1. I wish my school(High School) had an anime club...:bawl: It'd be really nice to meet more people offline that are into anime. I only know like 4 or 5 people that are.:(

I've seen it. It was OK, but it just wasn't as funny as some other Adam Sandler movies..^^;
3.
Originally posted by memphis_drake I heard it was coming out in december, so its true?
No, it's coming out next month(October). The 8th to be exact.
4. It was announced a few months ago, actually.:) I've read online translations, and the manga is quite different than the anime(in a good way) so I'm definitely getting it when it comes out.:D I think the release date was in November, but I see they changed it.
5. I have one good friend who likes anime. All he watches though is stuff on TV, like Yu Yu Hakusho and DBZ. Still fun to talk to about it though. And a few kids at my school like it, but that's about all.
6.
the only problem i have wit da boards here r the moderaters breathing down your neck the whole time saying "ooo your spam ur kicked off"
Actually, I'm glad the mods are sort of strict here. Though if everybody actually put effort into their posts and followed the rules, they wouldn't have to be as strict. And the AS boards... from what I've heard, the people there type/act like first graders. So no, it's not better in my opinion since I like to be on a board where there is actually something interesting to post/read about and not something where I can't understand half of what's being posted.
7. It's kinda tough to find info, but here's an old article: April 01, 2002 - Perhaps the most intriguing of Sega and Red Entertainment's announcements at Game Jam this past weekend was Trigun The Planet Gunsmoke, a multiplayer network game for an unspecified platform based on Yasuhiro Nightow's Deep Space Planet Future Gun Action manga. The popular Young King Ours serial has run through three separate series (the one subtitled "The Planet Gunsmoke" is the third) of sci-fi/Wild West action on a distant desert planet, and it would make a beautiful setting for an online game. Details are slim for now, but you can whet your appetites with this brief clip from the Game Jam trailer movie, featuring some impressive cel-shaded characters, and look forward to further news soon. Here's the original link:>>Click Here
8. If that's not "extremist" I don't know what is. We feel safe as parents of young teens to allow them to watch television unsupervised even at a late hour because we trust in proper TV ratings and have our family television set with a parental code for anything PG-13 or above. "Young teens", eh? I feel really sorry for her kids then. I can understand why she wouldn't allow them to watch something R-Rated, but they aren't even allowed to watch something appropriate for their age group(PG-13), she might as well not let em' watch TV at all then if she's gonna shelter them like that. We are outraged that it has been rated TV-PG to be openly viewed by kids on, of all places, The Cartoon Network. I thought it was TV-14? And people in general have the wrong assumptions about cartoons. They think they're all for kids. What we are saying is that this particular show is vulgar and dangerous and could possibly incite violence. Most kids are smart enough to tell the difference between fiction and reality. If they aren't, then it's their parents fault for not teaching them right from wrong.
9. The new style's gonna take some getting used to. I really liked the anime style look. But I can adjust.;) I'm more interested in the story and gameplay than anything else.
10.
Originally posted by Leo Erm another question which may be stupid but whats Adult Swim? I mainly watch my anime either via DVD or Sci Fi channel
Adult swim is on Cartoon Network. It comes on at 11:00, but the anime they show isn't on until 12:00.(besides on Sundays when they show Big O at 11:00) But the time they're on depends on what part of the US you live in.(Note: Their anime is edited some, though not as much as say... something on Toonami) They show: Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, Big O, Blue Gender, and they're going to have Inu Yasha on there again on the 25th. They also used to have Lupin III, and I imagine it'll be on there again some time in the future. You also might wanna check out Tech TV's anime unleashed block. As for anime I reccomend: Spririted away(movie) Princess Mononoke(movie) Laputa: Castle in the Sky(movie) Kiki's Delivery Service(movie) Grave of the Fireflies(movie) Excel Saga(26 episode)If you like humor.:D Trigun(26 episode) FLCL(6 episode)yet another great funny one. that's really all I can think of right now...
11.
Originally posted by hellfire78 why do theyhave to make that sleeper guy always mad. lastnight he got killed i thought cool the main carecter died but watever i thought that the whole "whats gonna happen to me on second earth" thing was gettin old.
yuji didn't die. He got injured. Said so in the next episode preview. And I'm starting to like Blue Gender. I didn't like it at first, but I'm glad I started watching it. :)

I'm scared of dolls(or at least being in the same room with one alone).:nervous: I've always hated them since I was little. Those blank staring eyes scare the crap outta me. I've also always been afraid of ghosts.

Trigun

For the most part, the dub dialouge stays true to the original. The first half of the series (ep. 1-11) is mostly for comedy and character introduction, while the 2nd half is more serious and the main storyline is introduced. The dub gets better in later episodes. Trigun is actually one of the better dubs out there IMO.(though the original is still GREAT!) And Adultswim didn't really edit out much more than a few gun-to-head moments and some language(like the word s**t)but nothing that really takes away from the story. As for why I like it, it just has something that appeals to me more than some other animes I've seen. I like most of the characters and I like the idea of the plot. That's just my taste in anime though. There's nothing wrong with you not liking Trigun, It's probably just not your cup o' tea.
14. Well, part of the reason I don't think Trigun would work as a movie is that I don't think they could find actors that would be good as the characters. I just don't see ANYBODY playing Vash or Wolfwood. And I guess another reason is I'm afraid of them messing it up... which has a high probability of that happening. But that goes for any anime movie, not just Trigun.
15. Although I don't read/look at yaoi, I have no problem whatsoever with it. Same with yuri. What's the difference between fan-made hetero relationships and fan-made yaoi/yuri? However, I DO think that fanfic writers should clearly label them so it doesn't upset the people that hate it.
16. Noooo.. I wouldn't like seeing a Trigun Movie(or any anime to live action) no matter how good it was supposed to be. I just don't like the idea of anime->live action in general. They look better animated. But that's just what I think.:shifty:
17. There is a TV series, but I don't think it's been released in the US. And it's still going on in Japan.
18. I've been drawing as long as I can remember. I think I was 2 years old when I started. I only started to get good when I was in 4th/5th grade though. When I get a scanner(which I dun think'll be any time soon) I'll post some art here.
19. How's my new MOMO sig? I was messing around with photoshop and I thought it turned out pretty good. And I usually don't like the color pink..but I'm happy with the way this looks! ^_^ (Xaila is the name I use on another forum) Anyways... comments?
20. I saw it a month or so ago and I loved it! The animation/graphics quality was even better than the show. The DVD had some pretty interesting extras also. It also had an interesting story. Though for me, it still doesn't top a lot of the TV series.
21. (I don't write Fanfiction) Call me wierd, but I used to like reading about Sephiroth/Aeris. O_o They do look kinda cute together. But I know it wouldn't work in the game. After all,
he did kill her.
I also used to read about Sephiroth/Tifa, too. 0_0;; Wierd. Still fun to read though. I usually end up liking some pairings that don't have much interaction in the game/anime at all, too. Some of them make good fanfics, I once read a really good Vincent/Elena fanfic. Now with non-canon anime pairings: Legato/Dominique. ... I just think they look nice together. I dunno if it'd actually work, though. That's all I can really think of right now... well ones that I like, anyways.
22. I think it's just a fluffy fur boa, myself. That's where his nickname "Fluffy" originated from! ^___^ If it is his tail though, then it fuses with him during his transformation since it's not attached to his rear end in his human-like form.
23. I'm not easily disturbed, but Ninja Ressurection would be pretty darn disturbing for a lot of people. It's VERY gory. It makes a lot of other animes look like a walk through a flower field in comparison. Not to mention the two sex/rape scenes. O_o Next would probably be the Second Renaissance(both parts)in the Animatrix. They were my favorite Animatrix episodes, but they're pretty darn disturbing. Gore, violence, nudity and such. Though it actually served a purpose to stress how terrible the events that happened were.(it was supposed to be shocking and disturbing) Though if you're talking about the "wierd" factor, then Lain was pretty disturbing. 0_0
24. Eh it was OK. First episode was kind of boring though. The story'll probably pick up later so I'll keep on watching. I prefer FLCL though outta the new stuff AS is showing.:D
25. I don't think it was supposed to make much more sense then that... ^_^; It was hilarious though. I plan on watching more.
