I read that in second grade and absolutely hated it. It was boring. But that gave way to the fact that I became stupidly obsessed with giggling out, "See the little red balloon..." I like the piece, and how simple, vibrant, and clean it turned out. This looks like something with no handicaps, since the picture flows so well. I also like how the sky is actually put into bars, not a gradiant. It fits with the theme better that way. [b]Sara:[/b] I must say, I was also surprised by the simplicity of the entry. It was really not expected. I'm gonna announce this right now: I really don't like Dr. Suess. And the 1 and 2 imps (it's what I call them, don't worry about it) were quite possibly some of my least favorite characters. But with that beside me, I think the picture is quite cute. ...It's just plain, and the overlaying white box just does the art injustice. The stock picture itself is quite plain to begin with. However, I am impressed - you weren't hindered by the handicaps either. For this round, my possible-enemy-next-round [b]Ezekiel[/b] receives my vote. *huggles Sara* :3[/color][/size]

Many of your current works involve the huge splash of vibrant "crystals" and scratches of colors. The limited pallet doesn't seem to be working in your favor. I like the blue background components, and the choice of font for "Strength", but otherwise, I'm finding it hard to really grow attached to the piece. The grey seems a little "blah", the font choice for "Strengh", "Power", and "Revenge" is just not right, and Sasuke seems a bit stretched in height (that's just a matter of opinion). [b]White:[/b] I love your spelling mistake - it's been the highlight of these battles. XD You have a clean style, I've noticed, and that reflects well in this pic. I like the whole theme of stardom and the troubles and manipulation that comes with it. The leaf, I'm assuming, is like a fan, but at first, I thought it was a marijuana plant. xD Or is it? O.O It's a cool piece, but there are some plxelated areas that bother me. "Broadway" seems a bit fuzzy on the edges, and the crevices of the fan/leaf/thingie are also pixelated. ...Sara told me that animation would be good on my pic. Now I'm gonna hold you hosted to teach me some animating skillz. X3 My vote goes off to [b]White[/b], his spelling mistake, and the fan/leaf/thingie that has been wondering about the legality of it all.[/color][/size]

[b]Kune:[/b] That's...that's Cocaine Sans! xD I like the grungy look and effects of the whole piece. And I'm impressed with the blue, since I've noticed very few people have used blue in this round. And the brush texture is cool. ^^;; There's one thing I don't quite like about this - the stock in greyscale. The blue on top of it takes away from an already non-contrasted photo. First off, that's just the way it turned out. Secondly, she never takes off her coat if she puts it on in the morning. Thirdly, she wears it 'cause she's a pirate. And the ocean breeze. And yeah. Although just seventeen, Senka can drink and play cards like any seasoned male. She grew up on the shores and oceans of Australia, thus speaking English with a tiny, tiny accent thrown in occasionally. If you make fun of the accent, your death will be slow and painful. And because she grew up mainly in the ocean but lived on the land as well, she just randomly dubbed herself as a "land pirate". Not a bandit - the two are completly diffrent. Senka first took interest in science when she heard old stories about the alchemists of old. Determined to prove that alchemy (a la Full Metal Alchemist) was possible, she devoted her free time into researching the ancient science. But because people were all into the whole "modern" stuff, she learned a lot of chemistry as well. Because many old-time alchemists spoke German, Senka learned German as well. She loves to speak it, and enjoys screaming to people, "Du bist eine Kartoffel!" ("You're a potato!") Senka has been able to prove that alchemy could be possible if the right ideas are taken into thought. For example, a water object can only be turned into another water object, a metal object into another metal, etc. She tattooed alchemy runes and symbols onto her hands so whenever she claps them together, she can perform the alchemic feat without any time wasted drawing the circles. The rune is a basic jack-of-all-trades circle, but not good for detailed rituals. She thrives on coffee, ramen noodles, and meat, and yes, sometimes all at once. Senka likes to draw, write, and fence in her freetime and is prone to wild psychotic outbursts. Random Fact: Senka sleeps with plushies of allllll her anime bishies. The list includes: Sesshomaru (Inuyasha), Shigure, Yuki, and Momiji (Fruits Basket), Kurama (Yu Yu Hakusho), Alphonse (FMA), etc. About twenty topple down every morning when she wakes up. ---- Well, this sounds like fun. IE, your image cannot be any different? Or does the limited pallet only apply to the background? Also...what about brushes that take the base color and have that plus different shades of it? I like how the picture is black and white, but the eyes are colored (I can see them!). The background is also a nice mix, because it's not just one color. In terms of balance, though, the black and white sorta overtakes the banner. and I know you use that font a lot, but I'm not sure how much it really fits in with the entire theme. What's the theme? I dunno. (x.x) [b]Zwei:[/b] It's a photo! Eee! Very dark, but really neat. It's cool how the black blends into the girl due to her hair color, and is also echoed by the eyeliner. Again, the small splash of color within the person is a nice effect. But, I dunno, it seems a little drab compared to everything else. A quote? The only one I can really think of is something like "Far Away..." or something. I dunno. It's cool - just a pair of surprised eyes and some eyebrows with a cool pallete of bright colors. That's the sakura I know. XD The white seems overpowering. However, the sudden pop of an image is unexpected, so I can see the blend. It is cool. ;_; [b]Vier:[/b] Aww, that poor little girl, she looks so sad. (X3) I particuarlly like this one, because of A.) How it blends into the BG, and B) The entire person is colored this time. I like the sparkly background too. They were upgrading their PS versions to CS (or something of or relating to that title), so my dad snagged one of the "older" copies of Photoshop 7 for me. Heh. It has that sorta sleekness to it that you really don't find that much around message boards anymore. The skin as a whole looks very clean - a definite good thing. The top image has its goods and bads. First off...well, it's a cool image. ^^;; From what I can tell, it's either a crossover of various anime/video game characters or just a really good fanart. :3 But the guy's head gets chopped off. I dunno if he's just mutilated like that or if you really want it to be that way. If you combine that with the various other suits coming down from the top, a once cool image is sort of losing its shine and appearing a little n00b-ish. (*screams*) Resizing the image might help in order to get the guy's head back in but still leave the original people there. And even though it's a pain, if you were to get rid of all the other suit things coming down, that would also give it a boost in sheek. ...And I just don't get that line running across...If it 'twas more pixely (like, if it had a block effect going on), that would seem pretty cool, since it would go with the theme. I love the logo though. X3 It's coolios. And overall, the skin is great. It's just the top image and the little nitpicky stuff that goes with it. I'm gonna leave with this cruncy nugget: I'm fully aware that you probably realize most of this stuff. XD It goes with me too, and it goes with just about any webmaster...or graphic designer. Just a simple animatic - no color changing or anything. As you can see, there are eight comic frames. I'm thinking that for each frame, give them a two second length or so. And for the eighth one (the one with the text), hold it for a little longer - maybe 3 or 4 seconds. You will probably need to adjust this for the text to be readable...or you can do your own. For the last frame (the ninth), I would like the l33t words: "Ph34r teh Sproing". Preferably, white text on a black background. Okay, rundown... 1.) Nine frames in total. 2.) Eight frames are from the comic. 3.) First seven have a 2 second exposure 4.) Last comic frame (the one with speech bubbles), have a 3-4 second exposure 5.) Last frame with the words "Ph34r teh Sproing" - white text, black background preferred And you don't have to make an avatar!
