I only really have three holiday songs that I like. They are: We Three Kings of Orient Are, Grandma got ran over by a reindeer, and Osama got run over by a reindeer. I've liked, 'We three kings of orient are,' ever since I was a child. It has a beautiful tune and wonderful lyrics. 'Grandma got runover by a reindeer,' is too dang funny. It cracks me up everytime I hear it. Also, 'Osama got run over by a reindeer is my favorite new version of the last mentioned song. It is so hilarious. I first heard this song in American History class. Everyone in my class was laughing and singing along with it.

I think that it is sweet when guys open doors for me. I hate it when people shut the door right in my face. heh....Like mitch, I say please, thank you, and sorry all the time. I also say hello and good bye to my favorite teachers as well. I open doors for anyone regardless of age and gender though. It is all common courtesy really. Treat others as you want to be treated. That's basically it.

Noir was ok. I only got to see the first episode though. From what I saw, it was pretty good. The music was alright and the characters well thought out. Though this anime is pretty cool, I don't think that is is a good starter anime. It is rather confusing at first and like babygirl said, you would get annoyed of it pretty fast....heh

I almost always get that feeling. When I do, I either feel the urge to draw or write. I enjoy them both very much. When I have the urge to write, I write like 10 pages without stopping. A lot of my friends think that my stories are very good. I also wrote a 20 page journal entry once in one hour. Other than the creative urge to write, I also have the urge to draw. I can't go a day without drawing something. I am pretty good at it. I enjoy drawing fan art. I like to draw things from Inuyasha and Rurouni Kenshin the most. I have like 10 pages each dedicated to the both of them. They are all very well done. I guess I am a creative person.

I've read several manga translations. I've read even farther than the manga books that are being sold now and it surpasses the amount of episodes that Cartoon Network has. Things do get better. I tell you that.
I think that some extra characters arn't needed
Though I do not agree with that quote above. Every single character in InuYasha are needed in some way or another. They add a little bit of flavor to the show to make the anime great. They also make Inuyasha more interesting.

Even though I did join back in version 2, I left and didn't come back till late June 2003. Ironically, I was looking at some of the old posts today. They were from Version 2. Boy they made me cringe. A lot of the respected members today broke several of today's rules back then in their posts. I guess I prefer OtakuBoards as it is today. The posts have much better quality and they are easier to read.

Even though I am not in college quite yet, I've dealt with departure many times. I comes with my dad's job. I moved from Illinois to England, and England to Washington State. I miss my old home, my old school, my favorite places, and my friends. When I moved to England, I left behind my very best friend. We did everything together. Also, after moving to England, I made new friends, found a cool school, and I loved going to London every other weekand, and going to France and Germany every few months. I made new friends, and things got to be great again. I was very upset when I had to leave Europe. Europe wa a very beautiful and fun place. Washington state may have its cons, but it is alright. I've made new friends that are great in every aspect. The point I am trying to say is, life goes on. Just keep your chin up and you'll do fine, Leh. Follow your dreams, and your heart. If you want to go out of state after you graduate, then go out of state. You'll be able to call your friends, email them, and write them. So, it isn't the end of the world. You'll make new friends at the college of your choice. Just remember to keep the old.

It is very good, Charles. I imagined it as a movie. While I was reading, I could see the characters move around, the scenery they were in, and the props they used. I enjoyed it very much. Great job, and very well done.!

I was thinking. I really like to keep on using the font, size, and color options while writing my posts. Those options are a nuisence on how it's set up now. Do you think that we could set up the size, font, and color options into the format that MyOtaku has?

I was feeling a bit creative tonight, so I wrote a short story. DeathKnight, syk3, Queen Asuka, and Piromunkie helped inspire this. Comments are always welcome. Please tell me what you think. She looked into the mirror above her white dresser. She banged her red sweaty fists into her thighs, just wanting to feel other pain to get rid of this horrible feeling in her heart. She stood up, and ran outside of the house, not shutting the front door. She walked outside into the dark night. The moon was shining full. She collaped onto the snow. She is starting to feel the cold rush throughout her body. Tears quietly fall down her pale white cheeks. She lost him. He was the most precious person in her life, and now he is gone. He is dead and lost forever. She will no longer see him again. She couldn't take this any longer. Her legs and arms started to feel numb. It was a cold cold night. She looked up towards the sky too see the full moon. She then closed her eyes and went into a very deep sleep.

I haven's seen the show is literally years. I used to watch that show a lot when I was little. Sometimes, if I am lucky, there is a Peanuts movie on Tv, but that we be on at certain times of the year. Like Halloween or Christmas for an example. Snoopy is my favorite character out of all of them, though there is Lucy who is funny to watch when she picks on Charlie. One other character, whom I find rather annoying is the character, Peppermint Patty. When he starts talking, he would never stop. He would just go on and on.
by Shinmaru Personally, besides Snoopy, my favorite was always Linus. I mean, the kid carried around the damn blanket and sucked his thumb without any thought of what everyone thought about him. That's gotta count for something, at least.
I agree with you Shinmaru, Linus is a pretty cool character. Though he may seem a bit babyish at times, I do admire him for not giving a care in the world what people think of him. He just continues on with dragging that blanket everywhere and keeping that thumb of his in his mouth.

My favorite war movie would have to be either 'Black Hawk Down,' or 'Behind Enemy Lines.' I usually hate to watch war movies, but these two really caught my interest and I find them rather enjoyable. These really got me to start thinking. They are very good and I definitely want to watch them over and over.

From what I've seen, this anime is pretty cool. It has a good storyline...somewhat....the Pokemon idea. Just like Inuluvr said. It is pretty cool. The songs are alright. It is a pretty awesome anime, but in my mind, it is not the best I've seen.

Let's see...my older brother gave me several stupid nicknames. I don't know why though....they make no sense. Lora Pora Dung Pow Goober My friends call me otaku and people who dislike me girl who walks funny The nickname, 'otaku,' came from me knowing and loving anime so much. The 'girl who walks funny comes from the side effects from my disability.

To a certain extent, I do call myself an anime otaku. I know the vocab, I've seen a wide variety of anime and fansubs that are not yet licensed in the US. I own several manga books and a few video tapes and DVDs. I have pokemon pencil tops, Gundam Wing models, posters covering my bedroom walls and drawings galore. My friends in real life who like anime, also call me an anime otaku. People often come to me for advice on what anime is best to see and what they should save there money on. Also, before my computer was reformatted last year, I had over 50 anime MP3's and 120 anime midi's. I had like almost all of the music from every Gundam series ever shown in the US. I also had some DBZ midis as well. I also know several anime vocab words. I use 'baka,' 'jaa ne,' 'sayonara,' and 'dame' practically everyday...Though I know those words and plently more because I am taking Japanese. lol I also own a few Yu-Gi-Oh cards as well. I guess that I can say that I am an anime otaku. heh

My favorite moment of all time of Dragonball Z is when Gohan is doing the Kamehameha wave against Perfect Cell. When he is feeling so much pain about
the death of his father and his father giving him some cheer from Snake's way, or whatever you call that place. Then Cell gets killed to the very last cell. Gohan defeats Cell.
I don't know if that should be in spoiler tags or not, so I did the tags just to be safe.

At first, I thought that Cowboy Bebop was very boring. The only reason why I kept on watching it is because of the jazz music. After watching like the first three or four episodes, I was in love with this anime. Like I said before, Cowboy Bebop has excellent music. I also like the action. Ed is one of my favorite characters too. I thought the ending of the series was very good, though a bit sad. Cowboy Bebop is an excellent anime series.

A lot of students at my scool do the same thing as what they do every dang day. The popular people always dress in brand names, the goth's wear black, and the punks wear punk clothing and spike bracelets. I, for the most part, hate social safety. One spirit days, when I am supposed to where red, I wear the colors of the rival school just for the heck of it. Social safety is just annoying and a waste of my time. Like, if you have a brain, use it. If you have your own style or personality, show it. Don't just hide it away thinking that a certain group won't like this, or another group won't like that. People I guess are a fraid of being teased or something, that's why they follow the mob.

When I moved England a few years back, I visited Ireland for a week with my family. What a beautiful country. Anyways, I love Celtic music very much. I really like the bag pipes and the other instruments as well. It is a very calming music that helps me when I am stressed or when I am trying to study. I don't really have a favorite band, but I do have a favorite song. It is called "Riverdance." Visiting Ireland not only kindled my liking for Celtic music, but also riverdancing. I too enjoy the art, oh and the history of the druids. Anyways, celtic music is very awesome indeed. It is one of the genres of music that I never get tired of listening to.

My school has PDA rules and a dress code as well. Nobody abides them. They make out in the hall, hold hands, hug, you name it. So the school is doing nothing about it. Apparently they don't care about how students and teachers are dressing either. Quite frankly, the school doesn't really care. The rules are there because they are. I don't really mind seeing PDA here and there around the halls, so long as they stay out of my way. I have lost count in how many times I got really annoyed with couples stopping right in frony of me and kiss and hug, or they walk slowly down the hall hand in hand, blocking your way and wasting your time trying to get to class. PDA can be annoying at times, though, they can be a bit interesting....like kiss a random person day...weird I know lol. Some teenagers are going to kiss and hug...nothing is going to stop PDA, not some silly rule, at least.

I've seen the first few episodes of Naruto. I think that it is an awesome show. Out of the anime, I the aspects I like are the music, characterization, storyline, and the original voice actors. I pretty much enjoy it all. I also follow along in the Shonen Jump magazine once a month as well. The music has sort of a tribe feel to it. I especially like the beginning and ending theme songs. Mostly the ending theme song because I love it so much. The tribe like sound effects and music was odd at first, but that's what makes Naruto, Naruto. The characterization is very well done and funny. How they interact, the crushes, and their likes and dislikes are really fun to see. Naruto has to be my favorite character, and Kakashi my second favorite. The storyline is also very interesting. To make an anime great is mostly it's storyline. I enjoy the whole ninja idea a lot. I also like how Naruto acts the way he does.
All of his jokes, pranks, and what not.
heh The other thing that makes the anime so great is the original Japanese voices for the characters in the story. Naruto's and Kakashi's are especially cool. The only problem though, is Sakura's voice. Her voice is very annoying. Over all, this is an excellent anime and manga. I enjoy it very much. It is very funny indeed. I found myself laughing on countless occasions. heh... I also got to play a couple parts in my friend's dubbing of the show. She plays the voice of Naruto. I got to play a couple girls in the first episode. It was fun. If you do not know where to get Naruto episodes, feel free to PM me. I'll tell you where to go. Naruto is just plain awesome!

The Evil Creatures known as "Siblings"
Japan replied to Hittokiri Zero's topic in General Discussion
I have one older brother and one older sister. My brother is 22 years old. I usually get along with both of them. Though, from time to time, I do get into fights with my sister. I always get along with my brother, unless he is mad about me doing something like posting on OB. My brother gets really annoying at times because he turns off the computer when I am using it, or reads my IM windows. Also, he listes to country and he thinks I listen to 'angry music as he so calls it. I just listen to rock and techno. My sister is 20 years old. I don't usually get along too well with my sister. She is so girly compared to me. We have nothing in common. For an example. I refuse to see a chick flick. She loves chick flicks. She doesn't like action/fantasy/sci-fi movies like I do. As you can tell we can never really agree on what movie to rent. Though, whenever I give her backrubs is the time we get a long best. heh...that is odd, but oh well. Another thing that amazes me though, when I was grounded from the computer, she let me on for a half an hour to talk to Charles a few times. She is the only one that knows that I call online people. Though she is starting to get paranoid about that. One thing that I never get along with both my brother and sister is my liking of anime. They think that anime is really stupid. My brother thinks that bugs bunny is a billion times better than Inuyasha or Rurouni Kenshin. They think that I am really obsessed with it. -
I song that I am mostly listening to now is "We're in Heaven," by Dj Sammy. We're in Heaven is just like the same song as, "Heaven," that you heard on the radio. It is just a remix. It is a song where Dj Sammy can express his talent as a Dj more than the original. I feel that techno music shouldn't have a lot of singing in it. Though, that's just me.

I thought that they were awesome poems Shin! Though I don't really know what to say though because most poems that are supposed to be good make no sense. Though, yours made a ton of sense and I enjoyed them very much. Unlike KKC, my favorite poem is, "My Love." That poem made me chuckle and I think it is very sweet. Keep up the good work my friend.
