Bravo, Retribution. My thoughts exactly. That's how I got out of my recent bout with depression-knowing that when I finally got through it, everything would be alright again. Once I left that part of the road behind me, I was very proud of myself for sticking to life when the going got rough. But back to the subject- Reading the previous posts, I do see where alot of you are coming from and how you can defend those who have committed suicide. But if it was someone close to you who actually did it, didn't you feel sadness and even a little bit of anger? I did, when my friend tried to commit suicide. I was a bit angry with her because after all the work I did to make her feel happy, she still tried it. There's my two cents. *clink* *clink* P.S: My friend promised me she'd never try it again and we've never been better friends. ^.^
Originally posted by ChemAngel so, even for what seems to be unselfish reasons, suicide is NEVER the answer...and at the end you will ALWAYS end up hurting the ones you love
I agree.
Originally posted by Pumpkin Also, you say that everyone has someone that cares about them? Sadly, this is not so for everyone. What about orphans who have no one? There are truely people out there that no one would care if died.
While respecting your opinion, I have to disagree with you on this account. While I never said that everyone has someone that cares about them, I do strongly belive it. For the orphan situation, there are other orphans in orphanages and chances are they've made a friend or two. Even if that's not true, the matron would most likely miss them. I belive that there's no such thing as a justified suicide. But that's just me.

I think I was only angry because this is one of the subjects that gets me really emotional. I spout really weird, stupid things when I get emotional. That's probably where the "rich kids" thing came from. ^.^;;; Sorry, just felt I had to say that. Continue with the subject.

I strongly disapprove of suicide. My friend tried to commit suicide twice, and ever since, I've disapproved. The reason I do is because the person who says that they want to commit suicide are, in my opinion, selfish. They only think invertly and about how bad their life is. They never think "It could be worse." If they would have considered that, they would have never committed suicide. I also think of suicide as the coward's way out. Life is one big, pissed off lion, growling at you, shoving you down, and tearing you apart. The people who are too scared to push back commit suicide. I become reather annoyed at the large percentage of teenagers that the notion of suicide has affected. Every other day, I hear someone saying "I want to die" for no reason. Don't even start to tell me that I don't know the person, because most of the time, I do. They're usually really rich and spoiled and say that they want to die because their mom and dad won't let them go to a party. Sorry if that got a little long winded. Near the end, I think I got a little angry too. But that's my stand on it and I'll stick by it.

Writing Scene Switchers..a little help?
kenshinsbabe replied to Dragonboym2's topic in Creative Works
I would suggest removing "Super Milk Chan" from your list. It's not actually an anime, more of a kid's cartoon with extremely foul language. Just a thought. (As Morpheus said, suggested titles in bold) D.N.Angel - Daisuke becomes Dark permanently Vampire Hunter D- D's hidden bloodlust takes over and he goes on a vampiric rampage! XD Shaman King- Omidamaru becomes unusable to Yoh Inuyasha- Kagome is stuck in her own time, unable to help Inuyasha fight Naraku .hack//sign- Morgana keeps Bear, Mimiru, Sora, B.T,Subaru, and Crim from logging in and helping Tsukasa any more Just some random ideas. I'll think of one for FMA, Wolf's Rain, and Cowboy Bebop for you. They'll bug me if I don't. XD -
I find scheduling to be too much of a hassle. Life's no fun if you have to plan it first. Of course, I just moved to a new place at the beginning of summer, so I don't have any friends, making my time managing alot easier that it would be normally. But, when I still lived back in the other place, everyday I would go out with my friends from about 9 or 10 in the morning and usually stay out until dark. Next year, I'll be getting a job, so that will majorly cut in to my leisure time. Back to the topic, I'm more of a spontaneous person. It usually happens when I get bored, which is all the time lately. I'm wasting most of my time reading, which kinda sucks. Usually, I'm outside all summer, but being couped up in this house while the sun is shining outside is killing me slowly. >

I didn't mean that Nibiki was evil. I don't even know who she is besides the pictures you gave us. XD I was saying that the steriotype of the "big breasts" was evil. Almost every anime has it and, as an amature artist of manga myself, I notice it like there's no friggen tomorrow and it bugs the crap outta me.

It seems as though the new episodes of our beloved Inuyasha have sold out to the public cheesyness. I do like the song, but the pre-episode thing was one of the cheesiest things I've ever seen. It was like cheese was oozing out of my TV. Like I said, the song is great, but my beef with the new beginning was the fact that it seems soul-less, sold out in a way.

Does anyone here study true alchemy?
kenshinsbabe replied to kenshi112's topic in General Discussion
Yes. That's EXACTLY what the world needs. Gold to be so abundant that it might as well grow on trees - and thus be totally useless. Trying to turn pig **** into gold isn't altruistic, it's trying to fumble**** around with stuff so you don't have to actually work at anything and get lucky one day and retire early. It's selfish and lazy, that's what it is.
I didn't mean it like that. I meant that, if alchemy was proven to work, we could put alchemy to good use. Like feeding third world countries. Of course, only a handful of people would be able to pull it off. Selfishness is the last thing that good alchemy is. T.T -
I've always liked Sailor Venus from the very first episode she was in. She was my second favorite character (closely tailing Leena). I mean, not only is she cute, but she has Artemis! Also, I always wanted to get my hair as long as her's. XD Color I have no trouble with. Chalk up one vote for Sailor Venus.

Does anyone here study true alchemy?

I myself was actually thinking about researching and studying alchemy. I doubt I would actually try any of it, but it would be a fun project. To any of you nay-sayers, I say why not? Nothing is impossible. I think alchemy, if someone really worked hard, could turn lead into gold. If it did, just think of the other things we could do to make the world a better place. -
^.^ I don't think it is, Lore. WASHU IS LOOOOOOOSIIIIIIIIING!!!!???? :animecry: Poo...*sigh* Oh well. I suppose that just means the sort of-veterans stand alone. I mean, Winry's really cool, don't get me wrong. But those who were avid fans of Tenchi Muyo (*raises hand and waves it in the air*) know what I'm talking about when I say that Washu was smart, funny, pretty, one of the most interesting characters, and, if you watch alot of episodes, you find that she's a very deep character as well. I do have good things to say about Winry though. She's beautiful, very talented with her automail, and a mother figure to Ed and Al. Someone has to be!! XD I think this one's in the bag for Winry, though. *sigh* Once again...poo.

I don't think any one of us can fit into just one catagory. >

My vote goes to Sango on this one. Partly because I've never seen Evangelion and partly because she's one of my favorite Inuyasha characters (next to Miroku! XD) Not only is she pretty, but she's very strong with her Hirikodes, or giant boomerang. Also, she's got Kirara, the kickass cat demon! She's fierce, strong, and can deal out a mean slap. Ask Miroku. :animesmil GO SANGO!

I knew this one was going to be hard the moment I set eyes on the names. I know both of these characters. I love both of these characters. I had to go with Washu though because I've liked her longer. AUGH!! SUCH A TOUGH CHOICE!! I stand by my choice though. I'm sorry, Winry!

Anime What two characters would make the best opponents for a fight?
kenshinsbabe replied to a topic in Otaku Central
Edward wins hands down. Kuwabara isn't exactly the best fighter, usually relying on ideas that he gets as someone's coming down on him. Edward's not much better, but he has better resources. Kuwabara merely has his Spirit Sword and the less used Spirit Flyswatter. XD Edward, on the other hand, has his alchemy, which he can use to create absolutely anything. He can make swords, shields, all kinds of stuff to defend and attack, whereas Kuwabara is limited to his sword. Edward Elric is da winna!! -
My birthday is on the same day as Prince Charles's...*sigh* Prince Charles...XD Just a little useless fact. Also, I was born nine months almost to the day from my friend whom I consider a sister. "As soon as they had you, Sam, they must have gotten busy!" It's just a little joke we have.

I like to hear stories like this. I like it when people show the thugs that not everyone is as helpless as they would like to think. *claps* Bravo!!

My family got a dog about two years before I was born, and my older sister named him Sebastian, after the crab on "The Little Mermaid". That purebred collie had to be one of the best, most playful dogs ever. When I was about four, my half black lab, half wolf dog got really sick and died and a couple months before that, my little pekengese got hit by a truck. All I had left was Sebastian. Every time I had a nightmare, he'd let me sleep near him or, on one occasion, with my head on his belly, for comfort. I was about six and my dad told me to put Sebastian out on his chain in the front yard. I hooked the chain up to his collar, then half hooked the other end to the thing in the ground. He pull and got away right off the bat. I couldn't catch him and no one came to help. I just watched him run off. He's long since dead now, or he'd be about sixteen years old. But ever since then, I've wanted another collie and I'll call him Sebastian II. I don't think my parents will take care of another collie, but I'll be out of school in a few years!

I think an underrated anime would definately be Escaflowne. Though lots of people have heard of it, most of them couldn't tell you what color Merle's hair is without looking at a picture (for those of you who don't know, it's pink). Another underrated anime is Vampire Hunter D. There are two movies- one simply called Vampire Hunter D. It was made in the 70's or 80's or something like that, but it's still a good movie. The second movie, Vampire Hunter D-Bloodlust, is one of the best animated things I've seen out there. The storyline is good, the characters are great and the animation is out of this world! As for overrated animes, I completly agree with the fact the DBZ is completly overrated. Yu-Gi-Oh's overratedness has gone down steadily, thank God!!
