Name: Angelina LaClaire Age: 27 Appearance: Click Here Bio: ".. A wise man once told me, as I passed him on the street, that shadows are harder to see if you're too focused on the sunlight. At the time, I had no idea what he was talking about. Yet.. I look back on it now. And it was true. All too true.." Angelina sighed as she finished reading the journal entry. All of the passages seemed to grow shorter and shorter as it neared the final one. She was tempted to skip them all and just read the last page, but that wouldn't help her. "Must be patient.. Mom always told me to be patient." The book she held in her hands was once the diary of an aging woman named Madeline LaClaire, Angelina's late mother. Every entry she read taught her more and more about her mother. Things she could never imagine were troubling her during her life, and the little things, that Angelina never gave much thought to, brought her so much joy. Angelina paused as she reminisced. She thought of the old days. The easy days, where she could run around playfully with Edd, her young puppy, while her mother cheerfully squirted her softly with the hose. She doesn't remember her father. He died soon after she turned four, and her mother never talked about his death, so Angelina didn't know how he died. She grew up for a few months without him until her younger sister, May was born. For some reason, Angelina cannot remember the days before her sister was born, which is why she can't remember her father at all. She grew up with May and her mother, and all was peaceful. Well, as peaceful as a post-apocolyptic world could be. Her family was harrassed often, and moved against their will several times. When Angelina turned 16, and May was about to turn 12, their mother passed away for unknown reasons. Angelina was given her diary, and the two now orphans were shipped into the local orphanage, and Edd was sent to the shelter. May was always shy, and the new local just made her sink even further into seclusion. Angelina, however, grew into a very loud-mouthed rebel during her days at the orphanage. She was free to leave at the age of 18, and took her sister with her. May, only 14, was growing more anti-social by the day, and so she became more and more dependant on Angelina. Angelina never complained about this, but worried for May's future. She wouldn't be able to survive such a demanding world by being dependant. One tragic day a few years of barely managing to survive later, Angelina's home was raided by Black Horde soldiers, and she and her sister were seperated. Angelina managed to escape those trying to capture her, but May, still weak and submissive, was easily taken away. That day was Angelina's 21st birthday. Angelina dedicated herself to finding her sister, but never could infiltrate Black Horde HQ, nor track down the soldiers who had taken her away. Soon, she heard of a group called the Ragnorok Corps. who were opposing the Black Horde. She immediately went in search of them. When she found them, she was tested, accepted, and offered a part in a new program. Eager to accept, Angelina spent the night before her transformation reading her mother's diary, which she had always kept with her. Angelina slowly finished the page she was on. Taking a glance at the book before her, she noticed that there was only one page left. Her hand quivering a bit, she turned the page quite slowly. Staring at the page, she noticed it had only a few lines on it. "To my dearest daughters.Know that I love you. If you are reading this, than either I am indeed gone, or you're searching through my things again! You will find the answers you seek. There are many hints hidden in these pages, but you must answer all your questions on your own. I know you will find them. You two are smart girls. Good luck. And see you soon." Angelina paused. "'And see you soon?'" she repeated quietly to herself. "Could she--" Loud knocking interrupted her thought. "Ms. Angelina, it's time," said a rough, but kind voice from behind the door. "Coming," she replied, stuffing the diary into the pillowcase on her bed. She opened the door and followed the gruff man away, all the time thinking of the last line. "And see you soon" Psychic powers: [Awaiting PM/IM]

Miru stood calmly in the hallway, watching the first, second and third years being shown to their dorms. She felt a bit bad about having her own room when others did not, but she ignored the feeling. Instead, she concentrated on her book. She held it high in her right hand, skimming for review. Every year the returning students were tested. She didn't complain about these review tests, but she didn't enjoy them, either. This evening, she was still a bit shaken. Miru's reoccuring dream had returned again. And even more haunting than before. "Ignore it," she chanted quietly to herself. She hated this feeling. The feeling of fear. She was afraid to return to beneath her bedsheets, and lay her head on her pillow. For every night the dream returned and haunted her until morning's rays. "Forget it," she repeated. "It's nothing." When the crowd in the hallway had thinned down a bit, she was tired of watching kids walk around, and retired to her room. Inside her room was very bland. There were book shelves crowded with her text books and some free reading ones, as well. On her desk lay several sheets of paper covered in notes, and a few pencils and pens filled a small cup. A few jackets were pilled a top her wheeled chair, and her shoes poked out of her closet door. Across the room, her bed was far too large for her, but she didn't complain. She enjoyed having all the extra space. Miru placed the book she had been reading on her desk and pushed in her chair. She removed her slippers and floated wearily to her bed. She sat down on it, but hesitated to lift up her blankets. "What if it comes back?" she thought aloud. There was a long silence before she spoke up again. "No.. Miru, you cannot let a dream frighten you. It means nothing," she told herself firmly, rolling over and pulling the blankets around her. "It's just a dream.." "But it continues to haunt me.. Each night, I get less and less sleep. I cannot stand this.. There is no way to escape it.." her mind rambled. "Just a dream.." she whispered, closing her eyes. "There is no way to rid myself of this horrid nightmare.. No way at all.. Is there?" her thoughts protested. They would not be silenced. Miru combatted with herself in silence for a few more minutes before she quietly drifted off to sleep. "Don't worry.. It's just a dream," she mumbled before drifting away.

Uh-oh. I'm competing for the Crest of Strength.. :( Name: Rin Medestra Age: 16 Gender: Female Race: Mithra (looks human with cat features - ie. tail, ears) Heh.. Stealing this one from FF XI Personality: Rin is the kind who, when gets an idea in her head, there's no way to get it out. She's stubborn, outspoken, and crude. She has a nasty habit of speaking her mind without giving even the slightest of thought as to whom it may hurt or offend. She does things her way, and, when push comes to shove, she'll knock you into the mud. But, while incredibly blunt, she's also very cunning. She can wiggle her way out of any jam, and leave someone else in her place. Rin is, however, a devoted friend.. most of the time. Crest: Strength Gifts: Enhanced strength, and the ability to levitate things (ie. objects around her, herself, opponents, etc.) Magic Color: Blue Mount: A large (white) tiger named Tora. Bio: [Will edit.] Sorry I didn't get everything finished. I'm getting kicked off now. ;_;
And stop using my smilies or I'll paw[/b'] you to death. >:^O
I'm afraid... @_@; Well, I, too, have noticed the repetativeness of all my banners/avatars. I got a little obsessed with that one trick. ^_^;; But, now I'm onto another one! >:^D (Uh-oh.. *hides from DW*) Here's my latest set. I really liked this picture, and my friend's dad had picked him up from school yesterday on a motorcycle (I think it was a Harley-Davidson; it was a very nice dark red one, not that you care, or anything). Soo.. I was "inspired", shall we say, to make these. ^_^ Motorcycle Set: Tell me whatcha think, okay? x3
One more thing: I can never tell if Sai is a man or a woman. Can someone clarify? In the manga, they say "He", but s/he still looks a little like a woman.
Thank you. I had been waiting for someone to bring this up as I scrolled through the thread. ^__^;; My only access to Hikaru-no-Go is through the Shonen Jump magazines. Not that that's a bad thing, mind you. But when HikaGo was first introduced into the line-up of comics, I had several "issues" with the characters. As Billy Shears mentioned, Sai is quite womanish. What with the lipstick and the large kimono (I'm not sure if that's exactly what he's wearing, but whatever) and the long hair, it can be quite confusing. Also, my first glance of Akira made me automatically think he was a she! Many manga artists, as I'm sure you've noticed, tend to make some boy characters a bit feminine (ie. very thin, almost curvy in shape, long hair, etc.), but I mean.. Come on. Give us block headed Americans a break.* But other than a few misconceptions, I have no problem with this particular manga. I enjoy the story, all the characters are likable (with a few intended jerks), and I can easily see most of this particular story actually happening. I believe I'm up to
Hikaru/Sai's game with Akira over the internet
. Or maybe a little pass that. I really like reading it and I can't wait for my next issue of SJ to come in the mail next month. ^_^ *When I say "block headed Americans", I do not refer to all Americans in general, nor do I intend to offend any one particular group. I just meant those that aren't as open-minded. Just making this clear so nobody thinks I'm attempting to hurt somebody's feelings. =D

Here's my shot at it. I did a weird little trick for her eyes, so they're basically the only coloring (aside from the text). And I didn't put your name on either since.. well, my computer seems to have eaten all my good pixel fonts. =\ Hope you like 'em anyway, though.

I'm about to ask the woman i love to marry me
Kitty replied to Lightwing's topic in General Discussion
Most of the people here are teenagers [eccentric ones, at that'], so I doubt you'll get any real, practical advice.
You're stating the obvious for the newbie, Ken. How nice. =P With that aside, I can't really give you any advice. I have not thought about marriage at all at this point (my being your age), and I don't plan to until my late-college or post-college years. You must really like this girl to even consider getting married at such a young age. But I do remember an ex-boyfriend of mine that wanted to get married.. He turned out to be the stalker type. o.O;; Good thing I moved. *glances over shoulder* >>; -
Gah! Pokemon RPG! Must.. sign.. up.. @_@ The demented Pikachu in my closet demands it! :rolleyes: :animeswea Name: Rin Hatokashi Age: 15 Description: Click Here Bio: Rin was born in Hoenn, but her parents moved back to Kanto a few weeks later. Her family planted in Saffron City. Her father left home when she was still young in search of a great fortune. He would write often, and would talk of how close he was to his jackpot find. But he never seemed to find it. Soon after Rin had turned 7, her father stopped writing. Either that, or the post office was screwy. She recieved no more letters, and this put a large cloud of doubt and worry above her head. It wasn't until the day of her 10th birthday that she finally recieved another letter from her father. But to her surprise, it was attached to a large box. Reading the letter, it told her that her father was indeed alright, but that he wasn't yet ready to return home. She was to open the box, and choose if she, too, wanted to begin a life of journeying. Inside, was a backpack and a pokeball. Since she was little, Rin had always enjoyed riding her father's Gyarados and Dratini. This little hobby became a full on obsession. Rin knew everything there was to know about dragon and flying pokemon. And inside the pokeball her father had sent her was a Dratini. Determined to be like her father, Rin left home at age 10. Her only goal was to catch all the pokemon there were to catch, and make some good friends along the way. Rin is very bubbly and hyper most of the time. She enjoys making friends, and would like nothing better than a good battle. She admires no one more than her father, who, though not successful by most people's standards of success, is living the way he'd like to, and has no regrets about it. She has a love for all pokemon, but dragon pokemon especially. She can see through any weakness a pokemon may have, and see their true potential. Starter pokemon: Dratini (Given to her by her father) Additional Pokemon: Charmander (Caught just outside Saffron City) -- Hope that's okay. ^_^

Name: Katrina Cleever Nickname: Kitten Age: 25 Gender: Female Affiliation: The Black Devils Physical Description: Katrina, like any gang member, keeps in shape. While not outrageously muscular, she is still strong enough to kill many men with her bare hands. Not that she'd want to, anyway. Like most long-term residents of Los Diablos, Katrina carries a scar. On her upper right arm, there is a large mark where she was once cut open with a knife. But more on that later. Katrina is about 5'9" in bare feet, and about 5'11" in her boots. She has long brown hair, with a few natural golden highlights, that she keeps tied up most of the time. She's a very voluptious young woman, with a curvy shape, and she definately knows how to use it. She usually wears skimpy, or tight, t-shirts with large cargo jeans and combat boots. Katrina often wears belts, not only to keep her pants up, but for a place to stash her knife. Biography: Katrina was born to two officers of the LDPD, and lived in a wealthy home just outside of Precinct 6. She was raised mainly by her maid, since her parents were out "protecting" the city. Ever since she was young, she knew what her parents were actually doing was far different from what they said they were doing. Isabella, her maid, was more family than her actual family. Her father usually worked the most, so when he was out and her mother was knocked out from her pills, Katrina would invite Isabella to stay the night in her large house. At age 11, Katrina was told that she, too, was to become an officer for the Police Department. This sickened her. She refused to become a money whore, lying and cheating just to get paid an extra hundred dollars. Besides, she hated cops. She had been arrested several times for grand theft auto. But her mother, usually, bribed the arresting officer long before she got to the station. Instead, one day while her parents were at "work", she took her mother's wallet, which had several credit cards inside, and a large sack full of money she had been saving up by stealing small amounts of her father's stash at a time. Then she left with Isabella that day, and never returned home. Of course, her parents put a little effort into finding her, but not nearly enough. If they had, they would have easily found her. But she lived with Isabella, who still worked at her parents' house. In total, Katrina had stolen about one hundred thousand dollars from her parents' home, but she rarely used it, and still has a large sum of it to this day. While living with Isabella, Katrina learned how hard it was to live in a poor neighborhood. She rarely left the house because she was too worried that her large stash would get stolen. Often, she would sleep near the large amount of money with knives in her hands. While Isabella was away, Katrina would practice with anything she could find. She stuck to knives because they actually could do damage. After she had found a secure place to put her stash, Katrina traveled the streets near her small home. Several times, she was raped or beaten, and carries the scar from one such event. But she always came back home and practiced harder to get strong enough to fight them off. Soon, whenever someone tried to rape her, she could fight them off. After that, she began to travel more extensively, and would even kill to get others to leave her be. At age 14, she would even pick the fights just for a little practice. One day, soon after her 17th birthday, a young man named Michael Lorenzo came strolling down her street very calmly. She was laying on the curb at the time, carving something into a dead man's leg. He paused before her, and she looked up at him. He asked her what she was doing, and she told him, very calmly, that she was cutting her initials into her latest victim's leg. When he wondered why, she replied that she always carved her initials into her victims. It was something she did to make a name for herself, so that she would no longer be taken advantage of. He asked her to come with him, and she did. On the way, she stopped by her house, left a note for Isabella, and took her money with her. She then continued with him, where he completed his hit, and took her back to his base. There, Michael told the Boss of his latest find, and soon after Katrina was taken into The Black Devils. Once a member, her hobbies were turned into skills, and she became a cold-blooded hitman. She could do any task given to her, and she would do them without a word. She felt no guilt, and gave no remorse. She was silent and quick at times, or made it painful and slow, depending on her mood. After one mission, she was followed back to base by a small kitten, and, in front of everyone, she shot it dead at point blank range with the Colt .45 she had just used for her hit. That was how she recieved the name "Kitten". Specialites: Give her anything, and Katrina can kill. She's adaptable to almost everything you can think of. Her favorites, though, are double barrel shotguns. She always carries a small pistol in her boot and a knife on her belt for self-defense (like any sensible person in Los Diablos should). -- EDIT: Sorry if the bio's a little long.. And hope you don't mind the cameo, ReFlux. ^_^;;

Akki glared at her radio after hearing the announcement. "Idiots," she spat. Getting out of her seat, slamming the "Off" button as she went by, and nearly breaking the entire radio, she grabbed her glass of water and gulped it down. She slumped into her kitchen, disappointed and worried. The fools don't know what they're doing, she thought. Placing her glass in the sink, she turned and walked over to the basement door. Opening it, she stared down into the darkness below. It was difficult to manuever down the stairs in the dark, and the lightswitch didn't work anymore. Finally feeling no more steps, Akki sighed with relief, but continued blindly stumbling around until she felt the toolbox. She opened it with no trouble, having never locked the box in the first place. In it was a key and a flashlight. She turned on the flashlight and held the key firmly in her palm. "Didn't think I'd need you again," she muttered before rushing over to her closet. Though she knew it was locked, she found it a habit to try the door beforehand. Indeed, the handle would not budge. Gently using her key, she then opened the door and was greeted with lots of dust and a few bugs floating out at her. She coughed a bit, and rubbed her eyes of the dust. "I really should clean this place.." Akki thought aloud. Shining the ray of light the flashlight emitted into the small nook, she saw what she had not seen in ages. "Ah.. I missed this uniform." Though it wasn't exactly a uniform, she considered it one since she wore it only on her missions. Grabbing the bag and clothes, she then shut the door and returned upstairs. Holding out the uniform before her again, now in better light, she noticed how dusty it was. "I can't wear it like this.." she groaned. But she perked up suddenly, summoning a large bubble with a wave of her hand. "This shouldn't take long," she smiled. The bubble enveloped the outfit she had been holding a few moments earlier, and began to fill with water. The contents of the bubble swished around a bit until all the water disappeared and the it burst. Akki caught the, now nice and clean, clothes in her arms and changed right then and there. "It still fits!" she giggled. Dumping her previous outfit in the "to be washed" pile in her laundry room (which was filled to the teeth with dirty clothes), Akki grabbed her bag and rushed through the small house, turning off lights and finding a few things she saw fit to bring along. Once finished with her last minute task, she set out the door, locking it behind her. "All right, you bastards. Here I come," Akki giggled. It had been awhile since she'd last traveled on her own, and was out of practice. But she took a deep breath, jumped a few times, getting higher and higher each time, until she could summon a large gust of wind. Spreading her arms, the large sleeves of her shirt acted like wings and allowed her to glide on the rushes of air she called beneath her. "Whee!" she cried happily. She had missed this part of her journeys more than anything. Flight was, after all, one of the few things that made her feel truly free. The only thing that brought her a bit down was that she had to be alone on her trip. She had always traveled with others. It was unfair that now she couldn't. She felt herself falling, and quickly called forth more wind. "I should stop thinking about it," she told herself firmly, "It'll just slow me down." Determined to forget it, she began to whiz around in circles in the air. Minna.. I'll make things right. I swear it, she thought to herself. But that was the last of it. She rid the rest of her dreary thoughts from her mind and went on giggling and daydreaming. Like she normally would have.

I never got to read it when Watterson still did the strips for the newspapers because I was too young (or non-existant o.O) at the time. But once I turned 7 or 8 (I can't remember exactly), my dad gave me "Attack of the Deranged Mutant Killer Monster Snow Goons" for my birthday. I really enjoyed this one. It was my only one up until I turned 10 and I desired more Calvin and Hobbes, having read the collection more than thirty times all the way through. My next Calvin and Hobbes books were "Scientific Progress Goes "Boink"", "The Revenge of the Baby-Sat", and "There's Treasure Everywhere". Those I have all read through more than twenty times all the way through, just to pass the time. Today, my collection includes all four listed above and "Weirdos From Another Planet!", "The Essential Calvin and Hobbes: A Calvin and Hobbes Treasury", "Calvin and Hobbes", "The Days are Just Packed", "The Indispensable Calvin and Hobbes" and "The Calvin and Hobbes Tenth Anniversary Book". While I'm still missing a few, I've gotten chances to read through them (my cousin's have some of them). I really want them all, so I can fill out my Calvin and Hobbes shelf in my bookshelf. ^_^;;

Name: Andrew Kleever Character: Lost Boy Age: 14 Appearance: Andrew stands at just under 5'9". He is dawned in shaggy pants (held above his waist, however) with a tile-patterned belt, a large grey shirt that says, "Redefinition" in large white and dark blue lettering, and a pair of black and white DC's that no longer resemble what they used to be. Bio: Andrew was the model son in his family, having an older brother who got into trouble quite often, and a younger who hadn't yet emerged from his shell yet. At school, he could get top marks without even taking a glance at his text book. The smartest in his school, they thought about transferring him up a few grades. But Andrew insisted that he stay in the same grade with his friends. So, for a few years, they stayed together. But like all friends, some move on quicker than others. By the beginning of his ninth grade year, Andrew was the only one of his former pals that had not started to do drugs, drop out of school, or seem to disappear into thin air. He had a few friends, but none that were as close as his previous friends. At age 14, Andrew was alone, bullied, and fussed over and he was tired of it. He was greeted by Peter soon after he had decided to run away from home, but right before he had actually left. In fact, the note he had written to his parents, that he was going to leave on his bed, he still carries with him. Yet Andrew tends to ignore his past. The boring days before his becoming a Lost Boy. He enjoys his new friends, and the Neverland Indians and mermaids. He's actually become quite fond of a few in particular. The way Andrew thinks is in more of an "act now, ask later" order. While this gets him in to trouble sometimes, he's quick witted, and fully capable of scrounging up a way to get himself out of it. -- EDIT: Sorry it took so long. >>;; I just felt like completely starting over, so I'm a Lost Boy now. Hope I'm accepted! ^_^

Hmm.. Sorry, Annie, but I must say that the original ending was the better one. While this one was fine, it just made the ending too.. stereotypical. Everyone went home happy. I preferred it when the reader didn't know if our Bikini Bandit Leader had disappeared forever or not. Or maybe that's just me. Besides, I didn't complain about the ending. I complained about the fact that it was ending. Oh well. At least this gave me another excuse to reread some of my favorite chapters. ^_~ Can't wait for your next works, Annie!

xD I love that avatar of Stewie. ^__^ The first banner is very good, though it's a bit too big for this site (though I'm assuming you don't plan to use it here). I like the background a lot, though it seems to get a bit "flatter" on the right side of the character in the picture. As I said, I really like that Stewie avatar. It's a real clean animation, and I think I remember that episode. xD This one is also a bit too large for an OtakuBoards avatar, but again, I'm assuming you don't plan to use it here. ^_^;; My one problem with it is that the red border is quite thick. Though it's not that big of an issue, it just irks me a bit. :animeswea I think the still Brain banner is the better one, though the animated one is good, too. Not much to comment on since they're both very well done. Your background is also very nice for this one. How do you make such nice backgrounds?

But then it wouldn't be a headband, so his name would no longer make sense. Unless of course he called the belt a headband and.. ugh. Too much thinking. >_< But still. You should give him a belt. xD Probably a white belt (white's lowest, right?

Name: Miru Oishii Age: 19 Chosen Magicka: Water Personality: Miru is usually very relaxed and calm. It is rare for her to lose her temper. She enjoys company, but also enjoys being by herself. Miru hates arguements, and tends to be the one who will settle them. She feels the worst when her friends are angry at her. Though calm and collected 24/7, Miru "releases" all of her emotions while fighting. She's ruthless and mercilious to her enemy, opponent, or victim. Weapon: A thin staff, made of a strange metal, with strange carvings that she thinks may be letters of some old, forgotten language. It was given to her by the leader of the academy. He said her father always wanted her to have it. She treasures it more than anything. Appearance: [See Attachment] She normally wears skirts, long or short, with long sleeve tops. Her clothes are mostly shades of blue. Bio: The sound of plates and glasses crashing on the floor filled the restaurant. A young girl humbly apologized to the customers, and went to fetch a mop. In the kitchen, she was greeted with harsh words and a cut in her pay. She took it silently, and returned to the mess to patiently clean it up. The rest of the evening went on as it normally did. Miru waited outside for her accompanyment to arrive. She glanced down at the small slip of paper she held in her hands. She had thought about it all evening. Ever since that young man handed it to her after she'd finished cleaning. The smile he gave her, she remembered, was the only thing that made her loose her composure. It was his smile, after all, that had made her drop those plates. "So kind.." She felt her cheek, and it was warm. She was blushing heavily while thinking about the boy. The sound of screeching tires pierced the silence, alerting Miru. Turning her head, she saw her acquaintance approaching quickly. He was acting his normal self, and was running through the middle of the street, nearly getting hit by every car on the road. She found herself chuckling as he came to a halt in front of her. "Dear brother. Must you be so roudy at this time of night? Shall I apologize to all the people for you?" He scoffed at her teasing, and patted her head as he always did. Miru, 7 at the time, walked happily down the path, clinging to her brother's arm to warm herself a bit. She strolled with him down this path nearly every night. They went the long way because the trees and creek alongside it were beautiful. "It's rather dark.." Miru began, but her brother hushed her. "Don't be so worried, Miru. We're almost there." They walked happily for another few minutes before she noticed something up ahead. "Look! Down the road!" It caught her brother's eye, too, for he told her he'd be right back before rushing off to scope it out. "Wait! Be careful, A-" She heard the screeching of tires, but this time her brother had not seen the car coming. "No!" she cried, running towards him. She saw the car swerve, it's headlights blinding her as they crossed her face. She heard a loud splash, and blinked a few times. "Brother.. No.." As she approached slowly, she heard voices. She knew that they must've been the ones in the car. She looked around, but it was too dark to see anything. Suddenly, the rays of flashlights lit up small parts of the pavement until they ran upon the body of a young boy. "No! I-It can't be!" Miru whispered, falling to her knees. She held out her hands, but could not bring herself to touch the unconcious body of her brother. "Stupid kid.. What was he doing?" "You.. You..!" Miru stood up slowly, her guilt and sadness succumbing to her anger. The water in the creek began to crash more violently until soon it was rising up in a funnel. She was commanding it. It was hers to use against the men that hurt her brother. She gave in, and felt the water swimming around her. She heard screams, but did nothing about it. Revenge, she thought. Dear brother. Here is our revenge. "AH!" Miru shouted, her body shooting out from under her blankets. She put her hand to her face, and felt the sweat. "The dream.." she muttered. "The same dream.." It had been years since that night. The night she was taken to the academy. She had been working at a restaurant to support her mother after her father had disappeared. Her brother also had a job, but she can't remember what it was. She cannot even remember her mother's face, her voice. Nor can she remember her name. The same for her brother and father. What happened to her family remains a mystery to her, but she knows that they are all out there somewhere. And they could possibly be closer than she thinks. In the meantime, she concentrates on her studies, and desires to control her power of water. She has made many friends in the 12 years she has attended the academy, but one she feels is more of a brother to her than anyone... -- Sorry about making the bio so long. o.O;; My creative-ness must've returned. Hope this is acceptable. ^_^;;

Writing Druik the Deviant & The Demonic Sandwich [PG]
Kitty replied to Dragon Warrior's topic in Creative Works
Is it just me? Or is that evil little demon of a sandwich losing his touch? But still. I sympathize with him. Foulkore sounds like an ass, but he's still another funny addition to the already strange cast. o.O;; And finally. The return of Oblivior! Can't wait for more. ^__^ -
Perhaps the POPE died from smoking too much DOPE? Or maybe he hung himself from a ROPE, wait, NOPE! Maybe he ate a bar of SOAP[/B']!
What a rude thing to say. I'm not religious, and I'm certainly not Catholic, but I don't go around bashing people who are important to others' faiths. If you're going to be an ***, do it somewhere else. Now, onto the topic.. The Pope, who had been fighting for his life for the past several weeks, has finally died. What are the Catholics to do? Most will go to Mass, as Gavin said he would do, and others will mourn the loss at home. I don't plan to do anything (remember, I'm an athiest), but if my Grandmother, who is indeed religious, wishes for us to go to Church tomorrow, I will in honor of him. The Pope was a man of faith, and there is nothing wrong with that. I wish his family luck, and I (surprisingly) await his successor.

Name: Aurora Sky Age: Twenty-Three (23) Sex: Female Appearance: Aurora Aurora stands 5'11", and carries the Mark of the Specimen on her right shoulderblade. Her hair is not quite as long as in the picture, but closer to halfway down her back, and it is almost always in a braid. Never without her favorite boots and gloves, she makes a bit of noise since the gloves are metal. The boots, however, are just a similarly colored fabric. The cape, she wears for no reason other than force of habit. Aurora wears an assortment of clothes that she recieved mainly by ransacking abandoned apartments and Gardens. She also has a gun holster on her waist. Weapon: The blades on her boots from the picture, and a Bullet-Gun she recieved from the Dead Letters. Specimen Oddity: Aurora's physical form was left intact after all the experimentation. However, she gained the ability to see through walls and things. She also has developing telekinisis. She meditates to advance her powers, but so far can only levitate herself, other things (large or small) and read the minds of those she is within five feet of (not a very large distance at all). Information: Aurora was born into a science influenced family. Her father was a scientist, her mother used to be a doctor, and her older brother Lucas was just out of college with a major in biology, and had already written several fantastic essays on the theories of evolution. At the age of 39, however, Aurora's mother died from a strange form of cancer, leaving 7 year old Aurora in her brother's care since her father was always busy with work. At first, Lucas took good care of his sister. But once he got a job, he became more occupied and had less time for her. She went to school, but came home to an empty apartment and an empty fridge. Some days she would eat nothing, and other days she would even eat toothpaste. At age 14, Aurora just left her brother's and returned to her old home, where her father resided. He had always had a short temper, but it was horrible that day. OOC: I'll have to finish the info later. Sorry. ^_^;;

Nina was hurt, and had been left alone after Isaak went with Theo to help him with the Yak carcas, when Elisa had shown up and attacked her. Enraged at Elisa's pointless hatred for her, Nina slowly began to show less and less mercy. Each blow was more powerful from the last. Nina had the advantage, for she could avoid almost every blow, and could return it with an even stronger one. After a few minutes of hatred fueled battle, the two stood glaring at each other; Elisa near fainting, while Nina had lots of energy left. "What the fuck is your problem!?" Nina cried. Elisa spat at her, but said nothing. "I just wanted to be left alone!" she yelled again, lunging at her opponent. Elisa took the charge head on, and was on the ground, but sent Nina into the water with a well placed, and well timed kick. Panting, she rolled over to see Nina, but instead saw only the stream. "Where.. did she go?" she coughed out. "Up.. HERE!" Nina shouted from up in the air, preparing to dive towards the ground and end the fighting with a powerful attack. As she approached the ground, picking up speed as she went, she neared quickly and happily awaited Elisa's death. But seconds before she hit her, a voice screamed, "STOP IT!" causing her to hesitate, and leap onto the ground feet away from Elisa. Turning to her left, she saw a familiar face. "Inna.." Behind her stood Francesco, who was examining her and Elisa. "You nearly killed her," he said in an emotionless tone, leaning against a tree. "What were you thinking?" scolded Inna, bending over to Elisa to check her over. "She attacked me," Nina pointed out, wanting to make that very clear, "And I don't even know why! All I wanted was to be left alone." Nina turned to walk away, but instead turned to see the chest of Franscesco. Looking up, she frowned. "What?" "You can do great things," he whispered in her ear. "What are you talking about?" she asked him. "You can kill thousands of people, and even one of your own. You are truly capable. Help me. Help me cleanse this Earth." Nina stood, bewildered with Francesco's odd request. "I-I.." She could not answer. Part of her felt sympathy for the humans. Part of her wanted to be like them. But another part wanted to be rid of them. After all, they had done this to her. And now they scorned and mocked her. Again, she fumbled in answering. "It is okay friend," Francesco sighed, giving her a smile. "Even if you do not understand yet, you are young. You will come to learn that the Earth needs cleansing. Come to me when you understand." And with that, he turned and began walking away. "Cesco!" cried Inna. Glancing back and forth from the nearly unconcious Elisa and the disappearing back of Francesco, she moaned sadly and lept off after him. Nina stood silently, watching the shadows of her companions disappear into the wooded forest of the park. "Nina!" She turned and saw Isaak. He noted her bloody fists and face, and the crumpled up Elisa. "What.. What happened?" he asked her, his face showing a bit of disappointment and fear. "She attacked me. Because I was crying," Nina said in an emotionless tone. One she had just heard from Francesco. "I was going to kill her.. I almost did. But.. Inna stopped me. She left with Francesco, though." "Inna and Cesco came by? Damn. Theo is with Nathen," Isaak muttered. "I almost killed her," Nina repeated to herself. The two stared into each other's eyes. "Isaak.. I almost killed her. And I would have.. I-I tried to kill a friend!" "Nina!" Isaak cried, reaching out for her, but she was already in the air. She wanted to escape again. She knew she'd be found; she wasn't very good at hiding. But even a little time was enough time.
-
"Nathen.." Nina sighed, slumping a bit. Though she was reuniting with so many she had missed, they didn't seem happy to see her. This both frustrated and hurt her, but she kept her feelings inside. She wouldn't let them out now. "Well, Theo.. It seems your breakfast got away," she said in a low tone, pointing towards his prey. The yak had wandered off and into the distance. "Shit," was all he had to say. Isaak attempted to talk more with his old friend, but Theo didn't seem willing to cooperate. "How the hell'd a yak get into the city, anyway?" Isaak mumbled. That reminded Theo of something, for he perked up. Standing up quickly, he rushed off. "Theo!" Nina called, but he didn't look back. "What's up with him?" Isaak whispered in her ear. She shook her head, still confused about what made the others run from her. Was it how she looked? No.. Couldn't be. The others were like her, too. All distorted and changed in different ways like different things. Was it how she acted? It wasn't her fault. She was just always happy to see her old friends. They had grown close. Why wouldn't they want her to be happy? Why weren't they happy? All these questions popping up in her head made her want to scream. But, instead, she turned towards Nathen. "What's up?" she asked him, a bit of her frustration sounding in her voice. "Don't start," he warned her. "Oh, stop it," she growled, "Stop it now! After all the time we've been apart, I'm glad to see you, and I try to talk with you. But what do you do? You ignore me! Then when I try to figure out why you're ignoring me, you tell me to leave you alone! Well you know what? Fine!" And with that, she raised her wings and flew away, tired of being ignored and taken for granted. She wasn't trying to be angry, she just wanted to spend time with her friends; the only ones who would accept her for who she had become. Nina wanted nothing more than to be normal and do what normal kids did. But that was no longer possible. Everybody ran away. No one would even give her a chance. Not even her friends.

Rebecca leaned against a large tree, her sigh breaking the silence. There was no one else there. Just her, and the water. Staring into it, she noticed something other than her reflection. It was a flower. "What the hell?" Dipping her hand into the cold pond, she retrieved the flower from beneath the surface, and pulled it up to her face for examination. It was a perfect length, not to short, not to tall, and its petals were a marvelous sky blue. Rebecca attempted to pet one of the petals, but it fell into her hand and seemed to melt away with the wind. Suddenly, another petal sprouted in its place. "What type of flower is this?" Now absorbed in figuring out what type of flower this strange plant was, Rebecca paid no mind to the sudden rush of air. Things slowly got louder and louder. Then, she heard a faint voice cry her name. "Rebecca.." But she ignored it. Still it repeated, growing louder and louder and finally to shouting volume. Still, she ignored it. Until the voice sounded out, "SPIKE!!" "AHH!" Rebecca jumped up, fists clenched. Glancing around, she recognized the familiar faces of her friends, and the surroundings of her car. She had been dreaming in her car. She rarely thought about her dreams, but this one was strange. And she had had it before, though she didn't know why. She sat silently, thinking about it for a few moments. "You never wake up 'till someone screams 'Spike' in your ear, huh?" a boy laughed, interrupting her train of thought. It was him. He had woken her up. Rebecca let out a low growl before lunging at him. "Woah!" the rest of the group chuckled, holding her back. The boy apologized, but continued to laugh. She spat at him, then turned to her best friend, Lily. "Am I late?" she laughed, shooing away the thoughts of her dream. Her friend chuckled a 'yes', then slapped one of the boys upside the head with her hand for being an idiot. "Com'mon. I'm sure the cafeteria's still open. Lets grab a bite before we go to first." Her friend agreed and waited for her to lock her cardoors. The group then walked off to bombard the poor cafeteria ladies with insults and pranks, and to steal a few snacks as well. -- OOC: Sorry if it isn't very good. Just told of her getting up for school. She usually sleeps in her car, for no real reason.
