If there's one thing I've noticed here, it's that everyone who's ever made a banner makes their own thread, posts maybe two banner, then has it die. That's the problem for us people who don't make banners by the hundreds everyday. So think of this as a...banner convention. Anyone who makes banners can post them here, to ask for comments and advice. (This is also sorta like The School Sketches, where people would post up their sketches). I thought this would be a good idea for on/off banner makers. With that said and done, here's my latest banner. It isn't finished yet, I need to ask what my friend wants on it. ^^ PS: Oh yeah, avis can be posted here too.

Let's see.... -Heart of Sword, Freckles, and Tactics, all from Rurouni Kenshin -Change the World, Fukai Mori, and Dearst from Inuyasha -Shippo's Theme. I LOVE THAT SONG! It's so funny! I suggest you listein to it. -Kaze Wa Mirai ni Fuku, Fool's Paradise from Trigun -Obsession, .hack//SIGN ending (forgot the name; the full version), Key of the Twilight from .hack//SIGN And so on. I'm not sure why I like them, but they're all nice and differnt from each other. None are the same, and their nice and upbeat. *sigh* I love my anime CD...
-
Oh God, I don't know... I love so many main themes it isn't funny. I think some of the best are: -Change the World for Inuyasha -Flying in the Sky for G Gundam -Obsession for .hack//SIGN And so on a so forth. I like the songs because they are so instrumental and actually use talent, unlike the crap put out today in the US.

Hey, I forgot to say that Iva is having a bit of an internet problem. Her service isn't working at the moment, please leave a message after the beep. ------------------------ A few miles away from camp, Moriko spoke up. "So where do you think we'll find the sword? In the mountain, I mean." Evean shrugged. "How should any of us know? Unless there's some mountain guru somewhere, we're gonna have to search the old fashioned way." Mori nodded. "Yeah. We're just three demons. Er...Evean, do you consider yourself a demon?" Evean looked blank. "I'm not sure," he said, then noticed the confused look on both Mori's and Moriko's faces. "I mean...well, I'm not something from the pits of hell." "NEITHER AM I!!!" Moriko yelled, her face turning a bright red. "A demon is someone like me or Katumea, though she's too holy and calls herself a wolf 'spirit'." Mori-Sora laughed. "She's as much a spirit as I am a normal human." The three of them laughed when suddenly there was a burst of shouts. "Here!" one voice called, "Three of them! Attack, everyone!" The three turned around, in a fit of confusion. "Crap! You were right, Mori! They did have friends!" yelled Evean, as he cracked his whip in the air. Moriko quickly unsheathed her double-blade, while Mori-Sora stringed her bow like lightning. In a few moments, the three were all prepared for battle. About ten soldiers emerged from the forest. Two had longbows, three had spears, and the others held swords. From their uniforms, they were highly trained. "Guess the king decided not to be so cheap this time," said Moriko, grinning. "Good. The fight will be funner." "More fun," grunted Mori as she launched an arrow. It grazed past a spearsman, sending a line of blood down his cheek. The two longbows fired. The three demons quickly scattered as the arrows landed on the ground where they had been. Mori-Sora fired another arrow, which hit the same spearsman, this time in the area of his heart. His chainmail was the only thing that saved his life. "Shoot," she said. "Don't you have anything more, I dunno, deadly?" Evean asked, as he caught two soliders with his whip. Moriko came and hacked at their armor. "I'm not sure," Mori shouted back. "Maybe if I..." She landed on the ground and ran up to a soldier with a longbow. She fired an arrow at the man's face. Blood spattered all over. He fell down, limp. Mori-Sora grabbed the longbow. "Think this'll work?" she asked. "I think it'll work juuuuuust fine," said Moriko, grinning.

"You know, most boys would either (a) punch me, (b) make fun of me, or (c) laugh at me. You though...eh, never mind." Wolf looked over at her. "Well, my mom taught me a lot of respect for girls. That, and I think you could do it." Nami grinned. "I hope I can." She then intentionally kicked a long, thin package dangling from the side of her saddle. Wolf looked over with interest. "What's that?" he asked. "Glaive," she responded, then said "Spear thing," at the confused look on Wolf's face. He nodded. "Sword," he said, pointing to a sheathed blade on his back. "My dad taught me how to use it." "Training master," Nami said, then explained how women could be warriors in her home. "We're quite different from the rest of the world." "I can imagine," Wolf responded, then turned his head to the road ahead of them. A few minutes passed. The two stopped and slid down the side of thier horses to have lunch. "Yeesh...I'm so hungry..." said Nami, unwrapping a package containing a ham sandwich. "I haven't eaten since five this morning. How 'bout you?" "Fwor," Wolf responded through a mouthful of rice. He then swallowed. "I come from a small farm a little ways, so I'm used to waking up early." Nami nodded and continued stuffing her face. In a few hours, she thought to herself, I'll be among other pages. And nobody will treat me like Wolf here. Well, I hope someboy will.

Oops, I forgot the lady walked away. ^^ Thanks for going along with it, G.D. Ryoko. ---------- Moriko sat on the ground, waiting for Mori-Sora to come back. She had her arms crossed across her chest and began to think. When is this going to end? Is this all life is going to be, constantly running and hiding from the humans? I don't want it to be. Thoughts turned to a boy she once knew about five years ago. "Awesomly cute," she muttered. "But he was killed." There was a rustle of leaves as Moriko looked up and saw Mori-Sora, her bow and arrows slung across her back. "C'mon," she said, beckoning towards the mountains, "Let's go." Moriko nodded and stood up, wiping the dirt of her shirt. "Uh-huh. So... how should we go?" Mori-Sora looked at her. "Well, the most obvious way is to just go and see what it get's us." "Should we get anybody else?" "Do you want to?" "Not really," Moriko replied. "We'd probably just wake everybody up." There was another rustle. Moriko whipped her sword out and preapared for combat. "Mori? Moriko? Is that you?" Evean came out, a few leaves stuck in hair. His whip was clutched in his hands. "You've been battling?" Moriko asked, sounding mildly amused. "Yeah. A few humans. I got them, but I think they have friends." Mori-Sora nodded. "Yeah. Where there's five humans, there's fifty right behind them."

My school district is like one, big, happy family. The principal at my school is the husband of a teacher in my grade school, who's sister is also a teacher and the sister's brother is a dude at my middle school. The sub for my band teacher has a daughter who works in my school and is the challenge teacher, who I worked with for a while on a newspaper project. The principal of another grade school has a wife in my old grade school, who has a son who was in one of my after school drawing classes. I don't have many weird connections, but it all works. ^^

Woah?my first RPG that actually made it to the Adventure Arena? Okay, well, thanks to everyone that?s signed up and to all those that shall?. Here are all the people and their basic info: Dondar ? Ranos ? 10 ? Male ? Bazzar ? Swordsman Wolf Maximas13 ? Wolf Maximas ? 11 ? Male ? Farm off of Varach ? Swordsman Stick Fairy ? Chelsey Harbas ? 10 ? Female ? Corus ? Glaiveweilder/Strategies Katana (me ^^) - Tsuyousinis Namithanlei (Nami) ? 10 ? Female ? Kammiyleanlon ? Glaiveweilder/Tactics ----------------- There was the soft clampering of hooves as a young girl rode her way through the countryside. Dangling over her mare?s side were packs that thunked softly against its saddle. Looking to her right, Tsuyousinis saw a group of older boys as they too headed towards the city of Corus in training to be a knight. She was slightly surprised none of them laughed at her. Then again, she thought, They probably didn?t even see me. She sighed and urged her mare into a gallop to surpass the boys and get farther ahead. About a mile or so down, Nami stopped the horse and slid off. She observed her surrondings: a forest. A dense forest, teaming with lives of all sorts. She sat under a tree and sighed, than began to finger her hair. ?I think I?ll spike it once we get to the castle,? Nami told her mare, who only grunted in reply. It?s name was Ines (E-nez) and was one of her family?s horses. My name is Nami, I?m 10, and I am here for the moment. I have three older sisters and two older brothers, both of whom are knights. My sisters are being trained as well, except on how to be a maiden, now a warrior. Not the life I want. Feeling lazy, Nami stood up and mounted Ines. She urged the horse in a brisk run through the rest of the forest as the castle?s highest peak came into view. ---------------------- Now, depending on how you guys rate this, my posts won?t be this good/bad. ? I don?t get it either. Well, have fun! ^^

Hehe, that is so funny! *people look at her as if she's insanse* Well, the simpleness of it makes it really funny, so yeah! I liked the first one anyways, and when I looked to find out what KMP meant, I didn't except to find "Kings Make Pie". :blulaugh: The second one, I like more, because it still keeps the simpless to it but has....*drumroll*...A PIE!!!

I love it. It's so...cool. My favorite color is blue, and I like the fact that everything were cool colors. So pretty. It looks a tad...shaky, I suppose. But if you made it on some paint program with a mouse, then it's pretty darn good. Nice work. ^^

"Why would they have kimonos in a video game?" Akurei asked, raising an eyebrow. "Hey, I don't set the rules, I just follow them," Rena replied, still hopping around. "Uh-huh," said Akurei, "And I just bend them a little." Rena stopped and picked up the items. "So we have this...cat thing," she said, lightly tossing it on the ground in polite disgust, "A kimono and a big red bow. So who gets what?" "Kimono, you can have, I can have, I personally don't care which. The bow looks like an obi, but obis go on you waist, not your hair. And the suit...makes me think of Kuroneko-sama. Which there is no chance in hell I'm wearing it." Rena looked up at Akurei, so their gaze was eye level to each other. "How old are you?" she asked. "In the Real World?" Akurei sighed. "12. I'm in seventh grade." "I'm 13 and in ninth grade," said Rena, sounding a tad boastful. "Like I care," muttered Akurei, adding "Show off." "I am not. I just happen to be really smart." "So am I, but you don't see me skipping a grade. I wanted to stay right where I was, so I wouldn't miss my friends. Which asks the question...do you have any friends?"

That is scary...a guy in Inuyasha liking Inuyasha...*shrudders* Anyways, nice work! :D They're all very nicely made. I don't mind the lime, I think it looked the best on the background anyways. PS: Thanks for the avi! ^^

Moriko shook her head. "No, I'm not. That's the reason I came out here, was to get away to the mountain. To help Tani." Mori-Sora looked at her. "You're gonna what?" she asked, as if the thought made her brain swirl. "You - you can't. Not alone, at least." Moriko shrugged. "Do what you want. I'm going there and that's it. You can't stop me, but I'll let you try." "There's no way I'm going in a one-on-one fight with you, demon girl," replied Mori, waving her left hand at Moriko. "Go fight a tree or something." The old lady whom Mori-Sora had given directions looked up. "Did you say demon?" she asked, her voice croaky. Mori nodded. "My dear, what are you doing hanging around some filthy slime like that?" Moriko looked at the old lady, snarling, shooting a death stare. She looked like an angry wolf. Mori-Sora waved her hands around for the women to stop, but she kept on going. "Demons...I have a few dozen of their ears at home," she continued, "And a few tails. My husband was the greatest demon hunter of all time! Now, those Outcasts, let me tell you....those are some of the worst scum on this planet! They slaughter our livestock, raid our fields, and kill our children. Pieces of work, my word. They say fifty of Kammielyon's finest men were slaughtered just two days ago. A pack of nine Outcasts were in the city then, and caused all kinds of trouble. Those soliders let them escape though - probably couldn't kill them." At this point, Moriko was about to slaughter the old hag, her fangs glinting and her breath going in and out at enormous rates. Mori-Sora had put on a lump face, making her emotions clearly unreadable. "I'm sorry you feel that way," she replied, and walked away.

Student Council (be prepared for major ranting ^^)
Katana replied to Katana's topic in General Discussion
^^ I loved all the ideas, Poison Tongue. Absolutly fantastic. :D I had some anime-stricken ideas, such as putting up posters with Vash eating donuts and stuff. I think I'm gonna try the communist thing. Sounds most reliabe. *takes out notebook and scribbles under "Ideas for Treaserer Position", "say you're a comunist"* I think that my student council actually gets things done. There's only one adult (one of my old sixth grade teachers) and that's it. She's really nice, so yeah, I think it would work. But anyways, thanks to everyone for ideas. ^^ Especially you, PT. -
Ohh ho ho.... Good lookin' too. ;) I think it's a great sketch. He looks like a Japanese video game character, to be honest, but he's awesome. My friend Lorenza would get along well with you...she created this character she calls Liei (rip-off of Hiei), and he looks freakishly like that elf...hmm... Nice work, 9.5/10

:D :D :D :D :D :D Yes, those books rock. I read the Immortals series in 4th grade, the Lioness Quartet last year, and I'm reading Protector of the Small right now. So good.........*goes off into her LaLa Land where she can read, draw, and watch anime whenever she wants to* Okay, anyways, that's great! I love it, I actually have a good RP going! Cookies for everyone! *people who have no intentions of signing up come, beat her up, and get the cookies* Ouch...umph....anyways, I think it's all fine, good, yeah. We just need a few more signups...I'm thinking about four, if possible, five. If not, we'll just go with what we have. ^^ EDIT: My profile! *confetti* And other stuff! Name: Tsuyousinis Namithanlei (Nami for short) Age: 10 Gender: Female From: Kammiyleanlon (that?s a mouthful?. Tsuyousinis Namithanlei of Kammiyleanlon?o_O) Appearance: About 4?5?? Cerulean eyes, icy blue hair that is spiked, but hangs like normal hair, skin is like coffee and cream, yet the coffee was mostly victorious. ^^ Likes to wear a white band of cloth on her head. Generally looks more like someone you don?t want to mess with. Abilities: Can think up of some pretty good tactics in a stitch and loves battling with her glaive (I love long weapons) No matter what, she stinks at archery. Attitude: Smart, outspoken, and funny. She likes to bring a cheery mood to people. The one thing she can?t stand are people who are depressed. As you can telll, it's not easy. ;) 2nd ? Lord Wyldon, Lui Yunkasi, Hotori Wei (the last two are called Shinju warriors. *shakes head* Nope, nothin wrong. You can pretty much do whatever you want with me, just don't kill me. ^^ ---------- Akurei shook her head. "Man..I knew those lunchladies are out to get me with pudding." Glancing at Rena, who stilled laid on the ground, she closed her eyes and thought. To light to darkness...we are joined by fate. What does that mean? To light darkness...and somethin' fate...and somethin' joined....or was it the other way around? Aw man... Leaving herself alone, Akurei went to Rena and drawed on her magic. "C'mon....dude, like, heal already." Rena's eyes opened weakly. She threw her head around wildly. "Man, I don't suggest that," Rena said, pointing to the ground. "It hurts after a while." "You...you don't remember anything?" "I didn't say that. ....No, not really." Akurei sighed, then moved her face so she and Rena were two inches apart. "Nothing? Not even that funky phrase?" Rena pulled back. "I don't suggest that either."

If I get this one up a going, and we manage to get past all four years as pages, then I plan on going up to Squire and then Knight. Yay! ^^ EDIT: I would like to say that I am going to officialy start this off at 12 noon Saturday, October 25th, central time. 1pm for Easterners, 11am for Mountainers, 10am for Westerners (sorry for the earliness :P ) I'll still accept all late sign ups (if there's more...I need more.....); I'm just saying when it'll start. Thanks for all signing up! ^^ ------------------------- *heaves heavy sigh* Okay, this is my first RPG. No wait?second. But I think this one will do better. The land called Tijira runs from the abundant and cold north to the hot and muggy south. It is surrounded by enemies to the north (Contegi) and south (Yamanmi), as well as Immortals, beings ranging from monsters to brilliant creatures, whom escaped from the Realms of the Gods five years before. The area of Tijira has many minorities: the Bazzar from the south, the Iqutects from the north, and the Swahallis from the islands off the north-western coast. People come from all over to the capitol, Corus, to trade and sell. The reason most young people come is to train as pages, in dreams of becoming a knight. The trainings aren?t easy, and are usually full of grueling work, training you when your muscles are sore and tired. A law past ten years ago stated that girls could finally train as pages if they wished, under the law of one year probation; their fate decided by the main training master, Lord Wyldon. Do you have what it takes to be a knight? If you?d like to join, please use this sign up sheet: Name: Age: No older than 12 and no younger than 10. The average age of a page is 10, so if you?re older, please state why. Gender: From: Region and City, if they have one. For example, if you come from the Bazzar, you?d put down your tribe?s name. If you come from the Iqutects, you?d put down your clan?s name, and etc. If you come from a city, just make up a name. I?m not too picky. ^^ Appearance: All I really need are your: height, eye color, hair color, skin color, and then what you yourself look like. (Wait?did that make sense? :help: ) Abilities: What I mean by this is that, Are you good at a certain weapon? Can you think up good tactics/battle strategies? Things like that. If you specialize in a weapon, you may keep one in your room to practice with. (Yes, one. You are not the master of archery/sword fighting/spear wielding. Catch my drift? :therock: ) Note: Weapon training with piers will only be during class. Attitude: Grumpy? Hyper? Humorus? Also, how smart you are and stuff like that. Okay! I think that?s good. I?ll get my sign up in later. When I sign up, I'll also put all the teachers and stuff. *cringes when hits "Submit New Thread" button*

:therock: Is that suppossed to mean something, or do you just like to spam? Odds are you won't last long if your keep posting like that.

Akurei was confused. "Well, we have this Rena," she said, pointing in the direction Rena had gone. "And then we have that other Rena," she continued, pointing behind her. "And now we have this one," she finished. Tia shrugged. "Yeah. Which hallway are you going through?" Akurei shrugged in reply. "I guess I'll follow Rena. And NOT because she's 99," she said, remarking at Tia's open mouth. "I wasn't going to say that," she said. "Uh-huh," Akurei replied as she walked down the hall after Rena. ----- "How far could she have gotten?" Akurei wondered, summoning up a sphere of light blue energy for illumination. "Yeah, she's 99, but that's only 20 levels above me. Not that many," she said to herself sarcasticlly. "Okay, I'm nuts." Akurei stopped and began typing an e-mail. "Yo Rena," she began it, "I followed you in this tunnel. Where the heck are you? Signed, Akurei." "And send," she muttered.

I'm starting to think I'm the only one (beisdes Mori-Sora) that even cares about this anymore. XP C'mon people! -------- Moriko sighed. She laid down on the ground, hard dirt that had a top layer of dust. Thoughts suddenly popped into her head. Tani...what about that stupid sword? While we're waiting here on our little butts, she's dying every moment. When she talks, when she walks, when she everything, she's dying. I can sense her energy's gone down low since the jewel incident... That unpleasant thought had also popped into her head. She remembered the cold darkness of her sapphire imprisoment, talking to the others about what it would be like to die. Moriko shook her head to keep the thought away. There was a cough, then a hacking, then more coughing. Moriko looked up and saw Tani, still under her tree, lean forward and vomit. Moriko grimmaced and looked away. It's getting worse, she thought as she heard Rann, Katumea, and Reena scoot over towards Tani, asking if she'd like anything and if she was okay. She kept saying no, but they kept up their persistance. The more I think about it...the more I think about it, the less I can tolerate it. We have been gone for a day. It feels like a month. Tani won't last long under these circumstance... Out of instinct, Moriko held up her index finger as a light blue ball of energy appeared there. She shot it at Tani - without looking - and heard the moan of the energy mearging. Moriko made a nod, satisfied, then fell asleep. ------------- She woke up. Judging by the light, it looked about an hour or so before dawn, yet Moriko felt wide awake. She sat up, then stood up, and inspected everybody. They were all asleep, Tani looking fine. Evean and Roya had come back about five or six hours ago; the scent of their tracks told her. She was about to leave when she noticed something. Mori-Sora had yet to return. Moriko searched for her scent and could only find the one which had been next to her sleeping area. It was old and fading away. There's only one thing to do, she thought, Go. ---------------- Sorry if this seemed self-centered. XP I wanted my character to think about things for a while, that's all.

Damn, I had this really long post and my service wasn't responding and then it shut down. I was literally crying. ----------------------- "Yo," said Akurei, making a peace sign. Then, using all the politness she coud muster, she asked, "Can we join your party?" She indicated herself and Tia, who merley nodded. "Hey Rena," said a male player, "Isn't that the kid you slapped in the market?" Rena looked up from her post of leaning on the wall. "Yeah, it is, Hilind. Surprised she's here." Akurei shot Rena a death glare as Tia spoke. "So...can we?" Hilind shrugged. "Sure, guess so, why not. The more the merrier, right?" Akurei couldn't help but grin. "So that makes six," said Amaya, taking a few paces forwards, then noticed nobody was following her. "Hello? C'mon! Wha'cha waiting for?" The was a murmer of nothings as they followed her into a dimly lite hallway. A pattern of interlocked diamonds decorated the walls, starting off as blue, then turned to red, which changed to green, then yellow, then blue, repeating the pattern. "What's this?" asked Tia suddeny, stopping dead in her tracks. She was pointing to a blank spot onthe wall. "Shouldn't there be something there?" Hunter looked at the wall behind them. "There's one here, but not one there," he said. "What's up?" The two began to investigate the wall as the other four pressed themselves against the other (the hall wasn't exactly what you would call wide), searching for cracks, marks, or dents of any kind. There were none. Hunter leaned back up, shaking his head. "Nothing. Not even a scratch." Tia stood up from her post on the floor. "Ditto," she said. "This must be," began Rena, "One of those dungeons that will go on forever if you don't find something different at one part." They all nodded. It made perfect sense, these kind of dungeons were known to fustrate even the strongest of players, who would wonder for hours, finding nothing unless they observed. "So...what should we do?" Hilind asked. "What can we do?" Amaya replied, sounding a tad exasperated. "What...what about a wavemaster?" excalimed Akurei, the thought suddenly appearing in her mind.

Note: Keep in mind that I am only in 7th grade and 12 years old, so I don't know that much about the subject, just really looking for some answers. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My school is in "the heat" of electing the people for student council, such as representatives for every team (2, 3, or 4 teachers teaching the same circulation of students), president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary. I have never run as a representative (and never will), but next year I plan on going out for treasurer. (Oh yeah, forgot to say, only eighth graders can have those mightly seats of power). I view this time of the year as a popularity contest. I know of tons of preps going out for representatives who aren't even qualified to do so. You know, those b****** who wear those low rise, tight fitting, bleached jeans with skimpy shirts and so on. I know of two people who are my friends and are going out, and I know they'll do a good job because of what they've done. Today at lunch, I had a person come up to the table me and my friends were sitting at, going "vote for Kirby" ('nother rep for our team) and I asked why. No response. So mainly, people are just going out for the hell of it and they don't know a single thing of what to do. I find it highly annoyed. Also, what is the big freakin' deal about dances? If you're like me, and see signs hanging in every place imaginable saying "vote for blah blah for prez" (that's getting annyoing too), and it's a girl, most likely you'll find the text, somewhere, saying "I'll work hard to get you more dances". AND WHO GIVES?!! They said it last year and it never happened. I'm more interested in fun stuff. You know, like those funky days where you can wear your pajamas and so on. I also think it would be really cool to get some more, differnt clubs going, not just the same old ones. I'd find it REALLY fun if we had an anime/manga club. I know of ten people who would just automaticlly join. Or art clubs. We never have those. I mean, if we can have clubs about Math and History, then why not about art? Art is a dying thing, so why let it die? Whew, that's the end of my ranting. I want to run for treaserer. I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions, comments, tips, etc. for such things. You know, like how far I shoud dip into the account and such. Thanks for listeining to my ranting, and if you found anything offensive, then sorry, but this is the way I operate. ^^

I don't really say weird things, unless you count me and my friends going off into all the animes to my 20-year-old brother. ^^ That was fun. My school is so un-anime/manga oriented. I say anime, people go "huh?" Surprisingly though, me and my friends have so far recruited two girls (friends, no duh) into liking anime, I let one of my friends know during band camp who Kuro Neko-sama is, and than there's this eigth grade boy, Logan, who I just found out is a complete Trigun/Rurouni Kenshin finatic. Me and my friend Lorenza (aka, EowynElf) talk about weird/stupid things. Last year, we were going back to the classroom to work on something during lunch, and I had hotlunch, and it was a hotdog, and we went off of how we eat hotdogs. Fun, yes, strange, absolutly not! ^^ Then my other friend, Meghan, has this joke with me where whenever the principal says what's for lunch, he'll say stuff like "Hamburger on a bun" and "Sloppy Joe on a bun" and she'll go, "What do they have to tell us? What's it gonna be on anyways?" Our other joke is how we both hate Sloppy Joe. Meghan: You know what I hate more than Sloppy Joe? Me: No, what? Meghan: Sloppy Joe on a bun. Me: ^^ I write funny, where if I have a good idea and I write it down fast, I'll drop t's and e's and a's, so "the" would either be "he" or "th" and and will be "nd". I'm good, just sometimes I forget things. ^^
