  1. I do not have as lengthy a response. I was a huge matrix nerd back in the day. Posters, merch, etc. Lol. I was very pumped to get back into that world and see something new and different. I enjoyed it, though 1 & 2 were my favorites, but that could just be because I was so influenced by it as a teen. I had a few qualms with it but I don't know how to put them into words. I think I wanted more action, less psychological chit chat in his video game world... But that's also the old teen in me. ?‍♀️
  2. No one will see this. They're 5 now. He loves his hot wheels roads, she is really good at coloring. I'm happy one of them got my artsy side. Their dad is a good artist as well so one had to.
  3. Whoa, well (late) congratulations! Although the little nugget will be 2 soon, hope all is well. I posted back in 2011 about where I'd see myself in 8 yrs and I guess I've accomplished some of what I wanted. Lol. I wanted a limit of two kid's, and I have twins that just turned 5. I'm still training, although it isn't everyday for three hrs a day, but I stay fit so that's a plus. In the next 8 yrs I'll be 44. Hopefully still training, raising my twins (who will be 13 then) to be good humans, and happy. Maybe toss in more travel and exploring as a family. Now that comment definitely ages me from the young version of myself back in 2000. I hope everyone is doing well.
  4. I thought I'd pop in to see how OB was doing. I see it has pretty much died out. Sad to see it go, so many memories made here. ?
  5. Haha, yeah I agree. I never would've imagined that either. I've had to do lunges while holding one, just to finish a workout. Never thought that would happen, lol. Currently they have their first cold. Here's two, a few weeks ago. Jun is wearing the shirt I was brought home from the hospital in, 31 years ago. The other is one of the few pics of me and them.
  6. They will be 5 months at the end of November. Although their corrected age would be 3 months, since they were nine weeks early. As of their last Pediatrician appointment, Jin was 10lbs 6 oz., Jun was 7 lbs 14.5 oz.
  7. This one is actually old, but Jin is over eight lbs now, Jun is over 6. And I have a cold...ugh.
  8. First one is Jin, he's all sprawled out. The rest are Jun.
  9. Thank you. I never realized how hard it would be to have a child in the NICU. I just can't wait to have them both home.
  10. Well, it's been interesting. We had the baby shower on Saturday, non traditional. We had a little over 200 people, an inflatable boxing ring, and other outdoor games (not baby games). I opened gifts away from others, because there was way too many. Took a few hours. Called off the next day extremely swollen in my ankles and feet. Worked a short shift on Monday. Took a small nap after I got home, then helped my husband with some stuff in the garage. Until it started pouring. As we sat down on the couch to eat dinner I felt as if I had peed myself. I went to check, and liquid was just coming out (gross, I know). It stopped, so I went back down stairs, happened again. This time my shorts were soaked. I figured one of the water's broke. After a call to the hospital, they said to definitely come in. That was around 10pm. Sure enough, baby A's water broke and I was having contractions that I couldn't feel. So was admitted that night. At only 30 weeks (full term is 37). They were hoping to keep me on hospital bed rest until 34, and no further (anything after can cause infection after the water breaks). Had iv's put in, got a Steroid shot at 2am to help strengthen their lungs (and another 24 hrs later). Had minimal contractions throughout the night that tapered off. The next day however (Thursday, June 29), I had those same ones that gradually got worse. I was tearing at the sheets. When they checked, I was already fully dilated. I was whisked off to the OR (in case I needed an emergency C-section). My husband had just gotten to the hospital maybe a half hour before. Baby A: Jun Lily Tibbs was born at 8:45 pm, and Baby B: Jin Ekai Tibbs at 9:10pm. Both are preemies, born at exactly 31 weeks on Thursday, June 29. She is just over 2 lbs and he is just over 3lbs. I was discharged today, but they will be in the NICU for awhile. It's been an interesting few days.... I look like a hot mess, ignore that. A is Jun, and the second and third images are Jin.
  11. Two week old ultrasound images. B is first, and is the boy. A is the girl obviously. So far he is 2 lb 6 oz, she is 2 lb 1 oz.
  12. Welcome, I've been here for over a decade, almost two decades. It isn't as active as it once was, hoping one day it will pick back up!
  13. Lol, it is. But it honestly wasn't intended to be. He was named after a grandfather. But he does joke about it frequently. And Japan, I already have people calling them Yin and Yang. Ha!
  14. Lol, my husband was born and raised here, so it's nothing but a joke. But some of those Viet names can be pretty hilarious. His mom's Viet name is Liu (not sure of the spelling, pronounced lee-you) but when she came to the US she went with Van... I wouldn't mind them having Asian names, whether it be a first or middle name. My husband doesn't want anything "too Asian", as he would say. He was picked on a lot in school just because of his nationality, and doesn't want to fuel the fire for them. Not sure I ever mentioned this, my husband's name is Charlie, and he is full Viet. Now, a lot of younger people don't get why that is funny.
  15. Lol, you're right, Goku and Vegeta wouldn't work out so well. Although my husband isn't too helpful either yet, he says we'll name them Charlie and Charlie, with different spellings (his name being Charlie btw).
  16. Lol....My husband, being the crazy Asian that he is, tell's people that we'll drop silverware, and the sound that it makes will be their names! Other then that, I've had suggestions like Jin and Jun, Goku and Vegeta, Korbin and Leeloo (The Fifth Element). And thank you everyone. These pictures are from 18 weeks, and I'm 22 weeks now. Half way! A is the girl, B is the boy. Unfortunately she has an umbilical cord issue called Velementous. A normal umbilical cord goes from the mother, through the placenta and to the fetus, which is his case, her umbilical cord, however goes around and through the membrane which can cause slower growth, because she doesn't get as much nutrients. It's really just a matter of watching her weight very carefully, and there is nothing I can do currently except monitor. There can be other complications, but it isn't always the case. It happens frequently with multiples, or with women over a certain age, etc. But currently they are both active and healthy.
  17. I'm not sure how many people care about the news, but since I've been her since I was fourteen years old I figured I'd share. We're expecting twins on August 28. One boy and one girl.
  18. I'm in disbelief. I know what it's like to lose someone from cancer, I lost my step-dad on July 4. I heard on here a few months ago that he had cancer, although it may have been an old post, considering the low activity lvl here these days. Then received an e-mail today from the OB. I was shocked then, and even more so now. I didn't know him personally, but I know I'd talked with him here and there on the boards. Always friendly, a large figure within the community. I associated the name Desbreko with the OB. I'm so sorry to his family and friends for the life they lost, and I hope he's playing video games in the clouds, without pain.
  19. I miss the activity as well. And thank you for your comments.
  20. My husband has been watching Jessica Jones and Daredevil. I can't stand either one, lol. I'm still slowing watching Naruto Shippuden, although it's been ages since I've watched an episode. I started watching Dragonball Super, I'm around episode 40. I only watch episodes while I'm on the treadmill, and only when I'm walking at the highest incline for an hour, way too hard while running, therefore I don't get much 'show time'. Dragonball Super isn't bad...but I don't think I'm far enough in. I dislike some of the changes in some of the character's personalities, Vegeta doesn't have that bad ass feel as much as he did in the original series. Gohan is still a pussy...which I do hope they change, lol! He was my favorite character during the cell games, then it was all down hill after that. I do like that GT was totally disregarded.
  21. My friend who teaches the kids Muay Thai told the kids to stretch me during their class...so here I am, with a bunch of kids holding my leg up. Lol
  22. I know no one will even look at these, but I haven't posted any artwork in years. Back when this place was super active, I was drawing for hours each day. As I've gotten older I haven't drawn as much, but recently I've been feeling the urge. Ive been eyeing some Copic skin tone markers for awhile and finally got my hands on a pack. Note: I took these pictures with my iPod. Super ghetto, I know.
  23. Most of us have been here for over a decade, starting out in our early teens or sooner. We all had/have goals of what we want/ed to accomplish in life. What are you doing these days? Are you doing what you thought you would be doing? For me, I wanted to be a manga artist and draw for the rest of my life. Although I improved throughout high school, and had that mind set for years, that did not happen. I guess it's kind of sad, nothing I thought I would be doing, am I actually doing, lol! I'm not as successful as I had hoped I would be sixteen years later. But that's life, it's unpredictable. I traveled, got married; and we own a house. I started going back to school for criminal justice a few years ago. I'm not even done with that, it's hard for me to work and go to school so it's taking much longer than anticipated. I rarely draw these days, I still enjoy doing it but it hasn't been a priority. So that comic artist idea has fled, lol!
  24. Like many of you I've grown up here. I started when I was fourteen, and I'll be thirty in September. I was a shy kid, and this place allowed me to express my opinions and share my artwork with others without fear. I generally hovered in the artsy section, posting and viewing other's artwork. It allowed me to see my own work in a different way with the construction criticism that I was given. I also learned of Internet etiquette, like Vicky stated. And how that has all but died in other regions of the net...lol. Thank you for the OB!
  25. Im a visual learner, and a very slow learner. I have to be shown something multiple times, or doing the activity multiple times before it sticks. In regards to reading, I will read over something over and over before it makes any sense, which was not helpful while in school. Reading a loud was horrifying to me as a kid because if I read something out loud the words are coming out but my mind isn't comprehending what I had just read at all. So if the teacher asked me about what I read I couldn't answer, I had absolutely no idea. It's terrible and annoying.
