Are you sure? I know Christopher Eccleston definitely isn't (as does anyone that saw the series finale yesterday) but I heard that Billie Piper had given a definite yes to series two.
Billie Piper agree to do a couple of episodes for season two but the show has opened up doors for bigger things in Hollywood. It had been announced ages ago so how could you not know?
-
My sister owns the movie and I suggest that you watch the series first, I once watched it without watching the series and I was just confused. I guess that I wasn't too familiar with the franchise ti begin with.
-
I've been watching it also although I have missed an episode or two. The new series actually has a decent sense of humour and has the great sense of English humour. I know a couple of things concerning up coming series's of it. Billie Piper and Christopher Eccleston are both not taking part in the second series which is a bit of a pity.

My Grandpa is fairly famous, He is a very famous Antartic explorer and has both a glacier and a mountatin in the Prince Charles mountatins.
I cannot know the understanding or the freedom part, but if the scenes from the Lord of the Rings are at least true by half, it must be a beautiful place...
Ha, That proves your ignorance. That's New Zealand, a second rate version of Australia which wants to be as good as us but it can't. And also Baron, Nyeeash... Your side of Asutralia sucks, try having some real Aussie culture you Western Australian simpleton. Try Melbourne for a while if the cold doesn't kill you. PS: I have to have a go at Baron every single time he talks about where he lives. Its not my fault that Melbourne is better.

(Yes, I am well aware that I posted a topic in the Arena Underground forum but i can't be bothered waiting for replies) The Story-45 years have passed since the death of King Alric who died just months after sealing the tomb which he hurled the remains of the evil Soul Blighter. There have been few incidents of war besides border disputes between the Trow and their newfound rivals the Kentei. The humans are ruled by the wise Lady Sarai who was one of the members of the Legion of Light which slew Soul Blighter. Then one day, A young man is found with two massive slashes across his chest and with massive gaping hole where his heart once more. A few days later an entire villiage with destroyed, just razed to the ground. There were only two survivors, One claimed that a Black Dragon destroyed the villiage while the more mature of the two stated that it seemed to be more demonic than what a dragon could be. Over the following score or so of days passed and two more cities fell to these strange occurences. More evidence pointed towards enemies of old with barbed spears that the Souless warriors which Soul Blighter created as well as pieces of Wight and Thrall. So once more, The Legion of Light is called upon again to take up their weapons and drive their old foe once more from the land, Hopefully for good. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Character Generation- Classes are entirely up to the joiner but there are a few issues that must be discussed first. 1) No nigh invincble character 2) Ask if you want to give your character magical weapons 3) No guns or such.... This is a medieval based RPG so not guns or other futuristic weapons. The races are as follows Human- These are your basic beings, No great powers and no glaring weaknesses but are not bound by prejudice and therefore can move about anywhere in the lands without causing Racial hate. Dwarf- These short, stout warriors are the bane of many a warrior from the mountains. They ideally stand about 3'5 to 4' but there are rare circumstances that there are taller or shorter then average dwarves. They take great pride in their drinking and their beards. Elf- These tall slender being were forced to watch their forest homes burn during the Great War and were finally starting to get their lands together until Soul Blighter returned from hiding. They possess great affinity with the bow and long swords. Half Breed- These are mere cross breeds between any race, They are usually shunned from society because of their appeacerance or because of racial tension. Gnome- These are the close relatives of the Dwarves although it is shown mostly in stature. They created the great seige engines of the world and are well known as Alchemists and thieves. They love to tinker and are adept at getting what they want. Trow- Were once werewolves but the magic that was unleashed when Soul Blighter was cast into the great devoid changed them to be half dog-half human. Some of their number were changed into the new raced called Kentei at the time of Soul Blighters demise which the Trow have taken upon themselves to war with. Kentei- These were created when Soul Blighter was destroyed when the Trow was changed by the magic. Less than half of the Trow were changed into the dog-human form while the other were transformed into the Cat-human form. The Kentei possess the grace of cats but lack the power which the Trow possess. Drantei- The Drantei are an odd race, They emerged from their swamps and marshes whenever a war begun and when that war was over would dissapear one more. Many thought that they were magical in nature but a Drantei colony was discovered to the north of the capital city of Tyr in the Storm marshes. They are half Lizard and Half human and possess excellent fighting skills and short tempers. Name- Age- Gender- Race- Weapon of choice- Appearence- ( Picture or description) Bio- (Optional, Nice if you have one but it isn't needed.)

Gaming Series jokes (from Tingle to Biggs and Wedge)
PWNED replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in Noosphere
The Stars of Destiny in the Suikoden series are a major feature in it, To remove the stars of destiny would mess up the entire series. Same as if you removed the army battles or the duels (Suikoden 4 took the honour of taking away the Duels) It just wouldn't be the same. -
It could and It couldn't make the cut, Splitting the one paragraph into two is a must because, Your back story is a bit of a headache inducer. The story is also, in my opinion, A little vague because you gave barely any background to it. Thats my two cents so see ya.
I'd Have to say the best Final Boss was.............. Sephiroth off Final Fantasy 7, by that time you truly hate him, but love him at the same time. So killing him, is kinda difficult. THE BEST BOSS EVER, IS KUJA OFF FF9!
Sepiroth was a terrible boss, He could be taken down by using a certain summon once or twice. Incredibly dissapointing end boss, I have seen more impressive bosses in the Dungeons and Dragons games. Actually; to tell you the truth, Eye of the Beholder on PC had an awesome end boss in the form of the Beholder, He required a lot of strategy to get by.

Yo, The Monster here. I have decided to create a sequel of an RPG that I and my mate created. The RPG is a sequel to Myth: Soul Blighters return although not and it is a direct sequel and is to be titled Myth: Souls Swirds I'm making character classes entirely up to the member that joins and they can choose any class that comes to mind. I am adding 2 new races which raises the count to 8, with the six original races(Trow, Human, Half-Breed, Elf, Dwarf, Gnome) and two new races (Drantei- A Half Lizard half human creature, Kentei- A half human half cat creature). The Story-45 years have passed since the death of King Alric who died just months after sealing the tomb which he hurled the remains of the evil Soul Blighter. Other the following score or so of days passed and two more cities fell to these strange occurences. More evidence pointed towards enemies of old with barbed spears that the Souless warriors which Soul Blighter created as well as peices of Wight and Thrall. So once more, The Legion of Light is called upon again to take up theirweapons and drive their old foe once more from the land, Hopefully for good. Thats the story, I'll take suggestions towards the story but I will also take suggestions towards anything involving the RPG.

Gaming Series jokes (from Tingle to Biggs and Wedge)
PWNED replied to 2010DigitalBoy's topic in Noosphere
Another Tomb Raider thing is the ever increasing breast size (Until the new one, Stupid *** Femenists and people appealing to female gamers). -
Story- How many people have decided to pass into College quietly? Not many and this isn't what this small group of friends are trying to do, Go as loudly and rudely into the next part of their lives which is why they decided to go on a road trip across the nation. They start at their town on Rhode Island and travel all the way south to Miami, Florida. A group of friends on a trip to the other side of the country, causing mayhem and being hoons? Sounds nice for them and sounds good to me. Character Creation- Obviously since this is a real life RPG there won?t be stuff such as magic and weapons like swords and staves. Your characters will be aged 17-20 so no one older or younger. Name- Age- 17-20 Nationality- Appearance- Biography- Personality-

And Now for something Completly Different does not really count as a movie because, after all, It is made out of the best bits of the Flying Circus. It's funny but unfortunatly, not a movie.
I would have to say the fight with Lavos at the end of Chrono Trigger is one of the most memorable for me and easily one of my favorites. I remembered beating lavos in the form of every other past boss from the game and then lavos' true form thinking i had won.
only to see the shell open up and shout "oh crap! theres more?!"
Added spoiler tags. - Desbreko
Damn, I definetly need to get further into Chrono Trigger now, You and Debresko better not be giving it too much credit. I am inclined to agree with Delta, Ultimecia was dissapointing to say the least. They should have used a villian that had a major role in the story. It cannot even be close to as good as the Final Fight against Kefka of FF 3/6. This was my third favourite boss fight because Kefka is my favourite FF villian.

This topic is obviously going to get very spoiler heavy. Anyway, I actually have two favourite end bosses, the Golden Hydra from Suikoden and the Beast Rune from Suikoden 2. Both are multiple parted enemies with the Golden Hydra having three parts and the Beast rune having five. The Golden Hydra was tough-er than than most bosses but if you trtained than he wasn't too tough. They had good health and each head had immunity to a different element. the Left head had immunity to Earth and could heal, the center head was immune to Lightning and was dealt more damage out of the two attacking heads and the right head was immune to Fire and dealt damage to everyone at a fairly high amount. The Beast Rune was the more difficult of the two because of six reasons Reason 1) It could attack 3 times a turn every turn unless it had less than three parts. Reason 2) One combined attack from the Rune and the two heads was more than powerful enough to nearly take down your whole party. Reason 3) Every bit was magic resistant Reason 4) One leg could ressurect fallen parts. Reason 5) The other leg inflicts status changes on everyone (If you have played the Suikoden games than you know have destructive these can be) Reason 6) The heads were immune to Combo magic and Unites.

I agree with Shin on the Monty Python movies, They may be from the 70s but they possess more humour than the entire new season of The Simpsons. Holy Grail is recommended for people that are easily offended while Life of Brian is for people that have a tolerance of steel or Atheists. My other recomendation is Dogma or Mallrats or Chasing Amy because after all, You seem to like View-Askew.
One of my favorite games would have to be Drakengard, also for PS2. Some people find it repetative, but I don't really care. There are three different gameplay modes in the game, and even though the three don't really change any durring the game, it's enough variety to keep me interested. But sinse you don't care about that, let's get to what you do care about. The game looks really good, especially during cutscenes. Oh, and don't skip the cutscenes or 'events' (these advance the story, but use the same character and area modles as when you're actually playing). This game has the best storyline I've ever seen in a game. Doesn't look too special at first, but later on it becomes excellent (just wait until you enconter child priestess Manah, or the giant killer babies. Yes, giant killer babies).
In my opinion, Drakenguard was the poor mans Dynasty Warriors, It seemed like a copy in my opinion except for the Dragon bits. It may appeal to others but I am an old veteran of the DW games which might be why it didn't realy appeal to me.
My first recommendation would be Ico for PlayStation 2. The story isn't especially deep, but it's charming and adds to the experience. And the visuals are pretty incredible, in terms of the atmosphere and sheer scope of various environments.
First time gamers will be incredibly frustrated by ICO (Like I was) because of poor AI shown by the Princess. I remember an Old Penny Arcade strip which poked fun at how stupid the girl was. I cannot find the link to strip right now but when I can I'll edit this post. Edit: I've gotten the URL, It's http://img.penny-arcade.com/2001/20010928l.gif and can be viewed by clicking herehere

Lynx stared moodily into space as he thought of what had happened in the past, People had lost their lives or dreams and he couldn't do anything about it. Tears welled up in Lynxs eyes but he attempted to blink them away although it was to no avail. Aieldail walked over and plopped down in front of him and asked what was wrong. At first Lynx was silent and didn't pay attention to her but after a while he decided to tell her what was wrong. "It's all my fault that this happened, All those people died because of me." "Why is that?"Aieldail asked not knowing what he meant. "It's because of me that all these people died. I lead the resistance and it's because of us that this town was destroyed" Lynx stopped for a second and choked down a sob then continued "It's like this every town we try to hide in. The towns either end up razed or they are put under tight survelliance and It's all our fault." "but you can't blame yourself" Aieldail said in an attempt to calm him down" Things like this happen all the time during war times." At first Lynx was silent but his next words hit her like he had slapped her in the face "But what if you were there and couldn't do anything? I was there, I could have thought but no, I chose to run and live another day" Lynx left it at that and It seemed like that was that. It was then that the others decided to involve themselves in the heated discussion. Latharix was the first one to give her opinion on this and stated "But if not for you then who will fight them?" Lynx responded to this by stating that it wasn't just him fighting them. Harlan spoke next by saying "Hundreds more will die" but this didn't seem to shake Lynx the slightest that spoke back that either way they will die. Shenlong was the last to speak and said "Everyone dies but they will not be able to acheive something worthwhile." This stopped Lynx in his tracks and brought an angry look on his face, His eyes said it all though..... They said 'The Algathans are the ones to blame for this. They started this god for saken war and now I will finish this'. "I have made up my mind," He said to the other four, "We leave at dawn."

I just heard the outcome of the trial a while ago and Schapelle was found guilty, she didn't get death or a life sentence but she got 20 years and had to pay a fine of 50 million Bali dollars.
Yes, the comment on hurting the game division was based on manufacturing cost. Here are a few consumer groups that wont buy xbox: 1 Hardcore Sony (those that refuse anything else) 2 Hardcore Nintendo (those that refuse anything else) 3 Casual gamers(whom 360 is targeting) that were at all put off by xbox 4 People in general that were put off by xbox that don't necessarily follow industry news. 5 Parents(a very significant group). Most I've seen bought xbox last if at all simply because Nintendo and Playstation are household names. 6 Graphic nuts(the early adopters of xbox)
You forgot Number 7. People that cannot afford it because of outragous price tags. I mean, The original X-Box was originally sold for about $650 at first in Australia that originally put me (Still has) and many people off it. I hated it because of its size and design and It looks like Microsoft has still not tried to fix up these problems.

Dammit, I was planning on starting a thread like this a while ago. Anyway, I would say that it is Australia that used to produce the most talented musicians around. AUSTRALIA 1) AC DC (Verr Fun music, Jah) 2) Kylie Minogue (Australias most popular musician in the United Kingdom 3) Jet ( I hate them but you may like them)
