1. Chibi, you and a couple of my teachers been complaining about the costs of this event. I mean, this is a tradition. Would you complain if it was Kerry getting the inauguration instead of Bush. That being a tradition, there would be an inauguration for the president regardless of it being their second term. Look at Clinton, did you truly feel that way about him? I agree with HC about DC paying the bill. Inaugurations always bring in loads of people into the area, and that brings business. If the businesses and citizens are benefitting from this so greatly, why not help out with the bill? The money they received were originally owned by the tourists and other people that came to DC during that time.

If the GBA games were to stop being made, then why do they have the GBA game cartridge slot built into the new DS, including the DS game slot.

5. I collect various things. I collect coins also. I have coins from China, Japan, India, all of Europe, including the Euro. I have some from Mexico, Turkey, Tunisa, Eygpt, and Canada as well. I also collect rocks and I've been doing this ever since I was in grade school. Lately I started to collect manga and Shonen Jump magazine. Collecting is fun!
6. When I was about 12, and my best friend, only 2 years younger, she gave me a green playboy bunny sticker. I still have it in my scrap book. >_> I agree that it is a fashion icon nowadays. You can find anything like this in stores like Hot Topic and Spencers. I see pre-teens and older go in there all the time. I was surprised that a girl I was baby sitting for wore mini skirts, high heels, and knew what a thong was, and she was only 10! I didn't do any of that stuff, let alone knew about how to have sex and other things like that at that age. >_
7. I only have two nicknames, Lauren and Japan. Lauren is odd since that's not my name. (Laura is) I have Japan as a nickname because I love Japan and I have Japan_86 as my screen name for practically everything.
8.
why do they stand and stare? giggle at you? (is it because you have something on your face?) and why do they follow you around?......I mean i walk through the mall and so many girls just stare! or giggle or follow or even stand beside me and just look at me all dreamy eyed...... why do they do that?. (excuse me if I've offended any of the girls on here...I just want to know) This can be for girls aswell. I'd like to know what your answers are on this, good or bad. Thank you
From my experience, a lot of girls can be boy crazy from an early age. I remember my best friend when she and I were little. She kept chasing this boy trying to kiss him. She was only eight years old at the time, lol. It could be that you may have something on your face, but that's not usually the case. From what you told me, it seems like a lot of girls there are into the boys ...heh If they look at you all dreamy eyed, that must mean that you have something they like...whether it'd be personality, intelligence, or looks. Maybe they giggle because you're funny. If I were you, I would just not worry about it. You only live your youth once. Enjoy it while you still have it. Girls mature at a quicker pace than guys do, so that's what may be going on here. They are getting into romance, while guys aren't quite there yet. Being in a relationship with a girl isn't all there is in the world. Sure, they are great. It sounds like you are pretty young. Your time will come.
9.
I believe in the theory of evolution. You can even see it in action today with bacteria and stuff. While all life probably didn't evolve from one ancestor, there was probably about 3 or 4 early organisms that came about through a combination of protiens from different sources interacting with Earth, and those early organisms evolved into all the forms of life we have today. However, you can still believe in God and evolution at the same time. Personally, I think that evolution is how new species come about, but God intends the evolution to happen. That's just how I think, though.
How can you believe in both? You either believe one thing, or believe the other. When you believe in evolution, you believe that the earth came by a big bang. After so many years things evolve into other things and so on. If you believe in God in a Christian standpoint, you believe that He created all things. Not evolution and a big bang. If we evolved from apes, how come the other monkeys and apes didn't evolve? If we evolve, then how come we haven't changed over 2000 years? Sure, we gotten taller and we live longer, but that's only due to good hygene, modern medicene, and knowledge to harmful things like lead and DDT.
10. My favorite sayings so far: "No one ever won a war by dying for their country. They won by making the other son of a bitches die for theirs." George Patton "Kill the reds! Kill the reds!" Blues, RedVSBlue "My feet are getting Pruny." Caboose, RedVSBlue "Look! More Sleeping people. It...must...be...nap...time." Caboose, RedVSBlue "That noise is called water. It is very wet, and very slushy. I have to go to the bathroom now for some reason. Which...is...odd, because I already went when we were standing in the creek together." Caboose, RedVSBlue I really like these quotes because they make me laugh.
11. I posted in the thread like this before. heh... The only people that come to mind for me are: Charles- He's probably my best buddy on here. He's a close friend and I think he's the funniest and coolest guy on the planet. Dark Serena-She's sweet, can kick butt when she's mad, and everything. I also would like to have a little video game showdown with her, Shin, and Des. Syk3- He teases me like no end...I love him anyway lol (in a friend way) Syn- He's just too cool...If I ever make it to Manchester, He, Ajeh, and I will hang. Ajeh- Read the comment for syn. Solo Tremaine- He's helped me with my Matrix story, and I hope to be able to hang out with him if I ever get back to Cambridge. Alan- He's the guy with an awesome attitude. What else can I say? Desbreko- He's really pretty cool. I remember how we used to chat all through the night a few times. He's the best Zelda Lore Master and nad kicker out there. Panda- Now she's pretty cool. She likes SaiYuki, I like SaiYuki...and we live an hour away from eachother or so...so why not? Aleia- Aleia is a sweetheart. She's really nice to me and I love talking to her. I loved her snail mail package to me. Burori- I've known this boy for many years. He's sweet, DBZ crazy, and a cool friend. Drix D'Zanith- Drixy is a sweet friend, and he has an awesome voice. Deathknight- Who doesn't like Kenneth? He's funny Shinmaru- It'd be cool to meet him....and his sister. DDG- It'd be cool to play cards and Metal Gear Solid with her. OtakuSennen- I enjoy teasing him...lol Even though I am friends with a lot of people here, and all of my friends here are special to me in every way, these people in my list are people that I feel really close to. I hope to meet a least a few of them sometime. I'm sure I'll being seeing Panda sometime this year.
12. I've fallen into the trap of replying to this thread. -_- Oh well.... I don't really care what guys look like, though being fit would be a definate plus. I am really attracted to the eyes and the hair for some reason. I love touching guy's hair...lol I tend to be attracted to geeks mostly. You know the type. Video game obsessed, loves computers, and so on. I also like a guy that is pretty humorous. That way they can cheer me up whenever I'm in a bad mood. I also like a guy who is smart, huggable, sweet, who is a Christian, caring, nice, and has a lot of the same interests as I do. I guess that it isn't too hard since I love computers and I can play all sorts of video games like no tomorrow...lol
13. Since I might be living in Japan for six monthes next year, I want to be able to cook plenty of meals...not just pizza and ramen...lol I also want to try and get B's in standard mode in DDR Extreme. Another resolution of mine is too meet Panda. Since she and I live so close...I think we ought to take advantage of that and meet. It'd be really cool. Lastly, I want to be able to become more responsible than I have been. Since I'm adult now, I should be more responsible.
14. 1. Version 7 Launch- You wouldn't believe how excited about this. I kept hearing things from Charles, Desbreko, and James about it while they were in the middle of organizing things for the launch. 2. My 2/3rd year anniversery- I can't believe I've been here this long 3. Those crazy AIM chats 4. Almost meeting Siren and Charles 5. Charles having fun with Syk3's and Shinmaru's usernames I'll post more if I ever thing of any.
15. I have Cerebral Palsy, which is a type of a brain disorder. It is a life-long condition that affects the communication between the brain and the muscles, causing a permanent state of uncoordinated movement and posturing. I am glad that I in my case, the CP is very mild. I can still run, jump, and play. Though...I used to be so clumsy when I was little. I fell and scraped my knees so much that I ended up wearing knee pads for the next couple of years. I used to not be able to balance myself on the balance beam, but thanks to having physical theropy for many years, I was able to balance. Now thanks to DDR, snowboarding, and skateboarding, I don't trip much either. Also, when I was little, I kept on getting ear infections that lead to getting tubes being put in my ears... Those ear infections caused my to have a bad speech problem. I overcame that. With my CP now, my legs hurt every now in then from too much exercise. I also have to sit down too from standing too long. I overcame so much. When I was little, many adults thought that I would live in a group home, be in a special ed class, and be dumb my whole life. I sure proved them wrong.
16. I am not sure about the PSP, but I am almost certain that the XBOX 2 will survive. The reason why I say that are many. 1. The majority of my friends love Halo. Heck one of my friends spend seven hours a day just playing Halo 2 on XBOX Live. 2. Halo is a popular game 3. My friends are all console obsessed. The same friend of mine that spends about seven hours playing Halo 2 also has a PS2, N64, NES, SNES, PC, GCN, and an XBOX. He wants the DS, PSP, and even the new slimmer PS2. 4. Microsoft knows that Halo is popular so it is only available on the PC and XBOX...and nothing else. If you have a crappy computer, but love Halo, you need an XBOX.

Bobby's World!!

At least you can buy the episodes, don'tcha know? lol I loved this show. Bobby was so cute. I miss this show dreadfully. Last time I saw it was before I turned into a pre-teen.
18. PS2 Need For Speed Underground- Since I am a racing fanatic, I seriously adore this game. I only just bought it today. I love it so much. DDR Extreme- This was my first PS2 game. I love it very much. I think I lost quite a few pounds on it already. Robotech Battlecry- This is just like the anime that I enjoyed so much. It is a lot of fun. N64 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time- This is the best game ever. Nuff said. Super Mario 64- This is a fun game I would like to play when I'm bored of everything else PC Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit- Like I said, I love racing games.
19. Like I promised. Here is my top ten list. Keep in mind that I only put games I actually played in my list. Though they are not many. 10. Counter Strike This first person shooter is pretty realistic in it's graphics. The weapons look awesome as well. The only problem with the graphics in this game was that after you die and you ghost around a bit before you come back, you zoom around the map. Parts of the map disappear, and it looks like a city or town in the sky right above the ocean. 9. Fatal Frame Fatal Frame looks pretty good for a survival horror genre type game. It doesn't have too much blood drenching the surroundings unlike other games. The ghosts are in high detail and give off that spooky aurora kind of a feel. The cutscences are made well, and still very scary. 8. Ninja Gaiden I think that the monsters in the game were really made well, and I think that the main character looked pretty cool. 7. Soul Calibur 2 Now who doesn't think that this is good for it's graphics. I think that Link looks his best in this game than any of the Zelda games. ( except for the Zelda game coming out on the GCN in 2005) 6. Need For Speed Underground The cars in the game were beautiful. The shading was pretty good, though the tracks were a little too bright sometimes for my taste. Other than that, I loved all the details that went into making the cars so very sweet. 5. Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Though the facial expressions weren't the best in this game, all the rest made up for it. The movement of him running along the side of the wall was really cool. The movement during a battle looked like you were not really playing but actually watching a movie. The settings in the game were really cool as well. 4. Metal Gear Solid 2 Now this game was amazing. The movement of the characters were realistic. I loved how they did the rain in the beginning. This game was beautifully made. 3. Halo 2 Though not very realistic, the graphics in this game are really superb. There is detail everywhere you look. The creators even spent a lot of time working all of the minor details of the Master Chief. When I was playing the multi player online, I was in aww of my surrounding. Each and every player, vehicle, and weapon were awesome looking. 2. Metroid Prime Metroid Prime did a really good job in the shading. Like whenever Samus ran through fog, or get splattered by water, you see it. It fogs up your vision for a second, or the water drips down her helmet. It's pretty realistic. 1. Half Life 2 Half Life 2 makes number one on my list. Nothing can't really compare to it. I mean, the graphics are that good. When you look at the water, you don't just see a solid blue or green color, but you see that the water is transparent...like water really is in real life.
20. I was watching Filter on G4TechTV, and this was the top ten list they did. They say that graphics are one of the main things that attract people to games, and that's what gets some people into them. I want to know what you think. What would be your top ten games with the best graphics? Please explain why you placed a game where you placed and why you think it should be that number. I will post my top ten later.
21. I've only been playing this game since the day before yesterday. I hate it. It is so annoying and boring. No wonder I hate RPG's so much. All, I do is run into heartless, beat them, go through doors and so on...the same thing over and over and over. It's just like Mithos said. I didn't really like the first game that was for the PS2. The Heartless were annoying, and it was boring me. Thank goodness. I am only borrowing this game from a friend.
22. What I gave Friends FF7 Cloud Drawing Teen Titans Cyborg and Panda drawing Megaman Zero drawing Yu-Gi-Oh Dark Magician Girl drawing Zelda Link drawing Parappa The Rappa drawing Hello Kitty Drawing Prince of Persia drawing Cowboy Bebop drawing blue scarf red scarf crimson scarf Family Sister- oak horse scroll saw wall hanging (I made it) Mom- black walnut bowl (I made this also) Dad- sweat pants Brother- CD case Sister-in-law- Bathtub pillow Dog- A Bag of Beggin' Strip dog treats Cat- Pounce kitty treats What I got From my parents Lip Gloss Sketch pad PS2 DDR Extreme 2 Dance mats socks gloves nail polish knitting needles mechanical pencils Sister Evanescence special edition DVD/CD: Anywhere But Home Lord of The Rings: Two Towers Brother and Sister-in-law Japan travel guide book snowboarding socks My Friend, Ben Robotech: Battlecry PS2 game. I am really happy with what I got this year. My dog is alive and I got to see my older brother and Ben. This was the best Christmas ever!
23. Ahh, so that's it. I know lots of girls, and sometimes me included falling for accents. (like when I met this one German guy...lol...but that's another story) Like this one time at my youth group's retreat. There was this new kid that came along. All the girls fell for him because he said he was Austrailian. At the end of the retreat, they all found out that he wasn't Austrailian at all but an American like the rest of us. He had a lot of girls fooled though. His accent was pretty good. lol
24. That is pretty biased. I've lived in the UK for three years. Yeah, they have their cute ones, but so does every other country in the world. I know that for a fact. All countries, including the UK, also have their not so cute ones. If that makes sense to you.
25.
I agree isn't Italy just so beutiful? We stayed in Heidelberg and got to visit this one awesome castle that’s name escapes me now… but still. The only way to get up to it was to climb this huge paved hill (it’s so hard but soooo fun!^^)
Oh My Gosh!!!!! I've been there too *jumps up and down with glee* On one of my many trips to Heidelberg, I went to that castle. My grandparents that came for a visit during that time were lagging behind while my friend, Keith and I led the way up that hill. When we finally got up to the top to where the castle was at, I played around the many fountains. There was a wedding going on at the time. I had some really yummy brotchen (sp?...German bread) and some brauts with sauercrat(sp?). It was SO delicious! Have you ever gone to the Cinderella castle in Germany? I went there and man, what an odd one. One hallway was made to look like a cave. Another place I love to visit in Germany in the summer time was Sontofen. It was really pretty. There were oak trees and green hills everywhere. The underground was pretty awesome in Paris. The trains in England were the best though. They had those awesome bathrooms where you push a button to close the door, push a button to lock the door and so on. I am such a dork. I got to see the tapestry that was made for William the Conquer too in one of the towns in France. It was really long. I also got to see Dracula's castle in Translyvania too. It was really spooky. The one country that had the best and cleanest water was Austria. The shower I took there while I stayed was the best ever. Two other cool places that I loved to visit were London and Cambridge in England. Cambridge had this really cool mall there, and I also enjoyed going to the many different shops. London was really awesome. It had the culture, the history, and the excitement. I remember London bridge, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, Tower of London, the Parlament buildings, Big Ben, the Rainforest Cafe, and also that one road where antiques were being sold. I forgot what it was called. Legoland was also fun. I almost forgot, I also enjoyed York, England as well. Going to the train museum, and going to the many viking museums were cool as well. I miss Valkenburg, Holland a lot. I miss the little shops, as well as the bars that were blasting techno that allowed you to come in...regardless of your age. I went to pretty much all of Europe. Though, not Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Italy. I've been every where else though. My sister went to Italy though, and she loved it.
