1. My most expensive item that I've purchsed so far was my car. $5,000 all in cash, straight forward. Which wasn't bad atall. Then in second was my whole trip to Japan, which cost me $3,000. Aside from that, nothing real big pops to mind. I try not to buy anything real expensive. When I got back from Japan I did get an Ipod Nano, about 200 bucks. I do kind of regret it, because I don't really use it, but I guess it could come in handy. I'd like a Wii, but I'm not paying that much money. I'll wait untill it goes down a few hundred dollars, which will likely be when the next Nintendo system for probebly $800 comes out.
2. I love fruit. I prefer fruit over veggies, but I eat my veggies too. - Apples - Pears - Strawberries - Rasberries - Blackberries - Grapes - Oranges - Pineapple I also love tart fruit, so green grapes and apples are the best. My favorite fruits are apples; green or Gayla. I don't like red apples, they're too sweet and I don't like the texture. Pears, if they arn't firm, then I won't eat them. I don't like the taste of a really ripe pear, and I don't like the juice running down my arm. Apples and pears are my most common fruits, because they are easy for snacking, and taking for break at work. My least favorite fruits are bananas, blueberries, watermelon, Centelope, probebly a few others I can't think of. I'll eat bananas occationally, because I know they're good for me, I'm just not crazy about the taste. Blueberries have a good flavor, at times, but I don't like the texture when you bite into one. Watermelon and Cantelope I just don't like period.
3. I carry a purse, and I'm tired of it. Its just that its so convenient. In there I have a combination lock; which I use for work, a few writing utensils, a little vitamin keychain with three Ibuprofen in it, a zipped bag thing with a few hair things, blah blah, tissue, bandaids, my wallet, some other random things. I really can't renmember everything. In my wallet I have my drivers lisence, a library card that is probebly expired, a card for Panera, an old SunCoast card, my Debit card, the Credit card I took to Japan and never used, a paper card for Tomo(Japanese food), and one for Asian Feast(Chinese), tons of reciets I need to put in my book from my Debit card(it piled up since I never put them in before I left), about thirty something dollars, plus about thirty cents, probebly a few cards I can't remember. I should probebly go through and edit this post, heh. Oh well, those are the basics.
4. I just got back last tuesday from a two week stay in Japan. Yes the flight is extremely long, atleast for us US travelers. 11 and a half hours to be exact. On the way to Japan I had to change in Detroit, same with on the way back. It was daylight all the way to Japan. The morning I left I saw the sunrise in Japan, then a few hours into the flight I saw the sunrise again. So twice in one day; it was carzy. Yes Japan is a expensive country. When it comes to food generally the Japanese food is cheaper than American food. I went to Lawson alot, which is like a 24 hour convienent store. Fruit and vegetables are very expensive, so when buying them its best to wait untill an hour before the store closes because this is when everything is marked down. Most places open at 10am and close around 8 or 9pm. Closing time all depends though. I had the priviledge to meet a few people who teach english there aswell. One speaks fluent Japanese, and the other speaks only about five words of Japanese. I too have considered this. Trains and food can get expensive real fast, so you have to watch your budget. Not to mention souveniers of course. Your right about the cabs too. I only used it twice, but I wasn't the only one in the cab. I used the bus once. Japanese television is crazy. It really actually makes no sense, but its funny. Where I was we did get CNN and a few channels that we could change to english, with Japanese subtitles. I agree, Japan is a very beautiful place to visit, and I hope to go back next year.
5.
Thanks! BTW, Princess, you can still make one. ^_^ (And if you or Indi want, join? *puppydog eyes*)
Er, I don't think indifference men't he was going to make one. He was only helping you out on font sites. ^_^ Anyhoo, here is the banner. If it isn't what you had in mind, or would like something changed, let me know.
6. Oh boy, I'm all over this one. I am a Matrix banner veteran..er, meaning I've made loads of Matrix banners in my day due to a major obsession with the movies. Its been awhile though so I'd like to make another. Actually, I still have my Matrix website up, heh, the memories. I'll get started later this evening or in the morning.
7. Here is a recent one of me from my Japan trip. Its Akihabara, the electronic district. The humidity makes my hair do unspeakable things. XD >Arcade building
8. I love both tea and coffee. I've been in Japan for two weeks so I haven't had any coffee since I left. I have had atleast 3 cups today so far, lol. I had plenty of tea over there of course. Normally I don't drink coffee during the week unless my mom is coming over. Thats just how it works out, its not intentional. I'll make up for it on sunday though when I go to church. They seem to have the best coffee there. If I do go out I do like Starbucks, but I have only had it twice. There is also good coffee at Borders, the book store. As for tea, I do enjoy the basic Lipton tea(which I don't remember the actual name of), green tea, or iced tea. In the winter I make a few cups of decaff tea a day just to warm me up. Usually when I make tea I don't put anything in it because I'm lazy. If I do its cream and sugar, simple. Cream and sugar in coffee is a must, but I don't use much sugar. I've been drinking coffee most of my life actually. I got hooked on it when I was little and my mom would give me some when she drank it. Heh.
9. DeathKnight you look diffrent! So does Boo. I guess its been awhile. o,o > The SPX and Yen
10. Has anyone ever traveled to another country from where they currently live? Where did you go? Tell us about your experinces. Also, where would you like to visit? I myself have never been out of the United States. I've been to alot of states but not out of the country. I will be going to Japan on tuesday though for a two week stay. Going with a group of ninjas...I'll explain. There is a teacher at the high school I went to who teches Bujinkun Ninjitsu in the area and he goes to Japan every year to train with Hatsume Soke. He brings along some of his ninja students aswell, but everyone pays there own way. He stays in the same guest house every yeah, which is 40 minutes from Tokyo. I'm very excited and have been saving for this trip for months. I got my passport in April, my plane ticket in may, and $1500 converted into Yen last monday. I finally got my luggage today aswell. I still have to buy a few essential items, plus packing left to do. My friend, who actually went with the ninjas two years ago, will be helping me pack tonight. 1 day 18 hours 9 minutes 57 seconds at the time of this post edit. I've been wanting to see Japan for years. I also want to go to Israel, Egypt, and Korea. I would also love to see places in Europe and other countries, but these are my main focuses. I pray I will be able to go to all of them someday, that would be amazing.
11. Snatches the adorable little kitties. Oh..so cute. Ahem, anyway. I have probebly posted this a bazillion times, but its still fun. I have three cats. I've pretty much always grown up with cats. We have had a dog or two in there, plus bunnies, fish, hermit crabs, and whatever else. The oldest is black and white and her name is Samantha. We call her Mantha for short. We have had her half my life; I was ten years old when we got her. She's my Phoenix kitty, and she has been through alot. She used to be such a killer. She would catch birds out of midair and eat the whole freakin thing. Nowadays shes pretty frail, and has lot alot of weight. I don't think she has much longer, and when she passes I'll probebly be devestated. She has a respiratory problem, and she coughs alot. Although she doesn't seem to be in pain. Benjamin is our middle cat; orange and white. Benny is normally what we call him though. He's such a brat, in a good way. Outside he's a killer, and loves bringing us sacrifices, and leaving the carcuss downstairs in a corner under this table. But when he comes in, its the most adorable thing. He meows as loud as he can untell he finds someone to love him. Usually my brother or me. He's such a big baby, and he is pretty big, being a male. His nails are huge! You always know its Benny when he's walking accross the kitchen floor because you can hear the sound of his nails tapping on the floor as he walks. Benny also loves to suck on the tuffs on blakets..those strings sticking out on quilts. Boo is the youngest, and a tard. She is the only cat we've ever had thats been declawed(front paws only though). I think she's about 2 years old, but she is so much like a kitten still. Shes actually our first long hair cat aswell. Her breed is Ragdoll, and its funny because the description of a Ragdoll cat describes her exactly. Its like she has no bones; when you pick her up its like she goes limp. Heh. She likes to greet me when I get home from work, and follows me around. She's very spunky and likes to do the Trinity Matrix wall run alot. Boo likes to jump in your lap from time to time too. Boo is grey and white. I prefer cats over dogs. Dogs are loud, and too needy. Cats are more independent, agile, fun. Don't get me wrong, I still like dogs, but not as much.
12. Thank you, I'll look into these games. I've also considered Final Fantasy III, but I don't know much about it, or the others yet. If anyone else has more suggestions I'd be grateful. If you can afford it, come with. Lol. Edit: Sakura, I love your sig.
13. I'll be going to Japan in less than two weeks and I would like to get another game for my 15 hour flight. XD I own Diddy Kong, Yoshi's Island, and Animal Crossing. I guess a little insight of the types of games I like would help. RPGs, some racing(M'Kart kind, or Rush), Platform. Mario type games, Sonic, The Sims, some first person shooters(Duke Nukem). My brother suggested Harvest Moon, though he's never actually played it only heard of it from others. Lol. I've considered Contact but I'm not sure, I've only read about it online. My friend wants me to get Poke'mon Pearl, but I don't really play Poke'mon games anyway so that would be a waste. Any help would be appriciated.
14.
I think it would be great if we could have a hentai forum for the adult or seemingly adult members to post in. Not only would we be able to talk about one more face of anime, we'd be able to share things that bring us happiness. Bible Black, Fruits Basket, and so on and so forth. Furthermore, bigger signature banners would be awesome. Not just in a Freudian sense, or a Jungian one, but it'd be super if there was more of us to love. Bigger is always better!
Well I completely disagree. I can't stand Yaoi/Yuri, or Hentai, so I would hate to see these sections up on OB. I always see OB as a family friendly place, as Shy said. As for larger signatures and avatars, I agree with Shy on this aswell. Bigger isn't better in this case.
15. I really loved this movie. I didn't like the second one, so I wasn't sure going into this one but I came out happy. The first and the third movies are my favorite. I think there was a perfect amount of comic relief in the movie. Thats one of the things I enjoy so much about it. Its alot of action, plus Jack's humor. Its great. I agree with Jeremiah about Jack and Barbossa in a fourth film. I guess Will, Elisabeth, and
thier son
could be in it, but I don't know what exactly Will could do now that he's the
captain of the Flying Dutchmen
. :/
16. I've been working in a warehouse for a little over a year and a half now. Its okay, but I'm slowly getting very tired of it. Alot of funny stuff happens though. Everyone there knows I take Taekwondo, and they tease and taunt me about it because they know I can kick them in the head. Lol. Max, this one guy is constantly making "Bruce Lee" sounds while trying to kick above his waist. There was also a time when he put on this Elvis mask. I laughed so hard. Max is a black man, with a white Elvis mask. I guess you had to be there. You know the 'baggy pants style'? Well John, someone I work with had that going on and his pants feel down while just standing there. My manager was literally on the floor laughing so hard. We also tend to throw wads paper at each other, alot. I have a few nick names too.
17. I have a friend who has been there, and another friend who lived there her whole life untill last year. I'll be going there for two weeks coming up very soon. Japan is a very expensive country. From what I have been told by my friend who lived there; they're very friendly with American's. If you need help getting somewhere they'd be happy to help. You don't tip after a meal in Japan, thats a no-no. Transtic Nerve was also fluent in Japanese aswell, I believe.
18.
But now that I'm not driving truck anymore I drive this: [IMG]Anyway, it's a fantastic car that's extremely reliable. I've never had issues with it and it gets good gas mileage which is a definite plus in my opinion. I'll probably have it five to ten years later since even though it has over 114,000 miles on it, they've been well rated for being dependable. :catgirl:
This reminds me of my dad's truck. He has a huge 1986 Ford. He bought it before we moved here, so we drove it; towing his race car from Arizona to here. That thing is getting so rusted out, and has problems once in awhile. The miles are somewhere in the 300,000 range. Its been around for a long time and still going.
19. Oh ho ho, I love em'. I like the style of the first comic, it reminds me of those old Mickey cartoons. Very classy. I don't really care for the coloring of the people in 'Ruff Scallions', but thats minor. Other than that I really enjoyed it. Especially the pixel usage, hah. I too liked the "scurvey" part, lol.
20. I drive a white 1999 Pontiac Grand Am. I love meh car. I bought it in late July last year, $5,000. It had about 75,800 miles on it at the time. Since I've got it the only major problem I've had so far(knock on wood), was with the alternator. But thats fixed. Aside from that the clock occationally doesn't work, and the blinkers won't work randomlly sometimes. But I've heard its an electircal problem that occurs with these cars.
21.
Um, I think we should take out the link to that message board from Topaz's entry, seeing as how the only active forum is full of porn. >.>
Whoa, I'm sorry I even linked that. I had no idea. I haven't actually been to the forum in ages. O_O
22. Awesome, finally so artness. Brings back some good times. Bliss I like this one alot. The stock is great quakity, and the background is simple and but potent. I actually like the hair blending into the background, its soemthing I would do. I do see what Boo means with the text, and I agree. Its seems kind of awkwardly placed. Also, add a border. Unless you have a light colored one alreay there, I can't tell. Serenity I love the colors and style. The weird little designs in the background match well with the cool little designs on his hat. The text is perfect in my opinion. However, his face does stand out a little too much, and it takes the focus off the rest of the banner. Bloodlust I actually think the text is the best part. The subline looks awesome like that. The stock blends well with it untill it gets to the left, then it kind of fades weirdly.. Beautiful sin Eh, I'd have to agree with Boo on this. I really don't like anything about this, to be honest. I don't like Inuyasha either, so yeah. Heartache I love the colors on the right, how it goes from dark to light with a greenish blue look to a kind of orangey-brown look, but I don't like the darkness of her face. It just seems a little too dark. The border, thats a no no for me. Random Bursts Not fond of this. Its not just the contrast between the sprite and the background..its the background itself. To me it looks..kind of cheap. It looks like you used the cloud effect, then did the smudging. The border doesn't really mesh well with the sprite. For sprites, generally a 1 pixel border looks best. Sweet Sacrifice Hm, the only thing I really like in this one is the text. Too me it looks like an image, with multiple colors. :/ Seduction Great movie, though this was one of my least favorite parts, heh. Anyway, I love it. I think this really portrays the graphics splendor of the movie. The text looks great in that position, and color. Overall, my favorites were 1, 2, 3, and 8. Great job jigglyness, I hope to see more of your work.
23.
My name is Jordan. You'd think that would be easy to remember..but I guess not. Because soooooo many people when they first meet me call me Justin or Jacob...OMG ITS SO ANNOYING! heh >_>. It really is though...it makes you feel like no one remembers you. And some people try to spell it Jorden or Jordon >_>. It's JORDAN! lol. My last name is really uniqe. Fruin. Easy to pronounce - Fru in. Just like its spelt. But apparently no one can pronounce it lol. I have heard Froin frun and all sorts of stuff >_>. My middle name..well no one knows my middle name ^_^ lol.
Heh, thats my brother's name. I'm not sure whether anyone mispronounces his name, for it is pretty simple. However, he has the same problem with the spelling. Just the other day he got an e-mail from our uncle and he spelled it "Jordon. Its Jordan!
24. This is good stuff, and I like the style. I don't watch the show so I can't critque it in that way. However, in a neutral artistic perspective I'd say you've got the proportions down pretty well. Especially the hands. I notice the hands alot in people's work, since their said to be one of the hardest parts to draw on a human form. What really caught my eye was the coloring. These shades go really well together. Did you use Prismacolor markers? I've used these and have found it harder than other mediums, however I suppose it just takes practice like anything else...and money to buy all those stupid individual markers. Wonderful job.
25. This used to be my most visited forum. However I don't post my art here much anymore because I'll get maybe two replies and the thread dies anyway. Psh. - Nothing as caught my fancy lately, thats all. - I love the draw my character idea, and I want to do that. I just have limited time so drawing the charcter and what not takes more time than usual. - Not really, I think its just in one of those phases, it'll bounce back. I do miss how it used to be, but I really can't think of anything to put the spark back.
