This is the first time I have posted a story on OB, so I hope I don't screw up. Anyways, the story is, of course, unfinished, and still in the beginning. I hope to finish it... eventually. Yes, the prolouge I got from Final fantasy X, and Rowlin is basically from Lord of the Rings. I have some illustrations for this, but I don't have a scanner to show them. Anyways, I hope you enjoy. Oh, and criticism is always appreciated. ------------------------------- PROLOUGE Fire. The cold night gave way to inferno, as a town ravaged by flame sat awkwardly quiet, as it slowly burned to the ground. The only sound heard was the crackling of the fire. The town it burned was a grand one, stone sidewalks, and splendid straw-roofed buildings. Through the middle ran a deep pit, and several burning structures inside. Aside the blaze, stood a group, their faces shrouded by shadows. One of them stepped forward, a thin tall man with ling silver hair, messy bangs and pointed ears. His face was bruised and weather beaten, and it could be determined, that this was not a man at all, but an elf. He wore a black turtleneck, under a black trench coat. His pants and boots were also black, though the sword sheathed upon his belt was silver, hilt to blade. He sighed deeply, as a hand found its way to his shoulder. How did I get here? It?s a question I often ask myself. I stand here in front of this blaze, and I have never before felt so helpless as I watch it burn. My story is not one of anything ordinary, or one that you might say you?ve heard. Please, I beg you to listen to my tale, and though I can remember everything about the beginning, I know not of any ending in sight? Chapter One: Assassin The dark night faded into day, as the sun gleamed over a beautiful town. The town built itself around one river that stretched for miles in either direction, branching off in several places. In it, was docked long, thin, wooden boats tied to the shores. Along the sides of the river was the open market, full of goods far all to buy. The Blacksmith was stocked well with finely polished swords and axes, and the butcher was selling fine pigs head fresh off the fire. Times were good, I remember. I didn?t appreciate the town, Gnarwood?s good fortune as much as I should. At that time my mind was always on my target. My name is Logan, and I was an assassin, a killer for a resistance group known as Fortuna. It was my job to kill anybody who wished to give too much power over Gnarwood to the Kingdom, as it did once. Now that I think of it, I?m not sure if anybody but the Gnarwood masses supported us. It may well have been better for the Kingdom in whole, if Gnarwood would have conceded to the Kingdom?s wishes. Logan, still in the same outfit but less beaten, walked through the crowd neighboring the river, his clear blue eyes darting over the crowd, as if he were looking for something, or somebody. ?Hey there, gub. Got a tick?? Logan looked over, to find the blacksmith was beckoning him over. He made his way over, trying not to get knocked over by the thickening crowd. ?What do you want?? Logan asked, getting to the Blacksmith?s tent. The blacksmith himself was tall and lanky, with a small pair of glasses and no hair. Unlike Logan, this man wasn?t an elf. ?I got somethin? you?ll like, just take a look at this ?ere.? From under his counter came a long, scythe-looking blade. ?Only forty Millads. Now that?s a bargain.? Logan unsheathed his fine silver broadsword, and laid it on the desk. ??I?ve already got a weapon.? The Blacksmith frowned, his glasses sliding down his nose. ?Well, that?s a pity. What about this ?ere then? He raised a small yellow bead. ?This ?ere was made just for you. You?ll love it.? Logan picked the bead from his hand. This was what he was looking for. He clenched the bead tightly, and walked towards the tent curtain, and phased right through! Logan stopped. He was no longer in the town market, but in a shabby old room, below ground. There were no doors out of this place, just the yellow bead that acted as a gateway between here and above ground. Logan placed the bead in a wooden stand, and walked through the room and into a hallway. At the end of the hallway was another room, where two creatures sat lazily. In the corner, sat a small man with a long beard and a plump gut. This dwarf held a pipe in its mouth, and looked on the verge of falling asleep. In the other corner sat a hulking ogre with stony gray skin, no hair and no nose. It had wide lopsided eyes with beady pupils. The dwarf noticed Logan and stood up. ?There ya be! How?d it go? Did ya get ?em?? The dwarf said excited. The ogre looked blankly at the dwarf a moment. ?Ohm?oh yeah, the guy you was gonna get. Who was it?? Logan sighed, walking across the room, which was littered with maps, blueprints, books, and chairs. ?He didn?t show up at the meeting. It seems it was canceled. I think he?s still nervous about speaking to Gnarwoodians, since not many respect him.? ?Who the bloody ?ell is it already?? The ogre asked stupidly. ?Gaule, shut yer trap!? Barked the dwarf. ?It?s a renown general, Mark Jameson. He believes in the unity of all nations, whether they want it or not.? Logan replied calmly, picking up a book from the floor. ?The man?s a monster.? The dwarf growled. ?True, Rolwin. Very true. I think he was expecting the attack, though. That?s got to be why he called it off.? ?So,? Rowlin started, ?He?s a coward too, is he? Fine, he?ll have to show his neck sooner or later.? Logan nodded. ?But when, or where, that?s the trick. We?ll need to find out as soon as-? ?Do not worry, for I think the General will tell the public of his meeting place long before we need act.? Somebody said. The three turned to look at whom it was. At the door stood a man with bulging muscles and graying hair. He was a fit, yet old man, dressed in a blue long sleeve tunic, a green vest, and brown pants. On his back was an enormous axe. He looked at Logan, and smiled kindly. ?Hello, Logan. How was the Gateway Gem?s new hiding place?? Logan nodded. ?I would have walked right by it, had not the Blacksmith beckoned me to it.? The man let out a small laugh. ?Yes, that?s Towin, the new Gatekeeper. He?s a damn good blacksmith, so we can get new weapons when ever we run in short supply.? Logan nodded again. ?Are you sure he will not tell any of the guards, Kalmin? There is a price on our heads, you know.? Kalmin scratched his chin, nodding. ?Yes, but I have the utmost faith in him. Towin is a good man, with plenty respect for the Kingdom, but he is also a Gnarwoodian. He will not sacrifice his homeland to the Kingdom.? ?Very well.? Rowlin stood up. ?Enough ?bout the damn bead! Where the ruddy ?ell have you been, Kalmin?? Kalmin looked up at the ceiling, where the smoke from Rowlin?s pipe had floated. ?You should not smoke in here, there?s nowhere for the smoke to go.? Rowlin grimly dug his knuckle into the pipe, putting it out and scolding his knuckle. Kalmin waved his hand at the overhead smoke, and it formed into different shapes, resembling Gnarwood. One building far off the main row darkened. ?I was busy collecting information at the town treasury, where Mr. Jameson has decided to take up residence.? Rowlin almost jumped. ?Ah hah! We should kill him in his sleep!? Logan considered it. It was a good idea, simple, too. Why wouldn?t Kalmin have already considered that possibility? ?It would be impossible.? Kalmin replied. He waved his hand again, and all other buildings but the treasury disappeared in the smoke. ?You see, the building itself is empty. Underneath, though?? Under the Treasury formed a maze of hallways in the smoke. ?...Is the true treasury. This labyrinth stretches for miles, and any wrong turn leads to destruction. That?s why nobody has ever dared try to rob it.? Logan couldn?t help to wonder why the maze was so articulate. Kalmin looked at Logan, anticipating his question. ?It is, of course, money that?s being guarded.? Right. Only money could be so important to people. Kalmin started to walk away. ?Oh, Logan.? He said, turning back. ?Would you mind coming with me for just a moment?? Logan nodded and left with Kalmin. --------------------- It's not very exciting, I know, it's just an introduction to it all.

I remember this book, I just read it recently. Actually, it wasn't all that bad. But I know the Author, S.E. Hinton or something, wrote this book for extra credit in english class.
Just like Ponyboy
In fact, my teacher said that S.E. Was probably writing from experience, if you know what I mean. I honestly thought Ponyboy to be pretty damn queer, whcih I guess is faulted by the author, being a girl and all. Anyways, it wasn't a complete waste of time, though I can think of a thousand things I'd rather have done. Also, I find oddly enough that it reminds me of West Side Story; Don't ask me why.

Allright, time to liven this up. *evil grin* ------------------------ Ryden sighed. Making his way at night was harder than he expected, since his eyes kept follying off the path. He sat down on the trail, taking a swig from his canteen. Something kept poking at his mind. It was the instruments he found. He knew not how to play any of them, yet it felt so right to take them along. He reached back into his bag, and pulled away the pan flute. Familiarity ran deep in this instrument, though he had never seen it before in his life. His fingers found their ways to the proper holes, and he gave it a blow. A beautiful sound echoed upon the horizon, much louder than he intended. There was a pause, as nothing happened, when suddenly the ground started to shake and crack. Suddenly a gyser formed under his feet, and he lept back just as a tower of water errupted from the ground, standing twenty feet high! In just a moment, the water died down and gave way to a hulking figure in the mist created by the water. As the mist cleared, he saw it: A dragon. It's glossy blue scales shone brightly even in the dark night. Ryden stepped back, frightened. The dragon saw him, and lowered its head to him. Ryden stood puzzled. He touched the dragon's scales, and it made no move to attack him. Ryden, growing in courage, found puchase for his hands in the scales, and hoisted himself onto the behemoth. The dragon raised its head, pouring mist and water from its nostrils. "Wow." Ryden said, now saddled atop the dragon. "Too weird." He then remembered the other two instruments. He pulled out the flute. "Why not?" He gave it a blow, and it echoed like the first. The pause, and then the ground began to shake again, This time instead of a gyser, grass sprouted beneath Ryden and the dragon. Sadly the water dragon did not retreat, and a mossy green dragon sprouted up beneath it, knocking it off balance asnd flinging Ryden off. As the new darker mossy dragon emerged, the water dragon roared at it for knocking it away. The plant dragon roared back, both bellowing screams hard and loud on the ears. They started taking small hits at each other, as if they were ready to duel. "Oh, crap." The water dragon was first, as it let loose a powerful gyser upon the plant dragon, and they started to fight.

*sighs* Here we go again. ------------- Kayo was out, pinned to the tree by his gut. That was the least of his worries, though, as his mind was spiralling into darkness. He forgot everything. Who he was, what he was doing, how to fight, it all slowly seeped from his mind. But, his mind wasn't alone. Tobias had locked a connection between their minds, and neither of them could suffer alone. Aris hadn't put any spells on Tobias, though, so his mind was safe. And Tobias knew everything about Kayo, that's all it took. The memories and thoughts Tobias had learned from Kayo slowly started streaming back into the lifeless demon's head. It was slow, but enough for Kayo to grip onto. Kayo awoke, his eyes blood red. His memories still had not returned, but demon instinct had. He grabbed the spear he was pinned on, and slowly pushed himself down the hilt, gushing blood. Tobias used his chance to flood Kayo's mind with the holy teachings. It may have worked to cancel out his instincts all together, if it had been sooner. Kayo was finally free. He turned slowly to look at the fire spear, it glew dim in comparison to Kayo's gauntlets. Kayo reached out and grabbed the spear. "IGNITE!" He yelled hoarsly. The fire of his gauntlets streamed up the spear and into the tree, casting it aflame. The tree then served to light several other trees on fire, and it spread slowly towards the neighboring town. The villagers saw this and hurriedly brought buckets of water to douse the flames. It was no use, as Irifts terrible wrath was too much for any human to put out. Several dozen burned alive in hell fire trying desprately to stop it. Meanwhile, Kayo's stream of memories flew faster, as more recent memories started to flood. Kayo grabbed the fire spear from the tree, throwing it as far as he could. "ARIS!" He barked.

Demon-boy? Amateur? I'll make you eat that! PS how does Aris know about Rayne again?lol -------------------------------- Kayo growled in frustration, as his attempts to track them failed. Damn. Who the hell is that guy? That stupid technique of his! He said in his mind. "ho ho ho. They got away from you, did they?" Tobias pitched in, delighted. "Once Aris takes her to his home, you'll never find them!" "You know where they are, don't you?" Tobias suddenly became very nervous. "No, not at all." "Spill it!" "No, no, Aris would never forgive me if I told you. It took him so long to tell anybody..." Kayo and Tobias shared the flashback, as Aris told Azaria all about his ancestrial home, Tobias listening in. "Yes! Thanks a lot!" "No! No! oh... Kayo rushed to the stable, but his horse was still exauhsted. It didn't matter, though. He stood his horse up and led it into another horse's place. He took the other horse, and mounted it. "Fair trade." He said, cracking the reins of his new horse. Kayo rode along the way he thought would be the fastest possible, verring towards any couples he saw. Finally, his ride bore fruits, as he found Aris and Azaria over the horizon. He thought about just taking him out with a throw of his dagger, it was an easy shot while his guard was down. But he declined. That was a move for lowlives. He picked up speed as he rode, Aris now teasing Azaria with the idea of walking away. Kayo and his horse burst through the brush, Kayo swinging a mighty fist at Aris. Risal was half way out of its sheath when Kayo's punch connected with his face, and sent him flying off his feet. "ARIS!" Kayo stopped and dismounted by Azaria. "Why did you do that? Who are you? What do you want with me?" Kayo's face was stony. Azaria tried to stand, but she collapsed on her sprained ankle. Kayo didn't want to take her, ecspecially if she was oblivious. But, it was his errand, so he'd let the Drow defend her. Kayo ushered the horse out of the way, as Aris came charging back. He stopped, when he saw Kayo was making no move to run. "You again! How'd you-" "Footprints." Kayo lied. "With her clumsy steps and your hurried strides, they were easy to pick out." "Damn." Aris swore under his breath. He took the bait. Aris drew Risal. "Prepare yourself!" He shouted, charging. Kayo made no attempt to dodge. Aris was good, damn good, but he wasn't used to fighting a sword on fists. Kayo rose a hand and caught the blade. "What the hell?" "These gauntlets can't be cut by the likes of you!" Kayo shouted. He rose a burning gauntlet close to Aris's face. He jumped back. "Impossible! My technique should have put you down for hours!" "Don't expect anything normal here. There's demonic blood flowing through my veins. you won't put me down easily. This won't be like any swordfight you've ever experienced. I garantee." Kayo said, raising a gauntlet. "Let's rock!"

I definately like the 2nd version better. the first one, I coudn't tell what the blocks were. It looks a little too calm for fooly cooly, though, but that's just me. It looks quite nice, you did a good job. I give the first one a 5/10, and a second one a 10

I didn't plan on requesting another banner, but since my signature was erased in the upgrade (forgot to save it) I decided to. I'd like to request a Betterman Banner with a picture of Lamia and Hinoki, with the phrase "Expect the Unexpected" or "Something's lurking in every shadow" or one you think fits nicely. I'd like a matching avatar with that, if you don't mind. This is a site with okay pics, but great information. http://www.goshouworld.com/BetterMan/ Thanks, if you decide to do it.

OOC Sorry, I've been off for a bit. PS I never had any orc allies. ------------- Kayo ran back towards the church, well in front of the orcs and such that followed him. "Alive and Unharmed" weren't rules orcs could follow very well. Kayo busted through the church doors, and found Azaria inside. Across the room, he saw Tobias praying. He didn't even look up as the doors swung open. Kayo ignored him and rushed, picking up Azaria, who looked at him rather blankly since she never really got a good glimpse of his face the first time he was in the church, and broke out of the stained glass window. Not gonna try and stop me? Kayo spoke telipathically to Tobias. It's not my place. Kayo didn't understand, but he ran off with Azaria none the less. Kayo skidded to a halt farther down the street.Azaria wriggled in his grasp, and was calmly put down. "What is the meaning of this!?" She bellowed. "Take a look for yourself!" Kayo pointed back at the church, which was now overrun with ogres. Kayo was worried for a moment, before he heard Tobias's praying in the back of his mind. "Oh!" Azaria gasped when she looked back at the church. "Father Tobias!!" "Relax, he's fine. The ogres don't want some old bloke." Azaria tried to run for the church, but Kayo grabbed her arm. "Let me go! I have to go back to the church!" "Hey, shut up! There's nothing you can do for your precious church!" She struggled for a moment, and then stopped. "Why did those things attack the church?" "They were looking for you." "M-me?" "Yeah!" How stupid can you get? "But, why me?" "We don't have time for this! We have to get moving now!" "Where?" "Away from them! Then we can worry about the rest." "Rest? What more is there?" "Just c'mon, I don't have time to explain." Kayo yanked her arm and took off. They sprinted for a short while, and hid in an alley. "Hang on a sec. They might have caught our scent." There was a pause. "I-I guess I should thank you." Azaria said at last. "...I don't think thanks is the right word." She was about to enquire why, when Kayo started pulling her again.

(this starts in the feudal Era) The green earth, lush with vegitation and water. There were no oceans, only lakes and thousands of winding rivers, that villagers used for transportation. Life was good. That's how I look at it now, at least. I used to think it was a horrid place, with the Military academies springing up all over. But, I guess that's how an assassin is supposed to think, so they don't become attatched to what they kill. The city of Gnarwood bustled with life, all in supposed peace. Suddenly, a kid burst out of the alleyway, chased by two guards. Everyone looked, but nobody did anything. This was normal, the kid was undoubtably resisting training at the military academy, and anyone who helped hi would be killed as well. It wasn't long, until they caught him, kicking and screaming. The guards tossed him in a boat that sat in the river that flew through the town. They kicked off, and the kid was sent far away from what he had known, into a military academy... -------------------- A man in a gray rain coat and hat to hide his head stood, staring out at the boat as it took off. "Someday, that won't happen." He said quietly, turning around. Someday, I thought I could put an end to that. Outlaw things like that, so everyone could forget war, and live in peace...I guess it wasn't ment to be.

Kayo ran through the alleyway, a bright red spot glowing on his belt. "Owowowowow!" He tossed the ruby he had extracted Tobias's memories in onto the ground. "Yeow! That stung like crazy! I guess memories aren't fire-proof." He walked around in small circles until the pain went away. Then he crouched down beside the ruby, poking at it. "So, how the hell do you work this thing?" He picked it up, and threw it between his hands. It still glew from being burnt. Tobias sat in the other room, concentrating hard. "Come on, tap into my memories." Kayo frowned, and gritted his teeth. "No choice. Here goes-" He smacked the ruby against his head, and immediately regretted it. Tobias stood up. "Now! Feel god's wrath!!" Kayo screamed, as a white cross seemed to form through his chest. His body lit with his demonic blaze, as it tried to counter the Father's cross. Kayo hung in the air, screaming for a moment, until both his blaze and the cross dissapeared, and he fell limp to the ground. Through his mind echoed Tobias's thoughts. I must do this...do this for Azaria...the chosen one... Kayo sat up, sweat soaked. "W-What the hell?" Hello, Kayo. Kayo jumped, as a voice in his head spoke his name. "uhh...who or what are you?" "I am Father Tobias. And you are the Dark Wanderer, Kayo." "hey, How the hell do you know?" "Our minds are now linked. It was the most I could do, for Azaria." "The chosen one! You're not too smart for leading me to her." "It could not be helped. At least now, I can see into your mind." "Well, get out! I'm gonna kill you if you stay in there!" "Only, if you do not harm Azaria." "I can't harm her! It's not part of the job." "But you will give her to someone who may." "None of your buisness! Stay out!" Kayo walked out of the alleyway, hands hooked on his belt. "Thou shalt not kill! Thou shalt not kill! Thou Shalt Not Kill!!" "BUT OUT! Kayo's mind filled with inferno, scolding Tobias badly. He stopped for a few minutes. Thou shalt not-" "How do I get rid of you?!"

Satienah stopped near the sky dome, Logan now thouroghly panicked. "How do I keep it from breaking more? Can I fix it?" "The skydome is fixable, however the tools aboard Satienah are not designed for such repairs." Aeris chimmed in. "Well then, how do I fix it?" "It is likely, that repair equipment is stationed inside inside the hangar." "What hangar's left? They've all been destroyed!" "I detect one hangar building not damaged by combat." "Where?" The building showed up on a seprate screen. "Okay, I gotta get there!" Satienah jetted towards the building as fast as it could. It landed just in front, and knealed down so Logan could get out. He ran into the hangar building, shouting out. "Hello! Is anyone here?! I need someone who can repair the skydome!" A voice responded. "I can." A girl floated up to the railwalk Logan was on. "Dakota?! What are you doing here?!"

That was just a tiny bit manipulitive. If you don't mind, I'd like to go back and show just how my character came to attacking an old man. ------------------- Kayo left the castle, annoyed about the task on hand. He started to walk casually through the Underworld, even though nothing was casual about that hideous place. He decided, for time's sake, that he would ride horseback to Menendel. When he found a suitable steed, he set off at the swiftest pace the horse could muster. He reached Menendel in a matter of hours, his horse now ready to collapse. He unmonted at a stable, and let his horse rest inside. The stable boy was just leaving as he got there. "Hey." Kayo said, grabbing his arm. "You wouldn't happen to know anything about the Chosen one, would you?" "The chosen one?" The stable boy asked, confused. "Sounds religious to me. Try the church down the road, Father Tobias can help you." He nodded thankfully, and headed down the road. He got to the church, and walked in. Tobias smiled warmly. "Welcome to the house of god. How may I be of service?" Kayo didn't like churches anymore than he did priests. "Uh, I'm looking for someone. I thought you could give me a hand." The father nodded, and beckoned him in. "Please, sit down with me. Who is this one you are looking for?" "Well..." Kayo pulled up a chair. "I'm searching for the Chosen One." The name made Tobias jump a little. "For what purpose?" "I'm on a job, no questions asked." He said reluctantly. The father glared at him. "I'm sorry, but I know nothing. Please leave, if you would be so kind." "I know you know something." Kayo said, seeing it in his eyes. "And I don't have the patience to find it from somebody else." Tobias stood up quickly, and took out a cross. "BEGONE, DEMON!!" Kayo threw the table out of the way and kicked Tobias's knee to make him fall. He grabbed a red crystal from his belt and held it to Tobias's head, the information streaming out. Tobias screamed and fell limp, as footsteps were heard rushing down the stairs. A church wasn't the place to fight, so he took to the window. "Ow...father!" "Too late! I got what I came for!" He jumped out the window, anticipating he would be followed. He ran into the alleyway, and turned around just as Aris ran in behind him. "Why did you attack the Father!" He demanded. "Sorry, pal, I ain't got time to explain." He grinned, hid by the shadows. Aris held his sword in front of him. "I won't let you go!" Kayo's gauntlets flared up, illuminating his face. He looked truly demonic. "Well then, I guess it's play time." Kayo charged, throwing a fist that was easily dodged. Aris readied to slash down on Kayo's exposed back, but didn't have the chance since he had to block a burning knee that drove him far back. Aris skidded and returned to his stance. "What the hell are those?" "These babies are all it's gonna take to take you out." Kayo grinned, punching his gauntlets together. "Now come, feel my fury!!"

"That's the one." The wanderer answered, Rayne loosening his grip on him. "You wouldn't happen to be dracual's cousin by any chance, would you?" Rayne just smirked. "Allright, so what'd you call me down here for anyways?" Rayne turned and walked down the hall, the wanderer following. "I want you to find the chosen one, and bring them back to me alive." The wanderer nodded. "Okay, and where can I find this chosen one?" "I don't know." "Uh, that's gonna be a little hard. So...what do they look like?" Rayne made no attempt to answer. "You're kidding." The wanderer said, putting his hand to his forehead. "What, am I supposed to ask every person in the world if they're the chosen one?" "If nessicary." "You're a nut job." "The pay will overwhelm any hardships." "Eh, and that's saying I find this person before I'm old and crippled." "Are you in or not?" "Ehh. Okay sure. But, do you know anything that might be of value?"

A tall man with wild blounde hair and crimson red gauntlets slowly made his way through the trecherous underworld, watching his step for fiends and such. One fiend slowly made its way to him, and latched onto his back. The man's gauntlets suddenly flared up, and he reached back to grab the fiend. It barely struggled, aching from the burning grip. The man held the fiend at eye level. "I hate you little leeches." He said, in an almost boared voice. He rose his other hand socked the fiend, hard. It collapsed upon the floor, and the man continued on. He reached the ruins of a castle, and looked at a note he took from hsi pocket. Your services are requested, to search for an unknown person. you will be paid on completion. Make your way to the underworld, you'll know how to find me from there. -Rayne The man crumpled the note and forced the castle doors open. "Hello!!" He called out, hearing his voice echo.

Logan panicked as shots came from all directions. Suddenly his intercomm voiced to life with Dragus's message. "Ahhh! Who are you?!" The comm stayed silent for a few moments. "I am Dragus Loader. Who is this I am speeking to?" "Logan! I'm not supposed to be here! What's going on?! How do I get out?!" The panic in Logan's voice was very clear. "Wha- a kid in a JECHTcom? Kid, what the hell are you doing here?!" "It was an accident! I got in this thing and it started moving on Autopilot!" "Kid! Calm down and try to get away from the battle!" "I can't I don't know where I-AAAAAHH!!" A shot glanced off Sateniah's leg, shaking the cockpit violently. "Logan! Come i-" Dragus's voice ended on the comm, leaving only static. Satienah shot upwards into the sky, and fired multiple beams down at the enemy. One JECHTcom came up enxt to him and knocked his aim off, sending his beams off target and causing a firy dance on the horizon. "Civillion casualties increasing due to battle." Chimmed in Aeris. "Wha? No!!" Satienah flicked its blade out and cut down the opposing mech in one swipe. "What did I do to deserve this?! Why me?!" Suddenly, An Earth ship collided with ASR's false sky, and sent a crack through the dome. "Warning, if damage to the false sky dome increases, irreversable damage will be caused to ASR." "What? no! This is my home! It can't break!" Satienah flew higher, towards the breaking dome.

OOC: Strange how in one part of the wilderness, everyone just happens to be there at the same time, isn't it? Ah well, when in Rome...PS sorry I'm late. IC: Ryden sighed heavily as twilight crawled across the sky. He had been traveling five days since he first left Mallenfire, in an attempt to find the strongest there was. Of course, he wasn't exactly sure why he had chosen the direction he had, but there were only four directions and the one he had chosen was good enough. As he walked, his huge Backpack seemed to grow all the heavier, and it was becoming increasingly harder to see. Ryden wanted to make it through the night, but if he kept going as he was, he would probably start going in circles without realizing it. He had all but chosen a spot to lay for the night, when he shook off the temtation. "How am I ever going to get anywhere if I'm always taking breaks!" he had taken quite a few to get where he was. Instead he reached back into his massive pack, and pulled out a stick with one end wraped in a damp cloth. With a strike of a match, the cloth lit brightly, making a fine torch. Ryden admired his work and continued on, keeping his eyes rested on the ground.

James sighed heavily, having overheard this. Of course, he didn't know what a great deal of the things he had heard ment. "We continue to the destination, then get you to a hospital. Run on stealth, we don't want any winesses to Kakashki robots just waltzing around towards Mt. Fuji." "I hear ya, ecspecially with a town nearby." Kitsune said. James stared blankly at the comm. "A what?" "A town. It's uh, well you'll see when we pass it." James nodded. "Allright." The MPSBs slowly crept by the town, James staring in aw at the usual hustle and bustle through the streets. "Wow, I'm glad Kakashki's a bunch of idiots, or I may have never been able to see this." There was a pause. "What do you mean?" Haze asked, glued to the town view. "Well, you'd think that KA would keep some control over their own MPSBs. I mean, they had that sim on it and everything..." Sharpnel froze, as Veil punched some commands into the MPSB. A small warning beacon went off over the Comm. "Oh crap! They've been tracking us! They're closing in now!" Veil yelled. There was a commotion over the comm. Cooler turned, and saw small dots in the distance. He zoomed in, seeing Kakashki MPSBs closing in. He froze in terror, seeing that they looked exactly like the ones he had seen in Veil's sim. "What do we do?" "Let's take 'em!' Kitsune yelled, a grunt of pain escaping his lips. "Not in your condition!" Mira yelled. "You need medical A-sap!" "I can disable the tracker in about twenty minutes!" Veil yelled. James didn't bother listening. "MIRA! Get Kitsune outta here!" Cooler kneeled down, showing the spray missle launcher on its back. "No!!" A barrage of spray missles fired off at the KA mechas.

I found just recently, that I no longer have access to deleting my own thread, Final Fantasy: Rivals of Existance. Though I am still able to edit it, I cannot delete it. This problem may be tied with another, as I am no longer automatically subscribed to the threads I create. Any help would be appreciated. EDITThanks Boba, and I apologize for not seeing that earlier. I would like to object to this new rule though, for some threads may be up to OB standards but not something the creator wants to support. For example, I would delete this thread now If I could.

Great signups, and yes, you do need one from each era. Half the RPG will be taking place in both times before they, well, I don't want to give it away now do I? Oh, and I forgot to mention that this will start in the fuedal era. EDIT: Oh, and member Naota has a reserved spot in this Rpg.

Uh, I think Nicholas died, and Vash saved Knives, but whatever --------------------------- Name: Ronan Skyhad Age: 21 Weapon: A short fat gun that expands into a 3 foot long rifle. Apperance: http://absoluteanime.com/gundam/_domon_kasshu.jpg Bio.: Ronan couldn't care less about Vash's safety, as long as he's alive. He's a bounty hunter in persuit of Vash for the 60 billion double dollars on his head. That's at least what he tells people. There seems to be a secret motive, but what lays undiscovered. Ronan's father was a great marksman, the champion of many tournaments world wide. He wanted Ronan to follow in his steps,so he trained Ronan to be the best shot there was. He also taught Ronan a secret shot that nobody has ever dodged, and Ronan can't wait to try it out on Vash. Ronan became a bounty hunter when his father died in a mysterious gunfight.

Logan paicked, shooting up into the air as soon as he got in the cockpit. The JECHTcom acted on its own as it shot down ASR JECHTcoms one by one. "AHHH! Quit it! Knock it off!" He yelled, hitting some of the controls. "Autopilot, disengaged." Said a computorized slightly feminine voice. "Who're you?!" Shouted Logan. "I am Aeris, the Artificial Intelligence unit of the JECHTcom Satienah. Are you not the designated pilot?" "No! I'm not! I just got here by mistake!" He shouted. A beeping sound filled the cockpit. "Warning, incoming lazer." "UAAAAH!" Logan grabed at the controls and pushed, and Satienah rocketed to the left. Luckily, a large explosion and a billow of smoke seperated he and the other JECHTcom. "Where did that come from?" "Initiating emergency tutorial." "What?" A large mechanical thing covered his eyes. It felt like being electrocuted, as hundreds of images ran past his eyes and forced themselves into his head. "UAAAAAAHH!" After a minute, Logan went limp and Satienah landed behind a pile of rubble. He stayed there for a good half an hour, as a violent shake finally woke him. "Wha-" "Incoming projectiles from the rear." Logan grabbed the control he thought would push him out of the way just a little, and he shot to the left almost half a mile. He shook his head. It was like a voice in his head told him what to do in a flash, but he still wasn't very good at doing it. Satienah turned to face the JECHTcom that fired at him. Satienah raised it's arm and fired a few random shots, finally hitting it. "Did I get it?!" "Correct." The JECHTcom fell on top of another building and exploded on impact. Logan was already out of breath.

(Note that I made this after a totally wicked trailer for FFVII advent children, so the rivalry thing stems from cloud and sephiroth) Story Ever since time began, and the first breath of life entered earth, there has been a constant balance of good and evil. In truth, this balance is the only thing keeping all life forms alive. The balance is decided in the realm of immortals, where the rivalries of good and evil battle for all eternity. Yoroshii, the essence of good, locks blades with Yokoshima, the entity of evil. Hogosha, the protector, forever does battle with Hakaisha, the destroyer. Kyuusaisha, the savior, can only know the clashing of sinew with Hitogoroshi, the murderer. Itonami, the true essence of life, is destined to lock blades with Zetsumei, the essence of death. Aikou, the power of love, only knows the heat of battle against Kirai, the essence of hate. Tadashii the righteous, to do eternal battle with Neikan the wicked. There is another, a rival less essence known only, as Jitsuzai. Humanity, which has choked the earth with technology and pollution, has clearly favored the tip of evil, and good slowly diminishes. Against their rivals of evil and the whims of most of the world, there was no way good could keep up the endless struggle they once held. Jitsuzai, the rival less entity, gave good a chance and sent both good and evil into earth, where they materialized as mortal humans, aware of nothing from their stem except the thirst for battle with their rival. Jitsuzai was also transported down, but this entity did not forget its past and looks idly over the battle. And since the entities of good and evil are now human, they can die, they can tire, and with them the fate of the world will turn. Signups (PM me if you want to be the rival less entity, and don't be discouraged if you're not picked. I'm looking for something very special, quality of member set to priority 2) Name (one of the essence's names, if you will) Age (it's been about 17 or so years since the entities became Human, so around there) Entity (good, bad, protector, destroyer, savior, murderer, life, death, love, hate, righteous, wicked. Don't all jump to the good side, we need an equal number of both sides to start this up) Personality (the humans don't always represent what the entities do, they just found the strongest possible who halfway believe in their entity) Bio (you still had a human life, probably stemmed around combat. you can choose whether or not you already know your rival. oh, and evil entities will probably want to experiment with humans now that they can interact with them, like start devious plots and stuff) Magic (FF magic, please. Choose only ONE. No firagas or anything of that caliber, the spells will upgrade in time) Description (pics are good, but if you can't get one then just describe 'em) Weapons (guns or swords, you know typical FF stuff) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ok here's mine: Name Yoroshii Age 18 Entity good Personality: Yoroshii is only cheery at all when he is around people he knows. Otherwise he is quiet and sometimes aloof. Bio: Yoroshii grew up fatherless, with his mother and brother in poverty. Yoroshii was taught along side his brother in the art of combat by a nomad who never gave them his name. He taught them everything with a blade, and gave each of them their weapons. Soon, Yoroshii's brother started to compete with him to see who had learned the most, and they always came out equal. They pushed each other to new limits they could have never reached, and became highly advanced over most ruroni's. The more they fought, the better they became, even guns couldn't stand up to them. But, things turned sour as Yoroshii's brother started doing things that he could never forgive, and their competitive fights started taking a new unfriendly edge about them. It seemed they would kill each other, when they were seperated when their house caught on fire. Yoroshii no searches for his brother and mother, always hoping to settle the score with his brother. Magic: thunder Description: black shirt under blue open jacket, and same katana Weapons: a long katana
