---EDITED---......AGAIN! Kaizu started to chuckle, bringing a hand up to cover his mouth. "Whats so funny?" Jules asked. Kaizu stood up again and embraced Jules. She was suprised, but only for a second before she regained her senses and gave a firm embrace of her own. "Thank you.." Kaizu said before letting her go, "I want you on my left flank and I want Isaac on my right. I want the HMQ near the rear, I want Sakura and Vince directly directly behind my flanks and I want both Bowman Class mechs taking cover in the hills to provide long-range support.." "Now you're talking!" Jules smiles and walked out from the curtains, pulling Kaizu with her, they sat at the closest pew. "We're going to take this base in one fell swoop and leave nothing standing...I'm not letting Harlin try some double-crossing bull that he always tries..Anyways, since this is Baskin Territory there will more than likely be an over-abundance of Tyrant Class mechs, so stay on your guard. Shinobis have a tendency to have joints freeze up and the only thing affecting Bowman Class is the low visibility...Though I doubt there is a snow storm in Baskin at this time of the year. Just keep on your guard and check your mechs vital signs at every moment." Jules cracked a smile and gave a mock salute, "Yessir! Sir! Sir guy!" "Now look has the spunk!" Kaizu laughed and stood up, "C'mon joker we gotta tell the team what the plan is....but...Do you think we could stop for some food first?" Kaizu asked, grabbing his stomach. "No." 'What?! Why not!" "No time to lose. Thats why." "Aw c'mon! I'm hungry!" "No." The two left, Jules chuckling to herself and Kaizu moaning for food! "Pleeeeaaassseee!?" "NO!"

Kaizu laid in a bunk in the barracks, towards the back wall. Why would they send him to Baskin? Do they really want to end peoples lives so easily or do they really think that that the team Kaizu leads can do it? No doubt, all the pilots under Kaizu's control are near legends but even in Baskin Territory legends can die. Either way, Kaizu was going and he intended to disuade anyone who wanted to go, but he knew he couldn't stop them if they did decide to accompany him. Kaizu rolled over onto his side and faced the wall, he traced a figure eight with his index finger and let out a long sigh. "Looks like you're becoming quite the loner now. What happened to all that battle spunk?", someone asked, sitting on a bunk two away from Kaizu. Kaizu rolled over and sat up to see who it was, he saw Tobias. "Ah well..Ya know. The Baskin Territory thing is really getting to me...You don't have to go, you know." Kaizu looked around and propped his elbows on his knees, leaning over. "I know, but why not? You're going to need all the help you can get.", Tobias had a point. Kaizu would be outmanned and outgunned at the Garrett Research station and he knew but he didn't want to accept it. Shoma and Jules strode in casually each eyeing the beds and taking one respectively. Jules near the door and Shoma in the middle. Kaizu gave a slight wave as they entered but said nothing instead he laid back on the bed and rolled over, huffed, and then rolled back over. "This won't be the first time I've been to Baskin.." The others looked up, not suprised but interested anyways. They all needed a nice little tale to deter them from the invasion. "It was last year on a mission to hunt down a renegade Olrin Patrol Mech that we suspected of treason. He led us straight to Baskin and at the time none of us, except out leader, even knew Baskin existed and our lead failed to mention how terrible it was there..First our mech joints started locking up and finally the cold broke the seals of our cockpits and started chilling us to the bone. Yet, our lead wanted to continue..Further in and days later we were all dying of the cold and saw no trail of the traitor and thats when it happened. Out of no where a shot rang our and Crandall, my former Patrol partner, dropped. His mech exploded and I could tell he didn't survive...The one holding the smoking barrell was our lead. He brought us to Baskin to kill us and discard us like trash! The rest of us fought for our lives and in the end I was the only one left. I tried my best to get out of Baskin and it wasn't until three days after the trechery that some scout mechs out of Parnel found me.", Kaizu took a quick break from the tale and glanced around then continued, "Its not the trechery I wanted to warn you about, because I have no intention of betrying a soul but its the cold that I am worried about. Long range comms don't even work there. So its best if you all stay here and out of danger." Kaizu finished the tale and stood up, making his way past his teammate. He needed something to drink.

Kaizu stepped foward, snapping up a salute and just as quickly putting it down. " Sir, we encountered Garrett Mechs and they attacked in full force. We tried to fend them off but they were hell bent on taking Olrin. After destroying a number of enemy mechs we then encountered a Tyrant Class Mecha with inpenetrable armor, or a force field...We couldn't determine. Some of us got banged up pretty bad," Kaizu turned to his teammates, nodding then he turned back to Harlin, "So we retreated up here into the mountains to re-arm and re-attack if neccessary." "That won't be neccessary, actually. You and your team are to be sent out to attack and take over a heavily defended research center run by Garrett Forces in the heart of Baskin Territory. Yes, that will suffice." Harlin stood from his desk and turned to face the panoramic window over looking the hangar, "Quite a few good mechs out in that hangar there....A shame they could be wiped out in your up-coming mission." Isaac started to move but Kaizu held his hand out to stop him, the team didn't need any trouble as is. "With all due respect, Sir." Kaizu said with nil respect in his voice, "Baskin Territory is barren, frozen and can hardly sustain life...Even you know that!" "You have your order Patrol." Harlin turned back around to face the team, narrowing his glare. Kaizu nodded to the door and the team quietly left. With a quick snap of his head Kaizu was looking at Harlin with a death glare. "Now you listen to me Harlin." Kaizu said, taking a single yet large step foward. "Wha-?!" Harlin didn't look afraid but Kaizu knew that he was. "I will not have you send a team, MY team, on a wayward mission in to the barren and frozen wasteland that is Baskin all because you have a grudge against me. I will not have it Harlin!" Kaizu was near shouting. "Look, Kaizu, grudge not withstanding, I too take orders and this mission for you came straight from the top. Directly from the Supreme Mech Commander himself, and he ordered me to order you into Baskin Territory to destroy the research station. You have three days left before the cargo plane arrives to transport you and your team..I'm sorry you don't like it...But I sure in the hell do." Harlin curled his lips into a sinister smile. "You slime!!" Kaizu threw a punch at Harlin and connected with his jaw a sickening cacophony of breaking bone resonated throughout the room. Kaizu turned away from Harlin and stole out of the room. Jules was next to the door with her arms crossed and her foot propped up against the wall. "You hit him again." "We're going to Baskin Territory." "You hit him again." "We have three days rest." "Dammit Kaizu! You hit him again!" Kaizu turned to Jules and grasped her amrs, leaning in close. "Have you ever been to Baskin?!" Kaizu asked through clenched teeth. "No but-" "Its easily the worst place on all of this Earth...A frozen wasteland, barren." Kaizu let Jules go and shook his head, "No..I'm not letting you go. None of you. I'll go myself. There is no need to endanger the rest of you on such a suicidal mission." Kaizu turned away and headed towards the barracks. Jules started after Kaizu but he held up a hand that clearly meant; "Stay away!". She would have time to talk to him later. Kaizu turned the corner and accidently bumped into someone. A pilot. Pretty famous, too. It was Melissa Mao. Pilot fo the Heavy Metal Queen or more commanly known as the HMQ on the battlefield. "If you're going to see Harlin he is out like a light. So don't bother." Kaizu rubbed his right knuckles and brushed past Melissa, continuing to the barracks.

Kaizu lead his team up the foothills of the mountains, and around great bends all the while half-expecting an ambush or a giant aircraft flying over and dropping bombs on them but nothing ever happened to them. Garrett's force stayed in the city to defeat stragglers and eradicate all life that didn't evacuate up into the mountains at Lowwell Base. It was a sad day in history. "Looks like our home will soon be their home..," Kaizu muttered as he stepped up onto a larger boulder and hopped down on the other side. He help the rest of his team over and they continued further in, "Lets just report what we saw..Even that crazy inpenetrable Tyrant...Man, that thing was a nightmare." Vince interjected, "You could say that again." "Man, that thin-" Kaizu started. "Not literally.", Vince finished. The team continued up into the mountains until they caught sight of Lowwell Base, over run by evacuation choppers and evacuation buses. Lowwell Base was going to have its hands fun taking care of these people but Kaizu and his team would likely have their hands full dealing with Garrett. They had to pay for what they did and they would pay in blood. Kaizu motioned the team into a hangar that was almost empty sans for a few patrol mechs. Each pilot positioned its mech near the scaffolding so techs could work on them and each pilot got out. As Kaizu climbed out of the cockpit exposed from the chest cavity he threw his helmet as the controls and stepped out onto the catwalk, he leaned against the railing and looked Fang over. Its arm was busted up and the new paint job was already scratched. Someone had to pay for these damages! Sadly, though, it was going to be Kaizu. The loudspeaker sounded and said; "All pilots retreating from Orlin City (the city now under siege by Garrett) to Lowwell Base report to Captain Harlin Keegan's quarters immediately." Kaizu sighed and looked about, seeing the pilots that he was just fighting alongside and knew that some of the pilots he didn't even know but a few he had a pretty good standing with. Regardless they were all in this mess together.

Kaizu waved 'Fang's arm foward and the team launched their simuteneous assault on the Unknown Tyrant. What was it packing? Diamon Alloy Plating or some new defensive shield? Didn't matter, really because it was about to go down in a shower of sparks. Sakura leapt foward at the mech with her energy blade drawn, she slashed at its torso as Vince put a long-range slug into its head but to everyone astonishment; It was still standing, un-scathed, un-hurt, and totally oblivioud to what was going on around it, or at least thats what it wanted the team to think. "Dammit! What the hell!? This is not looking good, team! I hate to break it to you all but I've heard of this before and only one country has its technology. Garret Minor. Yeah, our enemy for over 25 years that we suposidly stomped out in the last Great War," Kaizu explained, glancing at the Tyrant, still standing. "So you think Garret is back for revenge or something?," Sakura asked. "I'm thinking its something like that and if they have this kind of weaponry then we're in over our heads.." Kaizu didn't like admitting that he was on the losing side but at this moment that was the case. Before Kaizu could put his hands back on the mech controls the Uknown Tyrant sprung into action. Quick. He snatched up Sakura's mech by its neck with one arm and tossed it into a skyscraper nearly a block away then turned to look at Jules. He started walking toawrds her not even bothering to raise a weapon. Jules started firing at the mech with her plasma rifle and she jetted backwards tossing the grenade at the Tyrant but he simply caught it in mid-air, enclosed a fist around it and let it blow up in his hand. Kaizu quickly raised his assault rifle and started firing at the Tyrant knowing he wasn't doing any damage. All he wanted to do was get the Tyrant away from Jules or anyone for that matter. The Tyrant kept moving towards Jules and raised a fist at Kaizu and in a flash of a few seconds the fist was away from its arm and flying at Kaizu. Kaizu dodged the fist, but not totally, though it did smash 'Fang's left arm to uselessness. "Oh man, this is not looking so good! Everyone retreat! Retreat! HQ We need an evacuation on the whole city..We've encountered a mech that cannot be stop by conventional means. I repeat that we've encountered a mech that cannot be stopped by conventional means!," Kaizu was already starting to back away, keeping an eye on the yrant mech, "Everyone retreat!" HQ crackled into Kaizu's comm and the same cool and calm voice addressed Kaizu, "Roger that, Patrol Kaizu. Your enemy mech isnt the only one...It seems that they've been deployed all over the city. Our forces are running thin so retreat into the mountains and rendevous at Lowwell Base. I repeat, cease all combat and retreat to Lowwell Base in the Mountains." "We're retreating into the mountains at Lowwell Base. Go! Now!," Kaizu turned and started dashing away, he turned 'Fang's head to see that Jules and Sakura were right behind him and the others were sure to be retreating too. They better be if they didn't want to become mince meat from that Unknown Tyrant.

Kaizu glanced around at his surroundings, seeing many of the Tyrant mechs removed from battle he began to breath a bit. Many more blips showed up on 'Fang's radar screen and Kaizu huffed in irritation. "They aren't serious? Are they!? Well, guys, it looks like we go our work cut out for us today! More combatants on approach. 4 more Tyrants, 3 Templars, 3 Knights, and for all you Shinobi nerds out there...6 Shinobi Class mechs. Closing fast.", Kaizu turned 'Fang' to face the on coming threat of the Knight Class mechs that were advancing closer to him then his teammates, "Everyone keep on your guard..Oh, and TRY and save me some scraps so I can identify these jokers!" Kaizu forced 'Fang' to turn right and start towards the oncoming Knights. He replaced the shotgun and whipped up the Assault Rifle, this battle could be get hairy and Kaizu needed as much accuracy as possible. "Shoma and Tobias. I need you two to remove those Tyrant Mechs from battle and TRY to get the Shinobis. If you're aim isn't true then don't try for the shot...Useless civilian casualties are unacceptable!" , Kaizu stopped short of the advancing mechs and put 'Fang's back to a skyscraper. With a breath and a pop of his knuckles Kaizu was ready for battle and with that Kaizu exposed himself from cover and started firing into the group of Knight mechs. Kaizu was probably war crying into his comm as he fired the obnoxiously loud Assault Rifle but he didn't care because he knew his teammates would just drown him out in their own grunts, whistles, war cries, and the sound of gunfire. This battle was already heated and it showed no signs of letting up. Kaizu sank back into cover while he reloaded but a stray shot clipped his right shoulder as he covered. "Dammit! Nothing serious!", Kaizu whipped out of cover again and started firing, he took down one Knight mech with a few well placed shots to the cockpit area. Even though most pilots were in the chest of the mech and armored to the teeth they weren't invincible and Kaizu knew that. Kaizu spotted more Knight mechs on the horizon, even more than the first three he was already fighting. Jules came out of left field with her heavy machine gun blazing, she took out a Knight mech and ducked into cover behind a building adjacent from Kaizu. "I couldn't let you have all the fun now!" , Jules said, laughing. "I guess not!", Kaizu popped out and fired some more before returning to cover, "Just watch your six." "No, you should watch your six!" ,Jules jumped out of cover and laid waste to the final of the three advance party Knight mechs that happened to get around behind Kaizu by putting way too many bullets into it, "You can thank me later!"

Kaizu patrolled the downtown sector in his mech, his 'Fang' MkIII Attack mecha of the Knight Class. It wasn't fancy looking with all the urban camo paint but it got the job done with precise handling and quick movements compared to other Knight Class models. Kaizu moved around a skyscraper just as his warning alarms went off and the rockets exploded against the face of the skyscraper as he ducked back for cover. "What in the hell?!" Kaizu yelled into his comm, "This is Patrol Nabiko Kaizu and we have unidentified mechs in the downtown sector! I didn't even catch them on my radar before they started firing on me!" Kaizu's comm crackled before a cool, yet calm voice flowed into his ears through the headphones in his helmet, "Roger that, Kaizu. You are free to engage the enemy at will. Careful, they are Tyrant Class." "Great.." Kaizu said to himself as he forced his mech to pull its energy sword out and engage the beam, "Alright...Lets go!" Kaizu dipped out from behind the skyscraper and plunged his energy blade into a Tyrant Mech that got too close for its own good and with a crackle and a shower of sparks the mech went down as the others lifted thier arm cannons and started firing high velocity automatic rounds at Kaizu. With timed movements, Kaizu doged the bullets that were fired at him and ducked back behind a building. "Look, I need some help out here! I've already spotted what looks like 8 other Tyrant Mechs and they're out for blood!" Kaizu frantically weaved around buildings, trying not to be hit by the stray bullets whizzing his way as he retreated deeper into the downtown area with more buildings. Tyrant Mech's weren't the most agile mechs out there and Kaizu would likely have the upperhand amidst the buildings. Kaizu breathed a little as he rounded another skyscraper and was deeper into the city. He knew that the Tyrant Class mechs wouldn't be able to move very well while in the inner city but the only downfall was that they could endanger many civilian lives. "This is Patrol Kaizu," he sounded frantic, yet in control at the same time, "I need an evacuation warning issued to the inner city. This fight is about to become one hell of a ride!" Kaizu swung around and slashed at a Tyrant Mech, the metal from its arm made a screech as it fell from the rest of its arm and made a large metallic crash as it landed on the ground, however, it did not hesitate and lifted its other arm and started firing. Kaizu just barely dodged the rounds by taking cover behind another skyscraper. While behind the skyscraper Kaizu replaced his blade and pulled his shotgun from his shoulder, pumped it, and put his back against the skyscraper face. A Tyrant Mech started rounding the corner with an energy dagger raised but was cut short by the sound and crackle of the diffusor rounds that emanated from Kaizu's shotgun and with a loud crash the Tyrant Mech fell backwards into the face of another skyscraper. "C'mon HQ! I need some serious back-up out here! Send anyone! New pilots or Veterans out on booze runs! I don't care because it seems to me that these Tyrants aren't the only attackers out there!", Kaizu pumped a shell into an advancing Tyrant mech before hiding behind another building. He would hold out as long as possible. Someone would come.

Since I didn't plan for such a turn-out, though I am grateful, I am going to have to do an old fashioned Accepted/Rejected. Those pilots who do use this class much prefer energy swords or shotguns. Knight: The most basic mech class invented. Its not particularly fast, but it isn't slow. It can take a beating before going down and is usually equppied with an assault rifle or a mid-range shotgun type weapon. Although this mech isn't the close quarters mech, it can fare well when employed by a decent pilot. Bowman: This is your typical sniper mech. The weakest of all classes but pretty quick. Its most definately always equipped with a sniper rifle and stays well out of range of other fire. Templar: Heavier than the Knight Class, but lighter than the Tyrant class this mech is typically used with heavy machine guns or shoot-and-drop bazookas. Most Templar pilots have a back-up sub-machinegun type weapon to use and stories tell about some pilots besting a Shinobi Class mech in close quarters. Tyrant: The heaviest class mech around. They are equipped stock with arm cannons and rockets mounted on their shoulders but typically they carry heavy machine guns or shotguns. Gaming What is your favorite and least favorite NES and SNES game?
silpheedpilot replied to Violet Link's topic in Noosphere
Favorites: SNES: Uhh..Dude. Contra III: Alien Wars. Easily. It was hard, it looked damn good back in the day, had huge bosses and a crazy amount of enemies on screen at once, lots of gun powerups and above all it was addictive and fun. Running and gunning, jumping and ducking. It was insane. Loved it. NES: I'm torn between Double Dragon & Battletoads and Excitebike. However, I'm going to have to go with DD & BT because of its co-op beat 'em up action and for the fact you can grab chicks by the hair and beat 'em in the stomach. Why? Because you're big buff white men and ugly green toads, thats why! Least Favorites: SNES: Flashback: Quest For Identity. It was insanely hard, almost too hard. Its control scheme was absolutely horrendous and the story was really lame. Plus it didn't help matters when your main character is a big wussy with a lame pistol. NES: I'm going to get flamed so bad for this one...Balloon Fight. I just never found it very fun at all...You tap your flight button to make your little dude flap his arms and you try and land on other dudes balloons and knock 'em down. It was stupid and un-fun. -
Radiata Stories is for PS2, not GC. With that aside I'd like to point out the fact that unless you, r2vq, are referring to anime based games as imports only...Not only is it unfair, its unjust. You can't go ahead and say that an import anime game is the best if only a select handful of people have played it here in America. I also would like to point out the fact that Tales of Symphonia and the DDS games were not anime before they were games. I would like to agree with everyone on the fact that the DBZ Budokai fighting games were well polished and very fun despite being anime based games. Same with Shaman King on the GBA, and Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex was pretty good despite its MINOR flaws. How about Zoids: Battle Legends? Very good anime based videogames despite its MINOR flaws. What I'm getting at is that not all anime based games are good, and only a few are great but most are not bad by any means.

While shocking, to say the least, I can honestly see Nintendo going somewhere with this, uh, game paddle controller remote...thing. Like James said above; 'Everyone was skeptical of the touch screen on the DS and N64's controller', and I'll tell you that I was at first but they grew on me and so will the Revolution's game paddle controller remote...thing. However, to most casual gamers this controller is going to seem like a waste of money because it looks so goofy and hard to use and thus Nintendo will have another Gamecube on their hands...Its sad really.

I know that piracy is a big issue these days but when its not your doing I tend to think that its alot less...drastic. Such is the case of the Advent Children leak. Benefited me because I got to see it, with English subtitles might I add, and let me tell everyone that whatever has been said or hyped up about it is, in fact, true. I'm not spoiling any details, unless you want them spoiled in which you may contact me via IM, but I will say one thing. Everyone makes a triumphant comeback.

A terrible shame that summer is ending, though mine was a blast. Friends, Gaming, Traveling. Yep. I did it all. The start of the summer I went to Colorado to visit my Papa. He and my Mom divorced and I seldom get to see him so it was quite fun going up there to see him. I was there for a month. After I got back to Kansas from Colorado I threw myself a 'Welcome Home' LAN Party! Which was a blast but that one turned into like 15 or 20 more LAN Parties throughout the rest of summer, which was cool but we didn't play much else other than Halo 2 and Ghost Recon 2. Towards the end of summer my family and I traveled to Texas to see my bro graduate from the Air Force BMT. San Antonio is not a place I'd like to visit again because everyone is rude and NOTHING is bigger there! I did get to see the Alamo which was so awesome, me being a big Davy Crockett fan and all. Good stuff. Other than that I didn't do much, but me being a big gamer it far surpassed my previous summer when Halo 2 wasn't around!

Backpack - School backpack because, well, we just went back to school. I never take that out of my car and come to think of it, I should just leave it in my locker. Skateboard - Well, these are in the trunk but I use them often so I suppose I should just count them too. CD Case - Much like ChibiHorsewoman above you can only listen to the radio for so long, so I just HAD to get a CD Player installed. I listen to CD quite a bit, so this one is a must. X-Box - Yeah, a bit dumb and unbelievable but it doesn't work so... I've been neglecting to take it to my friend for him to fix cause he is all about fixing electronics and stuff. If anyone wants a broken X-Box for parts to create a Frankenbox just go ahead and steal it! I won't miss it one bit! Car parts - Yeah, my car is falling apart. Side panelings and seat belt covers. The whole thing is just coming apart around me. I think even some foam from my steering wheel is somewhere in my car interior! -
Gaming Console front plate customization, Sink or Swim?

Look at is this way. Would I throw down some money for a faceplate with a bunch of Stormtroopers beheading a few Ewoks? You bet your butt I would! Why? Because its personal preference, thats why. Its the same concept for soda. Companies create new types of soda and we all drink it all up! Like the newer Lime sodas; when they came out we all bought into them. Does it make us dumb or anything for buying into a new concept? No. Its just simply personal preference. Some people might want their 360s looking really bland and dull and some might want a 360 that looks quite spiffy and good looking. Again, personal preference. -
Ah! .hack! Well...MORE .hack, I mean. I just slogged through the first one, and I must say that I'm not impressed in the slightest. I loved the anime, and I've seen every episode but I never actually got down to playing the games. So, about 15 some hours ago I picked it up and started playing. It was novelty at first but then it became too repetitive, and lackluster compared to other RPGs out there. Not just RPGs of these years but even past RPGs. Its a shame really, it could've been much better gameplay wise. The story was great, which is why I'm going to bring myself to play the other games. Though, now hearing about the new one I need to quickly mop up Kite's story and get ready for the next one. Hopefully it plays better. Alot better.

Lets see...Final Fantasy 9. Um. Tales Of Symphonia. Along the lines of Ed here I'll say Fallout Brotherhood of the Steel. Its a hack and slash RPG, but an RPG. Star Ocean Till the End of Time has a two player battle mode using the main characters in the game in the fashion the fight in the single player game. Other that...I got nothing, but those are some good ones!

Kilik. Good range, good power. He is an all around good player and if you are good enough you can keep people from ever touching you by deflecting, dodging and then smacking them, plus his long range pokes make people furious! Some say he is way to cheap, but I don't think so. He isn't anymore cheap than, say, Taki or Talim. In anycase, I play as Kilik.

As I predicted, people would pick Ninjas over Soldiers...Crazy anime warping everyones minds. Anyways. I will play a soldier, as of now just a regular 'ol soldier but if no one else signs-up I'll start it anyways and control various NPC soldiers. Name: Known only as Cpt. Kelly. Age: 31 Agency: Cannon Mercenary. Personality: Boisterous, loud, out-going but most of all...Deadly. He has accuracy with that of a sniper, and he knows such tactics like the SWAT, and he can be as cold as a Navy SEAL. He can be called a one-man army, or a silent assassin. He knows how to deal with each threat of the spectrum, having seen both. As stated before, he may be loud and boisterous but he is calculated and cold. A natural born killer. Appearance: He isn't out of uniform very often because he devotes his life to the Cannon Mercenary Guild, and such as given him the chance to craft his own armor. It looks as such. Gaming How do you prefer racing games: realistic or wacky?
silpheedpilot replied to BlueYoshi's topic in Noosphere
Lets see...I totally disagree with everyone here on the technical racers. I love the Gran Turismo games, as well as games like Enthusia, Forza, and Sega GT 2002. I love technical racing. Having to slow down and hit the correct apex for each turn to clear it with as much speed as possible, but I suppose it appeals to me more because I'm a car guy. Ah well. In any case I do love me some wacky racers. F-Zero, WipeOut, Extreme G, and the like, which are all futuristic and awesome in their own rights but when I think of wacky I think of Need For Speed Underground, Midnight Club, or Juiced. Well, because I'm also into the tuner scene and I love being able to trick my car out how I dream, while running through the streets at excess speeds of up to 150MPH and not having to worry much about crashing because my car has such good handling. Now thats wacky. -
Tokyo, Japan - 2010. ~ Shogun Ninjas HQ. A wizend old man stands at the front of a board room, talking to unmasked Ninja in futuristic sneaking suits. They all had katanas on their backs, and they all looked like something out of an anime. "Though dissapointed in our loss of Ninjas, I am proud that we have gained the neccesary intel needed to take down the Cannon Mercenary Guild. With them out of the picture we can reign supreme in our protection and assassination agency.." the old man is cut off with the sound of explosions and sirens. "Go, defend our establishment.", with that said the ninjas in the room evacuated the room. A loud blast is heard, and outside armored soldier breech the walls of the Shogun Ninjas HQ, guns blazing and gas grenades being lobbed around. The Ninjas inside feverishly attempt to take on the advancing soldier, but being caught unaware they stood no chance against their superior weaponry, though soldiers did fall they still had the upper hand and pressed on, gunning down any ninja in view. Man, women, young and old alike. If they bore the mark of the Shogun Ninjas they were quickly eradicated by the armored soldiers, clad in white and black camo with helmets upon their heads. A lone soldier, obviously the commander steps into the hole blasted into the side of the HQ, and barks orders over the gunfire. "Find our stolen data, and eradicate every damn ninja you see! Watch for shadows, those ninjas are tricky! Do not hesitate! Though they are as human as you and I they possess far superior agility and speed!" The commander lifted his shotgun and pumped a round into an advancing ninja, and continued foward into the compound. What seems like hours pass, and soon the gun fire dwindles and finally stops. The soldiers retreat with their regained data, and leave nothing alive. They should've checked harder... Tokyo, Japan - 2010 ~ Slums A masked ninja speaks to his comrades, with an opposing tone. "We have been humiliated and our agency director has been slain. In a weeks time he head to America, and we infiltrate the Cannon's head quarters. Amass what gear you can and be at the designated LZ...That is all." the ninja turns on his heel and darts away, into the shadows. Chicago, Illionois - 2010 ~ Cannon Mercenary Guild HQ. The same commander who had barked orders to his soldier before joining them in battle stood at the front of his own board room, and soldiers without helmets on sat and listened to him brief them. "We know they will probably retaliate for our actions on their headquarters, but we know they have too much pride to assauly us head on and they know they would be out-matched if they did so. They will eventually attempt to sneak in and reclaim the data we recovered a week ago. You soldiers sitting her will be in charge of security detail on the 13th floor, where the data is being stored. They will likely attempt the data retrival in the dead of night so your shift starts now. There will be replacement forces at dawn. Keep that data out of the enemies hands. Do what is neccesary. You've been issued the weapon of your choice and there are ammo resupply points scattered around the 13th floor if you do engage in combat. The enemy will try stealth so your helmets have been tuned to sustain thermal and night-vision optics, the sound recievers in your helmet have also been tweaked to pick up even a mouse moving, ten yard away. Be careful and good luck.", the commander exits the room and the soldiers soon follow. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Soldiers- The Cannon Mercenary Guild's tried and true gun-toting soldier. Trained in firearms, and hand-to-hand combat. These guys don't mess around with assignments and are outfitted with the latest military equipment. White and black urban camo. Heavy, black bullet proof vests State-of the art tactical helmets with night vision and thermal detection capabilities. Most of these soldiers are equipped with assault rifles of some kind or a shotgun, these mercenaries don't play around and they shoot to kill. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Ninjas- The Shogun Ninjas. Highly skilled in conventional swordplay, and stealth tactics. These Ninjas, however, are not like your ordinary ninja. Think futuristic. Jet black rubber and kevlar sneaking suits that dampen all movement sounds. Masks that have integrated nightvision technology. Equppied with titanium-diamond katanas, sharp enough to slice through even the toughest material. Trained in stealth and spy tactics, these Ninjas can bypass nearly all security systems. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SIGN-UP Name:{Depending on what faction. Either a Japanese name or an American name} Age: {Above 21, but below 40} Agency: {Cannon Mercenary, or Shogun Ninja} Personality: {How do you act? Are you cautious or are you brash?} Appearance: {What you look like out of uniform. This is mostly for laughs than anything else.} Weapon: {If a mercenary you have a choice of weapon. No rocket launchers or grenade launchers.} ~~This is a duel of teams. I'm looking for something around 5 mercenaries and about 3-5 ninjas. Again, this is a duel but I would like it played out in RPG fashion to prolong it. Ninjas would be smart not to attack the soldiers head on...They would get killed that way. ~~My parting words are...The ninjas are restricted to what the human body can do, but they have been trained to be faster and more agile than the normal human. Though, dodging a bullet or deflecting it with your sword it OUT of the question. You are human, not superhuman. The Soldiers, while heavily armed and slow moving are not restricted to just shooting, they can do unto ninjas what has been done unto them. As in, if a Ninja can choke a merc. out then a merc. can do the same.

Upon exiting the LAAT, Tank began firing on the droids, tilting his head to avoid a blaster bolt before diving behind the rock that Demon was located at. "We need to break this line, get in there, start doing some damage." Tank spoke into his comm. to avoid having to yell over the war noise. Demon nodded to Tank, one of three rocket launchers still in hand. "Yeah, but that old style army against army clash isn't exactly my type of thing, we're likely to get killed just charging in like that." Demon protested, peeking out from behind the rock and retracting his head just as quick when a bolt flew his way. Tank pointed to a rock further away from their previous rock but clower to the action, "We'll sprint to the rock over there, then to the other one, we'll regroup at that fallen Techno Union ship, then we'll attack those turrets from behind." Tank pointed to a few Geonosin energy turrets that were firing upon their army, and then looked back to Demon waiting for somekind of reponse. Demon simply nodded and took up his Deece, putting a hand on Tanks shoulder. "Ready when you are." Demon said, and with that they sprinted from the rock, firing at the Droids that got in their way.

Lets see...R-Type Final. A staple in shooter history is I say so my self. I've been playing the R-Types since I've been born, they are a must-have for any gamers collection and R-Type Final happens to be one of the greatest R-Types. Its played out in 2-D fashion but with lush, fully detailed 3-D graphics. The weapon effects look great and every ship is detailed to perfection...There are 101 in all to unlock. Yes, 101 ships to unlock and play with so you know your gaming experience won't get dull very fast. Much like the previous R-Types you have the Force at your disposal, an indestructable satellite, that you can attach and detach from your ship to fit the situation. The game is just an all around good shooter to play, and it happens to be one of my favorites. Zabuza, gamer for life.

I live smack dab in the middle of the continent, that would be the United States, to all you foreigners out there. Topeka, Kansas is where I be livin' it up! Our Summers are hot, our Winters are cold...Ah, life is good in Kansas. I wouldn't trade it for anything and I HATE! (That would be hellish, fiery hate) anyone who goes off saying Kansas is dull and ugly. Because, while that may be true (In some parts) its still my homeland and I love it.
