I'd like to think that men can have true friends, because then I'd wonder about everyone I kind of share stuff with. Sorry about the shortness; I'm being rushed. --Mike

I think this might've been done before, but......OtakuFound.

Hey, I think I remember the Pokécheats website! I didn't know it was part of theOtaku, though... --Mike -
Originally posted by Cera Band dork or geek? Ermmmmm... Why don't you check with Nerdsy on that one?
Well, if you won't vote, d'you mind if I put you on the "dork" side? ...cause it IS dork... ...and not geek... That's so dumb... yeah... --Mike

Yeah, well, 2-1 isn't that bad. Anyway I'm looking forward to that Monday night game on Oct. 7th - Chicago/Green Bay... *drools* --Mike
Originally posted by vegeta rocker yay!!! someone else knows them!!! I like their song Free.
I've only heard their first album, and off of it "Here" and "Touched" rule... Foredaddy, Vast is like a heavy metal/rock/techno/emo/slow music kind of band... It's REALLY hard to classify them into one or two or even three categories. They're really awesome. --Mike

A light so intense filled Xeshiur's mind, and he wished closing his eyes would help. He realized he couldn't possibly be blinded by it, but it was still so very bright... Random images began flashing inside his head. A newspaper on a kitchen table, open to the Sports page. Hmm... the Bears are at 2-1... He saw the Sears Tower, and knew instantly how many people were in it, and how many out of those people had been there all night. He saw a child run into the street after a lost ball, completely ignoring that there may be a speeding car coming his way. Fortunately for him, there wasn't. The 78.543 pound child would have been totally obliterated by any vehicle. He saw from a million angles at once a red Volkswagen superbug. He knew that it had just been filled up, that it had a bad muffler, and that the driver was a bitter middle-aged woman who had lost three sons to the same type of sickness. He watched it drive past his house, past his lawn, past his poor excuse of a parked car. He saw all these things plus so much more, all under 5 seconds. Ah, the powers of a Visionary... Xeshiur then remembered what it was he wanted to do, and focused his mind on his car keys. He thought about their shape, about the blue rubber #1! keychain it was attached to, about how many times he had used that key, about how many times he had almost locked himself out of his car on a cold wintery evening. And suddenly, he knew where they were. All the images that had been flashing in his mind were now replaced by a single vision. The secret location of what he had been searching for was... ...was... Xeshiur: Doh!!! Xeshiur opened his eyes, and the connection was lost instantaneously. That is the worst thing an experienced Visionary can do. You must slowly bring yourself out of a psychic trance, or you maay risk injury. Xeshiur lay hard on his back, moaning in agony at the sudden emptiness of his mind. He lay there for some time, screaming and writhing... After a while he sat slowly up, looked himself over, stood up, went up the stairs, closed the basement door, drank some water, reached into his pocket, grabbed the idiotic little blue #1! keychain, got in his car, and went to work... What a moron, Xeshiur thought lazily... --Mike

Oh, man, that is so friggin' hilarious! Dude, the best ones were 4, 6, 7, and 10... *wipes eyes* Ah, man, that's great... --Mike

Let's see... I can play the clarinet, trumpet, saxophone, flute, oboe, tin whistle, and recorder... But if you mean can I play any instruments well, then I only have the clarinet... Ah, sweet Claire... Yes, I've named my instrument. I am a sick band dork. And yeah, by the way, is it band geek or band dork? I say the latter, but almost everyone is disagreeing with me... Those sad, ignorant children... Oy I'm weird... --Mike

Xeshiur knew how late he was. He was supposed to start his new job at 8:00 AM this morning. How would he explain this to his boss? Uh, sorry I was out on the town dining on great food and kinky women again, so I'll go get to work now and see if can make me some money. Riiiight... He walked outside to see his car parked sloppily on his driveway. The driver's side door was opened. I must've fogotten to close it... 'cause I was so drunk, ha ha. He made his way to his vehicle. There were tire tracks on his overgrown lawn. Maybe he'd have to do something about that. Later... He sat on the driver's seat and looked in the ignition. No keys. Great. Now I'll have to search... everywhere... I'll never find it... Unless... Xeshiur looked up at the morning sky. He could always try it, and when it didn't work, he'd look the hard way. He went back in the house, and opened the door to the basement. He hadn't been down there in years, since he was... It was dark. The light bulb must have gone out. He'd have to fix that, too. He sighed, recalling the number of things he'd have to do today. Fix the light, the lawn, his job, find the keys... Yes... keys first... He made his way down the dark stairway. Each one creaked under his feet. He expected to run into a huge cobweb, become trapped and see a monstrous spider looming over his wriggling body. It didn't happen. At the bottom of the stairs was a shelf. On it were three small obsects: a half used candle, a lighter, and a small black box. He wouldn't be needing those, just his mind. And the symbol he painted on the basement floor years ago. He saw it, stretching the length of the dirty floor. It was circular, with curving lines eminating from the center. Four spikes ran from the center to the outside of the design, and even ran up the walls about four feet. A smaller circle also sat in the middle, and covering it was a small reddish-brown cushion. He sighed again, and carefully tiptoed across the floor, and knelt on the soft, worn cushion. This is stupid, Xeshiur thought. Wasting my time on this crap, just for some keys. I have half a mind to just hot-wire the damned thing. But he knew this way is faster and easier... If he hadn't lost his abilities...
Originally posted by Semjaza Azazel Oh, I missed that part :drunk:. Well then doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of punk in the first place? At least at first (like WAY back) it was kind of about rebellion, and to an extent it still is depending on the band. There are also so many political punk bands out there... I guess some companies just figured there were enough casual listeners of "punk" that Avril would be a good investment. Honestly, I've heard so little of Avril. All I know is that the second I saw and heard her, nothing made me think she was punk. If she doesn't write the songs, then what does she have to say? What is the point of her music? Punk can't be done in the same was as boy bands, you can't have a panel of lyricists write songs for you. Since when do teen magazines know anything about music outside of looks anyway? lol
Dude, excellent points... She really couldn't be punk if she doesn't write her own songs and express herself... Dude, Avril Lavigne could very well be the biggest poser ever. She might be one of the whitest people out there. And by "white" I mean "suburban, boring, etc." it's just a word I use. Let's not get defensive now... --Mike

Yeah, I'm just saying that a lot of bands seem to not try replacing band members when they leave. And everyone seems to be saying their first was the best. But the tracks didn't seem heavy enough for my liking, and Sully doesn't quite pull off that gurgly, grainy voice as well as he does in "Awake." --Mike

Yeah, I've found I can relate best to the first verse in"Sing For the Moment." --Mike

Ignorance it bliss, huh? But if I didn't listen to the radio I probably never would've heard By The Way in the first place. Hell, I never would've even heard of RHCP... *ducks & hides* --Mike

Well, that Aguilara chick is just plain retarded anyway... But I happen to like some of Avril Lavigne's songs, especially "Complicated." And I don't really care who wrote it, it sounds good, people listen to it, and it got her rich, so... That's enough for me. :) --Mike

Well, of course magic isn't real, it's just smoke, mirrors, and sleight of hand. Or, in the floating case, sleight of foot. :) --Mike

Yes, your point that preps are very hated people has been made, and I agree wholeheartedly. But still, Marshall started low and made it big... So far we're all still low... I say he has a leg up on us either way. --Mike

Well I'll just put up my predictions for the Packers' season: We already beat the Falcons in the first game, and lost to the Saints last Sunday... 1-1... beat the Detroit Lions beat the Carolina Panthers lose to the Chicago Bears lose to the New England Patriots beat the Washington Redskins um Oct. 27th is an open date... beat the Miami Dolphins beat the Detroit Lions lose to the Minnesota Vikings beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Chicago Bears beat the Minnesota Vikings lose to the San Fransisco 49ers beat the Buffalo Bills lose to the New York Jets I'm really not going on any statistics... just instinct. So I say 10-5 plus an open date. --Mike
Originally posted by Queen Asuka How can you say their first album sucked???? Awake is NOTHING compared to the first one. It's DIRT and TRASH compared to the second one! There's something wrong with you folks...I listen to the first one all the time. It's like my sweetheart CD actually...the Second one I only listen to every once in a while. I mean, I still like it alot, but not as much as their first one. I am a big fan of Godsmack. And like Panny said, I really like Sully Erna. He's such a cutie! :tasty:
Umm... So... yeah... Typo, or are you contradicting yourself? --Mike

And By The Way was never really a good song in the first place... It's just the same beats and words playing over and over again. Now that I think about it, it's pretty sick. --Mike

Regardless, enough people must like him/his music, if he's where he is now. Point made. --Mike

Yeah, the black album is the one I've been listening to. The first 6 or 7 tracks are some of the most recognizable in my opinion. --Mike

Does anyone think having a paid account on LJ is worth it? Just wondering... --Mike

On that show they explained how he floats about 20 feet up in the air... They admit it's a complete hoax, and use special effects to make it work... Depressing... --Mike

People, music is music, and different fans listen to different types. I personally don't care about sellouts or controversies or whether something is dead or not. I'll listen to anything that pleases my ears. And as long as it's loud... Loud and fast... And angry...   --Mike

If you want to avoid the ugly situation of impaling people for cutting your hair too short, then just get it shaved bald... It's hella cool for the summer, and you don't have to worry about doing anything to it. Plus, the only way it could still be done too short is if the hair person cuts into your skull, in which case you could then sue the heck outta them. Okay, I'm done now. :D --Mike
