Writing Today's Poem [M -- As a Precaution]
Raiha replied to Heaven's Cloud's topic in Creative Works
Excerpt from Kevin Max's "I went over the edge of the world." Oh the hymns of angels, Suffer over the stench of the 21st century. Nothing is black or white, Or devoid of industry. The face of monotony, The litany of popular culture. I reach in my pockets and fumble for a change, Plotting out the death of art. -
I would like to say that he'll grow out of it, but until he meets someone classier, sexier, and a better actress than him, he'll be a dick forever. My advice, and my take on it is, play them back. Be as bitchy as possible and enjoy what comes. When you meet a genuinely kind and thoughtful guy, you won't have to act. .....I pretend to be interested more often than not. It leads them along, and when their egos get too big, I watch them crash and burn. Occasionally, I'll meet a Chauvanist bastard, and eventually end up crushing his balls......but usually I get a long well with males of all types.

She snarled at him then went into a full stop legs locked slightly to prevent any extra movement. He raised his sword, this time watching her with some caution. Apparently, she was carrying a soul that wasn't her own. Either that or the water had done something to him. Kellnine flexed her limbs gloriously, revelling in her other body. Kenneth took the opertunity to swing at her. Common courtesy nonwithstanding, she opened her mouth wide and snapped her jaws down on the blade. The two were stalemated. He shoved and she merely put more strenth into her lockjaw. The Asura gave her a look and she snorted back at him. Finaly, he pulled with all his strength and just as he was about to let go, she opened her mouth and he went sprawling. The sky vaulted above his head and he couldn't sense her anymore. Aside from her laughter grating in his ears, he could see nothing. He was up in a flash, sword out, only to find that she wasn't a panther anymore. And the laughter was growing more and more pleasant. Instead of a huge long limbed feline a simple humanoid girl wasstanding on the surface of the holy water, hands folded. And for a second, he caught a glimpse of her completely dressed' fur collar, scarf, long skirts, the whole nine yards. Kenneth sheathed his blade, he couldn't sense her gathering any magic around her body anymore despite the swift and vivid illusion. Kellnine's eyes flashed a brilliant silver and the rain begain to fall. Her hair shed the water in rivers as she looked to the sky and held her hands out, palms up, relishing the feel of the droplets. Kenneth discovered to his great pleasure that the percipitation was not holy. She brought her head back down again and looked at him gravely. "Come in. Kenneth." That she knew his name was decidedly disconcerting...then again, she must have contats...being a forest guardian and all that. Kellnine was smiling, the terrace behind her had opened up and afforded him a narrow stone pathway from the edge of the pool to the entrance.

The Lady of the Pard smiled serenely at him, completely uncaring that she was in the nude. He blinked, not showing any other emotion....and she gave him the eyebrow. With a steady movement, he rose to his feet and waited for her to answer. When she did, her voice took his better judgement away. Silk brushing against ice. "....we could do all three." She was purring now, he could sense it. One look into her eyes and he could see the feline curling her tail in amusement. Or maybe something else. With slow movements, she walked up to him, quite unconcerned that he had a weapon within reach, and that he was an Asura. His eyes followed her movements as she walked in a circle around him, eyeing him like one would a statue. Then she stopped in front of him again, her hair failling around her shoulders, covering absolutely nothing. The scars on her body were numerous, but didn't detract from her beauty....like the claws of a cat, raked over her stomach and thighs..... then she spoke again. "But that could grow monotonous." Her smile widened ever so slightly and she blew a kiss in his direction. He saw the magic burst off her fingertips. Instantly, he made a move to block it, only to find that the land around them was shimmering slightly, then dissapeared entirely. It was replaced by a waterfall and a quiet pool surrounded by water lilys and low hanging branches. She grinned at him once more and crossed her arms. "Well?"

Sleeping together, But not with romance, Only with tenderness, Because you are my sister. So small, Pale and delicate, But not breakable by any means, No...you are strong. You love, To cuddle up at night, In my big warm bed, With me. Because I'm safe, Nurturing and protective, And I have the plushies, That you love to touch. I wrap you up, So the cold can't get to you, And we're together, All night long. -
The crick in her neck woke her up. Either that or the heavy breathing of Brant's drug induced sleep. She flicked her eyes open but didn't move her body. Long experience had taught her that much. There was another voice in the room, hostile, or he would've spoken all ready. A he. Yes, a he. Dangerous, because she could barely sense his movement. She silently grasped the blade of her knife and whipped it up behind her in one swift movement. A male human of the same cult fell to the ground, clutching his ruined throat. She wiped her blade on his pants scornfully and stepped over his body. Brant was still asleep, she had moved too fast, cut off his larynx, no time for breathing. She opened the office door and picked up the phone. But it was dead. Of course. They cut the line. She flicked her earing and the radio buzzed to life. "CC this is Officer Megelani." "This is Central Courier. Go ahead Megelani." "Cult memeber attempted assassination, the doctor's floor, room 26. Send the coroner. Again." "Roger. I'll alert the boss." "Thanks CC." She flicked it again and sheathed her blade.

Wrapping ourselves up, Warm fleeces and soft down, Cuddling together, Beneath a sea of blankets. A fire crackling in the hearth, Flooding the room with warmth, And softness, Flooding the senses. So comfortable, Being here with you, It's dreaming, Without having to close my eyes. And I am safe, For this short time, With you, And not the world. -
To those who made it, you shall know this by a PM sent in your general direction. Do not cry if you did not make it. Instead, go home and think about your life. You may now commence living.

You are authorized to post here if you have been PMed by me in the last 10 minutes. Show up uninvited, and I just might refer you to a few moderators. ~~~~~~~~~ The Lady of the Pard was resting calmly. Reclining in the treetops, watching the world vault out beneath her. The Driad was crawling away through the tree branches. They had exchanged pleasant words and commented on the state of things, compared magical auras, and traded a few alchemy tips. Then, as usual, the Driad dissapeared into the woods without a sound. "Ta-eh Naray." "Don Evenlai." Her friend had come and gone, and now she was alone again. The weather was cooling, she could feel the changes in atmospheric pressure. Clouds were slowly gathering. It looked like it would be a pleasant evening. She leapt down, garments flying around her body. The fur along her collar rippled smoothly and twisted with the displaced air. Kellnine smiled and inhaled deeply. Humus, decaying leaves, moss, ferns, and low hanging vines. Rowan berries trailed down her figure, staining her white skin pink, like the color of her scarf. She turned to look up at the blackbirds eating the fruit. They twittered at her and she chirped back. "Eat well my friends." The tall metamorph walked off through the grasses, taking pleasure in each strand that touched her body. She smiled and kept on walking. This would be a very good night. She could feel it. ....no responsibilities, no intruders that she could sense, no belligerence to combat....how dull. Ah well. If her senses were not betraying her, something was headed in her general direction. Something big. Something bloody. Something....fun.... Translations from Driad-speak to Common tongue: "Goodbye my friend." "Until next time."

Believe it or not, I'm with cloricus. I was raised this way, and although some women mistakenely believe that it "takes away their identity..." I don't even like my last name! Either way it doesn't matter much. If my future husband is trustworthy, loyal, a protector, honorable, and truly loves me, what do I have to worry about?

2004 Re-Elections [a.k.a. Is Bush a Good President?]
Originally posted by ChibiHorsewoman I'm not going to go intothis big speil about how Bush is the dumbest thing to hit the whitehouse since Dan Quaile (of course I was really little when they brought him on board, but hey, I needed a euthamism!) Yes, it seems rather silly to dislike the guy because of his veiws on a religion that people practice. But think of it this way. He said this when he was govenor, imagine if he did get it in his pinhead to do something like this now that he's commander in cheif. He's too conservative and too backwards. He wants to outlaw everything he doesn't agree with. I believe Shakesphere put it best in Julius Ceasare-Absolute Power Corrupts absolutely
Well, it sounds like you did. Even if it wasn't a BIG Shpeil..... and that's not a euphemism.... Pinhead....Commander in Chief.... Well, if he's conservative, he just might be a *gasp of drama* Republican! He wants to outlaw everything he doesn't agree with. .....really? Where'd you get that 'fact' from? An Anti-Bush website? He doesn't have absolute power, just incase you didn't notice. He doesn't have control over a few small things....like jurisdiction over the Justice system, Senate, and House of Reps. Maybe you should take a few American Political System's classes...and while you're at it a U.S. History class, just for good measure. And if that isn't enough, I'll link you to a nice website of objective third person encyclopedias. -
She smiled inwardly. For all his annoying and arrogant ways, Matt sure knew how to do team building exercises. She shot Rae a look that said proclaimed her favorite epithet .... "liars burn in hell." If Rae noticed the slightly detatched look Zharra was giving her, she didn't react. She turned her attention back to Bradley and stroked his hair. "Still afraid?" "I'll get over it." "...because you're thinking more about decapitating Liam than falling a few million feet from a tube with wings." "Yeah...that's about it. It's like it's a conspiracy to get us apart." "Well...if you think about it, it makes sense. We don't talk to them because they're uncomfortable with either us being close, or just P.D.A. in general." She smiled at him and rested her head agianst his chest, tensing then relaxing her muscles expertly. "And that's bad for the team..." "Matt seems to think so. I suppose we should listen to him. As much as it pains me." He looked down at her and she looked back up. From this position, she seemed terribly delicate and fragile.

Wow...so many males in this rpg... Deedlit! Come back to me! And while we're on the subject, let me get back to you on who's in so far.... Nevermind, I'll just send you PMs. If you don't get one, go whine to your master.

There's an elusive scent, Warmth and softness, Spicy and comforting, Must be gingerbread. The senses reel, At the memories evoked, By the simple inhilation, Of a cookie. And when I think back, I remember holidays past, Warm and nurturing, Close and together. Our family becoming one, With candles, Christmas trees, And fires burning on the hearth. -
I did private school for two years before my four year trip in highschool. By the end of the second year, I was ready to kill something. Uniforms can't be required by state law, but they can be reccomended for parent's sanity's sake. Large highschools have violence, and those restrictions everyone's talking about.... bah, I must go to a very relaxed school. We have almost NO dress code. As long as it doesn't say anything along the lines of **** YOU UP THE *** and covers everything a bikini covers, you can pull it off. Don't get me started on how many hookers we had for this year's Halloween. We think backpacks are nice, and lockers are nice too, and if you're randomly searched, pray to god you don't have anything incriminating on your person. No, it doesn't happen too often. All my friends have knives on themselves, me included. ....only mine is a utility knife and less than two inches long. As for tardy, we have the 10/10 rule. If you're caught anywhere from 0 to 10 minutes after the bell rings without a pass, you're in detention. If you're wandering around without one 10 minutes before the next bell, same fate. It works, we have less tardys than the average school. But on the other side, we also feel more compelled to hate administrators.

And sadly...no Raiha in this one. Even though she is like...one of the lesser divine beings in the RP forum...and would love to kill n00bs off one by one....with a big stick.

Well.....as flattered as I am....it's not a good idea for the story line I have in mind. It doesn't quite work for this. You could have been one long ago, but not now. Perhaps you were relocated and given your own uniqe domain. Lovely to see you again Deedlit, I thought you had dropped off the face of the earth.

Well at our school, you can basically do whatever the **** you want. As long as it's losely defined in the rules.....you're okay. If you're not tardy and not cutting, you can carve your name into the concrete for all the teachers care. We're not a terribly strict school, as long as you follow some semblance of the rules. Maybe the teacher was just here at a....*snort* Bad time. But otherwise our schools aren't really like that. IN California anyways. I can't say the same thing for the rest of the the country. She should come teach at James Logan. WE'll drive her nuts, but only because we're so wild.

That was so adorable, his being terrified of heights. She wrapped her arms around him and closed her eyes, listening to the rhythmic breathing of Bradley as he tried to control his fear. And his heartbeat slowly began to calm itself, although it was still a little above normal. Then again, why sleep just now? She opened her eyes once more and scanned the entire room serruptitiously. Liam was happily listening to AFI, Rae and Bailey were in the middle of girl talk, and those two Russians were doing god knows what. She wasn't interested. She was far more enthralled with the warm teddybear she was currently snuggling up against. Matt looked over at them now and then but had no complaints. They weren't on the field, they didn't have any crushing deadlines. As long as they behaved themselves... Zharra yawned and closed her eyes one more time, lulled by both Metallica and the dull hum of the airplane's engines.

Oh pfoo. The important part here is that he's from Europe, which we currently have no beef with. Terrorism in itself is a relatively new term. During WW2, terrorism wasn't a widespread thing. And if you think about it, we didn't even care about racism until it got a bad name from Hitler. Anyways while there is no difference, maybe it doesn't really matter. They're [were] both insane and rather....evil people. -
2004 Re-Elections [a.k.a. Is Bush a Good President?]
Raiha replied to eleanor's topic in General Discussion
Why are we talking about Hitler? He WAS German. We're talking about Saddam Hussein. He's Iraqui. Hitler's dead. Saddam is more than likely alive. Therefore, he still has the, pardon the cliche, potential to kill people. We're not worried about dead German dictators, we're worried about living terrorists with extreme hatred against the U.S. And it is on that claim and a few others that we base this war. So deal. -

In Tirzirene, On the cold nights, You can almost feel them, The strands of life. The web, Controlled by nothing, Feared by everything, Binding all of them. Two lovers, Meeting in the cool shades, Underneath the trees, Didn't even know what happened. When something, Not of their world, Sparked the love, That flowed endlessly onwards. That love, The strange love between, A demon Asura, And a Lady of the Pard. -
*coughs modestly* Obviously FirePheonix you have no idea who the moderators really are. But anyways....I shall be candid. Michael Jackson can do what he wants, obviously. And we can rant all we like, but it won't change a damned thing. His lawyer is the same one that got Wynona Rider off...... ...so there's a pretty good chance he'll get out of this too. A few million paid to the right people and he's home free. His skin color doesn't really apply to this situation now...does it?

No, the tone of this piece of RolePlay is serious....tragic even, partially humorous, but more of a wicked dark humor. ~~~~~~~ Name: Kellnine Satell Megelani Age: Lehuriel Dentari [1000 and more] Species: Sidhe/Moon child Calling: Lady of the Pard. Physical characteristics: 5'7", 120lbs., Blue/Silver, Blackish hazel, pale cream, slender. Appearance: Posted in the begining. Underneath the dress, there is nothing. Biography: The daughter of a very powerful preist and one of the lesser Divine, Kellnine has made a living out of being powerful and secluded. Her calling, the Lady of the Pard, losely translated into the common tongue, means that she is the watcher of the forests, the guardian of the vales, and all things venerous. Occasionaly, people will seek her out and find that she is both kind and nurturing, despite her tendency to silent destruction of all things unholy. Her mother gave birth to her on Tzinsene, then left without a qualm. And her father, a dedicated preist, waved her off and transplanted her in the forest in the roots of a rose. She grew quickly, separated herself and met the first creature to ever care about her. A huge panther, strong, talkative, wise, and her friend. He cared deeply, and passed his work on to her, a father and mother figure in one. And so she became the Lady of the Pard. Feared, but respected, sought out for her skills in healing and banishing, but generally left to her own devices. As a Lady, her responsibilities are losely defined, leaving her a great deal of shakedown time. And during these in between times, she discovered something about the creatures that roamed in her woods. Something unexpected. Random fact: She can transmute herself into a large feline.

She curled up in to a fetal position, not needing a blanket, thanks to Bradley. The Metallica soothed her, in some odd twisted way and also drowned out all unecessary chit chat and vague other music. She flicked the iPod one more time and it transfered instantly to her favorite playlist. Once it began, she closed her eyes and drifted away, aided by the warmth of Bradley and comforted by his nearness. The music was growing faint, instead, their heartbeats were pounding in her ears, dragging away her mind. She opened her eyes and saw Jaudiar. Unbelieving, she raised one hand in greeting. Jaudiar did likewise. Then she took a step forward. "Be careful Zharra." "Why cousin? Did you come back to warn me about him?" "Not him....this next mission. It's where I was killed." "But-" "A lie. Ananda had to lie, like they did about Liam's sister. And those files." "Is it on them?" "Yes.....that and more. From the begining." "So I need to be careful." "Extremely. And yes, use caution when you're with Bradley.......he's good, but ......like all agents..." "Erratic. I think it's just Liam." "So be careful, have fun, and don't lose the goddamned files." She waved at Jaudiar's rapidly dissapearing form, the music growing louder.
