads off. He stared at me like I had lost my mind. Then I placed both hands on either side of his face, turning him to face me instead of the wall to hide his blush, leaned forward, and kissed him. Smack on the lips, and he was so surprised he didn?t kiss back until about five seconds into it. His moans were delightful and I flicked my tongue against his lips, and then pulled away. Eventually I slid back off his lap to the middle part of the couch. He was completely struck dumb, crossed his legs, and tried to breathe while melting right into the couch. I laughed and we kept on talking, until I turned back and kissed him again, this time massaging the side of his face with my right hand and letting my left explore his chest. This time he kissed back and rubbed my shoulder and neck, his tongue rubbing into mind. It was so erotic and everything, I nearly died. He walked out about five minutes later and smoked a cigarette to get over the shock of having a beautiful female rubbing up against him and making out with him for the first time in a year. Later I sat on his lap and he placed both hands on my bare shoulders. His nails were long, and they grazed my shoulders gently, felt under my bra, and down my spine where he and yet another gorgeous female tested my backbone to find the gap in my vertebrae. I smiled and ground my hips into his. Eventually he leaned forward and sank his teeth into my neck after I had already gotten his twice and bitten his lower lip good and hard. I moaned and arched up and back. His teeth felt pointed to me and seemed to pierce my skin. While he bit, his hands surged across my back and pressed me tightly to him. I tried not to panic and faint with pleasure, but either way it was a sudden power switch from me to him and the quickness it took place in was dizzying to me in my new and vulnerable state. We went for a walk, he smoked a cigarette, and I took his arm, as it was offered so gallantly. It was interesting to think that although he?s British and 13 years older than me, I see nothing wrong with he and I flirting and making out intermittently. His smoking wasn?t a turn off for me like it was with other people, instead it added to his mysterious character, which I found myself quite smitten with. Oh dear. His accent was very sexy and came through at the oddest time. While we were on the couch earlier he said, for everyone to hear, including another British boy, ?Englishmen don?t come. They arrive.? So wrong, so naughty, oh my. We stopped at my car and I put my purse and belt into the side seat. He hugged me and we leaned against the side. He kissed my shoulders and felt the softness of my skin, commenting on it occasionally. I asked what he was looking at. He said he was watching the expressions on my face and said that I had the most beautiful lips and eyes he had ever seen. I smiled and went up on tiptoe for a kiss, which got stronger as my hands explored his chest. I tweaked his nipples and he gasped, claiming that he had an extremely sensitive chest. Without warning I tilted his head to one side and bit deep into his neck. He moaned with pleasure and felt up my breasts at my moving his hands up to where I wanted them. His fingers were soft and gentle, and he smelled of cigarettes and cologne. As my teeth dug into his neck I could hear him moaning and gasping, which served to tell me to dig my teeth in deeper. I also picked up his wrist and bit deep into the flesh, nearly piercing his skin. He almost called me a lycanthrope, while stroking my hair, until I told him that I was a Tristae witch and not a lycan in the least. It was so romantic and sexy I nearly fainted. I looked down and he stood over me, holding my shoulders with his long fingers, and I felt very young compared to him. It was a very odd moment, and I felt so little and emotionally vulnerable, I nearly melted straight into his arms. He held me close to his chest, nuzzling my throat and chest. My knees nearly gave way and he held me around the hips and lower back. I turned around so my back was to him. He leaned over and slid one hand down my pants, feeling up my ass cheeks. By his admonition, they are very firm and delightful, at least to him. Earlier he tried to slid his hands down my front, but I caught his wrist, since I hadn?t shaved and didn?t think it would be as sexy as it could?ve been. He contented himself with stroking the side of my face. We came back and I sat in a chair across from him. He leaned back and looked up, eventually closing his eyes. I asked if he was sleeping. He said no, as if he could, with a raging hard on in his pants. I laughed and snuggled up to him. When I looked over to him a few minutes later and he mouthed the words, ?You are so beautiful.? I blushed, naturally, and demurred as we Asians do. When he had to leave he kissed me so gently, until I bit down on his lip. He laughed and walked off, while I tried to walk in a straight line, I was feeling so star struck and sexy. What?s more, I felt loved.

13. Kane stood and exited the room. Once he was in the hall he turned in a circle, looking for the exit. Like a wraith, Evrada was standing several feet away. He flicked his eyes in her direction, detecting a subtle change in her energy. She raised her head slightly, not quite facing him, but enough towhere he wasn't looking at the crown of her head anymore. He noticed the burn mark in her forehead, a perfect oval. She gestured towards what he certainly hoped was the exit. Then she began to walk down the hall, clock obscuring any view he had hoped to gain. They passed several serving girls and the like who tittered and giggled behind upraised sleeves and aprons. Evrada put a palm to her forehead, as if supressing a blinding headache. As soon as they were out of earshot, Evrada flicked on her second sight. It showed that the serving girls were now exclaiming how he had looked at her....and her only. Kane had considered saying something to the effect of: "Are those women under your control?" When Evrada turned, at the end of the hall, and looked him in the eye, one eyebrow raised, both pupiless eyes giving him pause. "Is there something you want from me sir?" "You should know what I want." "I don't think my master would approve." She kept her voice low, and at her last words, she dropped her head slightly. The color surged into her cheeks, 350 volts, minimum. Kane would've touched her cheeks, both a bright pink, but she turned instead and looked away, seemingly wavering. On one hand, if it didn't interfere with her work, of which there was none at the moment...what was to hinder? On the other, if she said yes, what would he think of her? She bit her lower lip, something he found amazingly cute. Evrada shook her head to clear it, then flicked a finger at him, beckoning him to follow her up the stairs. As she did, he picked up her scent, pheremones, similar to the kind she had used on Gaul. But then again, she wouldn't have needed those to ensure that he follow her. He knew instinctively that she would lead him to her room, and she did. The door opened when she waved her hand over it, and he stepped inside.
14. Blood Like Water-[M-V] Feeling so out of sorts today, Running around, getting things done, never not nearly enough, And there's always the nagging fear- That something will be out of place. And the knot won't come undone inside my stomach, I feel as if I've been destroyed and I am afraid and I am lonely. Underneath this mask of flippancy, I feel, angry at life, and always nearly insane. Something isn't right inside, Something isn't right outside, But I'm too afraid to look and find out what's going on, In the darkness that I call my own. Water collects in pools around me, On skin, with steam rising, obscuring my narrow vision, It scored my skin over and left it, Pink from being burned again, And again and again and again, But it's only self inflicted and it feels so good. There's that intake of breath just before, Water hits, and marks skin, even if it's imagined, I still know that this isn't healthy, Even if it washes away the filth, That's real or imagined and collecting on my body, And I've begun to feel even more these passing days... ...A growing sense of urgency, To leave, get far away, from this horrible place, And even if it's all in my mind, I still feel that I'm being watched on all sides, And every move I make is disapproved of by everyone, That they merely tolerate my presence. Someone long dead knew no man wanted that, Man wanted, acceptance over tolerance, and to be loved, The best feeling anyone could have, And the feeling I don't have, Because instead of a place where nobody looks at me, Without hatred... I'm here in a place where everyone does, And she, my awful roommate, knows she hates me, It's no secret but it eats at me anyway, Would that I could cause her pain, Like I've come to know, And watch her blood collect on my skin like water. Such a pleasurable fantasy, Almost there, but not quite, it's never good enough, Instead I content myself watching, Bob Flanagan be tortured, Writhing and screaming in ecstasy, Does more for me than dreaming. Is it pornographic? I don't care. I like it.

"Bradly dear. The sleeves turn out, the cufflinks cover the buttons, and you ALWAYS button the last buttons on the bottom of the shirt and tuck them in." "But...but..." "No buts dear. If you are going to be seen in public with me, I am going to make sure you wear this suit right." "....more like a straight jacket." "This is a work of art!" Their conversation could be heard up and down the hall, strangely enough. Liam turned his head and heard Bradley's indignant voice. The sound of things slamming into doors. He wasn't sure. Something that sounded like someone breathing heavily into a coconut. The he heard a trigger click and then dead silence. Back in the dressing room, Zharra had Bradley buttoning his shirt and tucking it in completely, then buttoning up his suit and then, with further urging, he shot his cufflinks. Thus satisfied, Zharra flipped her skirt open, flashing a little leg, and then put away her gun. He groaned and turned to face himself in the mirror. A glazed sort of expression overtook his face. "I look....like a gorilla." "Nonsense. You look perfect." "Perfect?! Perfectly hideous." "Posh. Tosh. Now get out there!" "NO!" "DO IT NOW!" If Bradley had a tail, he would've put it between his legs, and slunk from the room. Liam snorted to himself, but shut up when Zharra walked out as well, looking quite posessed.
16. Evrada waited for Arano's non verbal signal. As soon as she saw it she seemingly glided forward and cleared the table, stacking trays and mugs, balancing the pitcher in one hand and the flatware in the other. She hadn't missed a thing, but she checked the table once more just to be on the safe side. Thus assured of her competence, she stood by the door and waited for it to open. Nobody watched her then, and nobody witnessed her exit. Once she was in the hall, Oima and a nakai were waiting to help her carry the goods downstairs. Naturally, as soon as they were out of earshot of the meeting room, door closed and all, they pounced. "So what's he like?" "Is he dreamy?" "Is it true that he's a dark skin?" "Did he stare at you? I know lots of them do whenever they visit." Evrada blushed, even though her eyes showed none of the dialated pupils that usually accompanied this sort of action, and both of them noticed. "He's easy on the eyes. Dark skin, yes, not dreamy really. He has that tough guy feel rather than that." "Oooh. Did he check you out?!" "When I dropped the fork, yeah. I supposed he might, but it was kind of ...different." "Yeah, you're blushing like crazy." Once they had finished this exchange, they were already back to the kitchen. And once there, Oima felt obliged to inform the entire staff that Kane the Warrior and Elite Mercenary was interested in their very own supervisor, Evrada, handmaiden of Arano. Evrada groaned inwardly and picked up the tray holding the men's dessert. "Please spare me." Laugher accompanied her exit. She rolled her pupiless eyes and made her way back upstairs to the meeting room. The door was opened for her and she set down the dessert, this time avoiding dropping anything that'd require picking up. Once everything was laid out, she stepped back again and waited for the next cue.
17. Evrada watched the guards open the door and steeled herself for either an upleasant shock or something equally bizzare. She entered, cloak flowing behind her like a waterfall. Once she was at the table she bent her knees to place the trays down without tipping anything. Even so, one of the forks clattered to the floor. Without missing a beat, she finished setting down the trays and bent at the waist to pick it up. As she stood, she could feel someone's eyes on her, but she didn't look. Evrada drew out a fresh fork from the roll of napkins and utensils in her hand. Setting it down, she turned and left the room, about to return with the drinks. She might be strong physically, but the large ammounts of food customarily shifted by Saiya-jins required two full trays of food and a second trip for beer. She fled down the stairs, headed for the kitchen, and opened the door with her left hand. One of the many cooks took the dropped fork while another pressed a pitcher into her hand and two mugs. "Not exactly a breakfasty sort of drink, but I doubt grapefruit juice would go over big with two warriors." "Maybe prune juice." "Highly doubtful." "Thanks." She backed into the door, opening it with her behind, and then headed back up the stairs. Her boots echoed dully from the halls, the carpets absorbing some of the sound, the walls bouncing back the rest. The door was opened by the guards again and she placed down both mugs and filled them with a graceful tilt of her left hand. Once everything was set out, she stepped back and clasped both hands behind her back. Arano and Kane sat, giving Evrada the chance to examine the gust more effectively. She didn't stare, instead she watched the wall and depended on her perefrial vision to fill her in. Very tall, like they had said, muscular from the look of his skin. She could almost see the strength rippling from his limbs. His skin was dark, something that was different from the usual man mucking around, and that in and of itself warranted the nakai's squealing interest. She closed her eyes and waited for someone to call her.
18. Bianya woke up late as Evrada anticipated, and was greeted by the delicious scent of honeyed fruit and steaming tea. Evrada was standing at the door, holding a tray, looking none the worse for wear considering the rough time last night. She was clad in her customary tunic, leggings, and belly chain, looking cool, calm and collected. She bowed her head to her master's partner and entered when Bianya waved her hand. The handmaid set the tray of light brunch down on the table next to the expansive bed and put her hands behind her back. "The meeting went well I'd say." "Yes Ma'am." "Do we have any leftovers?" "Not really Ma'am. Everyone was hungry." "The usual then. Thank you for breakfast. You can go now." "Yes Ma'am." Evrada knew she sounded like a mynah bird if even that much but she knew that any other words were best avoided. Any sort of opinion was a bad idea, any sort of spark, spunk, or otherwise spiritly action would be frowned upon. At least that's how Evrada had programmed herself. Yes Ma'am and Yes Sir were the safest of responses to give to any statement, opinion, or fact expressed by her owners. And on that thought, she glided down the halls, robe billowing behind her slowly, almost like wings. A warrior was standing in the hall, staring at one of the many paintings on the walls. He didn't look at her, but she detected a subtle change in his features that denoted his awareness of her presence. She continued on, not looking back at him. To stare so boldly would be a terrible breach of etteqite. Once she exited the hallway, she was met by Oima and two nakai. They looked none the worse for wear, and they were dressed in the usual simple outfits, sleeves tied back by a white cord, hair bound up tightly with two sticks of wood. "Master Arano is in the meeting room. He has an engagement with a warrior." "I think I saw him in the hallway. Tall?" "And horribly good looking too. They say his name is Kane." "I didn't notice. All I saw was tall." "You would." Two of the younger nakai giggled terribly, blushing and raising their hands over their faces to hide blushes. Evrada rolled her eyes at their girlish behavior. Definitely not something she had programmed into them. She had no idea where they got it from, but it was best ignored, and not encouraged. Thus educated on the name of their guest, she entered the steaming kitchens. The servants and cooks were at work, as usual, pouring, stirring, mixing, and generally making enough noise to wake the dead. The clatter of pots and pans was a pleasant change from the deathly silence of the halls. The tray with Arano's lunch was already waiting on the counter, with another tray for the guest. Evrada balanced both on her palms and dipped her head to the chefs. They said nothing as usual, but bobbed their heads back. Thus weighted down, Evrada started back up towards the meeting room where she knew she'd finally see the "handsome" Kane.
19. As the guests filtered out, Evrada, Oima, and the other nakai bowed, saying nice things such as, "Farewell, Good Evening, Please come again soon!" One by one they left, and just as quickly, the nakai began to clean up the room. Plates were stacked carefully on trays, glasses and mugs, lots of these, were gathered three at a time to each hand, and carried to the kitchen. Nakai paused to take towels and aprons and cover their semi-formal clothes, then continued in the flurry of cleaning. As soon as the table was completely cleared, Evrada placed both hands on the table cloth and looked up just in time to see her master walk in. "You couldn't find a more intelligent guard to watch my brother?" She lowered her head in a surprising show of defference, even when she knew she could've done nothing to prevent it. "I'm very sorry master. He was the most logical choice. And as slaves, we try our best but don't always match up to our masters. in strength and cunning." He frowned at this and Evrada waited obediently, head still bowed, looking at the floorboards and the edge of the table top. Finally he sighed and waved his hand for her to continue. She looked up finally and jerked the tablecloth into her hands with one swift movement. In the next she turned and tossed it into the hamper already holding a large stack of used napkins. "Next time there will be no mistakes master." "I hope so." "Yes sir." Her voice was soft, and her expression and ki were equally void of threat or smouldering resentment. Years of working aorund powerful figures had stopped her from showing these emotions. The fear of their temper breaking on her back had caused her to become an expert at hiding things like this. The best of masters could see her true feelings, but even then, they were somewhat hidden. Like now. She felt angry that she was being held responsible for Gaul's daring midnight escape. It wasn't her job to guard him. And how could she be blamed for the incompetence of every guard Arano-- no. Her master, had hired? She was assigned a job, she did her best, and as usual, not enough. Nevermind the decent success of the meal and the dishes and food being taken care of in the kitchen. She did well in nearly everything, but failed at this. Evrada turned and walked into the living room, picking up stray glasses and plates. She was tired. But naturally, she didn't show it. Oima took the utensils from her with a knowing glance. "Better you than us." The rush of water, the clatter of plates, and the general chatter of servants hid their low and very quiet converstaion. Evrada looked up with a surprised expression on her face. "I'd rather take the blame if it'll save you all discomfort." "What about yourself?" Oima looked interested in Evrada's opinion, as barely anyone on staff had ever heard her express one. Evrada's eyelids flickered slightly. If she had pupils, they might've dialated. "The self isn't important when you're in our position. We serve. Our feelings and experiences aren't important to our masters." With that bit of selfless wisdom, she turned and left. Evrada didnd't know if Oima was an informer, but she knew above all that to express any opinion to anyone but herself or the dog, was a very bad idea. Once up the stairs and in her room, she locked the door, took off her clothes, and sank down to the floor without getting undressed. So tired. Reeling and smarting with resentment, hot tears sprang into her eyes that went away just as quickly. Tears were useless. Maise Cuidad had taught her that much. She swiftly dried her eyes with her knuckles, then stood and pulled on her nightgown. Two steps from her closet was her futon, and she collapsed into it like a dead woman. The covers were quickly pulled over her head and sleep enveloped her.

Mr. Braxton knocked on her door and she opened it. Zharra smiled beautifully at his trim figure, the wonderful presentation he made. The rack of clothes was wheeled in and he plucked the correct outfit from it. She dropped a curtsy, still wearing her nightgown. "You look like a picture in that lovely thing. From Sak's?" "Nothing but the best." "I see then I have your suit just right." "You're the master." "Well I don't know about that..." "Don't be coy. You silly man." The two laughed softly at her patronizing tone. He bowed and left. She searched all the pockets and found the note instructing her to not do anything chemical or otherwise intended for cleaning to this delightful linen suit. Nothing special about it besides strengthened lapels on the blazer. She smiled and slipped out of her frail soft night gown. "Wonderful. Sexy, and my favorite color too." The long skirt appeared to be slightly enforced, and only slit on one side, therefore her movement would be rather restricted. She was depending on the other, un-slitted side to keep her weapons well hidden, and then that she would be able to use them fast enough to avoid having to run her ass off. Sky blue, with a sort of crushed white pattern of slightly cloud-like patterns, complimenting her softer colored skin...definetly somethin showing good taste. She slipped on the white blouse, then the skirt, and adjusted the zipper hidden on the side. Next the blazer, which fitted perfectly. Once properly attired, she exited her room and paid a visit to Liam. "You look rather spiffy."
21. Evrada halted the servants pushing the cart loaded with dessert. Individual plates with vanilla ice cream topped with dark cherries sauteed in sugar and liqueur, still flaming mind you...because she'd instructed the chefs to go heavy on the cognac........all waiting in the wings very patiently. Arano turned and motioned her to come in. She obeyed of course, the nakai exiting their posts to serve. Dessert stimulated conversation at best, although flambé sometimes toned things down. She set three dishes at Arano, Bianya, and Vegeta's places, quiet, calm, ever efficient. Utensils were replaced and taken away, like clockwork. The cart wheeled back out, aided by many hands, and people set themseles down to dinner. Once in the kitchen, Evrada whispered orders hastily into Oima's ear. "Send yourself in my place and have another nakai take yours. I'm going to give Gaul his meal. I'm sure he's hungry." "Even if he isn't, he'll eat. They always eat." "No kidding." The nakai thus ordered entered the main dinning room and stood next to the credenza, waiting patiently for one of her three charges to ask for something. Then she took down a tray and loaded it with leftovers. Now burdened, she exited the kitchen and headed up the stairs to Gaul's room. At a nod, the guard opened the door and she found Gual pacing in front of the fireplace. She set down the tray and waited patiently. He noticed it and sat down at the table, digging in without ceremony. Evrada poured a beer for him and then stood back. She took from his silence that he was enjoying his meal. Thus gratified, she left his room and let the guard lock it tightly again. Oima noticed her presence and the two switched places.

23. Evrada bowed to the audience and opened a door leading out to the main hall. Gaul didn't move until she looked him straight in the eye and gave him a knock in the mind. It was invisible to most people, but she had charged a mix of her own ki and phermones that struck him a glancing blow that instantly made him go weak in the knees. People watching them laughed quietly to themselves. Only a very few recognized that glassy look in his eyes. Evrada held up one hand, and flicked her fingers in a "come here" gesture. Gaul followed like a puppy on a leash, walking with her into the foyer. One of the guards by t he door made eye contact with her and she gave him a non verbal signal, one that she had rehearsed with the entire staff since her employment years ago. He bobbed his head in defference and exited, going to the garrison to pick a man worthy of the job. Gaul looked at Evrada, a vaccant expression on his face. She smiled ever so slightly, her eyelids half closing over the whiteness of her eyes. He didn't move until the armed guard and the doorman arrived again. She looked over the guard and nodded, giving her silent approval. Once the doorman was in place again, Evrada signaled both and they followed her up the staircase. As they walked down the hail, she spoke the guard's assignment to him. "You will watch him until you're relieved of duty." "Yes Ma'am." "If there are problems, you will find me and let me deal with it personally." "Yes Ma'am." "Good then." She unlocked the door with one of the key's at her waist. It swung open easily, revealling a room with no windows. Gaul was led in and sat down in one of the chairs. She checked the whole room over and, thus satisfied, exited and locked the door. The guard took his position and Evrada returned downstairs. Once there, she checked Vegeta, Bianya, and Arano's places, then leaned back again.
24. Name: Evrada Cuidad Age: 26 Eye Color: Honey Gold Race: Drowussu Sex: Female Decription: Her body is long and slender, skin a dull silver, hair thick and constantly moving even when there's no wind blowing. Her ears are pointed and able to swivel to pick up sounds from far away. She always wears the same tunic, the same foot coverings, and gauntlets. The splash of purple hair in the front is an inherited trait, one that indentifies her as a Cuidad gray skinned drow. Equipment: Black tunic woven of spider silk and emblazoned with the symbol of her tribe. A crystal cut vial holding about 200 ccs of Spider's blood, a potent poison she only opens as a last resort. Under her tunic is light chain mail, not heavy enough to slow her down, but enough to protect from almost all physical attacks. Her weapon is her body and a collection of poisons worn next to her skin. Spells: Blood Bind; A nasty trick used when either herself or her opponent are wounded. It causes all blood flowing to become living liquid manacles, very difficult to dispell. Silver Kiss; Something that'll suck the life out of you through either a wound in the neck or the mouth. You can only escape this particular attack if you have strong character and a powerful will to survive. The weak minded are particularly succeptible to this. Dirgecall; A weird songspell that shakes your body and renders you motionless, leaving you vulnerable to almost any attack. As long as Evrada continues to sing, you'll be rooted to the ground like a turnip. Abilities: Besides a wide variety of songspells, aura affecting spells, and an aray of poisons, she can fly for short distances and glide as long as there's an updraft. Her eyes aren't the best, but her hearing compensates for the loss, making it impossible for anyone to sneak up on her.
25. As soon as the guests were seated, each nakai moved forward with pitchers, bottles, and platters. While the chefs, all four of them, laid out the meal, still covered in large silver platters, Oima, Evrada, and the rest of the staff saw to it that everyone had the drink they desired. Evrada glided to Arano's place setting with a bottle of merlot in one hand and a pitcher of beer in the other. She raised one eyebrow in question, then watched her master's verbal signal. Accordingly she poured him a beer, then turned to Vegeta. He indicated and she poured again. Not a word was spoken. Merely a nod, a change in position. She worked quietly, setting everything out. As soon as everyone's glass was filled, Evrada gave the signal to the nakai. They fanned out and opened the trays, the delightful scent of food wafting upwards, tantalizing each and every guest lucky enough to be attending. As if on wheels, they served each person accordingly, ample portions, and no skimping. Evrada handled her serving spoons dexterously, never faltering in her sure and steady movements. Arano caught her eye later and asked a single question. She flashed a swift smile, then ducked into the kitchen to make sure her answer was right. The cooks greeted her with a customary hail, then went back to stirring various bubbling pots and pans. The head nekaban nodded, overseeing the final racks of ribs. "How do they like the food? Did the steaks turn out alright?" "They're eating like it's a famine. I've never known you to make a mistake." "Good good. Does Master wish to know if we'll run out?" "Yes, but I told him that was impossible. His hospitality is as lavish as his taste in servants." "Good answer." "I knew you wouldn't let me down. How's dessert coming along?" "The congac is flaming nicely, but we're still filling trays." "No rush. I get the feeling dinner is going to drag on uncomfortably long for our nakai." "They're made of strong stuff, they'll live." "Of course. Carry on, and excellent work." Evrada exited and re-entered the main dinning room. Nakai were skillfully passing platters around, shuffling places, refilling glasses, and adding to already well filled plates. Quiet conversation was sprinkled among everyone, although more were interested in eating than talking. She glided silently to her master's side and he shook his head ever so slightly. Prince Vegeta and Bianya were likewise in no need of extra service. Thus dismissed, she fell back and waited by the credenza quietly.
