As soon as they had exited the building, Luyii let lose with what could only be called a primal scream. She threw her head back, sank to her knees and then clutched her head in her hands, sobbing. The men wouldn't change their plans, the machines wouldn't compromise. What was the point? Was there any meaning? Anything at all she could do? No. Nothing. She was sent for no reason, there was no point to living. Be it here at 01 or home. If she could even call it home anymore. Luyii wiped her eyes with the back of her hand, and slowly rose to her feet. Smith regarded her quietly. She sat up slightlyagain, straightening her shirt, smoothing her hair down. "Are you well?" "Yes. I suppose I am. I just wasn't prepared for...that." Smith nodded gravely. The Delegate Prime could be a shock to anyone that had no idea what to expect. He reasoned that things might have gone better if he had told her what the experience would be like first. She sighed and took the hand he held out to her. With uncompromising grace, she rose to her feet and let her complexion clear. "Well then. I suppose I should just..." "We should see Madam Orima once more." "I know what she'll say...." "What's that?" "I told you so."

Writing Today's Poem [M -- As a Precaution]

We're falling, Falling on all sides, And nobody cares, That we're so alone. And each of us, Become stone, One after the other, Falling so far. To the earth, To the ground, Behind the world, And everything else. So come down, To the sand, Where we rise, Like foam of the sea. And we're happy, Together here, Seperately apart, Coming together. -

Here's a challenge, In response to your, Goddamn death threats, And mean looks. Evil eyes don't, Faze me at all, Cause I've seen, To much before. I'm not sorry, For making your man, Turn to watch, My body move. So get over, Your pitiful jealousy now, Cause I don't, Really give ****. That's your fault, For dismissing his ***, When all he, Did was watch. So try me, I'd love to kill, Your skanky ***, In a fight. -

You're about to fall, Be careful, The edge is closer than you think, Won't you catch me? I'm afraid of that, I could, Just fall to the ground with you, Instead of saving you. That's so very kind, EVen if, That's not quite what I had hoped, You could do for me. But our love is, So easily, Satisfied with what you have, To give to me. -
Lilia Sethen leafed through the files, splicing down everything important until she had tacked masses of paper to the open space on the whiteboard. Then, she went through everything one more time with a very large highlighter, having more than anyone really should ever have while looking at what most historians would consider jibberish. Only thing was, she knew exactly what he was saying and what he was making allusions and references to. As she worked, she took a sip from her now cold tea from time to time, enjoying herself more than was really necessary. At one point the functionary came by to see if she needed anything, only to find her imersed in the lines of a poem he had recited. "en Cielo.... ...tonight I can write the saddest lines about her." "Miss Sethen?" "Yes?" "Can I get you anything else?" "Can you refresh this tea for me please? And tell Ms. Trini that I'm making headway with the files." She smiled at his bow and turned back to her work. Finally, she had cleared all the papers and shreded them, writing down all the encessary information. Finally, it looked like she had constructed a flow chart of all viable information, putting everything that related in particular colums, from religion to history to astronamy and back again to the humanity of everyone around him....Sam had definetly taken a trip off the deep end. "And then we will all dispair. And die. ....that's from a C.S. Lewis book. How would he have known about that?" Lilia hummed to herself, fingering her hair absentmindedly, wielding a purple pen with deadly acuracy. In time she had constructed another timeline, charting out his various rantings and drawing various conclusions. On the right side she had a list of all his spoken languages, and every author he had cited. In reality, this job really was starting to look up. Not a bad way to spend her last hours on the planet.

As Roland approached, Loren looked up, making direct eyecontact. He held it steadily, not looking away when her eyes flickered between bronze and honey. Then he straightened. "We will report to our leader tomorrow morning." "Where at?" "You will see then. Get some rest." He stalked away and Blaze watched her response, which was hardly gratifying. She blinked a few times, then rebraided her hair, which had come lose at some point during the spell. He watched as her fingers deftly rebraided each short strand, forming a simple twist of French braids that connected gracefully at the nape of her neck. Then she took off her various weapons and set them down on the floor, waving her hand over the mound twice. Blaze blinked at the sudden light that leapt from her fingers towards the weapons in question. "A warding spell?" "A habbit. Keeps my stuff free from other meddlings. Invaluable when you're trying to get a little sleep and some peace of mind at the same time." "I seriously doubt anyone here would want to try and get into your things." "You never know." She smiled at him thinly and rolled up into a fetal position, still resting on the top of the desk. "You know there's beds over there." He indicated over his shoulder with his thumb, but she was already asleep.
-
Loren gritted her teeth, her knuckles growing white with strain, and she stood up very slowly, as if carrying a very heavy burden. Whatever it was, it was welcome. She forced herself to stare at Blaze, her hand automatically droping to her spell materia. Life. She let him faint, then placed it under her chin and smiled to an unseen joke. "Bring him back to me." ".....return to your body, simulacrum, Blaze." She focused, eyes tightly shut. Instantly everything blazed white, the wind roaring in her ears, the sounds she had heard so recently flashing back to her. She felt like she was soaring, but she knew it was simply her body being carried on the ethric towards his own soul. Her body of light met his in a single moment. And she felt his recognition break over her like a wave. "Loren?" "Yes... ....come back with me." "You...cast Life?" "I've had it this whole time...I thought you knew that." He could feel her amusement, and it was like a lifeline, dragging him back with her. Dragging wasnt' right.....escorting was better. Loren drifted back to her body and stood tall once more, reaching down to pull him up to her. His eyes blurred, glazed, and then opened. She smiled in relief and kissed his forehead. "Better?" "...I feel .....strangely fine." "You should, I used the body of light to call you back to your physical." He looked at her in disbelief, then remembered something she had said earlier about informal training. Probably the magic that a select few women practiced in Wutai, he had never stayed long enough to learn it. She smiled at his expression and placed a hand over his ripped shirt. Feeling his scars under her fingertips, running a hand over them, the other on his shoulder. "And I would do it again."
-
"I remember everyone that leaves, even if they were presumed dead." She sighed and rolled over, then leaned on her stomach, her bandolier clicking musucaly against the concrete floor. He eyed the numerous shots in her belt and then raised his eyes to hers. "Which spells are they?" "Demi. And two are Ultimas, but I never had to use them. A couple are silver bullets, and some are Destroyers." "....where did you get your hands on Destroyer bullets?!?" She grinned at him playfully, drawing her knife and propping herself up her elbows. With cool motions she slid it against her whetstone. Her hair fell in her eyes and she appeared to be considering the question. Bullets that exploded upon contact were extremely rare, filled with a special chemical that vaporized the enemy... ......and finding a skilled worker to make them for you in the first place was next to impossible. "Gil talks. ....but Mythril says more." "The weapons seller on the Eastern Continent." "Bingo." "That knife has an enchantment on it too...... ....wouldn't happen to be anything huge would it?" "Bio. A nice little surprise for everyone that thinks I'm all about brute force." She winked at him roguishly, the sound of her sharpening knife filling his ears. He smiled and continued cleaning his weapon. She put everything away, save her summon, and rolled it across her hands and fingers fluidly. "You know the only thing I've learnerd out here, away from home." "Hm?" "Never dishonor yourself. It sticks to you closer than blood..... ....my mother taught me that in spite of herself." "You never talked about her." "How many girls learning the art of merenary want to talk about their whore of a mother? Much less their bastard fo a father." She sighed and rested one hand behind her head, the summon gem winking in the flourescent lights. Blaze leaned over and looked at her again. Her eyes seemed to be very far away, and her smile was almost wistful. Then she turned and looked at him. "There's only one way I'll earn my hire."
-
She spoke softly, her eyes tilted in Blaze's direction. He turned to look back at her, and her eyes flickered gold, silver, then back to a clear honey brown. "I was born and raised in Wutai." "Is that where you got that summon?" "Godo gave it to me as a sign of goodwill." "So you were never formally trained." She grinned at him and rested her hands on her thighs. "Not formally, definetly not conventionally if that's what you mean." Aris rolled her eyes, still watching her every move. Loren shifted her thighs, and then her shoulders, her holster changing positions. Like an accident, the strap of her shirt fell down to her shoulder. Loren looked down at it, shrugged and looked back up. At the same time, the other strap fell as well. Instead of moving her hands, and possibly risking lead entering her body, she grinned and crossed her arms losely over her chest. "So..... ..........this is what you Sentinel's do."
-
She slid down from the table top, her body moving in what could only be called a serpentine style. Her walk was definetly sexy, but what caught their attention most was the double barreled shotgun resting easily in her hands. "Mercenary Loren Fingeon. Looks like you need a healer." Her eyes sparkled playfully and both Blaze and Roland stood down partially. Aris looked inscessed at her cool demeanor, but obviously she wasn't very much of a threat, otherwise bullets would bey flying. Aris and Sofia exchanged a glance, then looked back at her. She grinned slightly. "What are you doing in our base?" "Having a look around." "Do you have any materia?" "Oh....now that would be telling." In a trice, Roland was up against her, gun pressing into her right temple, left holding her gun. He forced it towards the ground while she arched instinctively away from the cold metal on her head. With no false moves, she reached into her pocket and drew out four materia. One Life materia, A summon of some sort, one command, and one blue support. She blinked at their reaction. "What's the summon?" "None of your buisness." The pressure on her forehead increased and she grimaced. "Leviathin."

Ranforne took to her quarters and swiftly shed her white clothing. Spidersilk, light and warm, but still a bother. She set down everything on her person including her choker, earrings, and simple signet ring. Then she laid everything inside her tunic and folded it up into a five pointed star. Then her staff was placed directly over everything and locked with her warding spell. Her fists met five times in different positions, then everything sealed itself up with a transluscent shield. "Dom, Nhute, Sein, Okct, Vai, Nray." The safest way to keep your belongings free from meddling creatures and various mortals. The Garden sorceress curled up in a ball, her legs pressed against her forehead, her arms wrapped around her thighs, entire body curving inward to resemble a nautilus shell. Then she closed her eyes and hummed to herself, swaying ever so slightly. Like the wind blowing through the trees, she dipped and swayed, and then fell still. ".......tears falling down again, You fall and plead, Beg from your knees, To be another, From self-hatred, Failure and pain, Drown in your imperfections, Despair and go down...to Morgorth, And stay there for now." A shiver went down her spine and instantly she broke off her song.

Writing Today's Poem [M -- As a Precaution]
Raiha replied to Heaven's Cloud's topic in Creative Works
There is a world, Where the girls, Are taller, Stronger. Wiser, And braver, Unafraid of you, And so very beautiful. They hold many things, In their hands, Like truth, Knowledge. Fear, And pain, But to find, Who they really are. Will take much more, Than just an, Empty promise, Right? -

I hold what you want, So very carefully, In my body, In my soul. Nobody will claim it, Nobody will want to, Ater they take a look, At what really lies within me. A tainted soul, So very tired, And very weak, From so many lies. But looking deeper, You can see something, Like a pinpoint of light, Resting inside. With the right person, And enough time, And a little water, It might bloom into something new. A starseed. -
Her eyes narrowed and she scanned the alleyway. Nothing. Then she smiled and sheathed it gracefully, in one fluid motion she had stowed away her gun, sheathed her knives once more, and rose to her feet. She bent down at the waist, legs straight, and laced up her corset boots. Then she straightened once more and brushed her hair back with her fingertips. "Enough of that." She turned her head and walked down the alley, smiling to herself. As she walked, her ears flicked and she turned her head. A man and a woman exited a werehouse, and headed to what was probably another garage. She grinned and walked in. The doors locked automatically behind her, but apparently could be opened again by an access code. She shrugged and walked around, looking absentmindedly through files on the desks. Sentinel. She shrugged and sat down on the desktop. Nothing to do but wait until people came back. "And in the meantime....." She smiled and leaned back, her arms resting behind her head. Her legs crossed gracefully and her eyes closed as well. Her perfectly trained mind slowed down to take in the slowness of the space around her.
-
She smiled and curtsyed once more, taking the offered cookie and virtually inhaling it. Manners didn't really seem to be her strong suit. B7104ZA blinked automatically and took her to the quarters Madam Orima had detailed to him earlier. She set down her briefcase and opened the closet doors. She smiled and took out the plain white dress she found there. "How classic...." Without another bat of an eyelid she slid out of her civillian clothes and folded them neatly, pressing them down into her briefcase. Then she turned and slid on the white dress, doing each eyelid carefully. The rest of the dress fell down to her ankles and she swished it around carefully, it fit like a glove. But she highly doubted it would good her any good in a city full of machines and one other human female. "Such a waste." She smiled and opend the files she had on hand. Without another word she began tracing them back and forth, pen in hand. Her mind quietly drew its own conclusions, and she smiled at what she found. Obviously the threat would not be as forthcoming as she thought. The humans were very afraid. Otherwise they would not be hesitating like this. ".....bastards. It's such a waste. And not in a little way either."

One of the functionaries dropped by later in the evening, asking Lilia if there was anything he could do for her. She grinned and brought her body around, flicking her hair gracefully. "Take the papers offered to me by Trini and bring them here please." "Immediately." He left, placing the tray of rice crackers and tea down on the only clear space on the table. She smiled and turne dback to the whiteboard. Right had wielding a purple pen, left hadn clasped gracefully behind her back, she began to write down everything he had said in all languages onto the whiteboard she had capitalized on. English, Latin, Japanese, Chinese, and Spanish. The board room they had used for the meeting was swiftly becoming a place for her to stash all files on hand and spread them out over the overlarge table top. Her pens were scattered around, making it resemble a warzone. She laughed happily, then sipped her tea and went back to work. "Hmmm mm... Dominus, Gloriae en excelecies Deo...... ..Laudamus Te." Her smile broaded ever so slightly. Then she closed her eyes and tilted her head back slightly. Everything made sense to her, even if everyone else thought he was speaking gibberish. From what she could tell, he was telling both the past and the future. He seemed to have no care for the present Ah well, there was time to get into his brain later. For now she was having fun just reading all the things he was spewing. "I will take your posessions for my own.... ....you will serve .....me." She scratched her head and absentmindedly took the files the functionary handed her. She opened them and looked down onto what was even more gibberish. Only it was all mashed together. "Thanks alot Trini..."
as a person who doesnt care about many things and as a TRUE NON-Believer, i dont care much for this movie, moreover, i think that its toooo much for a movie that i've [B]ONLY[/B'] heard about since MOnday!!! its as if no one knew about it, but then in a few days, the whole world knows  , but i'm still unafected
Going in with an attitude like that, naturally you wouldn't be. And a lot of people besides us "believers" knew about it before, you weren't paying attention. It's attracted more than just a little press from the media, figureheads, and other special interest groups.

I recall being told that the brutality was there because nobody except historians in this century know exactly what a crucifixion entails. Back when the Bible was passed about in the early church, every one knew exactly what a crucifixion was, they knew how brutal it was, they knew how much a criminal suffered while hanging from a cross. In the eighteenth century, people knew what a hanging was like, they knew it was a gruesome death as well. But in our modern society of painless lethal injections and comfort zones, we've blocked that idea out of our minds. The vast majority of our population doesn't know just how much someone suffers when they're hung on a cross. That, I think, is why Mel Gibson went over the death of Christ in such morbid and violent detail. BTW, those children were all in Judas's head.....dissapearing hell-children. Took me awhile to understand that bit.

Lilia Sethen watched Mr. Wylde speak to the private, then stepped up behind them and waited patiently for them to notice. Both turned at the same time and sized her up. She smiled at them. "Did you say he spoke latin?" "Yes....." "Did he say anything...else?" "Not that we could pick up." "Can I see the list's of things he's said?" The private shrugged and handed her a clip board. She picked it up and skimmed over it, running her finger down the words. Then she stopped at the next latin phrase. Obviously, they had lost it in the translation. She raised an eyebrow, then spoke the words outloud. "Citra menbri diminutionem et mortis periculum." "And that means...?" "No kiling, and no amputation. Comes from the Spanish Inquisition. It was their creedo." "... ......why would he be saying that?" "Why would he be talking about hell?" "And who are you?!?" "Lilia Sethen, Linguist, Communications Specialist, assigned to this mission from hell." She smiled at them and set the clipboad down. Then she turned and left withouta nother word.

Graphic yes, morbid detail yes, quarts of blood used? YES! Don't see this film if you're under 12, don't see it if you don't like violence, and don't see it if you don't want to be freaked out by the nature of crucifixion. Satan: The female/male is in my avatar now, but she's alot freakier in the movie itself. Did a very good job of making me writhe with fear and disgust. I highly reccomend it, saw it last night, and wailed and screamed through several parts of it. Including the 40 minute flogging scene and the half hour they spent crucifying Jesus. A better review is at myotaku.

Smith stood as the transport came to a halt and the doors opened. Luyii stood gracefully and followed, her briefcase in hand. She looked up at the sun, it being almost out of place in such a mechanized world. Of course, what she was about to see was even further out of place. Madam Orima was short, Oriental in apperance, pale, but still, a very pretty lady. She was older, stopped slightly from her long years, but that didn't prevent her from bowing as Luyii and B7104ZA entered her home. Luyii responded with a deep curtsy, something B7104ZA had not been expecting from anyone from her country, until he remembered she was an ambassador. They took the seats she gestured to and she sat down as well, a low coffee table between herself and her guests. "How may I help you B7104ZA? And who is your guest?" "This is Ambassador Luyii Megelani, accidentally delivered to 01 by her country. She has been exiled due to her sympathy for our state." "Another female human? .....amazing. Where are you from Ambassador Megelani?" "Please...call me Luyii." "Luyii then." "I was born in Guanzhou, China, but more recently I've been serving at the UN functions." "And how has that been going?" "Not so well. .....they believe 01 to be a danger. And are planning its destruction." "That's nothing new. ....have they done nuclear weapons programs yet?" "Of course. I've seen the plans myself. I even helped design them." Luyii looked down at her hands, a flush of shame creeping over her face. She looked up again, composing herself." "Do you think we should go back?"

The female bent her body under the strain from carrying the little girl, but refused to fall onto her face. Instead she focused her energy and walked her up to the door. As soon as she had opened it, she sank to her knees and let the little girl slide over her shoulder into her arms. Her parents were gone, and the small child had found her in the alley. She had begged her to take her home, and she had. It wasn't in her to refuse the request of a harmless little child. "....are you alright?" "Mmm.....yes. Thank you miss." "When will they be home?" "Soon. You better go now." Mercenary, Loren Fingeon shrugged and placed the little girl in bed, tucking her in carefully. Then she opened her window and slid out gracefully, landing on her feet behind the house. Her back bent straight once more and she adjusted her shotgun in its shoulder sheath. Then she turned and walked away, her shoulders steady, her footsteps light and firm. "Who's the chick?" "Dunno.... ...what's she doing on our turf?" "Who cares. I bet she's got alot of **** on her. ....wanna find out?" "Yeah...rush that *****." The older female heard their whispers, then saw them rise from behind crates and benches. Instantly she had whipped her knife out, screaming like a banshee, catching the first of the gangbangers in the wrist. He yelped and pulled away, only to be pushed back by his comrades. She hissed at him, her eyes snapping red, then hurled her knife into his face, catching him directly between the eyes. The other two....whatever nerve they had failing, turned to run, only to be shot down by bullets from her firearm. She snorted and reloaded.

I've read all of the above, including the Visitations, which was rather good. But my absolute favorite has got to be The Oath. The story was so original and frightening, it just totally takes you over. That and I like dragons.

Luyii smiled with some fondness, everything here was so fresh and new. So very different. None fettered by the controlling prejudices of the humans. Smith, was very complex for a machine. He sought answers, just as she did, and both of their governments were slightly less than accomidating. It was odd. Two very different beings in his world, with the same circumstances. Both misunderstood perhaps, or just not listened to. Luyii's smile was faint, but it was there. Smith noticed, and was pleased. That is, if a machine ever was pleased. She wasn't quivering in fear, repulsed, disgusted, or arrogant. She seemed genuinly interested in her surroundings. The machines arround her stared slightly, unused to the simple curiosity she extuded. She looked around, absorbing it all. He noted how she sometimes closed her eyes, inhaling and exhailing slowly. "What purpose does it serve? The deep breathing?" "It calms my mind, allows me to process thoughts more completely." "Ah. I was under the impression it only brought more oxygen to the brain." "That, but it also promotes a deeper understanding and translation. It is the way I get a ...handle on things." She smiled once more, then looked around again. Her eyes were ....she was crying? Smith stepped in closer, peering at her without trying to intrude. She wiped her eyes with her knuckles absentmindedly. Then sighed once and folded her hands. "I apologize. I ....remembered something....that should be forgotten." "You are sad?" "Sometimes. Not always. Seeing this place, reminded me of how much someone I used to know...would love it here." "A domestic partner?" "Is that what you call a husband?" She smiled, smirked really. Her eyes were bright with emotion, but she didn't break down and sob like she had done earlier. "Will I see the Infrastructure?" "It could be arranged, do you wish to speak to them?" "Yes. I suppose I do."

Name: Loren Fingeon Age: 26 Gender: Female Sexuality: Bisexual Alliance: Neutural, about to meet a Turk. Personality: Sexy, basically reeks of feminine charm and grace. However, that's all a carefully cultivated act, underneath she's quite a bit of a psychotic fighter. Still, she will be nice to little children and do them favors without asking for payment. In the presence of females, she's quite the flirt, but in the presence of males, she seems to simply scream: "Rape me." Of course, they could try. But she might go insane and knife them. [If they have money, she'll ask them if she can get a job before knifing them.] Biography: The daughter of a bartender at Turtle Paradise and one of his prostitutes, Loren is an excellent fighter, trained with the hardknocks of life, more or less. When she was old enough, she left Wutai for good, leaving it's "old ways" behind. Of course her father and mother waved her goodbye and packed her a lunch so she wouldn't get hungry as she made her way to get off the island. Soon enough, she was picked up by a passing ship and got a ride to one of the bigger continents. After a short stop in Costa de Sol, she snuck onto one of the cargo ships headed for Junon and made it to Midgar, where she hears all travelers should stop at least once. And she couldn't have picked a better place to start her buisness. Seing as how she's also a mercenary, and has very few qualms about which side she choses, so long as they have plenty of gil to pay her with. She was headed towards a bar when she saw a girl trying to defend herself against what looked like gang bangers. She approached and subsequently tossed more than two guys into the wall and pumped the next two full of lead. As for her payment, she took a kiss from the adolescent female and headed for the nearest bar. Any more excitment for the day would be quite welcome. She does various odd jobs, but she could do with a more productive, longer lasting hire. Weapon: AK-47, extra ammo in a full belt/bandolier type thingy, and an extra knife Apperance: see attatchment, short brown hair, cropped close to avoid it getting in the way during a fight. Normally, she wears combat boots and a long vest/coat over her normal clothes, but for this picture, she was aiming for an almost nice approach.
