One thing that IS made clear, is that Ocarina of Time, is where it all began, before descendants took the flame of the Master Sword. Wind Waker just takes place 100 years after Ocarina of Time, but it's actually a relevant confirmation that it's a sequel to Ocarina of Time, since the information between the two games links directly back and forth, connecting it in every way. (I've played and beat Wind Waker, it connects...completely.) -
