Oh..my..God... These are the things that you don't expect to happen in real life. I mean, an unknown disease that's highly contagious? This has left me disturbed, to say the least. While still highly unlikely, we could face a new smallpox, or (dare I say) Black Death! And don't tell me that I'm exagerating, because both of those examples started small too...
Originally posted by Orien_Xel Homosexuality is a sin!"
I've been reading the Cathecism (the Catholic Church's moral book) and it specifically says: Homosexuality by itself is not a sin. We must give out support to those born like this, as most of them are born with this alteration in their genes. You can bash this into any homophobe to shut him up.

I've been brought up in a Catholic family, and thaught in a Catholic school. However, these recent years I've been morphing my vision of God into many different things. I refuse to believe that an organization of humans knows everything (like the Church has made me think at times). Instead, I prefer to use logic with religion. For example, my Religion teacher (who's also a priest) doesn't just tell us "what is right and wrong". Instead, he lets us debate, and can make things sound pretty logical. However, there are a few things that I simply can't accept as wrong, and I have my own logical reasons for them. Here are a few examples of how some "impossible stuff" can happen: The Great Flood- A lot of people say that a flood big enough to cover the world is impossible. I have this question for those: How big was the known world back then? The flood only needed to cover a certain region, and nobody would be the wiser. Those unaffected by the flood could be ancestors of the Vikings, or the Indians, or Oriental people. The River of Blood- There is a certain part of the Nile that has reddish sediments. They are positioned in a way that it would only take a small quake, with just the right precision, to create red water. See, examples like this made me reach my current belief that God does not use miracle per se. Instead, he created a world full of possibilities and exceptions, and he just uses those exceptions when necesary. If it weren't for that, we would already be another chunk of rock in space.

What would you do with a Trillion dollars?
Turkey replied to Senor Ding Dong's topic in General Discussion
After paying all the debts that I (and all the people I know) have, I'll spend 80% on charity/organizations. Then I'll spoil myself a little, before sending the rest of the money to the best bank money can buy. -
Originally posted by Spikey The most patient man in the Nintendo business, Shigerea Miyamoto. Miyamoto was only Producer for this game, whereas Aonuma called the shots. Not that it matters. This guy is like a younger Miyamoto.

Yeah. Right know, I'm watching the second episode, and I'm interested in seeing how quickly they get a divorce.

Gaming The Addiction That is Phantasy Star Online...
Turkey replied to Subversive's topic in Noosphere
I read the latest XBox mag, and it says that the Lobby will support voice chat, but you will only hear those close to you. Anyway, I finally got the Freeloader, so I've been playing/loving this game sincelast night. I've already clocked 9 hours on my character, and I'm buying the modem pretty soon (already got the money, and the JPN version only costs $3.50/month). I said that I would have the last laugh! :D -
Hmm...That name sounds pretty familiar. I'll see if I can borrow a CD of them, especially if they were art of Nirvana's inspiration.

Name- (To protect the identity of the real person, his name has been changed to Zulib Punk) Age- 21 Description- To see him, check here. The ball he carries around is made of iron, and he uses it like a mace. However, its weight prevents him from using it properly, and it becomes an emergency weapon. Personality- Years of hiding has made him a very paranoical person. He will usually try to avoid violence, but like a mouse, he will attack when cornered. He distrusts and prejudices agaisnt many kinds of people, especially those who don't wear clean clothes. Zulib was born in a happy family. However, he only lasted 1 hour with that family. Thing is, some guy wanted to adopt a baby without goign through any papers, or any consent, for that matter. This guy, a government agent, trained and took care of Zulib until he was 16. Then, as he was taught until then, he would go undercover for the biggest Mafia bust in the history of America. After two years undercover, his true identity was discovered, and he has been on the run since then. Changing names, and changing his looks, he has managed to evade the Mafia for a few years. Recently, he found a flier that advertise a town called Silent Hill. Visitors agree: You will never forget Silent Hill. Boy, were they right...

I casn't believe you talked about the "puzzle-ish" aspect of the game. While I don't know exactly how it works, it seems that each monster requires a specific blaster color to be destroyed.

I'm really hyped for this DVD. I doubt I will download a video of any episodem since I want to see it like it's meant to.
-
Hey Semjaza, I have your exact opposite opinion. Now that I know more about the game, I'm really interested. Maybe this will be my Spring GBA game buy. However, I'm thinking that the challenges in this game will be plentyful. Otherwise, I won't buy it.

I've liked a couple of reality shows (Boot Camp, Joe Millionaire, Murder in Small Town X). However, I am actually interested in watching this show. While I find it to be immoral(sp?) and an insult to marriage, the curious side of me wants to see how this turns out.

IC: They were all enjoying the food. From fruits, to rice, to strangely colored meats; each single student was having something he liked. And those who didn't, too bad for them. While Geist, Kinga, Fli and Charlie ate, the lights started darkening, in preparation for the show. Not far from them, a strange sound was heard. Student2- Hey, what's this? Student1- Ow! That's my eye! Student2- Liar! Eyes aren't so rough! Student1- I'm part lizard, you moron! After that calm, friendly chat; a lot of noise was heard. The two students got into a fight. The lights turned up again, Charlie got up, and ran towards the students. He quickly split them up. One of them looked suspiciously ordinary (almost generic). The other one, had a scaly green skin, and, well...he was a giant talking lizard. Okay, I won't bother asking who started this, since we all heard your little chat, you pair of hotheads!] Lizard- Sorry... Generic Student # 1283748- Yeah...we are just a little nervous. Charlie- Okay then, but there better not be another outburst like this. Otherwise *Flashes his "Street Fighting Teacher" ID*, I'll have to kick both your asses.:)

Anime What makes an Anime Charachter a Good Charachter
Turkey replied to tabmow's topic in Otaku Central
Originally posted by sweetreyes The outrageos faces anime characted make are kinda overboard, but if we humans could make your emotions as animate as the characters, we'd do just that, and it'll probably look like the animated characters in differnent shows.
Believe it or not, I've always believed that real human beings are inferior to animé human beings. If we are to evolve, that's the path we should take... Anyway, back on topic- For an animé character to be good, he/she must convince the watcher they aren't just drawn actors, but drawn people, living in their own worlds. -
I'm really interested in it, especially after seeing the new HUD. I can't wait for some info!

(Note- Even though it isn't a Nintendo game, Digipen is sponsored by them, so it technically belongs here.) Has anybody downloaded the demo of this game? I just finished the demo (which is unfortunately short), and I was left with a smile in my face. This RPG is similar in concept to Earthbound, with it's funny, but interesting plot; and it also manages to use a very interesting battle element (the Agression Meter). I highly recomend those with good bandwith to download this game as soon as they can. From the dialogue, to the characters, it's all good.

Honestly, as sick as this may sound, I could only eat a person if he/she was cooked. I'd probably just faint if I ate a person raw. If I ate a cooked human leg, I could probably imagine that it's something else. However, if I were to be in the worst condition of the lost people, I would gladly give my body in an extreme emergency. At least I would die giving others a chance to live.

OOC: I wonder...Does Jester know that his RPG is still alive? IC: Charlie had been in his room, trying to get some sleep for a while. He glanced at the clock, only to groan at the hour: 7:30 PM Giving up on sleeping, he went to get some food. Along the way, he bumped into Kinga, Fli and Geist. Charlie- *Giving a small wave* Hey there! Kinga- Hey Charlie! Fli- Are you going to eat, too? Charlie- Yeah, I couldn't get any sleep. Geist- Can't blame you for that. Kinga- Can we talk while we walk? Fli- Yeah, let's. Leaded by Charlie, they managed to get in the "Lunchroom". The place was huge, easily covering the size of a football stadium. There was a big, but quickly moving line getting food, all served by a cook that would've looked weird outside this school. In a side of the room, there was some sort of show going on, and Magical TVs were floating everywhere, displaying the show. Charlie- Wow....They remodeled...

How much episodes are in the DVDs? It looks like an interesting series.

Lately, I've begun to do some real drawing for my little comic (first time since Summer). The characters are heavily based on friends from school, with exception of Ramón the Disturbing (100% original). I am making a lot of them, so I'll be posting more during the following days. Later on, I'll make a detailed drawing that features all of them together. ....Sorry for using notebook paper, but I only use good paper for my best drawings/comics. About the frame-rate: I noticed some slowdown both in the Deku Tree (once, and minimal), and in Hyrule Castle Town (always seems to happen when I cross from the Field to the Castle in a hurry).

After finally getting to the dorms, Charlie checked his map. Charlie- Hmm.....I have to go up, so the elevator is...Oh! Here it is! He got into a large, yellowish elevator. When he extended his arm to press the "Faculty" button, a small bee-like robot came out of the ceiling, and bit Charlie in the arm. Beebot- DNA sampled. Thank you for your cooperation. *Robot dissapears* Charlie- What was that all about? Meanwhile, upstairs, Cage was sitting in a small office. A paper came out from a Fax machine. He took it, and added it to an archive that read: People to nuke if caught stealing.

I woudn't mind changing the name. But, like Semjaza said, the new name should be creative, and not something like "James' Anime Corner". I voted I don't care, but that's because you left out the "Other" option.
