I myself find that The Idol Shows/ Popstars/ the X Factor are all wastes of Television time because they mosly contain Teenagers and young adults that cannot perform to save their lives yet the public love them, What is up with that? I mean for example, Anthony Callea who came second in the 2004 Aussie Idol yet he doesn't have that muc htalent and his music just isn't the type that would appeal to music listeners these days. Like his current song, no #1 on the charts and doing nearly twice as well as Numb/Encore which is at no #2 and his song isn't even that good ( I can't believe that he was in the final, His current song sucks because it is a mix between pop and opera (In one bit of it he sings like he is in an opera, In Italian). Can someone explain to me how sellouts like these do so well on the charts and in sales even though their songs range from :confused: to merely eh. What is you opinion?

This RPG is based on the events of Gensou Suikoden 1 concerning the Scarlet Moon Empire and the Toran Liberation Army. Story: IS ( In Solis) 446 there was a General called Geil Rugner who was the brother of the dead Emperor of the Scarlet Moon Empire. Once Barbarossa Rugner, Who was the crown prince and Geil Rugners nephew, left on a mission Geil started a trial to remove the Crown Prince from his rightful throne. Geil then took advantage of the lack of ruler and he took the seat of power and became Emperor. Prince Barbarossa fought back and the Succesion wars erupted. Initially Geil held the upper hand but with the help of his strategeist Leon Silverburg and the 6 Great Generals, Barbarossa was able to recapture the Throne. That is the story of the succesion wars. 9 years later, there was a young boy who was the son of one of the 6 Great Generals. It is his destiny to help the liberaton army to defeat the Liberation army. He doesn't know about his destiny however and finds out about it when he meets the great seer Leknaat on the Magicians Island. He does not believe it untill his friend is kidnapped by the empire in an attempt to remove his rune. This is his story and the story of the Beginning of the Toran republic. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Major Characters -------- Mc'Dhol- You make his First name whatever you want. When Ted was being pursued by the Imperial Guards, Pahn told the Imperial Guards where Ted was in fear that the incident would cause trouble to the McDohl's in Teo's absence. He has undying loyalty to the Mc'Dhol family. He had a brother called Wil and also lived with Daisy, a war orphan who Viktor's family took in. One day Viktor was heading to South Window to buy some medicine for his grandmother. When he returned, North Window has been sacked by a vampire called Neclord and all his family has been turned into zombies by Neclord's power. Viktor fought Neclord but was no match for him. If not for the Sacrificial Buddha that Daisy gave to him, he would have died. Viktor searched for Daisy but she was already dead. Apparently she committed suicide thinking that Viktor was dead and she also wished to die rather than being Neclord's wife. Viktor was the only survivor of this attack and was rescued by those who arrived from Kuskus. He was taken to Kuskus at death's door and nursed by Barbara, who was also from North Window. Viktor healed fast and took off immediately to search for the target of his vengeance. He trained furiously and sooner or later he had turned into a formidable swordsman who wielded his sword with brute force and fine skill. During his quest, he ran into many adventures which honed his instinct for survival and his rogue-like tendencies. One thing led to another and he ended up in the Toran Liberation Army. I found that the Japanese version of Ring was far superior to the Hollywood version because I can read the subtitles fast enough to get back to the action and I am also okay at translating Japanese whichmeans taht it is scarier. Though I must say that the US version of it had a lot of plot-holes.

Number one on my, not have as a roomate on my list would have to be Haruko from FLCL. I don't know but I find Haruko as an Insane guitar-weilding maniac who would as quickly kill you as she would kiss you. Number 2 would have to be ChibiUsa from Sailor Moon, As Chibihorsewoman said she is pure evil, She is the spawn of Satan and would be the perfect choice for my lessons in flight or in her case splattering on the pavement. She also would make a good human cannonball aimed at a brick wall, And her voice shits me. Number 3 would have to be Excel from Excel Saga, She is insane and has a really annoying voice. 1) Papa Roach- Papa Roach is the number one band in my books because their music I like. My favourite songs i like by them are Getting Away With Murder because it has a very cool beat to it or Between Angels and Insects because it has a sick sound to it. 2) Breaking Benjamin- I have only heard two of their songs but I really like them. The two songs I heard and I like are Polyamourus and Firefly because both of the songs are sick. 3) Linkin Park- Their songs are cool and I like Rap-Metal. My favourite song by them is Papercut because it has a sick sound. 4) The Living End- Their songs are also cool and they wrote one of the best songs ever. My favourite song by them us Prisone rof Society because I reckon it is one of the best Aussie songs ever. 5) INXS- Their songs have a lot of meaning to them and I love their lyrics. My favourite song by them is Original Sin because it got banned in America which is impressive.

I would have to say that X-Box 2 will fail unless Microsoft adress the problems from the original X-Box like size, weight and other problems. I have to also say that the PSP because besides from a few extra features than the DS it is nothing big because it has no backward compatibility unlike the DS which allows the playing of GBA games. The X-Box relied on Halo to drive it at first and since Microsoft has denounced backward compatibility then the only games they can play are the ones for X-Box 2 not X-Box 1. That is my Rant on the consoles which will fail and PS3 may fail if they denounce Backward Compatibility. From the pits of Melbourne to bring the dirt on consoles, DN.

Nearly all of the anime that is shown over here is kiddy crap or are shown on Cartoon Network. I have to attend Anime Conventions just to get my hands on decent anime and even then They cost me a preety penny. The only Anime shows on F2A tv are the kid ones which are shown on Cheez TV (Excellent Show that) or on rare occasions on SBS. It is an insult to anime fans everywhere.

I must say that Hollywood Horrors are not as good as what they used to be however the B-grade and Japanese Horrors are spot on. B- Grade astound you by how poorly they were made but they are still cool to watch because they still may keep horror themes. A perfect old example of B-Grade horror is Evil Dead which was a horror however you look at it but it was also a comedy. A great example of Japanese horror (Like my sister stated) is The Grude- Ju-on or its american counterpart beccause they both are just creepy like the Silent Hill games. The tension builds up on you then whammy.

1) Monty Python and the Holy Grail- Why do you ask? It's simple. Monty Python and the Holy Grail is one of their funniest and is something of its own rights. And who can forget the Bloody French. 2) Monty Python- Life of Brian. Why do yo uask? This is also pure comical genius and is a hilarious spoof on Jesus' life. 3) Dogma- Why do you ask? This is easily one of my favourite movies of all time because it is hilarious and has a lot of actio nand killing.

Its a nice place, though I must say. I've also found out that my grandpa has two things named after him. A Glacier and a Mountain in the Prince Charles Mountain Range in Antartica. I have also found out that i have a distant relative that is famous although only St Kilda Supporters. He is Darrel Baldock who was the captian of the St Kilda Saints only premiership team. i don't like the team but I respect the guy because he had great leadership skills.

I would hate to have to star on Big Brother or Outback Jack (The second one is one which I don't think would have hit America yet). Shows like these are a blight on our lands and you cannot call some of them reality sometimes. One Reality TV show that I actually wouldn't mind starring on is The Colony which has not aired in Australia yet but I have seen ads for it and it looks very interesting. They are trying to simulate the first settling of Botany Bay in 17- something. It seems to have a very interesting concept behind it.

I only know two people on OB- The late jkj( He got banned) and our newest member Franky. I know jkj because he goes to my school plus I know where he lives. He got banned because he got emails from Charles and i think James concerning his two threads that he created. Well, He never replied or deleted his other open thread. I am related to one and that is my grandfather, Sydney Kirkby who is an Antartic explorer. He worked with Mawson on Mawsons last mission and he even has a Glacier or something named after him. He was in a book called the Silence Calling which was about Australian Explorers in Antartica. At the moment he is traveling to Antartica to be there for 6 weeks and he even said that when my sisters and I are older then he would take us to Antartica. So if that isn't famous then what is it? Who are you related to anyone famous like what the thread title says?

She fell backwards and rolled with the impact so that she would take less damage and be at less of a disadvatage. " Jhee was strong" He Whispered as he bought his blade to bear oncemore "He had a powerful soul". He had forgotten about the girl who had cast a powerful spell which slammed into his chest. He stumbled back under the pressure of such a blow then shook it off like a dog may shake off water. Back in the Mantean Encamoment, the temper of one soldier in particular was rising rapidly, Lord Luca Blight was angry at the sloppy defense on the encampment. "You Bloody Bastards, You let two of the pigs escape" He yelled in Fury at the Guard Captian Solon Jhee. "But my lord" Jhee managed to stutter " We were caught by suprise". Blight clicked his fingers and summoned two guards into the room, "Take this Dog out to the woods and tie him up, I shall attend to him later". Jhee grimaced at this new revelation and managed to whisper " To die on the battlefield with honour is one thing but this is the ultimate insult". As Jhee was dragged out, Luca turned to his two Henchmen and told them to find a new guard captian, then he pullled himself out of his chair and walked into the woods to where Jhee was tied up. As Blight stared at him, Jhee stared back at his old superior and spat in his face. Blight wiped the saliva from his face then punched Jhee in his face. Blight then crouched on the ground and drew a summoning circle on the ground. Jhee paled because he knew what was going to happen, He had seen those who failed be ripped to peices by the dread wolves. Luca laughed then quite plainly said, " As you can see, We Blights do not tolerate failure to accomplish goals. Now DIE PIG". At those last two words dread wolves sprung out of the summoning circle and proceded to devour Jhees body and soul. Blight laughed through the slaughter, A sick and manical laugh indeed, then proceded to unsummon the wolves. He returned to the camp with his rage vquenched and ordered his men to procede to fan out and find the pigs.

The Names of Magic That is about it for my Hard cover comic collection and my favourites of them all are the Neil Gaiman ones ( Sandman, Books of Magic) because they have excellent storys and pictures.

And also Lore, how would you feel guilty for buying part of the sand-man anthology, It is an award-winning graphic novel and has easily one of the best storylines I have read. Re-Flux, I agree with you on the Sandman thing, Gaiman has vowed to not to have a movie created of his books ( Found this out a week or two ago) so It is a lost cause. They would probarably screw up with a movie based on one of his comics or even a series based on a comic or novel by him.

Final Fantasy 8 is the biggest dissapoinment of a game that I have seen, Sure the graphics were decent (For 99) but I severly disliked the battle system because it removed most of the fun out of battles from previous games. FF8s story was poor to say the least and characters were just so hateable. If FF8 was not released then the title of best RPG of 1999 would most likely be given to Suikoden 2 which FF8 stole the limelight from because Suiko was released two weeks before FF8.

I'm not sure about everyone that likes anime likes rock music but I love rock. my Preferences go under different catergories of Rock, I like normal Rock, Metal, Rap Metal and Punk yet I can't stand pop rock or punk rock.

I am actially a child of the 80's, I know that being born in the late 80s doesn't really count as being a child of the 80s but My music preferences are mostly from the eighties, My book preferences are from the eighties or earlier, I act like someone from the eighties. However most of my life I have lived in the 90s. The nineties affected me because I found out about my footy talent i nthe 90s, my reading and writing talent and unfortunatly my slight ineptitude at handing in assingments on time.

No 1 on my list like a few others have said would be Nintendo because they practicually defined gaming for generations. Platforming wouldn't even be half decent without Nintendo because they took the formula for Pitfall and removed some things, gave it a whole new look and voila Mario was born. And it was good. Konami comes second on my list because it created my favourite gaming series ever ( Castlevania, Suikoden and MGS). Its not how many achievments but how good those achievments were. And one of the crowning achievments rules the stealh genre to this day (Metal gear (Solid) series). Castlevania is one of the best ever adventure series and Suikoden 1 was the first great RPG on PSX. SSI (purchased by Black Isle) is my 3rd choice because their games defined RPGing forever. For gods sake they created all of the Eye of the Beholder games, Icewind Dale, Planescape Torment and more. Theire games have msotly been good but with a few stinkers (Ruins of Myth Drannor).
