I like Anime for the same reasons. I love the art and stories. I loved cartoons when I was younger, but once I started to get into Anime I hardly ever watch American cartoons, aside from The Simpsons and a few others. I hate most American cartoons, and comics, including Disney. Disney just annoys me for some reason. ¬_¬ Actually I bought two posters of Ghost In A Shell for my room in my mom's apartment, and I've never seen it, but I like the artwork. It adds to my loads of refrences I use for my own artwork. ^_^

I agree with Sara. It is a nicely done drawing, but with those minor flaws mentioned. The eyes also bother me though, but I can't put my finger on it. I think it would look very nice inked, then possibly colored if your up to it.

Practice ALOT, and I do mean alot. Its always really frustraiting when you can't get what you want out of your head onto paper. Use as much reference as possible, and draw everything. I also recommend tracing, it really does help. If you trace the same thing over and over again you'll get used to the style and proportions. I did this many times in the past. Just don't claim traced work as your own. ;)

Well put Hitto, I agree with both you and Haze. What he said is true Tenshi. You say you use PSP8? Well then practice alot. I used PSP7 for along time before I got PS. Practice makes perfect. ~_^ Some tips, don't used the bevel border so much, I used to do the same thing. It doesn't add anything positive to the image, use a simple 1or 2 pixel border. This makes it much neater. Also, don't use the shine effect as much either. Try to be original, it makes it seem cluttered. Now for the text, as Hittokiri said, try to have a color scheme that works with the image, and this does include the text. Try using a stroke around the type aswell, preferably black, but anything that will stand out a bit but not too much. Remember, placement of images and type matters. Be unique with your images, place them going off the banner(cropping), or off to the side, but never directly in the center, that would become distracting. When placing type experiment, but I find it works best of to the side of the image, ormaybe slighty on the image, but never slap it on and say your done. ~_o One last thing, image quality. When making banners go for the best quality images you can find. Screen caps arn't always the best choice. If you need any help/tips you can contact me on aim/msn messenger if you like, or PM.

My last day will be June 9th. This is probebly going to be my last summer where I can have fun without worrying too much about financial crap because I'll be graduating next year, and its only going to get harder after high school. I'm looking forward to summer. My mom is getting an apartment, in early June, which she already has picked out and such. I'll go back and forth from her apartment to my dad's house. I'll probebly spend more time there though, I'm not sure yet. The problem with that is that I won't have a computer there so I'm going to save up for a laptop. I'll be getting my license finally too. Heh, a little late I might add. This way I'll finally be able to get a job without having to rely on my parents for transportation. I'll probebly end up stuck with the job of taking my brother to whatever job he ends up getting too. Damn it! My grandparents might come here this summer, but I'm skeptical about that since my grandma said the same thing last year and never ended up coming. I also have two family reunions to attend, which I'm hoping arn't both on the 4th of July. There are a few movies that are coming out that I'm looking forward to seeing with friends too. And last but not least, alot of drawing... Of course. ^_^ I hope everything works out and I don't get depressed like last summer.

Heh, you and your simplistic siggehs. ^_^ I really like how the text comes from behind aswell, and the matching colors. It doesn't need a background, it wouldn't have the same affect.

Thanks for the reply Hitto. The kid has one hand on his brother's shoulder, but other than that I think I made him flying. I noticed that little problem [i]after[/i] I had finished it, I have no idea what I was thinking. As for the tounge, I agree with you on that one too. At first glance I didn't realize how strange that really looks but now that I stare at it, it really does look odd. I also think I screwed up the shading below his mouth. Bah, damn it all! >.< One thing I would like to point out is that the white clothing does have shading, you just can't see it anymore due to my scanner.

I have'nt posted any drawings in ages. Something was wrong with my scanner, so my brother re-installed the software and it works fine now. So here is one of my newest drawings. I have to say it looks much better in real life rather than online, and I also had to resize it in order to post it. The scanner cut off a portion of the bottom for some reason aswell. Anyhoo, please rate etc.

[COLOR=RoyalBlue]Spike banner:[/COLOR]I like the background, without the grid. If Spike were lightened up a bit that would look so much better. Also, I don't care for the size of the text, its way too large. It draws too much attention. [COLOR=RoyalBlue]Itachi Uchiha banner:[/COLOR] This is very nice. The background brings out his eyes and reminds me of his Sharingan eyes. The image up front is very crisp, and the faded image brings a nice touch. I have to say, nice job on this one. I think it would look much better stilled and down sized a few notches. The image you used I like alot better than the previous however. [COLOR=RoyalBlue]The Sesshomaru one is the best out of the first three. I like the idea of the winds converging, but the font ruins the affect completely. The Sasuke, Goku, and Hakkai are by far the best work I've seen from you. ^_^ The only problem I have is the font you choose to use in the Sasuke banner. Maybe try something more gentile, not pixel-y.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=DarkRed][SIZE=1]I have two cats. The eldest is Samantha. We call her Mantha instead of Samantha more often, mainly by habit. We always have these strange names. Shes black and white, and very skinny. Shes quite old too. Shes our Phoenix cat, we got her when I was in 4th grade, so its been almost 8 years or so now. She used to be very athletic, and liked to leave various 'presents' for us at the back door. Its amazing how smart she is. When she was younger she would sleep at the end of my parents bed, and when my dad's alarm clock went off she would start biting his toes, the same time everyday. She never used a litterbox either, she loved going outside. Now, however, shes gotten alot diffrent in her old age. Her whole physical appearce is diffrent now. You can definetely tell she is older. Her body is small and slender, and shes not as quick as she used to be. Although her jaws could still kill you. o_o Benjamin, which we simply call Benny is the youngest of the two. We got him about 3 years ago in Akron, near my grandma's. His name was originally Pharaoh. Hes orange and white. He was one of the friendliest, frisky cats there. He was about one when we got him, maybe not even that. Him and Samantha don't really get along. He likes to pick on her every chance I get, and shes always hissing and growling at him. Benny is a bit of a bully, yet hes a big baby. He kills little rabbits and mice, and tries to act tough, but in reality he gets scared if you shuffle your feet against the floor. When he comes in from outside I'm the first one he looks for. ^_^ He has the loudest meow too, which can be incredibly aggravating. I've had cats my whole life. We've only owned a few dogs, but far more cats. In all I'd say we've had atleast 30 cats or more in my life. I'd get into that, but I'd better not. The top of my right hand has about 12 scars created from cats. -_-; I think I may have gone into way to much detail.[/SIZE][/COLOR]

[COLOR=RoyalBlue][SIZE=1]Older OB members probebly remember the way I came up with my username, I've said it several times in the past. Anyway, I came up with it back in December 2000. The name pertains to a Dragonball series created called Dragonball X(this has nothing to do with hentai). This series is set about 20 years into Mirai Trunks timeline, meaning after future Trunks killed the Androids and cell. In this story he's married and has two children, the eldest is a girl named Trohan, the younger one is a boy, Tronic. Seeing as King Vegeta was dead, then the prince Vegeta we now know was also dead, that would technically mean Trunks would become king, meaning Trohan would be princess. That is how I came up with it. Saiyan, referring to her race and princess, her rank. The X means Xtreme, which as I've mentioned before is part of the title. I never finished the story, but I always kept the name. I started using it in January 2001 and have been ever since. Although I'm not an avid Dragonball fanatic anymore.[/SIZE][/COLOR]

Ah, the HZ style. Nicely done, once again Hitto. I like how you decided to use the images real colors opposed to one solid color like usual. Its a nice change. The only thing that bothers me is the line coming from the left inward. It looks like that was never fully blended or something. o.O

This may get closed if it lacks any real conversation. :/ My longest relationship also lasted a year, but it was back in 5th and 6th grade. Of course it wasn't love, simply young infatuation. It was hard on me when it ended because of the way it had. Since then I have been in various relationships but nothing lasted remarkably long. For the past three or four years or so I havn't really gone out with many people atall because I've been focusing on school and such. I'm almost 18 now.

[COLOR=Gray]I never got into Harry Potter. I read the first book last year for a book report and was hooked for the first few chapters or so, but soon grew tired of it. I do still think its a nicely told story though. I've only seen the first movie, and only because it was on tv the other night and for some reason it seemed to spark my interest. I plan on renting the first and second one this weekend, and I'll probebly see the movie. Although I have no intensions on becoming a fanatic on yet another movie. ^_^;[/COLOR]

I saw it yesterday. It was terrible. The whole thing seemed over done and dragged. I really had high hopes for it too. The one thing I did notice was the ammount of influence The Mummy movies made on Stephan Sommers. Two of the cast members were in the aswell. Kevin J. O' Conner(Beni in TM/[spoiler]Igor[/spoiler] in VH) & Alun Armstrong(the curator in TMR/[spoiler]Cardinal[/spoiler] in VH). I noticed this right away and found it to be true when I got home. Alot of time and energy went into the visual imagery but I really think the acting and whole concept could have been done much better.

It looks like an abstract rose to me. I think its quite good. Its a simple and affective design for a logo, nothing to flashy or bold yet it does grab your attention. This will look awesome accompanied by some nice Kenjeh graphics and some text.

Ah, more art by Sykers. ^^ This style reminds me of Cowboy Bebop, awesome! Its a very crisp, sharp image. The red & white go well together, and [I]do[/I] give it a Japanese feel. I don't think orange and red would have gone together as well, they're both bright, vibrant colors so it wouldn't have the same eye popping affect. Nice job Syk.

[COLOR=RoyalBlue]This is very interesting. I too never would have guessed that Moby Dick had any part within the trilogy. It is amazing how much influence is displayed with film directors/writers with such litrature. I love reading these types of essays on the trilogy and there hidden meanings. I also think this is one essay I'd recommend to Matrix lovers such as myself.[/COLOR]

I've thought TV shows have been going down hill for years. I hate most of those shows, and totally dispise reality shows. *gags* There are so many poitless television shows nowadays, which all have alot of the same concepts. At least this is what I've found. No offence to those who enjoy them however. America can now be called the central of reality shows, unfortunetely.
