Rae sighed and walked stifflegged over to the masochistic Liam. With surgical presiscion, she snatched him by the collar and hauled him backwards until he overbalanced and landed on his ass in the center of the complex. He looked up from a reclining position, indignant that she had stopped his self mutilation, until Zharra walked over, equally stiff legged, then bent her knee and placed it at his throat. Her voice was ice, it was steel, it was sleet. "You stop that shit right now and start thinking of a way to get us out of this motherfucking place before I give you something to really beat yourself to." He was about to open his mouth and come back with a reply when he realized that while her knee was at his throat, her gun was at his forehead. "Now." She stood up, lifting her knee from his throat, gun still out. "And I mean now." The group was surprised. None of them had ever seen her talk to anyone that way, much less pull a gun out of its thigh holster. As far as Bailey and Callum were concerned, they had never seen her carry a 9mm Barreta around, much less take it out and threaten a team member. "......thank you."

Satell was growing angry. No displaced bastard was about to steal her ship from under her nose. She ground her teeth with rage and as she walked down the hall, her power grew until her entire being was pulsing with light, raw energy crackling under the ground where she walked. Her anger seemed to spread through the entire ship, her indignancy knowing no bounds. "Get.....out......of my ship..." The scream issuing from her lips was heard by everyone in the ship, both mortal and displaced. The entity from the ship appeared when she reached the end of the corridor, her arms spread open in a fighting position, her knees slightly bent for support. Laughter, slicing everyone to pieces. Everyone......except for maybe Satell. She did not flinch, but took it and responded with an outstretched hand, eyes narrowing into dangerous slits. "You're tresspassing." ".....who gives a-" "I give a motherfucking shit. Now get out. This is...your final warning." "And if I don't?" "I'll remove you. Piece by piece."

Race the course, Don't bother falling, Because they'll run you over, And not even care. When you fall, Onto your face, And feel the blood run, Down your pale face. And now that, You've been embarassed, There's no point to, Stand up and face it. Because everyone, Watching you, Secretly hopes, That they never fall flat on their face either. -
Far removed of anything remotely cheerful, happy, and angelic, Eschele of the Stone wings sat silently in her corner. Angels flocked through the hallway where she sat, paying her no mind, for they had given up on making her realize that it was not really a chain holding her wings back, but her own self. But still she sat, oblivious to everything around her, knee under her chin, hand resting on her patella, silent and calm. Her body was slight and compact, but spoke of some sort of dormant power. Wings, lithe and flexible, were spread out behind her. At least that's what everyone saw. Eschele believed firmly that they were chained to the walls, blood pouring from them when she attempted to move. And that she had been placed there by the son of the devil himself, Apollyon. Abbadon. The Destroyer. And so she sat, and there she had sat for millenia. Since the time that the Lamb had walked the earth, she had stayed. Unmoving and waiting patiently. Eschele turned her head slowly, her sightless eyes seeing nothing but demons flickering in her vision. To all appearances, she was a statue made of soft gray skin, blue hair, silver eyes, and dark gray wings, clad in a torn silk tunic. She didn't shift her position, the manacles on her hands were so heavy, and the chains running through her wings were so painful.... .....there was no hope of escaping. Apollyon had her in slavery, and while she never saw him, she knew he was there.

They were about to clear the summit when the final rock face appeared. It was sheer. Senrai arched her back and hissed. Draak looked up and grimaced. There was no way in hell he would be able to climb it. She tossed her head scornfully and bared her claws, removing her shoes. Then she arched her back, then flexed her claws. He stared as she began scaling the rock with her claws and toes alone. The talons dug in, offering her complete freedom of movement. She locked her legs and jumped one more time, hitting the top with a dull thud. Draak looked up at her and she waved. Just as he was about to ask her how he was going to get up a 100 foot rock wall, she passed her hand over her hair and elongated the ponytail. It shimmered, then became long enough to accomidate him. He was about to climb it, when he suddenly wondered if she would be able to hold him. Senrai shook her hair at him and sent a quiet message into his mind. "....climb now, it will hold you. Trust me." "You s ure?" "Positive." He shrugged and grasped her hair in his hands. It tightened, then held. Carefully, he began to climb, holding on for dear life. Senrai dug her nails into the ground and braced herself, locking all four limbs and waiting patiently. It didn't hurt, but it was weighing her down.
-
She didn't waste her time panicing or looking down. Instead she fixed her eyes on Draak's still form and dug her nails in. By some twist of fate, her foot slipped and she slammed both hands into the rock face as hard as she could. Her eyes flashed bright silver and as Draak looked down, he saw her teeth elongate into fangs and her hands morph into claws. The iron tips sunk down into the sandstone and anchored themselves in. She dug her feet in and leapt upwards, straight into the rock wall. She landed in a tiger-like crouch, left leg held out horizontally, right tucked under her body. Draak stared with interest. She appeared to have gone feral. Her eyes were back to normal, but he could see a tail protruding from her ass, flicking itself erratically. She rose to her feet slowly, the change of balance forcing her to shift energy. "...that explains why you're a Dark Lasin." "...you didn't think I was simply a hypnotic human did you?" ".....only for a little while. I didn't know you were feral." "Most don't." She grinned slightly and looked up at the next rock face.

Writing Today's Poem [M -- As a Precaution]
Raiha replied to Heaven's Cloud's topic in Creative Works
I saw you again today. I wasn't angry, Merely wistful, Of the attention I once recieved, From you. You looked tired. But that's normal, For someone who never sleeps, For fear of dying, In their repose. So what did I do? I looked away, And walked on, Like I've been forced to, For months now. -
Opps, sorry. It's all in her head. She thinks that she's been chained by the wings, and that they've been turned into stone. And this comes from a very nasty experience with some very dark personage named Apollyon. She sits in the Court of Angels, in a corner, unmoving, and in the position shown. Most likely one of you would be able to snap her out of it.

Her lashes parted slowly, and, true to her character, Senrai didn't wonder where she was. Instead she simply let her eyes open wide. Draak looked over his shoulder at her. He could tell she was awake, even when her eyes weren't open. The breathing that was so soft and comforting had stopped and been replaced by slighly shallower breaths. Senrai smiled and sat up, shifting her weight slowly to avoid throwing Draak's balance off. She stretched carefully, then arched her back, hands resting on his. Her body seemed to shimmer before it contorted, joints slidding and slipping back into place. The smooth crackling noises of ligaments moving into position was slightly disturbing, but not so unpleasant. "You're flexible." "And....for the record, I'm not a human, so I wouldn't be quite as tasty as you had hoped." His eyelids flickered slightly. Apparently she was a very light sleeper. But if she wasn't a human, and she definetly wasn't an elf, then what was she? Senrai broke off his wonderings quickly by opening the front of her shirt and sliding around to give him a view of her body. It was glowly ever so slightly and her seal, a seven pointed star was etched into the space between her breasts. "I'm a sidhe. The Hidden Folk." "....ah. That would explain your scent. It's exotic." She smiled sweetly and redid the fastenings on the front of her shirt once more.

Name: Eschele Appearance: Voila Personality: She's been chained up for a long time. And even though she can remember a time when she wasn't helpless..... .....she doesn't think she'll ever be free. She can be happy, even though moving gives her great pain, and she is hopefull, that someday a warrior will free her bonds and let her fly once more. As of now, she is calm and quiet, waiting patiently. Her whole life has been waiting.

Writing Today's Poem [M -- As a Precaution]
Raiha replied to Heaven's Cloud's topic in Creative Works
Painful feeling, Spreading through the body, Starting low, Then crawling upwards. Inside me, Wreaking its course, Without malice, Only a degree of agony. It takes, And breaks away, Always present, But I can't fight it. -
She walked in time with him, her slender body betraying its only weakness; the shortness of her stride. Draak turned and looked at her before they started up the steep mountain grade. She pushed her hair from her eyes and looked up the path. Before she could take another breath, Draak had picked her up and set her over his shoulders. "You'll be too slow." "...... ....alright..." She didn't protest, any oppertunity to save energy was good enough. To him, she supposed, she was a featherweight. And she was. He carried her as if she wasn't there. Senrai relaxed her body, curling around his arms, body melting against his. He was warm and soft compared to the usual stone she slept on and with. "You're very strong...." "I've worked hard to become this strong....Draak likes that. But I don't know what he sees in you." Senrai reflected quietly, then smiled once more and looked into his eyes. He glanced over, then instantly looked away. Hypnotism, and a pretty powerful knack for it at that. He hadn't seen any weapons on her, but her aura was more than enough to convince him of her hidden strength. The sidhe smiled and snuggled against the lizard.
-
Senrai saw him move through her vision, and she raced after him, hair and cloak flying behind her like wings. Her feet barely touched the earth as she raced over the ground, her body eating away the miles with ease. Draak heard somebody coming, but didn't see them. It was at this point that she did a full ballet leap over his head and landed on the path in front of him. She straightened, her ponytail brushing the ground lightly before whipping itself around her body once more. She turned slowly to look up into his eyes. They were equally dark, and held the same endless ocean contained in hers. She smiled thinly and held out her hand to him, her voice echoing seductively in his mind. "......hello Draak. ......Dark Lasin sent me here." "......." He didn't respond immediately. Instead down at her hand. It was feminine in appearance, but in appearance only. He sensed a magical aura quite unlike that of humans in her body, swirling, eddying, struggling to break free. Then he took her hand and their auras mingled slowly. Like water mixing with blood.

I hate to add to your trauma, but if you live in the house with the girls for more than a few months, they'll all start having their periods at the same time. *supresses urge to giggle* Because the pheremones they all have interact, they're cycles will all start heading in the same direction. But it's not all that bad, they'll be happy for awhile, and then mad, and you'll know why if all of them are mad at the same time. -

I wish I could promise, That I'd find my way to you, But that means... I must die as well. And I love this life, And living in this world, Far more than... Even maybe you. I'm so sorry I can't change, To love you enough, The right way... So I light canldes. Pray for your soul to find, That everlasting peace, That never comes... Until someone cares to ask. -

So you'll just give up? Yea, I won't be here for long, I thought you fought. You can't run forever, No, But you can't just, Stop trying to live. Easy for you to say, You, Don't even understand, How I feel. Maybe I don't, But, I want you to live, What about your closest friend? She's not an issue, Neither, Are you now, Even when you once did. I'm sorry I can't help you, Well, It doesn't matter, Goodbye. .....right. -
Without a word, Gen got into the back seat, putting his purse on his lap. He looked out the window idly, after shutting the door after him. Trini and Satell got into the front. The engine started and they pulled out, headed for Heathrow through heavy London traffic. "Should be fun. I like the Concord." "Flying wasn't always my thing." "It'll be over quickly." "Let's hope so." Satell smiled reassuringly and looked out the window as well, not necessarily bored, simply existing. She never really did get bored, not while there was a chance to turn oxygen into carbon dioxide. They weaved through the cars skillfully, evading all stops and whipping through the turnabouts with ease. They pulled through the narrow streets heading up to the airport itself and parked. Once out they headed for the terminal and recieved their tickets with the passwords and necessary IDs. Satell dazzled the personell and had them personally escorted to the gate. "How do you-?" "Feminine charm." "I'm female..." "Yes but you don't know exactly how it's done." "So teach me." "When we land... ...it'll be safer."

Zharra leaned down with her medkit in hand and injected somethign into Liam's leg swiftly and suddenly. He yelped in pain and limped away as soon as the needle had exited his leg. Zharra smiled triumphantly and flicked the end of the hypodermic needle. The Darvoset had entered his system, the lactic acid quickly was nullified... "The hell was that for??!" "Darvoset is a base. Lactic acid causes muscle cramps. Balance the two out." "You.....you-" "Charming wonderful intelligent beautiful humble woman?" Ryan gave her a once over and she smiled at him. Around that point Bradley walked up and draped his arm around her shoulders. She grinned sweetly and arched her back. Liam shook himself and wore off the pain by limping then walking around. Rae resisted the urge to trip him while Bailey leaned against the wall and watched. Matt stepped into the center. "What do we do then?" ".....duck and cover." "I thought it was hold and cover." Bailey looked thoughtful, as if remembering something from a very long time ago. Zharra smiled and nodded. "She's right, I checked with a local kindergarden teacher."

The presence in her mind stirred to life, swirling darkly, spreading over her limbs, giving her a feeling of ecstasy. She turned her head up to look into the endless sky and laughed aloud. Her power was growing, the night was long, she was strong, and she was a servant of Dark Lasin. Before her feet, the grass withered, and all around her, life fled. Senrai Megelani continued walking, sighting her destination in her minds eye. A man, a figure of sorts, she couldn't make out his face, was her destination. He was her primary target, she was to find him and obey her orders. Not to kill any other, although they deserved it for opposing Dark Lasin...but to find him and greet her master once more. "I hear and obey." "And you shall be rewarded." She didn't know if he was telling the truth, but it wasn't like her to question the orders. It was not as if she had anything better to do with her life. Eat sleep, obey, walk, continue walking, look up into the sky, continue living. And that was all.

Satell didn't even have to listen to the speakers and headphones to hear their conversation. Her connection to the ship had grown exponentially. She simply had to rotate her ear to listen to every conversation on the ship. A tad bit distracting, but not unwelcome. She could tell what people were doing, where they were going, and how they were feeling. It was such an all encompassing feeling that at times, Satell felt like she was being consumed. "....I'm in your mind...." "And I am in yours." Her sanity was stable though, she was clinging to the thought of home and Allen, like a lifeline. Trini and Allen's conversation echoed dully in her ears, but she pushed it aside. Instead she looked out the window at the vaulting stars beneath her gaze. They seemed to smile at her and she smiled back. There was nothing that she couldn't see for herself, experience, do, breathe. ........ ....it was a good life. Although it would change once she returned to the place she called home.

Birth Name: Lidan Eschecle Srumise Code-Name: Vicoden Age: 29 Gender: Female Ability: Ability to control the actions of others by physical contact, but to a limited extent. She can dull the senses to the point of no return. Basically, she will stop your senses until you won't even realize she's gutting you. Nationality: Chinese/German Occupation: Language instructor, doctor, and physicist Weapon: Leafblade, poisoned hairpins, and a silver comb activated by blood. Appearance: Aside from the various veils, skirts, and shawls, she wears black lingerie. Location: Guanzhou, China. Bio: The daughter of a doctor and a high class stripper, Lidan is well versed in both of her parents "arts." She went to school and excelled at both linguistics and sciences, majoring in bio chemistry, focusing on the mechanics of the nervous system. After graduating, she met her mother, who taught her how to use her body rather than her mind. Lidan picked up everything well, including the various methods of seduction employed by her mother, which incidentally led to Lidan's creation in the first place. Her special gift was imparted to her by her mother's touch, a gift that would leave her mother and take its place in her daughter's body. Then she was offered a job by the Chinese government and leapt at the sudden oppertunity to put her skills to some use. The government used her well, employing her communications skills, but never really exploiting the rest of her knowledge. She keeps this to herself, although it's written in plain sight. Anyone could look and see what she does and how she does it...but nobody ever does, and she doesn't mind. One evening, she recieved an e-mail from an unknown source and an untraceable signal. It asked her to return to the place where she met her mother, and she complied. At the club, she was introduced to a figure who's face she never saw. He, or she, made her an offer of sorts. She now makes her desiscion.

Satell sat down in the chair, rubing her temples with her hand. It had been a stretch, but she had made it. Trini was healed, and she had done it quite well for a first attempt. It hadn't drained her too much, but it was still a challenge. With calm clear movements, she imputted her data into the system and let it upload. Then she leaned back and closed her eyes. Unbidden, an image of Weir flashed into her mind. She eyed him calmly, unafraid, knowing he was a match for her. "May I help you Weir?" "......do me a favor when you get back." "Yes?" "Tell my family I went out well." "......." She didn't say anything, merely watched him. He appeared to be crying, but she couldn't tell. Then she nodded slowly. He smiled briefly, then faded away.

I would read it again, but I'd probably get a little more depressed. Even though the ending is simply ambiguous. ....at least when I read it. Props. -

Apply the cosmetics, Make no false moves, Rub on the lotion, Follow with the cream. Move your hair, To one side carefully, As you slide foundation, Over your smooth face. Smile softly once, As you apply blush, And rub the eyeshadow, Against your lids. Then turn again, And blink for the mascera, Carefully blotting it, Then use the glitter. Careful now, Line the eyes, Make no false moves, And then rub on lipstick. Follow with lipgloss, Purse your lips, And blow a kiss, To the world.
