1.
Katana, I've only seen a couple of your posts and my mind hasn't been swayed any.[/size']
Okay, seriously. What do you expect, me to go into a posting frenzy? I'm not one to get actively involved in arguments and such speculations, because it causes everybody to get off track - just look at the record we have going on now. People, believe me when I say I'm a Townsperson. But everyone is saying that, which diverges us even more when we try and track down the Mafia. Tekkaman, you have said that you're a Townsperson, but so has Mom (is it alright if I call you this? ^^; ) and you didn't exactly believe her - and neither did Allamorph. Therefore, what have you given us that proves we should believe you? Simply saying that we didn't vote you Guilty means nothing, since nobody except for Ikillion has been hung via voting. If I was to come out screaming, "I'M IN THE MAFIA!!!", would you believe me? Uh, no. And don't you say that admitting yourself to be the Mafia is different than admitting being a Townsperson. All it does is prove you're in a certain party. What real proof do you have that can back you up? What proof does anybody have? I have also talked to members of Mafia, but that doesn't exactly mean I can trust them. (No offense, folks.) The only true reliance one can have is themselves - at least, in this game it is. The object is to win, so in order for that to happen, you need to be secure. Leaking information out to others makes you wonder sometimes. So really, you must rely on your logic and deduction skills - otherwise, why are you playing? I don't meant to sound harsh, but this is my reasoning for people still left unsure on how to go about this game. ... *goes to mellow out in Photoshop*
 2.
We don't have a whole lot to work off of, but given what we do have, Aaryana_Mom does seem like a slightly more likely candidate than anyone else so far.
I don't think it's quite fair to accuse her as the only suspect for right now. Pretty much the only reason she's in the limelight is because she was accused first, ala Tekkaman last round.
On another note, let's not rely on either of the other positions in the game. Remember that either (or both, heaven forbid) of the deaths could've been of the Priest or Detective, so it's not necessarily certain that they exist at all in the game, nor should be relied upon. The fact that White didn't mention the Detective at all in the last round's results disturbs me somewhat...
The fact that he didn't mention the Detective disturbs me as well. While it would be moronic for the person playing the Detective to be named/pop right out and proclaim their detective-ness, it would at least be comforting to know if they still exist or not. How do we know if we've been blessed or not by the Priest? How do we know the Detective is working? The Priest would be more behind-the-scenes, I'm guessing, but the Detective's actions would at least be known. Noticing the absence of a Detective last round, I kinda assumed poor Delta was it.
 3.
As far as I know, lately Sakura spent a lot more time in the Adventure Square, rather than the Art Studio. Did you mean sakurasuka?
Garflyajkbleh. I got confused too. D: The fact that both victims are females may indicate that the Mafia member/members (God knows how many there are) is/are male. But what does that mean? That they rape their victims or something? *bricked* Perhaps looking at the fact that they were both females isn't much of a clue. The count in the beginning of Mafia was 5 girls and 5 boys (I'm hoping I got the genders right here), so it's not like there's a dramatic difference. It's better than, say, 8 boys 2 girls, and now both of them are gone. >_> For the record, I am female. [strike]Since White doesn't know half the time.[/strike] Once the accusations open up and somebody's willing to make a strong argument, things will probably get more interesting. Right now, we're just all confused at who is of what gender and who hangs out where. >_O
 4. Dude, it's not a holiday banner contest until I've submitted a doomed-to-fail-but-somewhat-uberly-cute banner. >_>; With NO inspiration and the deadline coming, I decided to whore out to my best friend and use one of her pictures (of which I CGed). It's essentially her 'snow fairy', which I used merely for the fact that it's cute and has little shiny puff balls for earmuffs. ...With a color scheme that caters to both the Liquid and Geisha skin. ^_~ ...*collapses* x.x
 5. Ich spreche Detusch! ...Aber nicht gut...aber...aber ich spreche Deutsch! XD Considering I'm just about halfway through my second year, I think I'm pretty good at it. ^^; Lovely pictures you've got going for you, though I really like how it has the purpose of being for your buddy-student in Grade 2. It makes it more meaningful, especially to little Chiara. (She sounds cute. o_o; ) There's a few obvious things, such as how Chiara is a little tilted on the title page, but that's really something that happens...a lot. It happens to me, I know. Probably what I appreciate the most is how thick you've layered on the colored pencils, so it looks nice and filled in instead of having thet paper show through. My only real suggestion would be trying to clean up the text lines and getting all the words (especially Weinachtentszeit) on one line instead of chopping them up. It sorta threw me off a bit while reading (I could pick up bits and pieces, gimme a break xD). Oh, and changing the font to a non-Times New Roman would be nice, though that's more of me. Times New Roman is the bane of my (typing) existence. >
 6.
Well waddyaknow? It's one of the only people to have said nothing yet. Glad to see ya. (That sounded nastier than I meant it to. Sorry.)
I know you weren't meaning to be sardonic, but it did put me off for a moment. Anyways, I'll just explain what happend so as to not create the image that I'm lazy: White is a Canadian. I am an American. Thus, when White opened up the thread for discussions and accusations, it was Thanksgiving weekend. Thursday was spent at my relative's house in Wisconsin, Friday was out shopping, and Saturday was out with my friends. I was GONNA post in the evening, but White closed it. DX Add to the fact that 'Oblivion' has once again made an appearance in my life, and...yeah, let's just say it likes to consume hours that will never again make an appearance. >_>; Anyways, on to the conversation at hand: My instant messaging contact information is all in my profile. I actually use all three of the major IM systems (AIM, MSN, and YIM). My YIM contact is my e-mail address. I am on AIM the most, then YIM; MSN is lucky if it gets to see the light of day once a month. >_>;; As long as you don't annoy me with random crap, then I'm easy to talk to. =D And as of one further note, I'm in Central time, which is the most awesome time zone evar. D:
 7.
As a result very few posts have gone up and on some level I?m finding the whole process a bit confusing. We are supposed to be in a courtroom right? Why aren?t we posting melodramatic accusations back and forth as towns people would do if given the chance?
In defense of White, I will say this: If we were in a coutroom for roleplay purposes, and able to spew out accusations and the like, then things would get really ugly really quickly. The last thing we really need is a Tekkaman v. Boo battle. (History textbooks can do this to you.) ...My train of thought just crashed into the side of the mountain. o_O
 8. *has said nothing but decides for an entry* The OtakuBoards Graphic Worm Also known as the "OBGW", the "Graphic Worm", the "Worm", and other variations. Often times misnamed the "Graphics Worm". The project was basically constructed by placing a continuous string of graphics horizontally, each measuring 600x450 pixels. The left and right sides were to be made in a simpler manner as to allow smoother transitions betwen pieces. The OtakuBoards Graphic Worm was started by Retribution in Feburary of 2006. At first, it was a mere idea, inspiried by another worm created by members of a different forum, but soon gained a popularity that made it "hard to get a post in edge-wise". In the beginning, the Worm contributer order was made by a member PMing Retribution with a request to be added to the que. A member could only ask for one request until the order ended, then they could ask for another spot. This system worked well for the first dozen entries or so, but started to fall apart when members wouldn't post and thus had to be skipped. Within a month of the Worm's beginning, the server it was hosted on crashed. At first, it appeared to be a temporary problem as reported by White, but soon turned into a permanent one, as confirmed by Retribution. A few weeks later, Katana offered hosting for the Worm, and was thus unofficially put in charge of the project. After this time, it fell by the wayside for a month, something that would become quite common in its summer run. After one particually long drought, members were encouraged to continue on with hopes of "making it to the next Nifty Fifty". With the transfer of servers came a new system of submission. Started by Boo, it became a simple system of calling "dibs" on the next piece, then editing ones post when they finished their piece. The problem of three or four people calling "dibs" at the same time, strangely enough, never became a problem. One thing that could be criticised about the thread was its tendency to only have 'established' artists create pieces. Nowhere is this more evident then in the neck-and-neck "race" between White and Katana, each of whom have over five pieces in the Worm. However, the majority of the 'established' artists only kept on creating to keep the Worm alive. Eventually, interest ran out due to school and other such activites, and the OBGW ended with 65 pieces in October. Throughout its course, the Worm was participated in by dozens of members, utilizing programs from Paint to Photoshop. However, the Worm managed to hang on a bit longer, receiving not one, but two, mentions within the course of the OtakuBoards Scavenger Hunt. ---- Fwa-ching. Feel free to add, subtract, multiply, and divide this entry up.
 9. Very nice, [strike]Larb[/strike] White, and certainly different. Fwa-cha! Why do you think being Mafia would be the best? It would give an excuse to test my writing skills, and see if I can be deceptive or not. It's a chance to lead people on and give the whole spiel of what side you are on, but be able to lie right through that smile. And there is nothing better than cackling when you've led somebody off the path and into the forest. Do you hear a chainsaw? No? Just me? Why do you think being Townspeople would be the best? I actually don't because then you wouldn't be in the feakin' Mafia! But I digress. As a person in the company of the majority of participants, there's a more secure feeling coursing through you if you agree with a person or two. If you're wrong, chances are others are wrong as well. But everybody is different, and if you're right...then you're one of the majority that's right. Have you played a version of Mafia before? Yeap. Essentially, it was the same as this, but in real life in a basement with soda. XD If so, did you like it? I was actually one of the few that wanted to keep on playing it, but the others went to go and play Dynasty Warriors... But it was a bowl of fun since whenever the doctor (etc.) was killed off, that person would scream at the pedestrian who did so, going, "YOU JUST KILLED YOUR DOCTOR!" And I really want to re-live that cracked up experince again. +D
 10. OMGWTFBBQ okay. I call next. X) Be back in a little bit. Editz: Yays, I'm finished. =D I sorta continued on with the word theme going on...and...yeah. Clickzorz1!1!! I'm completly spent with trying to think up witty taglines. I'll upload the recent pics to the worm in a bit. =3
 11. r2vq was able to do this in my round, so I will too. It's part of my laziness. Boo

I'm lovin' the whole "reverse opal" thing going on in the background. I've never seen anything like that before. It's just flippin' awesome.
Even though you don't know what's going on with Gaara, I think you captured his whole "mystery/angst" element. The black really offsets the bright colors of the reverse opal.
I like the kanji. =)
There's something about the piece that kinda turns me off. Maybe it's the pixely aspect of the stock image. But that's Larb's fault, not yours. *shot*
Ezzy (Sorry, that name's there forever)

Your piece is pure awesomeness. The whole red-orange-yellow sandblast-thing in the background reminds me of desert storms.
I recongnize the top font, but I can't put my finger on it. Love it for Gaara's name, though.
The fade from black to the warm colors is also very cool. (Sorry, currently braindead.)
With the cool of the warm colors also comes the fact that I would think he's a fire ninja, as opposed to a sand ninja.
The bottom text is bothering the crap out of me. The uneveness makes me raise an eyebrow, since the rest of the piece is so well executed.
My vote goes for Boo. Poor guy doesn't even have a vote for himself yet. >.>
 12. I...am....sick...*ker-sneeze* I didn't know if you wanted text or not, so I left them blank. If you want text or whatever, just say so...I've got ye olde PSDs. No idea...just a collage of stuffies. =3 Avatar. I PUT THOUGHT INTO IT. I never do that. XD Uh...Hm...I require a tissuue. >
 13.
With John choosing not to post for whatever reason, the door is open for someone to take the lead.
"Technically" speaking, though, wouldn't John's answer of "everything is 42" mean that he gets knocked off 2 points? (Unless everything REALLY is 42, at which point I'm eat my socks.) I mean, 'cause then, there aren't that many people who could win this except if you already have four points. (Yes, I'm selfish. =P) Keep going guys, have this go with a bang! ^^
 14. *groan* Sorry for not checking this in...forever...but due to totally random and various circumstances, I haven't really had the nessicary equipment/time for uploading and fixing the worm. To RAR, I apologize. So thanks for not making it a big deal. XD I would like to institute some new guidelines. Not really "rules", though you can call them that if you wish. I'm just doing this so that people can have a better sense of order and hopefully a more lucrative project.

Only post up a "I call next spot!" if you truly intend to participate. Several people have just ditched with no forms of relaying this.
If you DO decide to drop, please delete your post (if possible). If not, then PM me.
When you do "call next spot", please have your piece up in a timely fashion. For right now, I'm gonna put the time limit on 48 hours. If you cannot submit an entry in that time frame, then just delete your call.
Aaaand...that's it. I need to do some history homework. >_>
 15. Alright people, get back into your seats. Please turn off all cell phones and beepers, and if you have a camera or recording device, you will be stabbed within the next five minutes unless you put them away. Thank you and enjoy the second score. Otakufreunde The curtains open to reveal a dreary Avenue OB, effects of rain splashing in the background. Boo is sitting, huddled up in a soaked cardboard box, looking ragged. With the first notes from the piano, Katana walks on, taking immediate reaction to Boo. Katana Ahh...Boo...Right know, you're down and out of the graphics match...and feeling pretty crappy. Boo I'll say. Katana And when I see how "sad" you are...it sort of makes me...giddy...! The beat picks up and dives into a guitar-driven ballad. Lights explode on the stage. Boo Giddy?! Katana Sorry Boris, youkai nature...Nothing I can do! It's...Schadenfreude! Making me feel glad that I finally got farther in a graphics tourament Boo Well, that's very nice for you, Ginger, but it still doesn't explain the giddy part. Katana I didn't say it to explain why I was giddy But everybody else is doing it Did'ja ever cheer when a n00b went up a seasoned graphic vet? Boo Yeah Katana And ain't it fun to see shouting matches about the use of brushes? Boo Sure! Katana Don't'cha feel all warm and secure, seeing a struggling newbie? Boo You bet! Katana That's - Schadenfreude! People taking pleasure in your pain~! Boo Hmm Schadenfreude, huh? What...what's that? Some kind of grammar nazi word? Katana Yeap. It's Grammar Nazee for "happiness at the misfortune of others". Boo "Happiness at the misfortune of others"... That IS Grammar Nazee. Watching a moderator being told she just broke a rule Katana Or watching a newbie realize just what mess he created Boo Being in a RP story, when a newbie asks "is it full?" Katana Oh yeah - "YES!" Boo Schadenfreude! Katana Fuck you newbie, that's what the Inn is for! Boo Ooo, how about asskissers getting warnings? Katana "Married" couples breaking up? Boo Telling vets that they are wrong? Katana Watching people being banned! Boo Anti-mods becoming moderators! Katana Administrators being hated! Boo Watching debaters never reach - Boo and Katana - the ending of their religious speech! Schadenfreude! Schadenfreude! Schadenfreude! Schadenfreude! Katana The boards needs people like you and me, who've been looked down by the mods 'cause when people see us, they don't wanna be us, and that makes them feel great! Boo We provide a vital service, to web communities Boo and Katana You and me! Schadenfreude! Making the web a better place Making the web a better place Making the web a better place To beeeeeeeee.... Katana S-C-H-A-D-E-N-F-R-E-U-D-E!

Katana - Gary Coleman
Boo - Nicky
We hope you enjoyed the scene. Please stay in your seats until the next curtain rises.
 16. Truly horrifying in one way, but truly amazing in another. And yet, nicely edited, since our first copy had about fifteen extra people that could've been put into certain roles. As stated, this is a loving rip-off from Avenue Q. First came some of "Everyone's A Little Bit Racist" and then "Schadenfreude". The first one has to be finished, while the second one just has to be cleaned up a bit, due to...offenses. Blah. Soo...who can be Trekkie Monster, Lucy the Slut, and the Bad Idea Bears? >.> I'm just sort of regretting casting myself as Kate Monster and Dragon Warrior as Princeton. *cough* And don't you dare bring up "Retri's going to find his purpose!" again or I'll kill you. =_=;;
 17. *sigh* I'm sort of in this love-hate relationship with my entry. Looks cool, but according to current artistic trends here on the OB, I'm not sure how well it will be received. And I'm in one of those crappy moods. The week's been waaaaay too busy, hence why I'm not submitting until this late. =_=;; +Textured, lolz+ Lessee...the clouds were hand-drawn by me, so yeah, they weren't pre-made. The general feel I was going for was what Toonami has on their Naruto commercials, so the main focus was getting that texture right...which...I don't think is. >.O I enjoy the textless-ness of my entry. It is teh awesome that way. =) Good luck to you too, Retri. I'm hoping for this one to be a good match.
 18. Seeing as how it's kinda obvious who's gonna win, it's almost pointless for people like me to be posting. BUT WHAT THE HELL! At least I can give it a shot!
#1
She's in a position of power, Blonde, clever, and as sweet as a flower, Don't spam or whine or she'll cross that line, From kindness and beauty into definite cruelty.

I was thinking between two people, but my final thought process goes to Lady Asphyxia. I'm pretty sure I'm wrong, but I did want to give this round a shot. =) Man, if only I had participated earlier...
 19. I've noticed this recent abundance of Ouran lovers...fangirls...here on the OB and on theOtaku. So this is awesome. =) Shoujo-y and shiney, right? Hey look, a butterfly. Ahp - oh - wait - no, it's gone. And the avatar, which is totally different in theme, but I love it because it's just one of those famous scenes. =D And...that's it.
 20. The second animation just had me cracking up...though my first reaction was, "Hey, it's that one lawyer game that Atlus put out that's like Trauma Center but with LAW!" And yeah. Ahh, so Mr. White is you...got it. Bling bling super fantastic.
In fact, I have a list here of those who've said it! A MUCH LONGER LIST!
OR, as I mumbled, "And by a list of people who actually count!"* And I like the kitty avatar, mainly 'cause it reflects my state of mind half the time. >_>;; If animated .gifs worked in reality, then I...I would put this on a...shirt...and uh...I require coffee. *Actually count = no n00bs.
 21. And the first words from my lips? "I'm f***ing dead." =_= Blub. Wellll, it's been a fun tournament. I just only wish the teamwork pieces had lasted futher, since it doesn't appear we will be doing any of that anymore. =P Oh well. I'm excited about this round, though. I'm awaiting to see what challenge we are set to face.
 22.
#2
Once you visit, you'll find the right answers, but only get credit for one.

Me thinks that the answer is this very thread - The Great OtakuBoards Scavenger Hunt 2006. =) I know I'm one of those who is like, 'I'll just wait for the anwers'. And people in the past have gotten in "trouble" by having more than one answer.
 23. I logged on to my internet service, and what greets me - "Crocidile Hunter Steve Irwin Killed". I just sat there, staring at the news ticker for a few minutes, thinking it was just some sick joke, before reading the actual news story. A lot of people, myself included, are pretty much thinking this: "But it's Steve Irwin!" in other words, we're thinking of him as the man who was invincible, and as the person who could defy human logic when it comes to dealing with wild animals. But Irwin was a human, just like the rest of us, something everybody forgets. I'm just shocked and saddened, really. I think the world has suffered a major loss, because now the man who was the most enthused about protecting our wildlife has just passed on. Rest in peace, Steve Irwin, and may your goals and legacy continue on.
 24. Woah...I had been watching this round (been meaning to post, but school is a bi - yeah), and was really apprehensive as to how this would turn out. It was a heated battle, that was for sure, and the narrow margin proves the worthiness of the pieces. Congrats to Kitty, but a definite applaud to Eclipse and Xra for making this a battle worth participating in. =)
 25. Don't try so hard, Boo. >_>;; Boo: Your's was the first piece up, so when I saw it, I knew it was the one I loved. The picture posesses a sort of mystical, sparkly, "shining light" quality to it, and it gives me this feeling of the butterfly actually moving. You also have an eye for the color scheme, because blue and green are the opposite of red and orange. =) I'm so two-sided with the simple black as a background. On one hand, I like how the main entry is just right there, and it draws your eyes to the actual piece itself. On the other hand, I think a trail-ish of sparklies would've worked well too. jigglyness: If I'm not mistaken, I think you revised you posted up, like, three entries. XD I saw all of them, and I'm glad you posted up this one, since I like it the best. This piece is so varying, it gives a great sense of depth and perception. The neutral pallet gives me this idea of a dreary spring day or a wet forest. But like Sara, I was totally and amazingly confused about the butterfly. While I now see it as a "black" butterfly with a shadow, it just didn't look right to me before. Not only that I just...don't get the text. I mean, I sorta do, but then again, I sorta don't. And uh... sakurasuka: I have to be blutn and say I'm a bit disappointed. I've used PhotoImpact many times before (back in the day when I floated from free trial to free trial), and I know that you can get some pretty decent graphics out of it. PI is like PSP that way. The two, although certainly not the same, harness very similar qualities. ANYWAYS, I look at your piece and first go "Pretty!". And while I enjoy the vectors and everything, there's just...I dunno, it just seems like it's not too well made. What bugs me the most are the dots within the flower, since they're so uneven, and vectors are basically known to be clean and (more or less) symmetrical. And I love DDR. I love "Butterfly". And while I like the quote, I don't like how "Samurai." is just there, jumping out yelling at you. It seems awkward compared to the rest of the fitting and italic text. Sara: The green and the muted pink/purple work wonders together. I enjoy the sort of "light" coming from the corner, and how the butterfly is sorta there, but sorta not. Also, due to your gradient work and such, the butterfly looks pretty shiny and pretty. It's...awesome. =) If I do have one complaint, it's that trying to focus on the butterfly itself hurts my eyes because of all the color elements occuring. It's not a horrendous complaint, it just bothers me. =O I'd have to vote for Boo, which, if I calculate correctly, ties up the match. Go forth, voters!
