I used to love coffee. My mom would make it any time of the day, so I would always be drinking it. I couldn't take it black though. Coffee and cocoa was actually quite good. I stopped drinking it a few years ago though because it never kept me awake, and it makes you teeth yellow. Actually I've steered clear of any caffine altogether. I used love pop aswell. I like cocoa and caffine free cappuchino. ^^

Its good for your first but try to mess around with the tools more to add to the image. All of them are the same, they just get repetititive. Also, don't use the pre made effects so much; I see it done often by begginers. Practice and you'll get much better. ^_^

I'm curious to where your love for art, or talent in it came from. This thread I think may be somewhat similar to the Practice/Talent thread; but more in depth I suppose, maybe. o.O I've always been into art, I got it from my mothers side. My grandma took several classes and from looking at a few of her drawings she was quite good. My mother loved to draw when she was younger. She wanted to be an artist but people would always discourage her. She pretty much stopped once my brother and I were born. I became serious about art when I began watching anime. The art style really inspired me to practice alot to become better. I knew several people who were amzing which made me push myself. Topaz, a previous member here was a big part of that. I printed almost all of her work as a refrence for myself. As far as graphics go I think I got into that aspect by seeing the artist around here back in the day. I'm not much for painting or sculpting, drawing and computer graphics are my artistic passions. ^_^

Both. It helps when you have talent but as Kai said, practice makes perfect. You could have the talent and never use it, therefore you would never excel in it.

I like the simplicity of it. I don't really like how the boxes are somewhat faded , or light I guess you could say. The image in that second box looks strange, like you resized it. I like the idea of "Megaman" being white while the "X" is red, and the font you used for that looks great. The font below it I don't care for though. The aura looks good but I think it needs more "oomf", or however you say that. o_O Maybe try starting it dark then lightening it to blend with the rest of the background.

Thanks for your reply Kai. Here is another PS piece. I don't make many DB graphics anymore so I thought I'd mess around and create something. Here is my result. I can't edit it so this is the final, mainly just practice anyway, nothing special. Opinions would be nice. ^^ -
I'm pretty organized. When I was younger I never was untill I got to high school. My binder is neatly organized in order from date and I usually always have what I need with me at school. My room is is organized, but in my own way. When people go in there they may think its messy because I have all my drawings and eveything I draw/color with right in the middle of the floor, but thats where I draw so I keep everything right there. I used to have all my cds lined up under my bed, I know its strange but I liked them that way. They were in order too, from bands, to Matrix, then Last Samurai. Lol. I now have two cases for all of them but they are still on the floor right next to my drawing utensils and such for easy accsess. ^_^

1.) Keanu Reeves- I think he is a great actor. He actually reminds me of myself in some ways. He seems so quite and reserved when he is interviewed, and he has a calmness to him. 2.) Carrie-Anne Moss- Come on, you knew this was coming. ;) Most well known for her role as Trinity in The Matrix movies, I think she is an all around awesome actress. She has done well in many diffrent genres of film. 3.) Jet Li- I've only seen a few of his movies but I adore his performances both in acting and in martial arts! 4.) Ken Watanabe- I've only seen one of his films; The Last Samurai, but I think he was brilliant. He was a strong character in that movie. His sword fighting was very much enjoyed. 5.) Jim Carrey- Hes disliked by many people for his child like humor but I love most of his films. There are a few I would agree were distasteful but overall I think he's very funny, and great at being an idiot sometimes. :freak:

My brother and his friend would always make up new concoctions. Peanutbutter and pickles, or almost any meat with ranch dressing is actually quite good. Although those really arn't all that wierd.

The only thing I really have a problem with is the font size and the thickness of the border. I think the flames from the gun actually look somewhat realistic. The image is very crisp and clean. -
1.) The Matrix Reloaded & Revolutions: I loved both movies, as everyone already knows. I find the story incredible, and the work that was put into this is amazing.
The end of this trilogy was very touching, and sad but I believe it fitted.
2.) The Last Samurai: The way they depicted the Samurai's life, and showing the small everyday tasks performed great. I loved watching
the way Algren had started out; as a soilder with a crude past, then ended up finding the peace he so longed for.
I think they could have slowed it down a bit on some of the fighting sequences but overall this is a great movie. 3.) Bruce Almighty: I've always loved Jim Carrey. His wild antics crack me up every time.
The whole idea of Bruce being god for a day
was interesting, and all around great. Actually I used mix e, a, and u in beautiful alot untill I saw this, lol. 4.) Shanghai Knights: This was great! I found it very hilarious, and entertaining. A mixture of Chinese culture in the upper class society of England. Jackie Chan in England? You have to love it. 5.) Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines: The visual effects were nice, and the ending was something diffrent. I still prefer the second one over this however.

If you could be anyone you wanted to be...

I've had my moments, like most. I guess mostly I think less of my talents and wish I were someone more experianced in Martial Arts, or an even a better artist, but I can become better with practice so the way I am is the way I want to stay. -
Personally, I don't really like either. Tattoos I dispise. Its as if your branding yourself. I can tolerate small ones I suppose, sometimes. I also find it stupid for someone to get one before graduating from high school. Your still young and you change as you get older; interests, style, etc. Piercings I can tolerate a bit more, but it depends. A few in the ears are alright, but I don't care for them anywhere else. I only have one piercing in each ear, but I never wear earings anyway, I hate them.

It has been freezing over here, but luckily it didn't really affect any holiday cheer. Although it was the same as usual, aside from the fact that my mom no longer spent Christmas with the rest of us all at once. It was alright. New Years' was probebly the best. I'm really looking forward to Spring/Summer. ^_^
-
I'm really fond of blue and green. Many of you older artists probebly remember that blue spree I was on last year where all my banners I made ended up being blue. :p Anyhow, my room actually used to be both, I recently had it changed to a light grey but those two colors are still my favorite.
Originally posted by Dan Rugh You say that I underplay my talent? You told me that this was gonna look like crap and it doesn't at all. The only things wrong with it are the ear on the right side and that pinky... it looks like it doesn't have any bones in it lol. Mind if I color this?
I agree. Although I think the whole hand needs a bit of work, along with the ears, overall its very nicely drawn however. I also like the style of shading, its light, but not too light. [SasukeUchiha's Art Thread] I think you've done a very nice job here. Its clean a crisp, no sketchyness whatsoever. One thing I'd like to add though; it needs a background. That aqua color doesn't cut it. Maybe try adding people or a scenere of some sort. Post edited to accomodate for the merging of threads. -Syk3

Kakashi's arm is abnormally long and his right leg isout of proportion aswell. The background needs some work; it doesn't look much like a bridge. I'd rate this one 5/10. I like the Naruto one the best, though both look unfinished or rushed. The logo on the headband needs some work though. 7/10

I haven't done much cging but I think it needs some work. The lines are choppy and the coloring looks rushed. Some more defined highlights would help also.
-
I agree with Dagger IX1. Try to use images that acompany each other well with color and placement. The text, as mentioned by others, really needs work. If you are using MS Paint simply use a readable color, if you are using PSP or PS then adding a stroke/border the the text would do it wonders.

Its been awhile since I've posted anything so I thought I would. I just recenly got PS7, finally. The wallpapers were done in PSP7 however. I really like what you've done so far on that third piece. It looks like an explosion of sunlight, very appealing to me. ^_^ As for adding text and such, maybe try a Hitto style for the text; like his signature. Also another image of the man behind the current one fadded into the background a bit would look nice. I think a light colored border would also suit it well. Good luck with that Kenjs. Did you make the wave yourself or enhance it? Either way I like it. Its a very peacefull, relaxing piece. I have to agree with Hittokiri on the text though, I'm not much sor border/text combining. Heh, at my first look I really didn't care for the grungey image, but now I think its quite unique. I see a grungy sillouetteish figure sitting behind your text. I don't know wheather that was intensional or not but it looks good. The text fits the rest of the image with its light, dodgy color. The font was also a good choice. Mimmi, that fairy thing is actually a butterfly I believe, Marc's logo type thing. ^_^ -
I love the simplicity of this. Although I do have a few pointers. First of all, I think the red Cloud doesn't look right backed up with mostly green. Maybe add a small tint of green to it and fade the white into the background more. The font is another thing. Text should not be placed directly in the middle of an image, it distracts from everything around it. I also suggest it to be resized and a small black border around it aswell. Overall its a good banner, maybe try to fix it up a bit.

The grey one is definetely my favorite. I like the contrast between the blue eyes and simple grey. Although I think you over did it with the white lines.

Heh, I really do see some potential with this. You and Kenji should finish it once you have time. I'd love to see the finished product. The character design is quite nice. I can see a resemblence to Penny Arcade. I love the beanie. ^^ The left arm on the first person looks really wierd though. o.O
