1. Here are mine.I hope that they are alright. EDIT: For those who added my button to their site, I uploaded them in my own server. So....the URL for the buttons changed.
  2. It is really pretty!!! I like the colors and also, it looks like there are a million different items in that painting. I really like it. 10/10
  3. I just finished this book about two month ago. It is an awesome book, though sad. My favorite part
was the part where they were battling to see who gets to be Shogun of Japan. It was sad that Mariko-san died.
It is a really good book. I recommend it anyone. I also got the chance to see the Mini series of Shogun on the Hallmark channel last summer. I though that it was well made and loyal to the book. If you are looking for something to teach you a few Japanese words and phrases, this is a good book and mini series for you to watch. You can also learn a lot about the culture of Japan as well.
  4.
The thing I've always liked about Batman is that there's an aura of insanity around him, at least in the cartoons. I think he's mildly schitzophrenic. In one episode of "Batman: Beyond:, (one kick-arse show), Shriek was trying to conivnce Bruce that he was insane, by beaming a voice into his head. The reason Bruce held it together, as he later told Terry, was that the voice kept calling him "Bruce", and, in his mind, that's not what he calls himself. ^__^
I remember that epsode. It is really awesome. I like all Batman cartoons. Batman Beyond is what I like to watch mostly now. I don't watch too much tv, so I try and watch it when I can.
Now, here's a question: is there currently a Batmn comic that chronicals his adventures, yet doesn't crss over to the other titles? I'd like to read up on 'em, but I simply can't afford to buy all these titles.
I wouldn't really know. Just like you, I just mostly follow the cartoon series that air on Cartoon Network. I spend most of the money I get on anime and manga anyhow to afford Batman comics.
  5. From what I have found from playing very many different types of consoles, the N64, Sega, and the PS2 are the consoles for me. I know that there are no more Sega games on the market or even the Sega console on the market, I still like it a lot. Sega is what got me to love Sonic so much. Sega is my third favorite, but the N64 is my second. The N64 I thought had the best Mario games ever made. There was Mario Party, and Mario Kart. The N64 also had some awesome Zelda games. My first favorite console is none other than the PS2 itself. The controller is easy to use and comfortable to handle. There are plenty of games that I enjoy to play on there...like Fatal Frame, Tony Hawk, .hack, and Final Fantsy. There are many others, though I cannot think of the titles off the top of my head. The PS2 just keeps me content and happy.
  6. I was just over at my friend's house and she and played soe of this. It is really freaky, and it is really cool. There are many thrills in this game. I thought that the whole idea of this game was addicting and excellent. You feel like you want to stop, but, you continue to play anyways because you aren't sure what will happen next and you are curious to find out. Also, when you see a ghost come up, a bar either glows blue or orange.
When it is blue, the ghost is harmless. If it turns orange, watch out for your life.
It is just an awesome game. I'll post some pictures so that what you promised will be taken care of Shin. One word of advice...Don't play this alone. Thank you Gamespot for the images. 7.
And have you read the Qu'ran all the ay through? The Torah? even the Bible? Many Christians haven't even read the bible all the way through, how can you expect me to. I bet CS hasn't even read the bible all the way through, neither have you probably.
I have read the Bible all the way through, thank you very much.
I'm not even going to bother to respond to CS, my point was made, he just doesn't see it yet. What I said in Myotaku was practically agreed with by EVERYONE who responded to my post. Not one person who responded to my post said that I was wrong. Now if everyone agreed with me, that makes me think that I am right in my assumptions.
I would of replied saying that you were wrong on your MyOtaku, but I know you well enough that you would just delete my comment, so I didn't bother.
And the seperation of church and state is IMPLIED in he constitution. So has been said by the founding fathers and so has been said MANY times after. There is an understanding of a seperation of Church and State in this country.
It was officially stated in a court in the 1960's that Atheism was a type of religion. If you believe that there is no God, or gods, then you believe in something, thus, Atheism a kind of religion. Then I demand that Atheism goes against Separation of Church and State. If Christianity can't be in the court systems, then Atheism shouldn't be in the courts either. Also, about what you said of those Evangelists that stuff Christianity down your throats from a day to day basis. You get upset and claim that all Christians are like that. In fact, not at all. This whole situation reminds me of a story. "One time you go to this one resturant. The service was horrible, the waiter was rude, your food that you ordered was late. When your food finally came, it wasn't the best quality too. They made you pay a lot of money for it. After that first horrible experience with that specific resturant, you decide that you will not go to any other resturants that belong to that food resturant chain. You ignore all of those resturants, and one of those may have a nicer staff, better service, and better food." What I am saying, is that you can't have one or two bad experiences and label all Christians that way. In fact, I don't really like those Evangelists. They are way too straight forward and in your face. I feel that if believers of Christ did that, they would just end up rejecting all chances with that non believer.
  8. Who here loves Bataman? I am a major fan of everything Batman. I like the old live action Batman and Robin. I also like the cartoon series that came on Cartoon Network. Now, I am watching Batman Beyond as much as I can. This last Friday, I watched the movie, Batman Beyond: The Return of Joker. Not only do I like the orginal series, and the cartoon series, I also enjoy the movies that were made. Batman Forever is my favorite one. What do you like about Batman? What are your favorite series to watch, and what is your favorite Batman movie?
  9. Well, Annie, I was wondering the exact day you be back. All those months after you left went by fast. Heck, it feels like just yesterday when you left. When you were gone, it was like one long dream. I had no idea that it's been that many months yesterday until you came on. I was like, "Whoa, Annie is back! Annie is back!" After you came on, and then two other people that I haven't talken to in a long time came on, I became light headed and overwhelmingly happy. :babble: I am glad you are back to OB Land. Please stay here, and on AIM, as much as you possibly can, ok? Welcome back, and I am glad that I had the opportunity to call you a friend then, and continue to call you a friend now. Once again, Welcome back, Annie. Drixy will be happy once he finds out ;)
  10. Chris, this is the last straw.
Little history behind the crusade. The muslim people were VERY tolerant of ANY religion within their lands (you could believe and practice any religion). It was the Christians who brought war upon the Muslims because of the fear of the Muslim expansion into the so called Christian lands, in fact thats the reason for the Muslims dislike towards Christians today. . The whole reason they went to war was because of religion and fear that maybe, maybe the muslims were better people. The reason they went to war was because of religion. If it was because of political reasons it wouldn't be called a Crusade... or do you need a dictionary to go with your BS...
The purpose of the crusade was to look for artifacts from The Last Supper, and to spread the good news of Christianity. No one knows exactly every detail that they did during that time.
No, I live here. I DEAL with every single bill passed. I DEAL with every single law passed. YOU don't. You have no idea what Jeb Bush is doing. On a seperate note, the Bush family has continued to proove their stupidity and ignorance in their political offices. I only precieve them as they are. Just as when I see your name on a topic, I automatically assume your responce will be one that I can laugh at because of it's pure silly-ness and lack of intelligence.
I too live in the US and I too deal with every single law passed. Me not quite 18 yet doesn't mean I don't have the right to protest and write petitions. I will be 18 in July, so I can vote then. How can you tell that the Bush family is doing a horrible job? Are you that liberial? What if Al Gore was president? What would Al Gore do that was any better?
One normally goes to a catholic school because they believe in catholism.... or else they'd call it a "school" and not a "catholic school." And if they kicked her out for NOT believing, then let her in because of money, that also insiuates that the money can look past the conception of not believing. Therefore they pretend she is believing because of the amount of money they recieved. Did you not read that post either? You should really take a reading course.
Though Catholicism is a bit more materialistic than other denominations or non denominations, not all of Christianity is that way. If you ever researched Protestant or Lutheran, or even Methodist, you would find out that not all Christian based schools are about the money.
Oh no, my posts here don't have any insults in them, they tell only the facts (maybe if you read them you'd know that). If you want to see what I really say about you when I use insults, you can read myOtaku.
How can you be 100% sure that they are the facts? Have you read about every single thing about these subjects? Not just the liberial sources, but also the conserative sources? Have you even read the Koran all the way through? The Bible? Every religious text? If you haven't, how can you know all the "facts?" Chris, why must you bash every member and thing you don't like repeatedly on you MyOtaku? I read your MyOtaku and it wasn't very nice. You or anyone shouldn't put people down like that. Talking behind someone's back is something I look greatly down upon.
Look, it's obvious you're getting no where. Probably because you're consistantly wrong. But I don't hold that against you, you just don't know any better. When you posted above that 3 against 1 isn't fair, thats because we can see just how insanely silly your posts are. It's like reading a comic strip and you're the joke.
Again, how do you know that you are 100% right? You should know that you don't know every single thing about everything. You may be the wrong one. If you say that Crimson may not know any better just because of his religion, that is pretty shallow minded. You may just be a stubborn. It seems like you are, Chris. It is not 3 against 1 anymore. Crimson is not alone anymore. If you thrash about me on your MyOtaku, so be it. Maybe you'll understand better someday, Chris.
  11. America today is too very obese. Like my one friend. He has about thirty inches around his waist. There is also this other kid at school that is so overweight he can't wear jeans anymore. What I mostly do to stay in shape are a few of my favorite things. During the summer, I ride my bike, roller blade, and skateboard. In the winter I go snowboarding a lot. All year round, I rock climb and I walk faster than someone would usually walk. I don't like to run much, but I've been making myself run more. In the food intake area, I haven't eaten at Burger King or Mcdonald's in over two years. I tell you what...I am not missing those huge calorie burgers and fries. I am currently working on the soda right now. I don't eat candy that much, but I love soda. -_- I am working on it. I've been trying to drink things like water and juice more often.
  12. Just two months ago at my rival school, there was a kid that brought a gun with him that day. He wanted to kill himself. That's all he really wanted to do. All of the teachers and students made it out of the building safely. The cops just ended up shooting him once in the shoulder and once in the jaw bone. The kid is still in the hospital as I write this. The authorities are debating whether he should go to jail or not for bringing a gun to school.

    Last Exile

I started to watch it on TechTV like two days ago. It was Sunday to be exact. TechTV was showing a marathon of Last Exile. I watched countless episodes for many hours. It was really awesome. I liked it ever since watching one of the episodes. I love this anime. It is on of the best ones I've ever watched. I want to watch the rest of the anime that I didn't get the chance to see. I don't think that the dubbing is that bad. Like Dagger said, the voices are some of the best in the business. I really like Johnny's voice.

  15. There are many things that annoy me: Overuse of Emoticons Snobs preps eating sounds high pitched noises large amount of people confined in a small space people who feel that I am mean, inconsiderate, and stupid when they don't know me Spammy posts at message boards When people use too many emodicons in one post, it just really annoys me. It makes me feel like the person over using them can't write or anything. Snobs and preps are just annoying and too stupid. A few of them lean on my locker every morning and when I try to get my locker open, they either don't notice, or cuss at me like I am the rude one. eating sounds and high pitched noises creep me out and make me shudder. Hearing my mom eat is worse enough. Since I suffer from social anxiety, I guess that is the reason why I don't like too many people cofined in small spaces. I find it really annoying that people assume I am really a mean person when I am not. I am just a shy and non talkative person. Since I don't talk much and shy, they think that I hate them. How lame is that? I also find spammy threads annoying. Like, whenever I go to another message board other than here, the post are like:
OMG!?!? Kenshin is SO hot!!!!! I just wanna be able 2 hav all of his pics on my wall!!!!
Something along that line.
  16. The one and only pen and paper role playing game that I ever played was Rifts. It was a lot of fun. Though it was odd at first. That was because I wasn't used to the whole dry marker white board and all of the dice rolling and such. I never role played like that before. It was fun though. It was even more fun because I got to hang out with all of friends. Though a couple of them kept on killing eachother's character. lol
  17.
Interesting thread. ^_^ When I was in primary school, I wanted to be a palaeontologist. I was one of those kids who loved dinosaurs and fossils. I thought that'd be a cool job. But as I got a little older, I didn't like the idea so much.
I wanted to be a palaeontologist too for the longest time. I was obsessed with them ever since I first learned about them. After the dinosaur interest, I always wanted to become a geologist. I loved rocks and every place I went, I picked up a rock and kept it. I still really like rocks, though I don't want to be a geologist anymore. I now want to become an artist, journalist, or a carpenter. I can't decide which though.
  18.
Wicca is a nature based religion. Interestingly enough though, the word Wicca comes from the old english word Wiccae meaning wise one, which is also where you'd get witch. I'm still new to the craft, so I don't know much about it to give you a good enough explaination. However, I can clear a few things up: Wiccans, Pagans if you' rather since that word refers to people who follow a non-Judeo-christian or polytheistic religion (it also comes from the Latin Pagani meaning Country dweller) We don't worship the devil. Heck, we don't even believe in the devil so how can we worship him? Also, we can't fly brooms (even tho if we could it would save on buying airplane tickets) or change people into toads and such. Even tho it would be fun if we could do those things. I'm curious about the witchlike activities you're talking about though. Would you care to explain? Anyway, I hope I've cleared a few things up for you.
Wouldn't chanting or swaying over a fire, be in way, worshipping nature. Like, when you chant in a forrest trying to get energy from the ground so that you can have the power to heal, for example, a sick relative. If you are trying to gather energy, or are chanting to some god or goddess, I believe that would be an example of paganism, would it not?
Second, concerning the Eastern religions, many eastern religions are polytheistic (Hinduism and Shintoism for example) meaning that instead of one God, they call upon many gods and goddesses. Also, creation is looked upon differently. One Native American story from the Iriqoi tribes of Western New York says that the earth was created on the back of a giant turtle after the god of heaven pushed his wife thru a hole in the sky. There is a story from Shinto beliefs that Izami and Inami (the names could be wrong) were a god and goddess who created Japan. So yes, your theory is half right, many religions are based on a God, but quite a few of them are based on a Goddess as well.
Actually, in truth...Eastern religions like Shintoism and Bhuddism, belive that everything has a spirit, and not that everything is a god or goddess. Though, I am not saying that they don't believe in just one god. Islam though believes in only one god, Allah (sp?). I agree with you somewhat Chibi. The way that men treat women over there has been falsey thought about. Some of it is religion though too. If I remember right, the religion tells women to be conservative in the way they dress. Also, when they go to the tempole to pray, the men and boys are in front and the women and girls in back of them. That, they believe is a way to be conservative. Though, having a woman get flogged for showing a bit of ankle, or even white socks is really absurd. Finally, about my religion. I too believe in Christianity. We belive in only one God. He is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are all one. Also, you can't be Bhuddist and be a Christian at the same time, Battosai....Don't get mad at me, but I have told you time and time again. In order to be a Christian, you have to believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again to wash away your sins. Also, if you feel that you are Wiccan and Christian, or many other different types of religion combinations, then, you aren't a...how should I put this....well, you may of been mislead. The very first and most important commandment in the Ten commandments is this: "You shall have no other gods before me." If you are a Wiccan, then your god is nature. If you are Bhuddist, then your god is every single thing. Those are my thoughts on the matter. Sorry if I offended you. I am only being mature about the matter.
  19. Let me see. The most unusual food I have ever eaten... Well there are two of them. Chocolate covered crickets, and the second one is grilled grasshoppers in tortilla wrap with guacamole sauce. Surprisingly, both of those insect treats are pretty delicous. They are also very nutrious. Yum!
  20. I only really like the last three the best. Mainly because I feel that the pictures fit the backround, Like I told you on AIM, I feel that the picture on the first one just doesn't seem to fit. It just doesn't feel right. Though I realy like your last three. I said it before, I'll say it again. You are definately improving.
  21. Very good, Josh!! You are becoming a one of a kind poet. Your poems always remind me of the Edo Era in Japan with all of those Samurai and geisha. I really like it. You seem like a poetic Ronin...a samurai in tune with his surroundings. ^_^ You get a 9/10....
  22. I am speechless.... Anyways, this story is convincing, though you say it is fictional. It just seemed that it really happened. I really liked how you stayed in character throughout the whole story. That is what made me want to read on. Good story, Mitch......now, since I am the only one that took the time to reply to this story thus far, why don't you explain the story in greater detail. If you could, that would be awesome.
  23. I was wondering this a long time. Many say that Huck Finn should be banned from school curriculum and library shelves all because of Huck's bad behavor and the offensive word, ******, used several times in the book. Just as there are people against the book, there are many for it. The people that are for it say that it is a classic. It is a part of history. Also, Mark Twain, the author of the book, wrote this classic right before the civil war. A time where slavery was alright in society. The question is this...where do you stand? Are on the side wanting to ban the book, or are you on the side of wanting to keep it available for future generations? Let the debate begin.... [Just a reminder. Let us be mature about this. Keep your head cool] I'll state my thoughts about the issue once people reply.
  24. I like the very last one most of all. The backround isn't that entirely busy, which is a big plus. It is also blue. Another cool thing since the color blue is my favorite color. Good job! You are certainly approving.
  25. well, in real life, I am popular one day and then unpopular the next...in my own crowd. I am mostly unpopular when I am without my crowd because I am not ditzy like other girls my age. I am also very shy, so that is another major factor. When I am online, it is a different story. I enjoy talking to many people and I am very open and talkative. I am also out going as well. I know that online, people don't care for about how I look, my social status in real life, and that only my thoughts and words count. I don't feel shy online because I know that I wouldn't be teased at all by my appearence or my physical state. I just feel that people online would accept me as a person easier than people would in real life.
