I take Taekwondo. Online martial arts, thats a new one. I prefer the actuall training, but I understand your doing this as school work so whatever floats your boat. Your going to have to pay close attention to fully understand the correct way to perform certain techniques and kicks, seeing as its online and not in person. I would find it hard to learn that way as a beginner. As someone who has taken it for a while I could probebly pick up on things much quicker. Obviously stretch good. Its hard giving advise for this kind of online class. Tell us more about it and maybe we could be of more help. :/

ChibiHorsewoman, I really like your signature. Its simple, but artsy. And I've always loved that style. Plus the colors are perfect. 9/10 One point off because I'm not Irish. :p Kudos to Gavin, haha.

Why Happy birthday Mr. Maul! ;) Birthdays were so much more fun when I was a kid. My parents always made my birthday special when I was little, so I have so many awesome memories. My birthday was actually a couple weeks ago, and I wasn't really expecting much. Turning 22 really isn't so exciting. It was still a great day though. Unfortunately it fell on a monday this year. XD At work I recieved a card signed by everyone, which they do for everyones birthday anyway. I go to Taekwondo & Muay Thai right after work so that was a blast. My instructor, knowing how crazy I am about doing abs, had everyone line up and one by one punch me in the stomach. Someone also made me brownies, knowing I'm not much for cake. They also sang 'happy birthday' aswell, which was quite funny seeing everyone all sweaty. When I got home I had a little thing with my dad and brother, nothing special.

Wow, I'm surprised this thread is going to be allowed. Anyway, I'd rate Eclipsed Dreamer's signature a five. The banner itself is very smooshed together, and the lyrics are okay. Heh, I got tired of 3 Doors Down along time ago, so its just personal opinion. ^_^

Both did well I think, but I like Jeremy's use of space more and the darker colors. I didn't like the text much though. Cat, to me yours seemed to random. Good job to the both of you though. ^_~ -
I have no problem with women pastors. They are both trying to get the same message accross. Although I will mention one specific women pastor on television who I can't stand. I can't recall her name though. Something Scott I think...

It was okay. I agree with you visualkei about Jet Li's characterization of the monkey king. That got on my nerves. I didn't really think the martial arts were very good either. I won't be buying it.

I've been to various museums, most recenly..well a few months ago, I visited the Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem, Israel. That was amazing, and depressing all at once. It would probebly take you a whole day to walk through the whole place, if you looked at everything. Maybe longer. The architecture of the main building itself was amazing. I remember one specific building I walked into, I actually wasn't even sure I was allowed in. It was pitch black, and I could hear talking coming from somewhere in a low voice. It was like a creepy movie. When I walked inside it was all dark, but you could see these glass panels everywhere with I think writing on them(or maybe it was pictures), I can't remember exactly, and a recording of every single person who died in the holocaust. So you would hear random names being said, in a dark room, with only a little light shining on these glass panels. Its hard to explain, but it was pretty eerie.

I have two Halloween parties to go to this year. One is on Halloween, the other I'm not sure yet. Last year it was after Halloween so I have no idea. As for what I'm be, I'm still thinking. I was a ninja last year. I ordered the uniform from BlackBelt mag, expecting it to be 'good'. It wasn't, it was so uncomfortable, I could barely kick in the stupid thing. This year I've considered an Egyptian, because I love Egypt, but I don't want to wear a wig. I've also thought of an Air Force pilot, because I love the military, or even a AF pilot from the 50s era because I saw a jacket at Target with that old pilot feel/look. So I'm not sure yet. My favorite holiday[s] are Christmas and Easter. And no its not because of the presents.

I'm not into tattoos, or a lot of piercings, but it doesn't really bother me. I only have three peircings. One in each ear, and the cartilage of one ear where I have a hooped spiked earring which is I think one or two sizes larger than the normal size, whatever that would be. :p But as Raiha said about her swimming, with what I do more piercing would just get in the way. I've considered it...but I do martial arts, and its practically my life. I take my earrings out when I spar. So doing that constantly with more than I have would be a complete hassle.

How'd you come up with your username?
SaiyanPrincessX replied to Lunar's topic in General Discussion
Oh the many times this topic has arose here at OB. Anyway, my name comes from a DragonBall series I came up with back in 2000. It began in the alternate timeline that Trunks grew up in, after he killed off cell. He ended up having a family, and his daughter whom I named Trohan would be me. So seeing as King Vegeta was king of the Saiyans, making Vegeta prince...but then Vegeta's father was dead so that would make present Vegeta king wouldn't it? And Trunks prince? Therefore Trunks daughter would be princess. The series I called Dragonball X(xtreme), which is why I use an "X" at the end of my name. Much artwork ensued from this aswell. I've been using this same name for the past eight years. It pretty much comes natural now. :/ -
Psh, figures that nobody would bother to post. Losers. Anyway, I really enjoy your art style. The amount of detail, and the clean lines is wonderful, and I like the idea behind this piece aswell. I really want that light sabre. By the way, happy belated birthday! You and my brother both share the same birth date, although he's three years younger.

This is a video made from our trip to the KICK/WAKO Nationals in Chicago. You'll see me in the very begining kicking some targets, practicing before my fight. Plus sporatically throughout the video, although no one here will recognize me anyway. Heres one my brother made. Benny, Samantha, and Boo. Samantha(black and white) actually passed away last summer, while I was in Japan. :(

My first year of high school, and what an opener that was. XD I was in ninth grade, and in second period I believe. We have tvs all throughout our school, even in certain hallways, so it was televised the whole day. I remember watching it in math class the whole period and seeing the second plane hit, and then see them both collapse. I was so nervous too. My mom actually picked my brother and I up from school early because she tought we might be scared, and let us stay home the next day. There were some students just walking out of school.

What was the most disgusting thing you've tasted?
SaiyanPrincessX replied to Lunar's topic in General Discussion
I also had some Cow Tongue while I was there to, but that will forever be in a category all its own.
I had cow tounge while I was in Israel. It wasn't bad, I mean the texture was a little diffrent; chewier, but the taste was exactly the same as the rest of the cow. When I was younger I had a cheese crisp and later threw up, and ever since then I have to have something else on it like salsa, otherwise it makes me gaga a little. Although the cheese crisp had nothing to do with me getting sick. Another incident was at a fair I went to with my family ten years ago. I went on some 'spinny' rides with my cousins and I got the worst migrane in the world, and everyone was getting those disgusting elephant ears. Ever since then the very thought of those things makes me feel sick. Luner, you drank Vapor Rub...? I don't think that stuff is actually etible. O_O I'm not too fond of spinach anymore. A couple years ago I loved it, but not if I have it in a salad I gobble it down first just to get it out of the way. The very texture makes me cringe a little, yet I'll still eat it because its good for me. Its no where near as bad a cucumbers anyway. x,x Yes I've tried a few pieces of dog food before when I was little. My brother and I had a friend who liked it and got us to try it. I remember it being really salty, but I can't recall the taste. :/ -
I thought I'd posted here. o,O Anyway, I have a few nicknames. In my martial arts classes I get various names like machine, cyborg, android, Beckatron(my real name is Becky). Beckatron is the one thtas been sticking lately, lol. It because I'm there everyday, for two to three classes a night, and I can go on and on. I didn't go to class yesterday and everyone thought I died, lol. At work I get karate girl, my last name, Bec, ninja, other random things. I used to be called turtel by the manager because I was slow at scanning. I hated that name. My brother used to call me Sparky all the time when we were younger, and I have no idea how that came about.

What was the most disgusting thing you've tasted?
SaiyanPrincessX replied to Lunar's topic in General Discussion
I remember once when I was younger I was sick with something, I can't remember what, but I had to take this special children's medicine. It tasted like a tire...even worse. You know the smell of a tire?...yeah, thats what it tasted like. Cucumbers. I hate them! The smell, the taste, the very thought of them...it just makes me want to hurl! I can smell them a mile away too, its terrible. I like pickles though, lol. Ocotpus! Ack. I tried these round fried things while in Japan, and gagged. I took another one and peeled the breading off to find that it was octopus..it had a little suction thing it still. Thats all I can think of at the moment. -

Sir Boo, I'd love to vote, but you seem to be lacking a poll. ;) Aha! September 15th happens to be my birthday. Pwn. I think I'll go with Lrb on this one. I like the chalk on chalkboard idea, however I don't like the grass, it doesn't fit atall. -
Ha, clothing style. Well this time of year I wear shorts and tank tops and t-shirts. Yeah shorty shorts. My favorite pair of shorts are beige and comfortable. I don't spend much on clothes. I like Deb for pants and shorts and some shirts, and I can sometimes find shirts at Walmart and Target, but I don't buy pants or shorts there because they arn't my style. o_O My shirts vary from somewhat dressy to plain t-shirt. My current favorite bing a teal tank top with thin strips on it. I'll wear almost any color, except pink, or purple. I do not wear pink, ever. When its not warm enough for shorts I wear jeans. I'm all for the huge bell bottoms, I don't care what you say. :p I love hoodies aswell. I have my Taekwondo hoody I wore a lot last year, and the year before, and I have a few others that'll I'll be able to wear this fall. One says Vanyo Fight Team on the front with two guys kicking each other in the back(this would be the team I'm on), and one I got at my fight in Chicago that says 2008 Wako Championship. So I don't buy those things in stores. As for jackets, I have a basic black coat with a thin blue trim down the sleeve, and light blue fleece inside. Its comfortable, practical for winter weather, and not stylish at all. I also have another jacket that my dad bought me for Christmas last year that must have been atleast $50. Its long and brown, suade I think, with a furry interior. Its alright, I would mainly wear it to church during winter time. It doesn't have much room to move around in. I also have a pleather jacket I bought in my high school days, its real thin. Its nice, but I don't know when the last time was that I wore it. My shoes are very basic. I have a few pairs of Sketchers, most are old and I'll use them if I go to the park and its muddy or something. Plus my Addidas running shoes, which I use more than anything. They're white and light blue. I bought them just before going to Japan last year, and specifically for that, and running of course. I'm not a girly girl atall. I wear earrings, and a cross necklace here and there, and I like jeans and short shorts, but I don't wear skirts or dresses atall. To church its dress pants, always, heh. The last time I wore a dress was for my graduation in 2005.

You Don't Want to be the Candyman
SaiyanPrincessX replied to The13thMan's topic in General Discussion
1. What level of education are you at? Highschool, college? High school and a few college classes. I'm kind of up in the air right now. 2. What's your favorite subject, or if you're in college, what's your major? In school I always loved art, history and english. 3. Why is it your favorite subject or field of choice? Art, for obvious reasons, I've always loved to draw. I like learning about what those before us have done, especially ancient history. English..well I liked this more while in high school and younger, but not all of it. I don't like poetry, or the stupid books they make you read which they consider "classics". 4. What's your ideal job along the field you are studying? I'm looking for more realistic answers. If anybody says they want to be a candy man when they grow up i will be uber pissed! I'm up in they air. I've considered doing art for the rest of my life; drawing comics. But I like to be an active person, and sitting in one spot all day long all the time doesn't sound very appealing to me. I've also considered being a Taekwondo instructor one day and opening another school under my current. But I'm not to sure about that since I prefer the training over teaching, lol. I have juggled joining the military for the past three years, preferably the Air Force. Its tough to make such a huge decision. 5. Talk about whatever it is that interests you! Why is it so damn interesting? Why'd you choose it, blah blah blah. Martial arts, drawing, working out, traveling. I love martial arts and working out for pretty much the same reasons. Its good for you body and mind, and I want to become the best. Plus I love sparring, ha! I've been drawing since I was really young, and I've always enjoyed it. Its relaxing, and I like creating my own characters, or doing fanart. Traveling is always fun. I've been blessed to have the oppurtunity to visit two of the three places I've always wanted to go to. Japan and Israel. My next location is Egypt, which I hope to get too soon. I really don't mind the long, long, flights, going there is half the fun. All the antisipation! Coming back always sucks though, I never want to leave. -
Well in the past we would have family over and cook out or something, but for the last..three years? We've gone over to someone's house from church. She usually has the same people every year, and I see them all at church so I know them too. We eat and chat it up. She has it the day before Labor Day though, so that was yesterday. Good fun.

What Martial Arts Are You Into?
SaiyanPrincessX replied to chibi-master's topic in General Discussion
I know I've said this before. XD I do Taekwondo and Muay Thai kickboxing. I also do ground fighting, but not much recently. I've been doing Taekwondo for four years, and achieved my black belt last September. The Muay Thai kickboxing I've been doing for I think three years or so. All my the same instructor, diffrent classes however. I'm there five days a week for usually three classes a night, except Weds. and friday when I do two classes. I love Taekwondo because it focuses so much on the feet, I enjoy kicking people in the head and spinning around. I've been helping out with the teaching aswell, for the past year and a half or so. I've considered a career in TKD, however I've realized I prefer the training over the actual teaching, lol. I also love my Muay Thai kickboxing. This is hands, feet(low and high kicks), knees, and elbows. We don't train the elbows as much as the knees however. Lately I've been doing more sparring in this than TKD, so when I revert back to TKD style; which is no hands to the face, no shin kicks(low kick), and no knees, it gets a little confusing. Recently I sparred TKD and punched him in the face twice on accident out of habit, lol. It really messes with your mind. I've done a few local TKD tournments with sparring and forms, and had my first real Muay Thai competition in Chicago august 1st through 3rd. I learned a lot from that. I'll probebly be doing a San Shou style fight, with take downs, at a local tourny not to far from here to get more experience in the ring. I did ground fighting, which is Ju-Jitsu but we usually went without Gi. I enjoy that aswell, and did that for probebly almost three years untill recently. I prefer stand up over ground, but some ground knowledge is always essential I believe, to some extent. I've taken one class in Bujinkun Ninjitsu while I was in Japan, with a ninja buddy I met where I was staying. The guys I went to Japan with were there to train with the top Ninjitsu masters, like Hatsume. I didn't train under him, it was another well known master in Japan, but I don't recall his name. He was short, my height, very friendy and spoke pretty good english. I didn't like it to much though, the diffrences between my style and ninjitsu are pretty drastic, but I'm glad I tried it. He did compliment on my form though, which is from my previous martial arts training so that made me feel good. I'd like to try other martial arts, but Taekwondo and Muay Thai kickboxing I think will always be my top priorities, but I think its good to branch out and experience other styles. -
Kicking the Bucket: My Most Gruesome Thread Yet
SaiyanPrincessX replied to Lunar's topic in General Discussion
I wouldn't want to know, atall. When it happens, it happens. As to how? Something quick I guess, or honarable, heh. Just as long as it isn't from some tormentingly long disease. x_x -
Wow, I remember when I first started high school. I moved the summer before to a new school district too, so I knew no one. My school seemed so big and very confusing. It was a two story building, but I only had one class my freshmen year and one my sophmore year up there. It took me a few weeks to get used to where everything was, and how extremly crowded it was. My graduating class was huge. I've been out for three years now, and I know I could still find my way around that freakin school. So don't worry, we've all been through it and you'll get through it just fine. It just takes time to adjust. I remember before I started high school I thought people really did shove you into lockers, lol! Although, I'm sure that has happened to someone here on OB. o_O
