1. Well than, make it to 800x600 or somethin'. Also, I wanted to comment on this whole stinkin' debate...would you guys just stop arguing about it? You're not going to stop and are only just going to poke something a person said at them like a threat. Just give it a rest and go on with your lives, alright? Sheesh.
2. POSTS! YEAH! ^^ ---------- Katana opened her eyes what from what seemed like hours of unconsciousness. The smile had crept down to a thin, straight line again. She sat up, dusted some dirt of her shirt, than stood up. Dirt? But how? We're on grass... Katana looked to see Kurumi and Yuka's heads, the two very much alived and very pissed off. "Damn that Kit! When I get my hands on him..." Yuka made a scary noise, he eyes filled with insane rage. "What happened to you two?" Katana asked, first pointing at the insane Yuka and than at the Kurumi head. (^^) "Kit," Kurumi mumbled. "That stupid power of his to control the earth..." "But I'm water!" Katana shouted proudly, cutting Kurumi off. "Which means, I can turn stone to dirt! HAHAHA!" But she didn't live up to her boasting and quickly ran out from the lake area. "WHAT THE HELL?" Yuka asked, her temper blowing the top off the meter. "KATANA!" Katana ran fast, her feet thumping against the soft earth. I've never been this fast! I've always been the slowest in my gym class. It almost makes me not want to leave.... But back in our time are my real friends. The ones I've had forever. And yet...have they ever saved my freakin' life, or fought alongside me against a dagger man named Aconite? Kit was close, somehow, Katana could tell. She felt his pesence in the forest, blocked off from the nearly full moon's light. The path ahead of her and behind were bathed in complete darkness. "Yuka would be a great help right now," Katana mumbled, picking up her pace. ------------ *dances* HAHA! I left Yuka and Kurumi encased in stone! HAHAHA! *runs off stage, jumping over the rocks with Yuka's and Kurumi's heads sticking out of them*
3. As the series progresses, there is an obvious relationship between Subaru and Tsukasa. Tsukasa seems to care more about Subaru than any other character, even those he has known longer. Oh, and about that question with Subaru seeing someone else...
she and Krim had been previously going out...or something like that. All I know is that they did have a relationship in the Real world.
4. *goes off from the current discussion* What is evil, you ask? Evil is flare pants, evil is the government for not sending my school baked chicken, evil is Cartoon Network showing old Rurouni Kenshin and Yu Yu Hakusho episodes... Evil is some of the mods here. I won't mention any names, but there are some people here that I believe are evil. They seem to enjoy torturing people. oO I am evil. Yep. I admit to it, and proudly. My friend and I were playing some game in math, and she wrote on my sheet "Katana: Evil" and I wrote write beneath it, "Yup!" Evil is also the fact that DVDs cost too much. Evil is Suncoast, charging twenty bucks for a video tape. Evil is the fact that we have to have health class instead of gym. Evil is...
5. Hmm, well, that reminds me of... 1.) Digimon 2.) Astro Boy 3.) Digimon 4.) Cyborg 009 5.) Did I mention Digimon? Well, yes, most anime that are as old as Dragon Ball, for some reason, have that style of animation. Astro Boy, Cyborg 009, Kikaider...well, Kikaider isn't that old, but it has the same style of animation. METROPOLIS! That's what I was trying to say! ^^; Anyways, back to the picture, which is why I'm here in the first place: Very cool. Nicely drawn and actually looks like you've drawn it. If you want perfection, the face could use a little bit of work but, other than that, that's one really spiffy pic. Nice work.
6. XD I can't believe you put Dr. Phil into this. I laughed so frickin' hard at that part. ^^ What I really liked about it was that the animation was nice and fast, not slow and I-could-go-get-a-sandwich-during-each-scene paced. Also, the characters were really spiffily drawn, except KKC. You could've done better on her face. :D But my favorite part was Syk's recording. "Uh...how should I start this..." and then.... "I'm hungry." XD Yup, sounds like something I would say. ^^
7.
Originally posted by wiccansamurai I live in Illinois... In the middle of a few corn fields. That's pretty much it.
Very interesting. I live in Illinois and right behind my backyard, right behind the very small road, is a cornfield. And down the small road is a small place called Lily Lake. The lake was drained forty years ago to make room for Routh 64, I believe. oO Anyways... Yeah, I live in Illinois, about fifty miles from Chicago. In the middle of a cornfield. :p Nah. I live to see the day that somebody lives near me..I'd freak. Really. ^^;
8. Hehe...sorry I haven't been posting. I've been...uh...busy. Yeah. ^^; ------------------------- "Did anybody else hear that?" Katana asked. Yuka looked at her. "What? Hear what?" "Dunno. Somebody scream 'KIT!!!' very loudly." Yuka covered her ears while Katana screamed. "No, I didn't hear anything." Katana shrugged and stood up, then went into the forest. I know I heard Kurumi scream! I just know it. I'm not going insane....right? "I don't think you are, Katana." That voice...who is it? I just know who it is... "You don't remember who I am?" Wait! You're that....guy! The dude that looks like me! The voice laughed. "Good job remembering. You didn't hear Kurumi? Go, the one you call Kaz needs your help." Wait! Don't....go! "Dammit...he left...again." Katana shrugged and ran towards the lake. Something told her they'd be there, and she was right. "Katana!" Kurumi said, looking up. Next to her was Kit, and before her was Kaz. "What the hell happened here?" Katana asked, rushing up to Kaz. Kurumi shook her head. "I'm not sure. I just found him here..." "I can't do that much," Kit said. "Sure, I can make giant pieces of dirt come from the ground, but that's about it." Kurumi then looked at Katana. "Kat...you said something about reviving..." "What? That's right! Golden Sun! Well, Kit can revive, but Kaz isn't dead yet...right?" Kurumi put her hand over Kaz's chest near his heart. "Nope. Still beating. But he's cold." "Yeah, I can see that." Katana pushed up her sleeves and began to think. I can heal! Yes...I know I can... A blue light shimmered out of her hands, then surrounded Kaz like an aura. The light circled around his body, weaving in and out of his skin, entering through his mouth and eyes. "What the..." Kit looked extremly confused and was about to tap Katana when Kurumi grabbed his arm. "Stop!" she hissed. "I know what she's doing, alright? She's healing Kaz..." Kit was grinding his teeth together at Kurumi's grip. She had twisted his wrist around. The blue light began to fade from Kaz and then vanished. Katana opened her eyes, satisfied. "Alright! First healing mission is a...success..." She fell to the ground, a smile on her face. "What now? Kurumi, can you help me out here?" Kit asked. "She's used a lotta energy. I can tell. She just passed out." "That's very comforting." Kurumi shrugged and inspected Kaz. "Woah...his heart is beating faster...and he's not cold anymore! YAY!!!"

MythBusters

For those of you who don't know, MythBusters is a show on Discovery where these two guys test myths to see if they're, in fact, real. Usually they're not, but they always try to make it happen, whether it's pour a whole can of gunpowder into a barrel and light it up or spray a whole room in gasoleine and create a big spark. (They like making things blow up. ^^) For those of you that do know about the show, then alright! I searched around here and found that there wasn't a thread (or at least, not a fairly recent one) for this really spiffy show. So sad... Alright, just so this things stays alive and with no-spam, here's a few questions for MythBusters fans. 1.) Favorite episode/myth and why 2.) Who you like better, Adam or Jamie 3.) Would you recommend this show to other people, why or why not ------------------------- 1.) Let's see...I really liked the 'Escape from Alcatraz'. The myth, really. I didn't like the episode that much. It would've been better without the duck thingie, but that's just me. I found this one really cool. The whole concept of the myth was really awesome, and in the end you had to decided whether those three guys really escaped and lived or drowned (or drifted all the way over to Japan. ^^) But the whole thing was just a lot of fun, for me. Well, I like seeing those type of things that challenge what people think, in a more advanced concept like that one. (Adam and Jamie banging mallets) Adam: Was that a guard? (holds hand up to ear) Nah. BANG BANG BANG 2.) Draw. I can't really decide on this one. I like Adam because he's funny in his loud way. Jamie is too, though, in his quiet and suttle way. Alright, so I like them both because they're funny. ^^ 3.) I believe I would, but only if the person I'm trying to convince likes science and myths and humor.
10. Well, I guess it's alright. Not that fantastic, but not horrible. To me, it looks like you stretched the image a little bit. And when you stretch images, the banner doesn't turn out too well. What it does have is that chalky-type thingie effect. That's really cool. And the colors in the background are good for Totodile. WATERRRRRRRR!
11.
It is also very heavy
XD Well, it's better than I could do. Well, maybe. I've only had woodship for one quater, and that was last year. >.> Um... Yeah, like Baron said, besides the mess, it's really cool. I think it would look better with some stain and varnish (those are two different things, right?). Other than that, it's really spiffy. I could make that, if I tried...maybe. oO;
12. I see...lots o' colors. ^^ Acrylics aren't that bad. And considering she was at school, you guys, acrylics were the only kind of paint avalible (I totally despise watercolors...) That and oils are really damn expensive. Anyways, that is a cool painting. I see a dragon, an archery dude, and a women, and a building behind the dragon...am I suppossed to get what it means? oO; Wondering. But it is cool. I'm not saying it's better than I could do, [strike]although it is[/strike], but that's really cool. ^^
13. Alright, I'm confused...are you Kaz or Clay? o_O Oh, and can you also write in second person, like everyone else? Ish getting me confused... ---------------- "Hey," Katana said as she observed Yuka hitting Kaz with her mallet continuously, "If Kaz has multiple abilities, than why don't we?" Kurumi nodded. "Yeah. He can teleport and make wind...so that means we all have an extra ability besides creating our element. Which, by the way Katana, I know you were talking about Golden Sun. Awesome game, yeah. But light and dark are elements!" "Whatever, whatever..." Katana said, waving her hand. She then sat down and thought. "Well, in Golden Sun, the ability to teleport uses the wind element, which means...since I'm water, I can heal! Oh yeah!" "What about light and dark?" Yuka asked. "Dunno. Don't ask, so, uh...think of one. Now, earth creates rocks...so...hmm...Kit, I believe that means you can revive the dead." "Wha-what? Doesn't that fall under the category of healing?" "Nope." Kit sighed. "Geez...I wanted something cool." "That's about as cool as it gets. Now, fire...what can they do..." Katana thought, furrowing her eyebrows together tightly. "I believe they have the power to blow up things. That is, concentrating energy on an object, then making go-" "BOOM!!" Yuka yelled loudly, smashing her hammer into a tree.
14. What the...WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR AVI?!?!?! No...Shippo's not cute anymore....*sniffle* Wellllllll, on with other, more important stuff...that's a really spiffy banner. Funny too. I'm not a fan of Sonic X, or any other Sonic thingie for that matter, but I like the banner. The image on the left is hilarious. That's the one I laughed at when I saw it. Is he drinking a soda or something? Looks like that to me... And the lines on the right image are really cool. Dunno why, they just turned out pretty spiffy if you ask me (and not Evolved_Dragon). It gives it dat sorta high-tech look. *wanders off*
15. Hmm, that makes me want to draw us too...^^ ------------- "Uh...Kurumi?" Katana asked. Kurumi was staring at the water, thinking. "Hellllo? KURUMIIIIII!!!" Yuka yelled into her ear. Kurumi jumped and screamed at Yuka to leave her alone. "Sheesh. Touchy touchy," Yuka muttered. "What do you think these mean?" Katana asked suddenly. Yuka looked at her to see Katana looking at her hands. "Whatta mean?" "I mean...these powers." "For me, they're pretty cool," said Yuka, going off into a matter-o'-fact type of voice. "Well, these make me think," Katana said, staring up at the sky. "Really? Did it hurt?" "Shut up. Anyways...back in our time, there was this game I loved to play. All the time. And it was great. You were a person who controlled the element of earth. There were three other people, who could control fire, wind, and water and ice. Personally, the water and ice person was my favorite..." "Yeah? And? What about light and dark? I can't help but notice you didn't mention those elements," Kurumi said, breaking out from her thinking trance. "I didn't believe that light and dark were elements. To me, they were just day and night, a thing that occured naturally, that just happened. Fire, Earth, Wind, and Water made up everything on the planet...wood, plants, and humans. It was an awesome game until it ended..." "So...so you're saying we don't matter?" Yuka asked. Katana looked at her. "What? How...how could you even think that?! You aren't the ones that don't matter. Light and dark don't. They aren't true." "What does that mean?" "It means," Kurumi said, "It means that we aren't important in this quest." "What the...how could...AH! FORGET IT!" Katana yelled. She stood up and got dressed, then walked into the woods back to camp. If they don't trust me...how can I trust them? What is wrong with those two? What is going on? ---------------- Oh yeah, and, uh, Kurumi and Yuka...hate to burst your bubbles, but we were the only ones that came from the future. Sorry. ^^; Second thingie...Wasabi, in your post with each of us and the elements, you didn't mention Kaz.
16. Too many damn banners...I'll comment on one of them... The thirteenth one...I REMEMBER THAT!!! Incidently, my friends and I had just watched Spirited Away the week before and, for some reason, that Image reminds me of that movie...or something created by Hayo Mayizaki. I really like it though. It's a relativily simple banner, and very clean cut. The dark blue gives me the feeling that the girl is sitting across from a bonfire or something. Let's see...*thinks some more*...I also liked the joke James put "powered by Syk3". ^^
17.
Originally posted by Lrb But anyways. Maybe it got reschuduled? *shrugs*
Yeah, that's what I was wondering. Did Dragon Warrior say there wasn't suppossed to be a movie on tonight or did he just forget to make a link for Mr. T Saves the President? o_O *looks over at Xra, who is now throwing popcorn at the screen yelling "HURRY UP!"*
18. "What the..who are you?" Katana asked. "I am you," replied the dark figure. "What the hell are you talking about?" "I am you Katana. I live in you. I protect you." "I protect myself." "No. I am the one that protects yourself. I am your warrior spirit. I am your life." "Who...are you?" The dark figure stepped closer to Katana. The figure appeared to be male. He had a black turban, white hair, dark navy blue eyes, silver earrings, a black cape, and white pants. His face held the confidence of Katana. "I am your...other self." Katana held back a gasp. "You...are." She noticed that everything about him was the opposite, except for his hair and skin. He was a bom compared to herself, and everything she wore that was white was black to him. "I am your guardian, Katana. I represent you in the Releam of Souls." "What's your name?" "Yasashiku," he responded as he began to fade. "Wait-no, don't go!" Katana yelled, chasing after the disappearing body. He made a faint smile, then vanished compeltly. Katana stopped and began crying at her loss. She felt empty. She woke up, tears falling on to the grass. Katana looked up to see the nightsky and a collection of leaves. She wiped her eyes on her sleeves and sat up, gazing at the stars painted against the dark sky. They glisteined softly, reminding her of long ago, when her family had lived in the mountains of Japan. There anyone could see the stars that wished to venture up. In Tokyo, the smog and sheer noise of the city clashed with nature, making not a single star visible. Katana began to sing in a soft voice, remembering her past. Who was that boy, Yasashiku? Was he really her protecter, her other self?
19. Wee! WATER! ----------------- Katana trudged slowly up a hill, Yuka behind her. The two were panting. "Why don't you gimme some of that water?" Yuka asked. "You can make it out of nowhere, you know." "Alright." Katana turned around and shot two large blasts at Yuka's face. She was shot back about fifteen feet and landed on the ground. She looked up to see Katana laughing like a nut, running up the hill. "YOU SHALL PAY!!!" Yuka yelled in a frenzy, creating two purple disks. Katana kept laughing, even at the sight of the energy. Yuka threw them at her, exploding into the ground beneath Katana's feet. This shot her up in the air. "I BEAT YOU!" Yuka shouted at the sky. She grinned, satisfied, and began climbing back up the hill when a jet of water landed in front of her. "Not so fast kid!" Katana yelled, descending from the sky. One hand was summoning the water, the other holding one of her swords. It plunged through the ground, breaking Katana's fall. "Kid? WHAT?" Yuka drew her two sai. The two began their clash of metal, Katana with the upperhand as of her being older, taller, and bigger than Yuka. "This ain't fair!" Yuka said through clenched teeth, fending off the insane-looking Katana. Suddenly, she thought of an idea. Dropping her sai, Yuka conjured up two more disks. Katana grinned and sheathed her sword quickly, then rubbed her hands together. Yuka threw the disks, then conjured up two more. She fired them, one after the other, blocking the plumes of water being shot at her. "Hey! Is that you guys?" Clay's voice called out from the top of the hill, ending the fight. Katana and Yuka looked at him, Katana smirking. "Guess what Yuka? Your boyfriend's back."
20. Now I'm going to add my fuel...yay, fun.. MetalSonic, by the way you're posting you've given us bad names. You don't have many points to prove, just that Shonen Jump is cool and stuff. Anyways... The Literature section isn't exactly a place to talk about manga. From what I've learned, the Otaku Public is a place where anime is, welll, forbidden to be made into a thread, so the same kinda goes for manga. Also, if we were to create just a SJ thread, it'd be kind of hard to discuss everything within Shonen Jump. You'd have a post about One Piece, three posts beneath that one about Naruto, and then another person talking about One Piece under the Naruto ones. It'd get really complex after a while, if you ask me. Maybe a manga thread is in order. Not every single manga created has a corresponding anime that's been dubbed from Japanese. Most manga's animes have yet to be dubbed, and mangas aren't anime, so you can't talk about them in the Anime Lounge. *takes drink of water and comes back* My suggestion would be that, if someone were to create a manga forum, then you could have Shonen Jump as a kind of sub-forum, like how "Your Picture" is a sub-fourm in the Otaku Lounge.
21. A different color font would work better. The blue you used mixes into the color of the water. Maybe a navy blue or an entirley different shade. I like it, though, because I'm a big water person. Dun ask me why, I seriously don't know, but the water is a very cool thing. ^^ Again, a border would be nice. Borders work miracles, for some reason. The make it look more professional or something. Not sure. *shrugs and walks off*
22. *starts hitting Yuka unconsciously through tears* I WANNA BE WATER!!! ----------------- "Hospital?" Katana said. "Ha, that's a good one. I know that, once we're there, you'll kill us." She made a slashing noise and swiped a finger against Yuka's throat. Yuka made a gagging noise and fell to the ground. The two started laughing; Clay and Nao laughing nervously. "Hoe dare you dishonor the Tokyo police!" one policeman shouted. His sword was unsheathed and at his side, waiting for the strike if it was to come. "Fukaita, calm down!" another policeman said. He looked around 40 while the rest were between 25 and 35 or so. His uniform was black compared to the others dusty blue. He turned to Katana and bowed slightly. "I apologize for Fukaita's rash actions. He has not yet completed his training, and does not know the time to be quiet and listein." "That sounds like Yuka," Kurumi muttered weakly, smiling. Nao snapped his head towards her voice and began whispering to her. "I am Bankyo, leader of the third squad of the Tokyo Police Swordsmen. Reports claim that you are children from...the future." He said the last words in slight disgust and disbelief. "Bankyo," Katana said. Her hands disappeared from their sleeves and reappeared moments later, clutching a small, thick book. "Amazing. I still have my dictionary!" Yuka, Kurumi, Clay, and Nao sweatdropped as Katana searched the pages, muttering "bankyo" multiple times. The police looked at the book with interest, as if marveling over it. "Bankyo. Here it is! Ahem." She cleared her throat. "Wielding authority. Or, as the second definition, exercising authority. You choose." Bankyo didn't take notice of this comment. "Hey...if you guys are from Tokyo, than that means we're close!" Nao said. "Almost. We came here by horse, cutting travel time in half or more. Tokyo is still about thirty miles from here."
23. Well, I'm not sure I can help you with artbook quality. If I knew what that meant. But, this site, UP IN SMOKE, is really spiffy. All the banners I've ever made involving Trigun, these are where I got the screencaps. Check it out and have fun reading the webmistresses captions. ^^
24. Eh. They're okay. Definent room for improvement. They're just...so plain. I can see how you made those banners. Images, paint swatches, and random effects. Nothing too creative. I guess that they're okay, seeing as how you "just learned how to use PaintShop Pro". They're nice, but borders and such would be better. And they're kinda fuzzy.
As usual I am perfect.
~_~
25.
Dork? Yes. Yes, I am.
Hey! ^^ Well, Conna, or shall I say Kurumi, or shall I say fellow Crazy Musketeer...yup, I'll get on with it. Those are really cool. Because I'm really lazy, I will comment on the Trigun banner. Wow. That's really cool, especially for something made in a few minutes. I was always curious to know exactly which program you use. It seems like Photoshop, but has a touch of PaintShop Pro, and a tab of MS Paint. Don't ask me why I say that though. ^^;
